శ్రీమాత విద్యా స్వరూపిణీయే గాక, అవిద్యా స్వరూపిణి యని కూడ అర్థము. విద్యను, అవిద్యను రెండింటిని ఎఱుంగువాడు మృత్యువును దాటి అమృతత్త్వము ననుభవించు చుండును. సృష్టి యందలి ద్రవ్య మంతయూ నశించు చుండును. ఇంద్రియ ప్రవృత్తులునూ అట్లే తాత్కాలికములు. గుణములు కూడ ప్రాకృత సంబంధములే. గుణములు, ఇంద్రియములు, రూపములు మూడును ప్రకృతి సంబంధితములు. అనుభూతికి ఈ మొత్తము వేదిక.

జీవుడు పరమాత్మ నుండి వ్యక్తమైన అంశ. ప్రకృతి కూడ పరమాత్మ నుండి వ్యక్తమైనదే. మూలప్రకృతి అష్టప్రకృతిగ మారి జీవుని అనుభూతికి వేదిక యగు చున్నది. వేదిక శాశ్వతము కాదు. అది అవిద్యా స్వరూపము. జీవుడు శాశ్వతుడు. మూలప్రకృతి, దాని కాధారమైన పరతత్వము శాశ్వతము. మూల ప్రకృతి, పరతత్వములతో అనుసంధానము చెందు ఆత్మ విద్యా స్వరూపమై యుండును.

All the riches and sensualities in this Creation shall perish. Gunas are also natural(prakritic) tendencies. Gunas, senses and forms are related to nature. This whole platform for experience.

The Self is a manifestation of the Supreme Being and so is nature. The primordial nature expressed itself in eight forms and formed a basis for experience. The basis is not permanent. It is a form of ignorance. The self is eternal. Primordial nature, and its associated philosophy is eternal. The soul, which connects the primordial aspects of nature, with its philosophies is the personification of wisdom.

🕉. Whenever people are taught great ideals, they start feeling dirty and guilty. Because those ideals are foolish and impossible; nobody can fulfill them. 🕉

With ideals, no matter what you do, you always fall short, you are always a failure, because the ideal is impossible. It is inhuman. They call it "superhuman"- it is inhuman! But it becomes a self-torture, and then whatever you do is wrong. That's what can create trouble for you. So drop ideals and just be. Become a realist. Once you become a realist, everything seems to be just beautiful and perfect.

When you don't have any ideal of perfection, everything is perfect because there is nothing with which to compare and condemn it. I don't see anything to condemn. But for centuries the mind has been conditioned to condemn. That's a great strategy in the hands of the politician and the priests-they create guilt inside you, and then they can manipulate you. To manipulate a human being is the worst crime one can commit.

వీరుడు, గొప్ప తేజశ్శాలి యగు వీరభద్రుడు కూడా భయంకరమైన వాడియైన త్రిశూలముతో వెంటనే తారకుని కొట్టెను (13) . రాక్షసశ్రేష్టుడు, బలశాలి, వీరులకు ఆదరణీయుడు అగు ఆ తారకుడు కూడ తరువాత యుద్దములో వీరభద్రుని శక్తితో కొట్టెను (14). యుద్ధ విద్యలో నేర్పరులగు వారిద్దరు ఈవిధముగా యుద్ధరంగములో అనేక విధములగు శస్త్రాస్త్రములతో యుద్ధమును చేయుచూ పరస్పరము హింసించుకొనిరి (15).

అపుడచట అందరు చూచుచుండగా ఆ ఇద్దరు మహావీరుల మధ్య శరీరము గగుర్పొడిచే భయంకరమగు యుద్ధము జరిగెను (16). అపుడు భేరీలు, మృదంగములు, పటహములు, ఆనకములు, గోముఖములు అను వాద్యములను వీరులు మ్రోగించిరి. ఆ శబ్దము వినువారలకు మిక్కిలి బీతిని గొల్పెను (17). దెబ్బలతో శిథిలమైన దేహములు గల వారిద్దరు యుద్దమునకు మరల సన్నద్ధులై బుధాంగారకుల వలె మహవేగముతో ద్వంద్వయుద్ధమును చేసిరి (18). వీరభద్రునకు వానితో జరుగు చున్న ఈ యుద్ధమును చూచి, శివునకు ప్రియుడవగు నీవు అచటకు వెళ్లి వీరభద్రునితో ఇట్లు పలికితివి (19).

నారదుడిట్లు పలికెను -

వీరభద్రా! మహావీరా! నీవు గణములలో అగ్రేసరుడవు. ఈ యుద్ధమునుండి వెనుకకు మరలుము. నీవు వధించగలవని తోచుట లేదు (20). నీ ఈ మాటను విని గణాధ్యక్షుడు, కోపముతో ఆవేశమును పొంది యున్నవాడు అగు వీరభద్రుడు అపుడు చేతులను జోడించి నీతో ఇట్లు పలికెను (21).

