*ఓ స్వామీ! ప్రభూ! దేవతలకు వచ్చి పడిన ఈ ఆపదను నీవు ఎరుంగక పోవుట ఎట్లు సంభవము? కావున మమ్ములను రక్షించుటకొరకై సముద్రతనయుడగు జలంధరుని సంహరించుము (18). ఓ నాథా! నీవు పూర్వము మా రక్షణకొరకై గరుడవాహనుడగు విష్ణువును ఆదేశించి యుంటివి. కాని ఆతడీ నాడు మమ్ములను రక్షింప సమర్థుడు గాడు (19). అతడు లక్ష్మీదేవితో సహా జలంధరునకు వశుడై వాని గృహములో నివసించుచున్నాడు. వాని ఆజ్ఞకు వశవర్తులమగు మేము దేవతలము కూడా అచటనే ఉన్నాము (20). ఓ శంభూ! బలవంతుడగు ఆ సముద్రతనయుడు నీతో యుద్ధమును చేయుటకు వచ్చుచున్నాడు. మేము ఆతని కంట బడకుండగా ఇచటకు నీ సన్నిధికి వచ్చి యుంటిమి (21). ఓ స్వామీ! కావున నీవు శీఘ్రముగా ఆ జలంధరుని యుద్ధములో సంహరించ తగుదువు. ఓ సర్వజ్ఞా! శరణు జొచ్చిన మమ్ములను రక్షింపుము (22).*
*సనత్కుమారుడిట్లు పలికెను- ఆ ఇంద్రాది దేవతలందరు ఇట్లు పలికి ఆ ప్రభువునకు ప్రణమిల్లి మహేశ్వరుని పాదములను దర్శిస్తూ వినయముతో నిలబడిరి (23). వృషభధ్వజుడగు శివుడు దేవతల ఈ మాటలను విని నవ్వి వెంటనే విష్ణువును పిలిపించి ఈ మాటను పలికెను (24).*
*ఈశ్వరుడిట్లు పలికెను - ఓ ఇంద్రియాధిపతీ! మహావిష్ణూ! జలంధరునిచే పీడింపబడి మిక్కిలి దుఃఖమును పొందిన దేవతలు ఇచటకు వచ్చి నన్ను శరణు పొందినారు (25). ఓ విష్ణూ! నీవు యుద్ధములో జలంధరుని సంహరించ పోవుటకు కారణమేమి? పైగా, నీవు వైకుంఠమును విడిచిపెట్టి వాని గృహమునకు చేరు కొంటివి (26). స్వతంత్రుడను, లీలావిహారిని అగు నేను నిన్ను సాధుపురుషుల రక్షణకొరకు, దుష్టుల శిక్షణ కొరకు నియోగించి యున్నాను గదా! 20. He is also subservient to him and stays in his mansion along with Lakṣmī. All of us gods stay there obeying his behests.
21. O Śiva, we have approached you unobserved by him. That powerful son of the ocean is coming hither to fight with you.
22. O omniscient lord, you shall kill Jalandhara in the battle without delay. Save us who have sought refuge in you.
Sanatkumāra said:—
23. After saying this, the gods including Indra bowed to him and stood humbly glancing at the feet of lord Śiva.
24. On hearing the words of the gods the bull-bannered deity laughed. He called Viṣṇu immediately and spoke these words.

26. O Viṣṇu, how is it that Jalandhara was not killed in battle by you? Leaving off your own Vaikuṇṭha you have gone to his mansion?
27. As I wanted to be free and sportful, I had appointed you for the protection of the good and the curbing of the wicked.

*🕉 Once you know what love is, you are ready to give; the more you give, the more you have it. The more you go on showering on others, the more love springs up in your being. 🕉*
*Love never bothers much about whether the other is worthy of receiving or not. This is a miserly attitude, and love is never a miser. The cloud never bothers about whether the earth is worthy. It rains on the mountains, it rains on the rocks; it rains everywhere and anywhere. It gives without any conditions, without any strings attached. And that's how love is: It simply gives, it enjoys giving. Whoever is willing to receive, receives it. He need not be worthy, he needs not fit any special category, he needs not fulfill any qualifications. If all these things are required, then what you are giving is not love; it must be something else.*
*Once you know what love is, you are ready to give; the more you give, the more you have. The more you go on showering on others, the more love springs up in your being. Ordinary economics is totally different: If you give something, you lose it. If you want to keep something, avoid giving it away. Collect it, be miserly. Just the opposite is the case with love: If you want to have it, don't be miserly; otherwise it will go dead, it will become stale. Go on giving, and fresh sources will become available. Fresh streams will flow into your being. The whole of existence starts pouring into you 'when your giving is unconditional, when it is total.*
