*31. tato varṇāś ca catvāras teṣāṁ brāhmaṇa uttamaḥ*
*brāhmaṇeṣv api veda-jño hy artha-jño 'bhyadhikas tatah*
*MEANING : Among human beings, the society which is divided according to quality and work is best, and in that society, the intelligent men, who are designated as brāhmaṇas, are best. Among the brāhmaṇas, one who has studied the Vedas is the best, and among the brāhmaṇas who have studied the Vedas, one who knows the actual purport of Veda is the best.*
*PURPORT : The system of four classifications in human society according to quality and work is very scientific. This system of brāhmaṇas, kṣatriyas, vaiśyas and śūdras has now become vitiated as the present caste system in India, but it appears that this system has been current a very long time, since it is mentioned in Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam and Bhagavad-gītā. Unless there is such a division of the social orders in human society, including the intelligent class, the martial class, the mercantile class and the laborer class, there is always confusion as to who is to work for what purpose. A person trained to the stage of understanding the Absolute Truth is a brāhmaṇa, and when such a brāhmaṇa is veda jña, he understands the purpose of Veda. The purpose of Veda is to understand the Absolute. One who understands the Absolute Truth in three phases, namely Brahman, Paramātmā and Bhagavān, and who understands the term Bhagavān to mean the Supreme Personality of Godhead, is considered to be the best of the brāhmaṇas, or a Vaiṣṇava.*

अमृताशस्स इतिवाप्रोच्यते प्रभुरच्युतः ॥
Yasvātmāmrta maśnāti pīyuṣaṃ mathitaṃ hariḥ,
Pāyayitvā surān sarvān svayaṃ cāśnāti veti saḥ.
Utānaśvaraphalatyādyadāśā kathyate’mrtā,
Amrtāśassa itivāprocyate prabhuracyutaḥ.
*He who consumes the nectar of His own Ātman. 'Amrtaṃ aśnāti' can be interpreted as the One who made the devas drink the nectar obtained by churning the ocean and also Who drank Himself.*

*చింతామణుల ప్రకాశముతో నలరారు కైలాసమునందు వందలాది కామధేనువులు గలవు. దివ్యమగు కైలాసశిఖరము పూర్తిగా స్వర్ణమయము. అచట అంతటా అద్భుతములు శోభను గూర్చును (27). అచట సర్వావయవసుందరుడు, పచ్చనివాడు, ముక్కంటి, చంద్రుని శిరముపై దాల్చినవాడు అగు శంకరుడు పార్వతితో గూడి ఉపవిష్టుడై యుండగా చూచితిని (28). ఆ గొప్ప అద్భుతదృశ్యమును చూచిన నాకు అపుడు మనస్సులో ఒక సందేహము కలిగెను. ఇట్టి సంపద ముల్లోకములో ఎక్కడనైననూ ఉన్నదా? లేదా? 29. On seeing this wonderfully great thing, a doubt arose in my mind. Can there be anywhere in the three worlds such a splendour as this?”
30. O lord of Daityas then the idea of your prosperity struck into my mind. Now I have come to you to see it personally.

31. On hearing these words of Nārada the lord of Daityas Jalandhara showed all his glory to Nārada.
32. On seeing it, the wise Nārada, eager to realise the interests of the gods, spoke to the king of Daityas, Jalandhara, induced by the lord.

33. O foremost among heroes, you have everything conducive to prosperity. You are the lord of the three worlds. What wonder that you possess this wealth.

*If love goes deeper, husbands and wives become brothers and sisters. If love goes deeper, the sun energy becomes moon energy: The heat is gone, it is very cool. And when love goes deeper, a misunderstanding can happen, because we have become accustomed to the fever, the passion, the excitement, and now it all looks foolish. It is foolish! Now when you make love, it looks silly; if you don't make love, you feel as if something is missing because of the old habit.*
*When a husband and wife start feeling like this, a fear arises--have you started taking the other for granted? Has he become a brother or a sister, no longer your choice, no longer your ego trip?