13. In the same manner, the heroic Vīrabhadra of great brilliance hit Tāraka with his sharp terrible trident.

14. The powerful king of the Asuras, the heroic Tāraka, hit Vīrabhadra[1] again with spear.

15. Fighting each other thus they hit each other with various weapons and missiles both being equally skilful in the art of warfare.

16. Even as others stood gazing, the two of great energy continued their duel causing hair to stand on ends, with tumultuous noise.

17. Then various military bands and drums like Bherīs, Mṛdaṅgas, Paṭahas, Āṇakas and Gomukhas were sounded by the soldiers terrifying those who happened to hear.

18. Both of them were severely wounded by the mutual hits and thrusts but still they continued their fight with added vigour like Mercury and Mars.

19. On seeing the fight between him and Vīrabhadra, you, the favourite of Śiva went there and said to Vīrabhadra,

Nārada said:—

20. “O Vīrabhadra, of great heroism, you are the leader of the Gaṇas. Please desist from this fight. Your killing him does not fit in properly”.

21. On hearing your words, the leader of the Gaṇas Vīrabhadra became furious but spoke to you with palms joined in reverence.

(47) అన్ని యజ్ఞములకును అధిపతి యైన (1) అశ్వమేధము అను సహస్రేశయజ్ఞములు, సర్వభూతదయ, క్షమ, ఋజుత్వము, శౌచము, అనాయాసము, మంగళము, అకార్పణ్యము, అస్పృహ అను ఎనిమిది గుణములు. ఈ సంస్కారములను చేయవలెను.

ఇష్టదేవతామూలమంత్రమున నూరు ఆహుతు లివ్వవలెను. సౌర-శాక్త-వైష్ణవ-శైవ దీక్షలలో అన్నింటియందును ఇవి సమానమే. ఈ సంస్కారములచే సంస్కృతు డగు పురుషుడు భోగములను, మోక్షమును కూడ పొందును. సమస్తరోగములచే విముక్తుడై దేవతాపురుషుడు వలె నుండును. మునుష్యునకు ఇష్టదేవతామంత్ర జప-హోమ-పూజా-ధ్యానములచే ఆభీష్టప్రాప్తి కలుగును.

Chapter 32

🌻 Narration about the purificatory rites 🌻

Agni said:

I. An intelligent man has to do forty-eight purificatory rites[1] among the initiatory rites for attaining liberation. You hear them, by which one may become a celestial.

2. One has to perform garbhādhāna as soon as the conception takes place, then the puṃsavana[2] rite, the simantonnayana[3], the jātakarma[4], and the naming ceremony.

3. (One has to perform the rites of) giving food (to the new born child), then the tonsure, and the brahmacarya (the life of celibacy practised by a boy while studying the Vedas). (One has to perform) the four (rites)—the vaiṣṇavī, pārthī, bhautikī and śrautī[5], and making a gift of cows, entering the life of a householder after completing one’s vedic studies.

4-7. The seven kinds of Pākayajñas[6] are aṣṭakā, pārvaṇaśrāddha, śrāvaṇī, āgrayaṇī, caitrī and āśvayujī. The Haviryajñas[7] are seven. (You) hear them. (They) are (agni) ādhāna, agnihotra, darśapūrṇamāsa, cāturmāsya, paśubandha, and sautrāmaṇi. (You) hear the seven kinds of Somasaṃsthās[8] agniṣṭoma the excellent sacrifice atyagniṣṭoma, uktha, ṣoḍaśī, vājapeya, atirātra and aptoryāma. These are of thousand kinds.

8-9. They are hiraṇyāṅghri, hiraṇyākṣa, hiraṇyamitra, hiraṇyapāṇi, hemākṣa, hemāṅga, hemasūtraka, hiraṇyāsya, hiraṇyāṅga, hemajihva, and hiraṇyavat. The aśvamedha is the excellent among them. Now you hear the eight virtues.

10-11. They are—compassion towards all beings, forbearance, sincerity, purity, ease, wishing the welfare of all, liberality and freedom from avarice. A hundred oblations are to be offered with the basic mystic syllable. The same procedure is to be followed in the initiation (ceremony) related to Saura, Śakti (the female deity) and Viṣṇu.

12. Being purified by these purificatory rites, one may get enjoyment, release (from bondage). Such a man becoming free from diseases remains like a god. By the recitation (of the names of god), by offering oblations and by worship and meditation on the deity one gets his cherished desire.

