Verses 5 to 8 of the Hanuman Chalisa present four important spiritual dimensions of Lord Hanuman—his divine form, philosophical essence, devotion, and spirit of service. These verses not only describe his external valor but also beautifully reflect his inner qualities such as devotion, wisdom, discipline, and humility.
The fifth verse, “Haath Vajra Au Dhwaja Virajai, Kanthe Moonj Janevu Saajai,” describes Hanuman’s heroic form. The thunderbolt (vajra) in his hand symbolizes invincible strength, while the flag (dhwaja) represents righteousness and dharma. The sacred thread (janeu) worn across his shoulder signifies discipline, purity, and celibacy. This verse teaches a profound lesson—true strength lies not merely in physical power, but in self-control and disciplined living.
The sixth verse, “Shankara Suvana Kesari Nandana, Teja Pratapa Maha Jaga Vandana,” reveals Hanuman’s divine origin. He is considered an incarnation or aspect of Lord Shiva and the son of Kesari. Thus, he embodies the combined qualities of Shiva—power, compassion, and spiritual depth. His radiance and glory are so महान (great) that the entire world reveres him. This teaches us that those connected with the Divine naturally shine with greatness and earn universal respect.
The seventh verse, “Vidyavan Guni Ati Chatura, Rama Kaja Karive Ko Aatura,” highlights Hanuman’s intelligence and dedication to service. He is not only powerful but also highly knowledgeable, virtuous, and wise. Most importantly, he is always eager to serve Lord Rama. This gives us a valuable lesson—knowledge and talent find true meaning only when they are used in the service of the Divine or for a higher purpose.
The eighth verse, “Prabhu Charitra Sunive Ko Rasiya, Rama Lakshmana Sita Mana Basiya,” expresses Hanuman’s deep devotion. He finds immense joy in listening to the stories and glories of Lord Rama. In his heart reside Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita eternally. This represents the highest state of devotion—where the Divine lives permanently in one’s heart. It teaches us that true devotion is not limited to rituals, but is about keeping God alive within our inner being.
In essence, these four verses portray Hanuman as the ideal devotee, a wise warrior, a humble being, and a perfect servant of the Divine. The message is clear—when discipline, devotion, wisdom, and service come together, life attains completeness. Those who walk this path are blessed with the grace of Lord Hanuman.

He explains that before difficult times arrive for an individual or a family, nature often gives subtle warning signs. If we observe these signs carefully and act with awareness, we can avoid major troubles in the future. Let us now understand these signs in detail.
The first sign is the sudden drying of the Tulsi (holy basil) plant at home. It is believed that in a house blessed by Goddess Lakshmi, the Tulsi plant always remains green and healthy. However, if it dries up without any clear reason, it is considered a sign of upcoming financial difficulties and poverty. This serves as a warning to stay alert and cautious.
The second sign is unnecessary conflicts within the home. If a peaceful household suddenly starts experiencing frequent arguments over small matters, it indicates the onset of bad times. Where there is constant conflict, prosperity does not stay. This disturbs mental peace and leads to poor decisions, eventually resulting in financial loss and loss of social respect.
The third important sign is disrespect towards elders. When a person becomes arrogant and starts disregarding parents, elders, or teachers, their downfall begins. “శుభ నివాస స్వామి” అనే పదబంధం ద్వారా శ్రీ వేంకటేశ్వరుని దైవ స్వరూపం భక్తుల హృదయాల్లో శాంతి, మంగళం, ఆనందం నింపే నివాసంగా ఉండే స్వామి అని సూచిస్తుంది. ఆయన సన్నిధిలో భక్తుడు పొందేది కేవలం భౌతిక సుఖం మాత్రమే కాదు; అంతర్ముఖమైన ఆనందం, చైతన్యం, ఆత్మసాక్షాత్కారం కూడా. ఈ స్వామి అనుగ్రహంతో మనసు శుద్ధి చెంది, జీవితం ధర్మమార్గంలో పయనిస్తుంది.

The divine title Sri Chakra Shubanivasa Swami Jagamelu Chidvilasa of Lord Sri Venkateswara carries within it a profound blend of spirituality, philosophy, and devotion. The “Sri Chakra” is regarded as the supreme sacred diagram in the tradition of the Divine Mother, representing the subtle form of the supreme energy (Parashakti). It embodies the fundamental principles of creation, sustenance, and dissolution, making it a powerful symbol of the cosmos itself. “Sri Chakra” signifies the sacred realm where this divine energy resides - essentially the inner spiritual space where divine consciousness shines.

According to traditional belief, this stotram was revealed to help devotees overcome poverty—not only material hardship, but also inner spiritual emptiness.
