పతివ్రత యొక్క తండ్రి వంశములోని ముగ్గురు, తల్లివంశములోని వారు ముగ్గురు, భర్త వంశములోని వారు ముగ్గురు ఆమె పుణ్యముచే స్వర్గములో సౌఖ్యముల ననుభవించెదరు (59). శీలమును విడి చెడు దారులలో తిరిగే స్త్రీల యొక్క పితృమాతృభర్తృ వంశములవారు పతితులగుదురు. అట్టి స్త్రీలు ఇహపరలోకములలో దుఃఖమును పొందెదు (60).
పతివ్రత యొక్క పాదము ఏయే స్థానములలో భూమిని స్పృశించునో, ఆయా స్థానములు పాపములు తొలగిపావనమగును (61). సూర్య భగవానుడు, చంద్రుడు, వాయువు కూడ తమ పవిత్రత కొరకు పతివ్రతను స్పశించెదరనుటలో సందేహము లేదు (62).
జలములు సర్వదా పతివ్రతల స్పర్శను గోరును. అట్టి స్పర్శను పొంది 'ఈనాడు మన జడత్వము తొలగి ఇతరులను పవిత్రులను చేయు సామర్థ్యము లభించినది' అని జలములు భావించును (63). గృహస్థ ధర్మమునకు, గృహస్థుని సుఖమునకు, ధర్మము యొక్క ఫలమును పొందుటకు, సంతానాభివృద్ధికి భార్యయే మూలమై యున్నది (64).
రూప లావణ్యములచే గర్వించిన స్త్రీలు అన్ని గృహములలో లేరా? కాని విశ్వేశ్వరుని యందలి భక్తిచే మాత్రమే పతివ్రతయగు స్త్రీలభించును (65). మానవుడు భార్యా సహాయముతో ఇహపరలోకములను రెండింటినీ జయించును. భార్య లేనివాడు దేవయజ్ఞ పితృయజ్ఞ అతిథియజ్ఞాది కర్మలకు అర్హుడు కాడు (66).
ఎవని గృహములో పతివ్రత ఉండునో వాడే గృహస్థుడని తెలియవలెను. పతివ్రత కాని స్త్రీ పురుషుని రాక్షసి వలె, వార్ధక్యమువలె ప్రతిదినము భక్షించివేయును (67). గంగా స్నానముచే శరీరము పవిత్రమగును. అటులనే పతివ్రతను చూచినంత మాత్రాన సర్వము పవిత్రమగును (68). పతివ్రతయగు స్త్రీకి గంగకు తేడా లేదు. పతివ్రత, ఆమె సాక్షాత్తుగా ఉమాశివులతో సమమైనవారు గనుక, విద్వాంసుడు వారిని పూజించవలెను (69). భర్త ఓంకారము, భార్య వేదము. భర్త తపస్సు, భార్య క్షమ. భార్య పుణ్యకర్మ, భర్త తత్కర్మఫలము. ఓ పార్వతీ! అట్టి దంపతులు ధన్యులు (70).

*🌻 Description of the duties of the chaste wife - 6 🌻*
59. The three families—that of the father, that of the mother and that of the husband—enjoy the pleasures of heaven due to the merit of the chaste woman.
60. Disloyal women cause the downfall of the three families, that of the father, mother and husband and become distressed here and hereafter.
61. Wherever the chaste lady sets her foot, the sin is dispelled therefrom and the place is sanctified.
62. Even the sun, moon and wind touch the chaste woman to sanctify themselves and not otherwise.
63. Waters desire the touch of the chaste lady thinking—“Now our sluggishness is gone. Now we are able to purify others”.
64. Wife is the root of the household, and of its happiness; she is the source of the fruit of virtue and for the flourishing of the family.
65. In every house there are women proud of their exquisite beauty and comely appearance. But it is only due to the devotion of Śiva that a chaste lady is obtained.