16. ప్రభావం పౌరుషం ప్రాహుః కాలమేకే యతో భయమ్
అహఙ్కారవిమూఢస్య కర్తుః ప్రకృతిమీయుషః

కొందరు కాలమును ప్రత్యేకతత్త్వముగా భావింపక, అది పరమపురుషుని ప్రభావమనియు, లేక ఈశ్వరుని సంహారకారణీ శక్తి అనియు నుడువుదురు. దాని వలన మాయాకార్యరూపములైన దేహాదులయందు ఆత్మాభిమానము కలిగి, జీవుడు అహంకారముచే మోహితుడై, తనను కర్తగా భావించుకొని, నిరంతరము భయగ్రస్తుడగును.

కాలమంటే పరమాత్మ యొక్క ప్రభావం (ప్రభావం పౌరుషం - పురుషుని యొక్క ప్రభావం). ప్రకృతికి గానీ జీవునికి గానీ భయము కలిగేది కాలము వలనే. తాను స్వయముగా కల్పించుకున్న ప్రకృతి సంబంధముతో అనుభూతి కోసం ఆచరించే కర్మలే పాప పుణ్యాలు. వీటి సమూహాన్ని బట్టే ఫలం నిర్ణయించబడుతుంది. ప్రతీదానికి నియమిత కాలం ఉంటుంది. అహంకారముతో మూఢుడై కర్తృత్వాన్ని ఆపాదించుకున్న జీవునికి భయము ఈ కాలము వలన. ప్రకృతి భావాన్ని పురుషుడు పొందుతున్నాడు. ప్రకృతిని నేనే అనుకుంటున్నాడు, అహంకార విమూఢుడై. అందువలనే కర్త అయ్యాడు. కర్తృత్వాన్ని తెచ్చిపెట్టుకుంటున్నాడు. అలా కర్తృత్వాన్ని తెచ్చిపెట్టుకునే జీవుడిని భయపెట్టేది ఈ కాలము.

అహఙ్కారవిమూఢస్య కర్తుః ప్రకృతిమీయుషః

*కొందరు కాలమును ప్రత్యేకతత్త్వముగా భావింపక, అది పరమపురుషుని ప్రభావమనియు, లేక ఈశ్వరుని సంహారకారణీ శక్తి అనియు నుడువుదురు. దాని వలన  మాయాకార్యరూపములైన దేహాదులయందు ఆత్మాభిమానము కలిగి, జీవుడు అహంకారముచే మోహితుడై, తనను కర్తగా భావించుకొని, నిరంతరము భయగ్రస్తుడగును.*

ఇష్టదేవతామూలమంత్రమున నూరు ఆహుతు లివ్వవలెను. సౌర-శాక్త-వైష్ణవ-శైవ దీక్షలలో అన్నింటియందును ఇవి సమానమే. ఈ సంస్కారములచే సంస్కృతు డగు పురుషుడు భోగములను, మోక్షమును కూడ పొందును. సమస్తరోగములచే విముక్తుడై దేవతాపురుషుడు వలె నుండును. మునుష్యునకు ఇష్టదేవతామంత్ర జప-హోమ-పూజా-ధ్యానములచే ఆభీష్టప్రాప్తి కలుగును.

*Chapter 32*
*🌻 Narration about the purificatory rites 🌻*

Agni said:
I. An intelligent man has to do forty-eight purificatory rites[1] among the initiatory rites for attaining liberation. You hear them, by which one may become a celestial.

2. One has to perform garbhādhāna as soon as the conception takes place, then the puṃsavana[2] rite, the simantonnayana[3], the jātakarma[4], and the naming ceremony.

3. (One has to perform the rites of) giving food (to the new born child), then the tonsure, and the brahmacarya (the life of celibacy practised by a boy while studying the Vedas). (One has to perform) the four (rites)—the vaiṣṇavī, pārthī, bhautikī and śrautī[5], and making a gift of cows, entering the life of a householder after completing one’s vedic studies.

4-7. The seven kinds of Pākayajñas[6] are aṣṭakā, pārvaṇaśrāddha, śrāvaṇī, āgrayaṇī, caitrī and āśvayujī. The Haviryajñas[7] are seven. (You) hear them. (They) are (agni) ādhāna, agnihotra, darśapūrṇamāsa, cāturmāsya, paśubandha, and sautrāmaṇi. (You) hear the seven kinds of Somasaṃsthās[8] agniṣṭoma the excellent sacrifice atyagniṣṭoma, uktha, ṣoḍaśī, vājapeya, atirātra and aptoryāma. These are of thousand kinds.

8-9. They are hiraṇyāṅghri, hiraṇyākṣa, hiraṇyamitra, hiraṇyapāṇi, hemākṣa, hemāṅga, hemasūtraka, hiraṇyāsya, hiraṇyāṅga, hemajihva, and hiraṇyavat. The aśvamedha is the excellent among them. Now you hear the eight virtues.

10-11. They are—compassion towards all beings, forbearance, sincerity, purity, ease, wishing the welfare of all, liberality and freedom from avarice. A hundred oblations are to be offered with the basic mystic syllable. The same procedure is to be followed in the initiation (ceremony) related to Saura, Śakti (the female deity) and Viṣṇu.