In this hymn, the glory of Goddess Lakshmi is described in a deeply elevated manner. She is not merely the bestower of wealth; she is the embodiment of all forms of prosperity - wisdom, righteousness, peace, compassion, health, and overall well-being. Thus, chanting this stotram is believed to bring holistic prosperity, enriching both the outer and inner life of a devotee.
A central theme of the stotram is humble surrender. The devotee approaches the Divine Mother with complete openness, acknowledging one’s limitations and seeking her grace. I bow my head to Lord Hanuman, who is as swift as the mind, as fast as the wind, who has conquered his senses, who is the श्रेष्ठ among the wise, the son of Vayu, the leader of the Vanara army, and the divine messenger of Lord Rama.
Hanuman Vijayotsavam, one of the most sacred festivals in Hindu tradition, is celebrated with deep devotion as He Found Sita Mata in the Lanka, the embodiment of courage, selfless service, and unwavering devotion. This auspicious day is observed as a “festival of victory” (Vijayotsavam). According to tradition, after Lord Rama was crowned in Ayodhya, he also grandly celebrated a victory festival on Chaitra Purnima in honor of Hanuman, who played a crucial role in finding Sita Mata in Lanka, upholding dharma, truth, and devotion. Since then, this day has been observed as a sacred Vijayotsavam.
Hanuman Vijayotsavam: In North India, Hanuman Jayanti is observed on the full moon day (Chaitra Purnima). The same occasion is referred to as Hanuman Vijayotsavam by us. In Odisha, people believe that Hanuman Jayanti falls on Mesha Sankranti. In Tamil Nadu, it is celebrated on the new moon day (Amavasya) of the Margashirsha month. In Karnataka, devotees observe it on the Shukla Trayodashi (13th day of the bright fortnight) in Margashirsha. In Telugu traditions, there is also a practice of observing Hanuman Vratham on that day. Additionally, in the month of Jyeshtha, the celestial wedding of Suvarchala Devi and Lord Hanuman is celebrated.
Lord Hanuman, the son of Vayu Deva and born to Anjana Devi, is a divine manifestation of strength, wisdom, and devotion. From childhood, he displayed extraordinary power and intelligence. The famous incident where he leaped towards the Sun, thinking it to be a fruit, reflects his immense strength. At the same time, he exemplified humility, discipline, and deep respect for his Guru. These qualities made him truly exceptional.
In the Ramayana, Hanuman’s role is central and indispensable. His devotion to Lord Rama is unmatched. His heroic deeds—discovering Sita Devi, entering Lanka, defeating demons, and setting Lanka ablaze—showcase his valor. Most notably, his leap across the ocean stands as a symbol of determination and fearless resolve. These glorious achievements are why Hanuman Jayanti is also revered as a festival of victory.
The full moon day of the Chaitra month is also known as “Maha Chaitri.” Scriptures mention that on this very day, after the defeat of Ravana and return to Ayodhya, Lord Rama organized a grand celebration to honor Hanuman’s invaluable service to Find Sita.
On Hanuman Jayanti, devotees observe fasting, visit temples of Lord Hanuman, and perform special prayers. Recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa and Sundara Kanda is considered highly auspicious. Many also engage in charity and service activities. It is believed that by the grace of Hanuman, fear is removed, courage is strengthened, and success is attained in life.
Chanting the mantra “Sri Rama Dootaya Hanumate Namah” at least 21 times is believed to bestow protection and victory.
Hanuman is not merely a symbol of physical strength, but also of inner power, righteousness, devotion to the गुरु, and selfless service. His life teaches us a profound truth—“With true devotion, nothing is impossible.” On this sacred occasion, we should strive to imbibe his noble qualities and walk the path of dharma.

హిందూ ధర్మంలో అత్యంత పవిత్రమైన పండుగలలో ఒకటైన హనుమజ్జయంతి విజయోత్సవం, పరాక్రమానికి, నిస్వార్థ సేవకు, అచంచల భక్తికి ప్రతీక అయిన శ్రీ ఆంజనేయ స్వామివారు సీతమ్మ వారిని లంకలో కనుగొన్న దినంగా అత్యంత భక్తిశ్రద్ధలతో జరుపుకుంటారు. ఈ పర్వదినం “విజయోత్సవం” భావించ బడుతుంది. శ్రీరాముడు అయోధ్యకు పట్టాభిషిక్తుడైన తరువాత సీతమ్మను సరియైన కాలంలో కనుగొని, ధర్మానికి, సత్యానికి, భక్తికి సాధించిన విజయాల ప్రతీకగా, ఈ ధర్మ కార్యంలో తనకు అత్యంత సహాయం చేసిన హనుమంతునికి, చైత్ర పౌర్ణమి నాడు ఘనంగా విజయోత్సవం నిర్వహించాడని కూడా చెబుతారు. అప్పటి నుండి ఈ విజయోత్సవం మనం నిర్వహించుకుంటున్నాం.