66. The present and the next world can be won through her. A wifeless man is not authorized to perform the rites of gods, Pitṛs guests and sacrifices.
67. He alone is the true householder in whose house there is a chaste lady. The others are devoured by an ogress or old age.
68. Just as the body is purified by a plunge in the Gaṅgā, so everything is sanctified on seeing a chaste woman.
69. A chaste lady is not different from Gaṅgā. She and her husband are like Pārvatī and Śiva. Hence a sensible man shall worship them.
70. The husband is the high tone and the wife is the quarter tone. The husband is austerity and the woman is forbearance. The husband is the fruit and the wife is a sacred rite. O Pārvatī, such a pair is blessed.

స్వర్భానువునకు సుప్రభ అను కన్యయు, పులోమునకు శచియు జనించిరి. ఉపదనువు కుమార్తె హయశిరస్సు- వృషపర్వుని కుమార్తె శర్మిష్ఠ, పులోమ కాలక అను ఇరువురును వైశ్వానరుని కుమార్తెలు. వారిద్దరును కశ్యపుని భార్యలు వారికి కోట్లకొలది పుత్రులు జనించిరి.
ప్రహ్రాదుని కులమునందు నాలుగు కోట్ల నివాతకవచులు పుట్టిరి. కశ్యపుని భార్యయైన తామ్రకు ఆరుగురు కుమారులును కాకి, శ్యేని, బాసి, గృధ్రిక, శుచిగ్రీవ అను భార్యలకు కాకులు మొదలగునవి జనించినవి. తామ్రవలననే అశ్వములను. ఒంటెలను జనించినవి.
వినత వలన అరుణుడును, ఆగరుడుడును పుట్టిరి. సురసనుండి వేయిసర్పములు పుట్టినవి. శేషుడు, వాసుకి, తక్షకుడు మొదలైన వేయిమంది కద్రువకు పుత్రులు. వీరందరును కోరలుకలిగినవారు. చాల కోపము కలవారు. భూమిపై నివసించువారు. జలములో వీరు రెక్కలు కలిగియుందరు. సురభి (కామధేనువునందు) గోవులు, మహిష్యాదులును పుట్టెను. ఇరనుండి తృణాదులు పుట్టెను.
ఆ కశ్యపముని వలననే ఖసయను అప్సరస యందు యక్షులు, రాక్షసులను, అరిష్టయందు గంధర్వులును జనించిరి. ఈ విధముగ కశ్యపుని నుండి చరాచర జగత్తు జనించినది. వీరి పుత్రాదులు అసంఖ్యాకులు ఒకప్పుడు దేవతలు దానవులను జయించిరి.
ఈ విధముగ పుత్రులు నశించగా దితా ఇంద్రుని సంహరింపగల కుమారుడు కావలెనని కోరుచు కశ్యపుని అను గ్రహింపచేసికొని అట్టి వానిని పొందెను.
ఆమె పాదప్రక్షాళనము చేసికొనకుండగనే నిద్రించెను. ఇంద్రుడు ఆ అవకాశమును చూచుకొని ఆమె గర్భమును ఛేదించెను. వారు (గర్భఖండములు) గొప్ప తేజస్సు గలవారును, ఇంద్రునికి సాహాయ్యము చేయువారును అగు నలుబది తొమ్మండుగురు మరుత్తులను దేవతలుగా అయిరి (నవి)

*🌻 The progeny of Kaśyapa - 2 🌻*
11. The sons of Hiraṇyākṣa were five.[2] Śambara, Śakuni[3], Dvimūrddhan [=Dvimūrdhan?], Śaṅkurārya[4] were (the prominent among) the hundred sons of Danu.
12. Suprabhā was the daughter of Svarbhānu (a son of Danu). Śacī was known as the daughter of Puloman (a son of Danu). Upadānavī, Hayaśirā, and Śarmiṣṭhā (were) the daughters of Vṛṣaparvan (a son of Danu).
