*తాత్పర్యము : ప్రాణులు వేర్వేరు రూపములు కలిగి యున్నను అన్నింటిలో భగవంతుడు అంతరాత్మగా విలసిల్లుచున్నాడు. కావున, సాదకుడు సకల ప్రాణులను అభేద భావముతో అనగా సమదృష్టితో చూడవలెను. తనకంటె అధికులను గౌరవింప వలెను. దీనులను దానాదులతో ఆదరింపవలెను. సమానుల యెడ మైత్రిని నెరపవలెను. అట్లు చేయుట భగవంతుని పూజించుటయే యగును.*

*arhayed dāna-mānābhyāṁ maitryābhinnena cakṣuṣā*
*MEANING : Therefore, through charitable gifts and attention, as well as through friendly behavior and by viewing all to be alike, one should propitiate Me, who abide in all creatures as their very Self.*
*PURPORT : It should not be misunderstood that because the Supersoul is dwelling within the heart of a living entity, the individual soul has become equal to Him. The equality of the Supersoul and the individual soul is misconceived by the impersonalist. Here it is distinctly mentioned that the individual soul should be recognized in relationship with the Supreme Personality of Godhead. *Treating a living entity equally does not mean treating him as one would treat the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Compassion and friendliness do not necessitate falsely elevating someone to the exalted position of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. We should not, at the same time, misunderstand that the Supersoul situated in the heart of an animal like a hog and the Supersoul situated in the heart of a learned brāhmaṇa are different. The Supersoul in all living entities is the same Supreme Personality of Godhead. By His omnipotency, He can live anywhere, and He can create His Vaikuṇṭha situation everywhere. That is His inconceivable potency. Therefore, when Nārāyaṇa is living in the heart of a hog, He does not become a hog-Nārāyaṇa. He is always Nārāyaṇa and is unaffected by the body of the hog.*

*లేదా పరశురామావతారమున భూమిని కశ్యపునకు ఇచ్చినవాడు. భృగు వంశజుడగు పరశురాముడు క్షత్రియులందరను పలు పర్యాయములు చంపినందున కలిగిన పాపమునుండి విశుద్ధి నందుటకై అశ్వమేధముతో యజించెను. మహాదక్షిణాయుక్తమగు ఆ మహాయజ్ఞమునందు ఆతడు ప్రీతియుక్తుడగుచు భూమిని మరీచి ప్రజాపతి పుత్రుడైన కశ్యపునకు దక్షిణగా ఇచ్చెను అను హరి వంశ వచనము ఇట ప్రమాణము.*
*లేదా 'భూమి' అను అర్థమును ఇచ్చు 'కు' అను పదమునకు లక్షణావృత్తిచే భూమిపతులు అను అర్థమును చెప్పికొన వలయును. అట్టి భూమి పతులను పరశురామావతారమున ఖండిచెను కనుక కుందః. ఈ విషయమున విష్ణు ధర్మోత్తరమునందు 'ఏ భార్గవోత్తముడు అనేక పర్యాయములు భూమిని క్షత్రియ రహితనుగా చేసెనో, ఎవడు కార్తవీర్యార్జునుని వేయి భుజములు అను అరణ్యమును ఛేదించెనో అట్టి హరి నాకు శుభవృద్ధిని కలిగించువాడుగా అగును గాక' అని చెప్పబడినది.*