హనుమద్విజయోత్సవం : ఉత్తరాది వారికి చైత్ర పూర్ణిమ హనుమజ్జయంతి. దానినే మనవారు హనుమద్విజయోత్సవం అంటారు. ఒరియా ప్రజలు మేష సంక్రాంతినాడు హనుమజ్జయంతి జరిగినట్లు భావిస్తారు. తమిళనాట మార్గశిర అమావాస్య నాడు హనుమజ్జయంతిని నిర్వహిస్తారు. మార్గశిరంలోనే శుద్ధ త్రయోదశి తిథిని కన్నడ ప్రజలు జరుపుకుంటారు. ఆనాడే తెలుగునాట హనుమద్ర్వతం చేసుకునే ఆచారం ఉంది. జ్యేష్ఠమాసంలో సువర్చలా హనుమంతుల కల్యాణం నిర్వహిస్తారు.
శ్రీ హనుమంతుడు వాయుదేవుని పుత్రుడిగా, అంజనాదేవి గర్భంలో అవతరించిన దివ్య శక్తి. బాల్యంలోనే అపారమైన బలం, ధైర్యం, జ్ఞానం కలిగి ఉన్నాడు. ఆయన సూర్యునిని ఫలమని భావించి దానిని తినడానికి ఎగిరిన సంఘటన ఆయన అసామాన్య శక్తిని తెలియజేస్తుంది. కానీ అదే సమయంలో వినయం, నియంత్రణ, గురుభక్తి వంటి లక్షణాలను కూడా ఆయన ప్రదర్శించాడు. ఈ లక్షణాలే ఆయనను ఇతరుల కంటే ప్రత్యేకంగా నిలిపాయి.
రామాయణంలో హనుమంతుడి పాత్ర అత్యంత కీలకం. శ్రీరాముని పట్ల ఆయనకు ఉన్న భక్తి అచంచలమైనది. సీతాదేవిని కనుగొనడం, లంకలో ప్రవేశించడం, రాక్షసులను సంహరించడం, లంకను దహనం చేయడం వంటి కార్యాలు ఆయన పరాక్రమాన్ని ప్రతిబింబిస్తాయి. ముఖ్యంగా సముద్రాన్ని దాటిన ఘట్టం ఆయన సంకల్పబలం మరియు ధైర్యానికి నిదర్శనం. ఈ విజయాలన్నీ ఈ హనుమజ్జయంతిని “విజయోత్సవం”గా భావించే కారణం.
చైత్ర మాసంలో వచ్చే పౌర్ణమిని ‘మహా చైత్రి’ అని కూడా పిలుస్తారు. చైత్ర పౌర్ణమి నాడే.. రావణ సంహారం తర్వాత అయోధ్యకు తిరిగి వచ్చిన శ్రీరాముడు.. హనుమంతుడి సీతమ్మను సరియైన కాలంలో కనుగొని చేసిన సాయానికి కృతజ్ఞతగా పెద్ద ఎత్తున విజయోత్సవం జరిపిన రోజుగా పురాణాలు చెబుతున్నాయి.
హనుమజ్జయంతి రోజున భక్తులు ఉపవాసం ఉంటూ, ఆంజనేయ స్వామి ఆలయాలకు వెళ్లి ప్రత్యేక పూజలు చేస్తారు. “హనుమాన్ చాలీసా”, “సుందరకాండ” పారాయణం చేస్తూ భక్తులు ఆయన అనుగ్రహాన్ని కోరుకుంటారు. కొంతమంది తమ శక్తి మేరకు అన్నదానం చేసి, సేవా కార్యక్రమాలలో పాల్గొంటారు. ఈ రోజు హనుమంతుడి ఆశీస్సులతో భయం తొలగి, ధైర్యం పెరిగి, జీవితంలో విజయాలు సాధిస్తామని విశ్వసిస్తారు.
“శ్రీ రామదూతాయ హనుమతే నమః” అనే మంత్రాన్ని కనీసం 21 సార్లు పఠించడం వల్ల రక్షణ మరియు విజయం లభిస్తాయి.
హనుమంతుడు కేవలం బలానికి ప్రతీక మాత్రమే కాదు, ఆత్మశక్తి, ధర్మబద్ధత, గురుభక్తి, సేవాభావం వంటి విలువల ప్రతిరూపం. ఆయన జీవితం మనకు ఒక గొప్ప సందేశం ఇస్తుంది – “భక్తి ఉంటే అసాధ్యం అనే దే లేదు.” హనుమజ్జయంతి సందర్భంగా మనం కూడా ఆయన గుణాలను ఆచరిస్తూ, మన జీవితంలో ధర్మమార్గంలో నడవాలని సంకల్పించాలి.
