భగవంతునిపై అపారమైన విశ్వాసం మనిషికి ఉన్నా, కాలగమనంలో మాయ యొక్క ప్రభావం ఆ విశ్వాసాన్ని కొంతమేర కదిలించగలదు. మహాభారతం లో కూడా, ధర్మరాజు మరియు అర్జునుడు వంటి శ్రీకృష్ణుని పరమభక్తులు, ఆయన ఉపదేశాలను ఆచరించడంలో కొన్ని సందర్భాల్లో సంకోచం చూపించారు. అప్పుడు భీష్ముడు మరియు ద్రౌపది వంటి మహనీయుల ద్వారా వారికి తమ కర్తవ్యాన్ని గుర్తు చేయబడింది.
ఇదే సత్యం రామాయణం లో కూడా ప్రతిఫలిస్తుంది. శ్రీరాముడు స్వయంగా పరమధర్మస్వరూపుడు అయినప్పటికీ, ఆయన శివుడు పై అత్యంత భక్తిని ప్రదర్శించాడు. రామేశ్వరం వద్ద శివలింగాన్ని ప్రతిష్ఠించి, లంక యుద్ధానికి ముందు శివుని ఆరాధించాడు. అలాగే సీతా దేవి కూడా శివపార్వతులను ప్రార్థిస్తూ తన మనస్సును స్థిరపరచుకుంది. ఇది ఒక గొప్ప తత్త్వాన్ని తెలియజేస్తుంది — దైవం ఒకటే, రూపాలు మాత్రమే భిన్నం. ఒక దైవాన్ని ఆరాధించే వాడు, మరొక దైవాన్ని గౌరవించకూడదనే భావన భక్తి కాదు.
ఈ ఉదాహరణలు మనకు ఒక గొప్ప సత్యాన్ని తెలియజేస్తాయి — విశ్వాసం కలిగి ఉండటం మాత్రమే కాదు, దానిని నిలబెట్టుకోవడం మరింత ముఖ్యము. ఎలాంటి పరిస్థితుల్లోనూ భగవంతుని ఆజ్ఞలకు విరుద్ధంగా ప్రవర్తించకూడదు. ఒకరు ఎంత పూజలు చేసినా, ఎంత లోతుగా ధ్యానం చేసినా, దైవ ఆజ్ఞలను అతిక్రమిస్తే ఆ భక్తి పద్ధతులు ఫలించవు.
దైవానికి స్వార్థపూరిత లక్ష్యం ఉండదు. కానీ మనుషులు తమ స్వల్ప స్వార్థాల కారణంగా దైవ మార్గాన్ని వదిలిపెడతారు. ఈ చిన్న తప్పులు కాలక్రమంలో పెద్ద పరిణామాలకు దారితీస్తాయి. అందుకే భక్తి అంటే కేవలం ఆచారాలు కాదు — అది ఆచరణలో కనిపించాలి.
ఆకాశంలో మేఘాలు గాలిచే కలిసినా, చెదరిపోయినా, అది సహజ ప్రక్రియ. అలాగే కాలగమనం మన జీవితంలో సుఖం, దుఃఖం, కలయిక, వియోగం తీసుకువస్తుంది. కాలమే భగవంతుని స్వరూపం. కాబట్టి కాలాన్ని గౌరవించి, వృథా చేయకుండా సార్థకంగా వినియోగించాలి.

A person may have deep faith in God, yet over time, the influence of Maya can weaken it. Even in the Mahabharata, great devotees of Krishna such as Yudhishthira and Arjuna showed hesitation in following His guidance, and were reminded of their duty through Bhishma and Draupadi.
The same truth is reflected in the Ramayana. Rama, though an incarnation of the Supreme Himself, displayed profound devotion to Shiva. At Rameswaram, He consecrated a Shiva Lingam and worshipped Shiva before proceeding to Lanka. Likewise, Sita also prayed to Shiva and Parvati, reflecting deep reverence.
This conveys a powerful spiritual truth — the Divine is one, though worshipped in many forms. True devotion does not create division between deities; it recognizes unity in all manifestations of the Supreme.
Faith, therefore, is not merely belief—it is alignment with the Divine will. No matter how intense one’s worship, if one acts against divine principles, such practices lose their value. The Divine has no selfish motive; it is human beings, driven by limited desires, who deviate from the path. Even small deviations can grow into significant consequences over time.
Just as clouds gather or disperse by the wind, time brings union and separation, joy and sorrow. Time itself is a manifestation of the Divine—and it must never be wasted.
