*దైవాల్లబ్దేన సంతోష ఆత్మవిచ్చరణార్చనమ్॥*
*తాత్పర్యము : దీని కొరకై శాస్త్ర విహిత ధర్మములను యథాశక్తిగా ఆచరింపవలెను. శాస్త్ర విరుద్ధమైన కర్మలను పరిత్యజింప వలయును. ప్రారబ్ధానుసారము (దైవానుగ్రహముస) లభించిన దానితో తృప్తి చెందవలయును. ఆత్మజ్ఞానుల పాదములను సేవింప వలెను. అనగా వారి సమీపముననే యుండి వారి సత్సాంగత్య లాభములను పొందవలెను.*
*వ్యాఖ్య : ఈ శ్లోకం నిరంతరం అనుసంధానం చేయాలి. మనసు ప్రశాంతతను పొందాలీ అంటే తన ధర్మాన్ని తాను శక్తి మేరకు ఆచరించాలి. ధర్మము కాని దాని నుండి వైదొలగాలి. స్వధర్మమే ఫలమును కోరిచేస్తే విధర్మమవుతుంది. భగవదాజ్ఞ్యయా భగవత్కైంకర్య రూపేణా కర్మలు చేయాలి. అవిహిత అప్రతిషిద్ధ నిషిద్ధ వ్యాపారాలు విధర్మం. నిషేధించిన దాన్ని విడిచిపెట్టాలి, ఏ ఏ పని చేయకూడదని చెప్పలేదో దాన్ని కూడా విడిచిపెట్టాలి. వీటినుండి తొలగడానికి పరమాత్మ ప్రసాదించిన దానితో తృప్తి పొందాలి. అలా తృప్తి చెందడం వలన విధర్మ నివృత్తి కలుగ్తుంది. మరి పరమాత్మ ఇచ్చిన దానితో తృప్తి చెందాలంటే? మనసు కడగబడాలి. అది భాగవత ఆరాధనతో కలుగుతుంది. భగవంతుని భక్తులని ఆరాధిస్తే, భగవంతుడు ఇచ్చిన దానితో తృప్తిపడడం అలవాటవుతుంది. అంటే భగవంతుని భక్తులూ అనడానికి చిహ్నం, వారు భగవంతుడు ఇచ్చిన దానితో సంతృప్తి పడే వారు.*

*🌴 4. Features of Bhakti Yoga and Practices - 02 🌴*
*02. sva-dharmācaraṇaṁ śaktyā vidharmāc ca nivartanam
daivāl labdhena santoṣa ātmavic-caraṇārcanam
*MEANING : One should execute his prescribed duties to the best of his ability and avoid performing duties not allotted to him. One should be satisfied with as much gain as he achieves by the grace of the Lord, and one should worship the lotus feet of a spiritual master.*
*PURPORT : In this verse there are many important words which could be very elaborately explained, but we shall briefly discuss the important aspects of each. The final statement is ātmavic-caraṇārcanam. Ātma-vit means a self-realized soul or bona fide spiritual master. Unless one is self-realized and knows what his relationship with the Supersoul is, he cannot be a bona fide spiritual master. Here it is recommended that one should seek out a bona fide spiritual master and surrender unto him (arcanam), for by inquiring from and worshiping him one can learn spiritual activities.*
*The first recommendation is sva-dharmācaraṇam. As long as we have this material body there are various duties prescribed for us. Such duties are divided by a system of four social orders: brāhmaṇa, kṣatriya, vaiśya and śūdra. These particular duties are mentioned in the śāstra, and particularly in Bhagavad-gītā. Sva-dharmācaraṇam means that one must discharge the prescribed duties of his particular division of society faithfully and to the best of his ability. One should not accept another's duty. If one is born in a particular society or community, he should perform the prescribed duties for that particular division. If, however, one is fortunate enough to transcend the designation of birth in a particular society or community by being elevated to the standard of spiritual identity, then his sva-dharma, or duty, is solely that of serving the Supreme Personality of Godhead. The actual duty of one who is advanced in divine consciousness is to serve the Lord. As long as one remains in the bodily concept of life, he may act according to the duties of social convention, but if one is elevated to the spiritual platform, he must simply serve the Supreme Lord; that is the real execution of sva-dharma.*