कुन्दाभ सुन्दराङ्गत्वात् स्वच्छस्फटिक निर्मलः ।
कुन्द इत्युच्यते विष्णुः सद्य पापविमोचन ॥
कुं पृथ्वीं कश्यपायादादिति वा कुन्द उच्यते ।
कुं पृथ्वीं द्यति खण्डयतीति वा कुन्द उच्यते ॥
अथवाऽत्र कुशब्देन लक्ष्यन्ते पृथिवीश्वराः ।
तान् भार्गवो व्यच्छिदित्यच्युतः कुन्द उच्यते ॥
Kundābha sundarāṅgatvāt svacchasphaṭika nirmalaḥ,
Kunda ityucyate viṣṇuḥ sadya pāpavimocana.
Kuṃ prthvīṃ kaśyapāyādāditi vā kunda ucyate,
Kuṃ prthvīṃ dyati khaṇḍayatīti vā kunda ucyate.
Athavā’tra kuśabdena lakṣyante prthivīśvarāḥ,
Tān bhārgavo vyacchidityacyutaḥ kunda ucyate.
*He who has handsome limbs like a kunda flower (jessamine). Being spotlessly white as a crystal, He is Kundaḥ.*
*He gave ku i.e., earth to Kāśyapa. The Harivaṃśa says - 'Bhrgu's son Paraśurāma performed Aśvamedha sacrifice to absolve himself of the sin of killing the Kṣatriya kings many times. In that sacrifice, he gladly made a great gift of earth to Kāśyapa.'*
*He who brings the earth under subjection. Or As the Viṣṇu dharmottara purāṇahas it: 'May that chief of the Bhārgava's who rid the earth of kṣatriyas and also cut off the forest of hands of Kārtavīrya increase my prosperity.'*

*సనత్కుమారుడిట్లు పలికెను- ఆ మహారాక్షసుని ఈ మాటను విని దేవదేవుడు, పాపహారియగు విష్ణుభగవానుడు భేదముతో నిండిన మనస్సు గలవాడై 'అటులనే యగుగాక!' అని పలికెను (42). తరువాత విష్ణువు దేవగణములందరితో, మరియు లక్ష్మీదేవితో గూడి జలంధరమను నగరమునకు వచ్చి నివసించెను (43). అపుడు ఆ జలంధరాసురుడు తన సోదరియగు లక్ష్మితో మరియు విష్ణువుతో గూడి తన ఇంటికి చేరి ఆనందముతో నిండిన మనస్సు గలవాడై నివసించెను (44). అపుడు జలంధరుడు దేవతల అధికారపదవులలో రాక్షసులను నియమించి ఆనందముతో భూమండలమునకు మరలి వచ్చెను (45). సముద్రతనయుడగు జలంధరుడగు దేవగంధర్వ సిద్ధుల వద్ద గల శ్రేష్ఠవస్తువుల నన్నిటినీ స్వాధీనమొనర్చు కొనెను (46). బలవంతుడగు జలంధరుడు పాతాళభవనమునందు మిక్కిలి బలశాలియగు నిశుంభుని స్థాపించి, శేషుడు మొదలగు వారిని భూమండలమునకు తీసుకువచ్చెను (47).*
*ఆతడు దేవ గంధర్వ సిద్ధ సమూహములను, నాగరాక్షసమనుష్యులను తన నగరములో పౌరులుగా చేసుకొని ముల్లోకములను శాసించెను (48). జలంధరుడు ఈ తీరున దేవతలను తన వశము చేసుకొని, ప్రజలను స్వంతబిడ్డలను వలె రక్షించి, ధర్మబద్ధముగా రాజ్యము నేలెను (49). ఆతడు ధర్మముతో రాజ్యము నేలుచుండగా, రాజ్యములో వ్యాధిగ్రస్తులుగాని, దుఃఖితులు గాని, క్రుంగి కృశించినవారు గాని, దీనులు గాని ఒక్కడైననూ కానరాలేదు (50).*

Sanatkumāra said:—
42. On hearing these words of the great Asura, lord Viṣṇu, the lord of gods, said distressingly—“So be it.”
43. Then Viṣṇu came to the city called Jalandhara[1] along with his followers, the gods and Lakṣmī.
44. Then the Asura Jalandhara returned to his abode and stayed very delightedly in the company of his sister and Viṣṇu.
45. Thereafter Jalandhara appointed Asuras in the authoritative posts of the gods. Joyously he returned to the Earth.
46. The son of the ocean confiscated whatever gem or jewel the gods, Gandharvas or Siddhas had hoarded.
47. After appointing the powerful Asura, Niśumbha, in the nether-worlds, the powerful ruler of the Asuras brought Śeṣa and others to the Earth.
48. Making gods, Gandharvas, Siddhas, Serpents, Rākṣasas and human beings, the denizens of his capital, he ruled over the three worlds.
49. After making the gods thus subservient to himself, Jalandhara protected them all virtuously, like his own sons.
50. When he was ruling the kingdom virtuously, none in his realm was sick or miserable or lean and emaciated or indigent.
