🌷. తాత్పర్యం :
*విషయ కోరికలచే జ్ఞానము అపహరింప బడిన వారు ఇతర దేవతలకు శరణము నొంది తమ గుణములను బట్టి ఆయా పూజా విధానములను అనుసరింతురు.*
🌷. భాష్యము :
సమస్త భౌతికకల్మషముల నుండి ముక్తులైనవారు శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుని శరణువేడి అతని భక్తియుక్తసేవలో నియుక్తులగుదురు. భౌతికసంపర్కము సంపూర్ణముగా క్షాళనము కానంతవరకు వారు అభక్తులుగానే పరిగణింపబడుదురు.
విషయకోరికలు కలిగియున్నను శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుని శరణుజొచ్చినవారు బాహ్యప్రకృతిచే ఆకర్షింపబడనివారే యగుదురు. ఏలయన వారు సరియైన గమ్యమునె దరిచేరియున్నందున క్రమముగా కామము నుండి బయటపడగలరు.
శుద్ధభక్తుడై సర్వవిధములైన కోరికల నుండి ముక్తుడైనను లేదా సర్వవిధములైన విషయకోరికలు పూర్ణముగా కలిగియున్నను లేదా భౌతికసంపర్కము నుండి ముక్తిని వాంఛించుచున్నను మనుజుడు సర్వవిధములా వాసుదేవునికే శరణుపొంది అతనినే సేవించవలెనని శ్రీమద్భాగవతము (2.3.10) నందు ఉపదేశింపబడినది.
అకామ: సర్వకామో వా మోక్షకామ ఉదారధీ: |
తీవ్రేణ భక్తియోగేన యజేత పురుషం పరమ్
కాని బుద్ధిహీనులైన మనుజులు ఆధ్యాత్మికజ్ఞానము లేకుండుటచే విషయకోరికల తక్షణప్రాప్తి కొరకు ఇతరదేవతల శరణుజొత్తురు.
సాధారణముగా అట్టివారు శ్రీకృష్ణుని దరిచేరరు. రజస్తమోగుణ భరితులై యున్నందున వారు వివిధ దేవతలను అర్చింతురు. ఆయా పూజా విధివిధానములను అనుసరించుచు వారు సంతృప్తులై యుందురు.
అట్టి దేవతారాధకులు అల్పకోరికల యందే మగ్నులైయుండి పరమగమ్యమును ఎట్లు పొందవలెనో ఎరుగకుందురు. కాని శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుని భక్తులు మాత్రము ఆ విధముగా పెడమార్గమును పట్టరు.
వేదశాస్త్రమునందు వివధ ప్రయోజనములకై వివిధ దేవతారాధానము ప్రతిపాదించబడియున్నందున (ఉదా రోగియైనవాడు సూర్యుని పూజించవలెను) కృష్ణభక్తులు కానివారు కొన్ని ప్రయోజనములకు భగవానుని కన్నను దేవతలే మేలని భావింతురు. కాని శుద్ధభక్తుడు శ్రీకృష్ణుడే సర్వులకు ప్రభువని తెలిసియుండును.
“ఏకలే ఈశ్వర కృష్ణ, ఆర సబ భృత్య – దేవదేవుడైన శ్రీకృష్ణుడొక్కడే ప్రభువు, ఇతరులందరును అతని సేవకులు” అని చైతన్యచరితామృతము (ఆదిలీల – 5.142) నందు తెలుపబడినది.
కనుకనే శుద్ధభక్తుడు ఎన్నడును తన కోరికల పూర్ణము కొరకై దేవతలను ఆశ్రయింపక కేవలము శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుని పైననే ఆధారపడియుండును. అట్టి శుద్ధభక్తుడు తనకు భగవానుడు ఒసగిన దానితో సంతృప్తి చెంది యుండును.

*20. kāmais tais tair hṛta-jñānāḥ prapadyante ’nya-devatāḥ*
*taṁ taṁ niyamam āsthāya prakṛtyā niyatāḥ svayā*
🌷 Translation :
*Those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires surrender unto demigods and follow the particular rules and regulations of worship according to their own natures.*
🌹 Purport :
Those who are freed from all material contaminations surrender unto the Supreme Lord and engage in His devotional service.
As long as the material contamination is not completely washed off, they are by nature nondevotees.
But even those who have material desires and who resort to the Supreme Lord are not so much attracted by external nature; because of approaching the right goal, they soon become free from all material lust.
In the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam it is recommended that whether one is a pure devotee and is free from all material desires, or is full of material desires, or desires liberation from material contamination, he should in all cases surrender to Vāsudeva and worship Him. As stated in the Bhāgavatam (2.3.10):
akāmaḥ sarva-kāmo vā
mokṣa-kāma udāra-dhīḥ
tīvreṇa bhakti-yogena
yajeta puruṣaṁ param
Less intelligent people who have lost their spiritual sense take shelter of demigods for immediate fulfillment of material desires.
Generally, such people do not go to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, because they are in the lower modes of nature (ignorance and passion) and therefore worship various demigods. Following the rules and regulations of worship, they are satisfied.
The worshipers of demigods are motivated by small desires and do not know how to reach the supreme goal, but a devotee of the Supreme Lord is not misguided.