13. Pulomā and Kālakā were the two daughters of Vaiśvānara. They both married Kaśyapa and they had crores of sons.
14-16. In the family of Prahrāda (were born) four crores (of sons) (known as) the nivātakavaca (protected by armour). Tāmrā had six daughters—Kākī, Śyenī, Bhāsī, Gṛdhrikā, Śuci and Sugrīvā. The crows and (other birds) were born from them. The horses and camels (were born in the line) of Tāmrā. Aruṇa and Garuḍa (were born) from Vinatā. Thousands of serpents (were) born of Surasā. Thousands of serpents (such as) Śeṣa, Vāsuki, Takṣaka and others were born of Kadrū.
17. Animals having tusks, other earthly beings and the aquatic birds were born to Krodhā. The cows, buffaloes and other animals (were born) from Surabhi. The grass and other things were the production of Irā.
18. The Yakṣas (semi-divine beings) and the demons (were born) of Khasā. The nymphs came into being from Muni. The Gandharvas (a class of semi-divine beings) (were born) to Ariṣṭā. Thus the stationary as well as the movable are born of Kaśyapa.
19-21. Innumerable are the offspring of these. The Dānavas (the progeny of Danu) (the demons) were conquered by the celestials. Diti, who had lost her offspring, propitiated Kaśyapa, desirous of (getting) a son capable of destroying Indra. (She) achieved (her object) from Kaśyapa. Indra, seeking to find a fault (found out that she) had slept without washing her feet[5] and destroyed (cut off) the embryo. They became celestials (known as) Maruts, fifty one (in number) radiant with lustre and the allies of Śakra (Indra).[6]

*ఆధునిక కాలమున ప్రాణముండి ప్రజ్ఞ కోల్పోవు వారిని ఆసుపత్రులలో చూడవచ్చును. నెలల తరబడి సంవత్సరముల తరబడి ప్రజ్ఞ కోల్పోయినవారు ప్రాణముతో నుండుట, అటుపైన మరల ప్రజ్ఞ తిరిగి వచ్చి దేహమున మేల్కొనుట కూడ చూచు చున్నాము. ఇటీవలి కాలమున ఈ అంశమునకు నిజమైన ఉదాహరణగ నిలచిన వారు విజయనగరపు రాజగు శ్రీ పి.వి.జి. రాజుగారు. యోగులు ప్రాణమునకు శరీరము నప్పగించి ప్రజ్ఞతో విహారము చేయుదురు. యజ్ఞార్థమై లోకహితము చేయు యోగులు దివ్య ప్రాణమును, దివ్య దేహమును ధరించి నిద్రా సమయమున కర్తవ్యమును నిర్వర్తించి మరల తిరిగి వత్తురు.*
*ప్రాణము దేహము నందున్నప్పుడు ప్రజ్ఞ తిరిగి వచ్చుట కవకాశమున్నది. ప్రాణము దేహమును విడిచినచో ప్రజ్ఞ దేహమున వుండలేదు. సావిత్రీ ఉపాఖ్యానమున కూడ దీనిని దర్శింప వచ్చును. శ్రీమాత శివుని ప్రాణనాడి యెట్లో అట్లే సావిత్రీదేవి సత్యవంతునికి ప్రాణనాడియై నిలచినది. అది ఆమె ఆరాధనా బలము. కనుకనే సత్యవంతుని మరల కొనివచ్చినది. పతివ్రతా స్త్రీల యందు ఇట్టి శక్తి శ్రీమాతయే. వారి ఆరాధనము కారణముగ వారి భర్తలు క్షేమముగ నుందురు. మాంగల్యము గట్టిదైనచో ఆమె బ్రతికి యుండగ భర్త మరణింపడు. భార్య మాంగల్యము బలమై యుండవలె ననినచో శ్రీమాతను భక్తి శ్రద్ధలతో ఆరాధించుట సంప్రదాయము.*