12. Being purified by these purificatory rites, one may get enjoyment, release (from bondage). Such a man becoming free from diseases remains like a god. By the recitation (of the names of god), by offering oblations and by worship and meditation on the deity one gets his cherished desire.

వీరుడు, గొప్ప తేజశ్శాలి యగు వీరభద్రుడు కూడా భయంకరమైన వాడియైన త్రిశూలముతో వెంటనే తారకుని కొట్టెను (13) . రాక్షసశ్రేష్టుడు, బలశాలి, వీరులకు ఆదరణీయుడు అగు ఆ తారకుడు కూడ తరువాత యుద్దములో వీరభద్రుని శక్తితో కొట్టెను (14). యుద్ధ విద్యలో నేర్పరులగు వారిద్దరు ఈవిధముగా యుద్ధరంగములో అనేక విధములగు శస్త్రాస్త్రములతో యుద్ధమును చేయుచూ పరస్పరము హింసించుకొనిరి (15).

అపుడచట అందరు చూచుచుండగా ఆ ఇద్దరు మహావీరుల మధ్య శరీరము గగుర్పొడిచే భయంకరమగు యుద్ధము జరిగెను (16). అపుడు భేరీలు, మృదంగములు, పటహములు, ఆనకములు, గోముఖములు అను వాద్యములను వీరులు మ్రోగించిరి. ఆ శబ్దము వినువారలకు మిక్కిలి బీతిని గొల్పెను (17). దెబ్బలతో శిథిలమైన దేహములు గల వారిద్దరు యుద్దమునకు మరల సన్నద్ధులై బుధాంగారకుల వలె మహవేగముతో ద్వంద్వయుద్ధమును చేసిరి (18). వీరభద్రునకు వానితో జరుగు చున్న ఈ యుద్ధమును చూచి, శివునకు ప్రియుడవగు నీవు అచటకు వెళ్లి వీరభద్రునితో ఇట్లు పలికితివి (19).

నారదుడిట్లు పలికెను -

వీరభద్రా! మహావీరా! నీవు గణములలో అగ్రేసరుడవు. ఈ యుద్ధమునుండి వెనుకకు మరలుము. నీవు వధించగలవని తోచుట లేదు (20). నీ ఈ మాటను విని గణాధ్యక్షుడు, కోపముతో ఆవేశమును పొంది యున్నవాడు అగు వీరభద్రుడు అపుడు చేతులను జోడించి నీతో ఇట్లు పలికెను (21).

14. The powerful king of the Asuras, the heroic Tāraka, hit Vīrabhadra[1] again with spear.

15. Fighting each other thus they hit each other with various weapons and missiles both being equally skilful in the art of warfare.

16. Even as others stood gazing, the two of great energy continued their duel causing hair to stand on ends, with tumultuous noise.

17. Then various military bands and drums like Bherīs, Mṛdaṅgas, Paṭahas, Āṇakas and Gomukhas were sounded by the soldiers terrifying those who happened to hear.

18. Both of them were severely wounded by the mutual hits and thrusts but still they continued their fight with added vigour like Mercury and Mars.

19. On seeing the fight between him and Vīrabhadra, you, the favourite of Śiva went there and said to Vīrabhadra,
Nārada said:—

20. “O Vīrabhadra, of great heroism, you are the leader of the Gaṇas. Please desist from this fight. Your killing him does not fit in properly”.

21. On hearing your words, the leader of the Gaṇas Vīrabhadra became furious but spoke to you with palms joined in reverence.

*జీవుడు పరమాత్మ నుండి వ్యక్తమైన అంశ. ప్రకృతి కూడ పరమాత్మ నుండి వ్యక్తమైనదే. మూలప్రకృతి అష్టప్రకృతిగ మారి జీవుని అనుభూతికి వేదిక యగు చున్నది. వేదిక శాశ్వతము కాదు. అది అవిద్యా స్వరూపము. జీవుడు శాశ్వతుడు. మూలప్రకృతి, దాని కాధారమైన పరతత్వము శాశ్వతము. మూల ప్రకృతి, పరతత్వములతో అనుసంధానము చెందు ఆత్మ విద్యా స్వరూపమై యుండును.*

All the riches and sensualities in this Creation shall perish. Gunas are also natural(prakritic) tendencies. Gunas, senses and forms are related to nature. This whole platform for experience.*

*The Self is a manifestation of the Supreme Being and so is nature. The primordial nature expressed itself in eight forms and formed a basis for experience. The basis is not permanent. It is a form of ignorance. The self is eternal. Primordial nature, and its associated philosophy is eternal. The soul, which connects the  primordial aspects of nature, with its philosophies is the personification of wisdom.*