బ్రహ్మ ఇట్లు పలికెను -
అపుడు ఋషులందరు మిక్కిలి దీనముగా దుఃఖముతో నిట్లు పలికి చేతులు జోడించి చండిక యెదుట నిలబడిరి (40).వారి ఈ మాటలను విని ప్రసన్నురాలై కరుణతో నిండిన హృదయము గల చండిక ఋషులకు ఇట్లు బదులిడెను (41).
దేవి ఇట్లు పలికెను -
నా కుమారుడు జీవించినచో ఈ సంహారము ఆగిపోవును. నా కుమారుడు మీ అందరి మధ్యలో పూజ్యుడు కాగలడు (42). మీరు అట్లు చేసినచో ఆతడు సర్వమునకు అధ్యక్షుడు కాగలడు. అపుడు లోకమునందు శాంతి కలుగును. అట్లు గానిచో, మీకు సుఖము ఉండబోదు(43).
బ్రహ్మ ఇట్లు పలికెను -
దేవి ఇట్లు పలుకగా, నీవు మరియు ఇతర ఋషులు అందరు అపుడు ఆ దేవతలవద్దకు వచ్చి వృత్తాంతము నంతయు నివేదించిరి (44). ఇంద్రుడు మొదలగు దేవతలు ఆ వృత్తాంతమును విని దీనులై శంకరునకు నమస్కరించి చేతులు జోడించి విన్నవించుకొనిరి (45). దేవతల విన్నపమును విని శివుడు మరల వారితో నిట్లనెను : అటులనే చేయుడు. లోకములన్నియు అపుడు స్వస్థతను పొందగలవు(46). ఉత్తరదిక్కున వెళ్లుడు. ముందుగా ఏ ప్రాణి కనబడునో దాని శిరస్సును తీసుకొని వచ్చి ఈ దేహము నందు సంధానము చేయుడు (47).
బ్రహ్మ ఇట్లు పలికెను -
శివుని ఆజ్ఞను పాలించు ఆ దేవతలు సర్వమును అటులనే చేసిరి. దేహమును తీసుకు వచ్చి దానిని యథావిధిగా కడిగిరి (48). వారు శివుని మరల పూజించి ఉత్తరదిక్కుగా వెళ్లిరి. అపుడు మున్ముందుగా వారికి ఒక దంతము గల ఏనుగు కనబడెను (49).

42-43. If my son regains life there may not be further annihilation. If you can arrange for him an honourable status and position among you as the chief presiding officer, there may be peace in the world. Otherwise you will never be happy.
Brahmā said:—
44. Thus warned, you and other sages returned and intimated to all the gods everything in detail.
45. On hearing that, Indra and other gods joined their palms in reverence and piteously intimated to Śiva what had transpired there.
46. On hearing what the gods said, Śiva spoke thus—“It shall be done accordingly so that there may be peace over all the worlds.”
47. “You shall go to the northern direction and whatever person you meet at first you cut off his head and fit it to this body.”
Brahmā said:—
48. Then they carried out Śiva’s behests and acted accordingly. They brought the headless body of Gaṇeśa and washed it well.
49. They paid homage to it and started towards the north. It was a single-tusked elephant that they met.

*ఉద్యమ + భైరవ అంటే ఉద్యమో భైరవః. సాహిత్యపరంగా ఉద్యమ అంటే అత్యున్నత చైతన్యం. ఒకరి ఆధ్యాత్మిక పట్టుదలకు ప్రతిఫలం. అంకితభావం మరియు పట్టుదల లేకుండా ఉన్నత స్థానానికి చేరుకోలేరు. ఈ సందర్భంలో, పట్టుదల అంటే మనస్సు యొక్క జ్ఞాన ప్రక్రియ. శారీరక శ్రమతో అత్యున్నత స్థాయి ఆధ్యాత్మికత ఎదుగుదలను పొందలేము. ఆధ్యాత్మికతకు శారీరక శ్రమతో సంబంధం లేదు, ఎందుకంటే మానసిక సామరస్యం ద్వారా మాత్రమే శివుడిని గ్రహించవచ్చు.*
*ఉద్యమో అంటే చైతన్యం యొక్క స్వచ్ఛమైన రూపంలో లిప్రమాత్రంలో జరిగే ఆకస్మికమైన శివ సాక్షాత్కారం. ఇది జలాశయం లాంటిది. ఒక జలాశయం నిండినప్పుడు, అది పొంగి పొర్లడం ప్రారంభమవుతుంది. ఆధ్యాత్మిక జ్ఞానం సంపూర్ణంగా ఉన్నప్పుడు, అది ఆనందాన్ని మరియు తత్ఫలితంగా సాక్షాత్కారానికి దారి తీయడం ప్రారంభమవుతుంది. ఉద్యమో ఈ పరిస్థితిని సూచిస్తుంది. భైరవః అంటే శివుడు. నిర్మలమైన చైతన్యంలో ఒక కాంతి మెరుపులా శివుడు సాక్షాత్కరిస్తాడని ఈ సూత్రం చెబుతోంది.*

*🌴. Shiva is realized like a flash of light in serene consciousness. 🌴*
*Udayama + Bhairava is udyamo bhairavaḥ. Literally udyamo means pinnacle of consciousness, the reward for one’s spiritual perseverance. One cannot reach a highest point without dedication and perseverance. In this context, perseverance means the cognitive process of the mind. The highest level of spirituality cannot be attained by physical exertion. Spirituality has nothing to do with physical exertion, as Shiva can be realized only through mental attunement.*
*Therefore, udyamo means the sudden realization of Shiva that takes place in a fraction of a second in the midst purest form of consciousness. It is like a reservoir. When a reservoir is full, it begins to overflow. When spiritual knowledge is total, it begins to outpour leading to bliss and consequent realization. Udyamo refers to this situation. Bhairavaḥ means Shiva. This aphorism says that Shiva is realized just like a flash of light in the arena of serene consciousness.*