*బుద్ధిమంతులలో శ్రేష్ఠుడు, లోకోపకారమునందు సర్వదా నిమగ్నమైనవాడు, సర్వకాలములలో దేవకార్యమును చేయువాడునగు విష్ణువు ఆ నారదునితో నిట్లనెను (44). వత్సా! నేను శివుని ఆజ్ఞచే చెప్పుచున్నాను. నీవు వెంటనే త్రిపురములకు వెళ్లుము. ఆ నగరములలో నివసించు వారిని మోహపెట్టుటకై ఋషి శిష్యులతో గూడి అచటకు వెళ్లినాడు(45). విష్ణువు యొక్క మాటను విని, నారద మహర్షి మాయావులలో అగ్రేసరుడగు ఆ ఋషి ఉన్న స్థానమునకు వెంటనే వెళ్లెను (46). మాయావి యగు నారదుడు ఆ విధముగా మాయావియగు ప్రభుని ఆదేశముచే ఆ పురమును ప్రవేశించి ఆ మాయావి వద్ద దీక్షను స్వీకరించెను (47). తరువాత నారదుడు త్రిపురాధిపతి వద్దకు వెళ్లి క్షేమ సమాచారమును ప్రశ్నించి, తరువాత విషయమునంతనూ ఆ మహారాజునకు విన్నవించెను (48).
నారదుడిట్లు పలికెను.*
*ఇచటకు ధర్మ నిష్ఠుడు, విద్యలన్నింటిలో ఆరితేరినవాడు, వేదమునందలి పరావిద్యను ఎరింగిన వాడు అగు యతి ఒకరు వచ్చి యున్నారు (49). నేను అనేక ధర్మములను చూచితిని గాని, అవి దీని సాటి గావు. ఈ ధర్మము సనాతనమని మాకు తోచినది. కావున మేమీ ధర్మములో దీక్షను గైకొంటిమి (50). ఓ రాక్షస శ్రేష్ఠా! మహారాజా! నీకు ఆధర్మము నందు అభిరుచి కలిగినచో, నీవు కూడా ఆ ధర్మమునకు సంబంధించిన దీక్షను గైకొనుము (51).*

42. On being remembered by him Viṣṇu mentally thought of Śiva. Receiving his behest by the process of thought forms he remembered Nārada.
43. Immediately after, Nārada approached Viṣṇu. After bowing to him and eulogising him, he stood before Viṣṇu with palms joined in reverence.
44. Viṣṇu, the foremost among the intelligent and who always carried out the tasks of the gods and who was engaged in rendering help to the worlds spoke to Nārada then.
45. “O dear, this is being mentioned to you at the bidding of Śiva. Go to the three cities immediately. The sage has gone there already for deluding the residents of the cities.”
Sanatkumāra said:—
46. On hearing his words, Nārada, the excellent sage went there quickly where the ascetic expert in magic was stationed.
47. Nārada, an expert in magic, at the bidding of the lord, an expert in the art of illusion, entered the three cities along with the deceptive sage, and got himself initiated.
48. Then Nārada approached the lord of the three cities. After the preliminary enquiries about his health and welfare he spoke to the king.
Nārada said:—
49. A certain sage, very virtuous and excellent master of lores has arrived here. He possesses complete knowledge of the Vedic lore.
50. Many cults have been observed by me but none of them is like his. Seeing the eternal virtue in this cult we have got ourselves initiated into it.
51. O great king, O excellent Asuras, if you have any interest in that cult, you shall get yourself initiated into it.

There is also a tantra path along with these three. Devotees can follow any path according to their qualifications and interest. Whatever the path, devotional practices are paramount. It is important to offer oneself to Srimata. When you offer with devotion, you get satisfaction. That worship will give you happiness. Therefore devotional motives are more important than ritual. If the ritual is also followed, great glory can be achieved. An ungodly approach does not lead to efficiency but leads to arrogance and hypocrisy.*
