*39. యథా పుత్రాచ్చ విత్తాచ్చ పృథఙ్మర్యః ప్రతీయతే|*
*అప్యాత్మత్వేనాభిమతాద్దేహాదేః పురుషస్తథా॥*
*తాత్పర్యము : సామాన్య జీవుడు అతిప్రేమ కారణముగా పుత్రులు, సంపదలు మొదలగు వాటియందు ఆత్మబుద్ధిని (మమకారము) కలిగియుండును. కాని, అతడు విచక్షణతో పరిశీలించిన పిమ్మట ఆ పుత్రాది సంపదలన్నియును తనకంటె వేరని గ్రహించును. అట్లే, ఆత్మజ్ఞానము కలిగినంతనే అతనికి ఇంతకుముందు దేహముపై గల ఆత్మభావము నశించిపోవును. అనగా ఆత్మ దేహముకంటే వేరని బోధపడును.*
*వ్యాఖ్య : శరీరమూ బుద్ధి మనసు అహంకారం చిత్తం. ఈ ఆరింటికన్నా ఆత్మ వేరే ఉందా. ఉన్నట్లు ఎలా నమ్మాలి? ఏ ప్రమాణం ఉంది? "నా శరీరం" అంటే నేను వేరు శరీరం వేరు. "నా పుత్రుడు" అంటే నేను వేరు పుత్రుడు వేరు. ఏది నా అంటున్నామో అది ఆత్మ. ప్రపంచములో అందరికంటే అన్నిటికన్నా ప్రీతిపాత్రమైనది పుత్రుడు. అయినా కొడుకు వేరు "నేను " వేరు. పుత్రుడు మిత్రుడూ వీరు మనకు ప్రీతి పాత్రమైన వారు. వారికంటే మనిషి విడిగానే కనపడతాడూ, తెలుసుకుంటాడు. కొడుకు మీద ప్రేమ ఉంది అంటే మొదట తన మీద తనకు ప్రీతి ఉన్నది అని అర్థం. అత్యంత ప్రీతి పాత్రమైంది దేహం. "నాకు నా మిత్రునికీ/పుత్రునికి భేధమే లేదు" అని మాటలలో అన్నా, ఆ "నేను" వేరు, పుత్రుడు/మిత్రుడు వేరు. అలాగే దేహము వేరు పురుషుడు వేరు.*

*apy ātmatvenābhimatād dehādeḥ puruṣas tathā*
*MEANING : Because of great affection for family and wealth, one accepts a son and some money as his own, and due to affection for the material body, one thinks that it is his. But actually, as one can understand that his family and wealth are different from him, the liberated soul can understand that he and his body are not the same.*
*PURPORT : The status of real knowledge is explained in this verse. There are many children, but we accept some children as our sons and daughters because of our affection for them, although we know very well that these children are different from us. Similarly, because of great affection for money, we accept some amount of wealth in the bank as ours. In the same way, we claim that the body is ours because of affection for it. I say that it is "my" body. I then extend that possessive concept and say, "It is my hand, my leg," and further, "It is my bank balance, my son, my daughter." But actually I know that the son and the money are separate from me. It is the same with the body; I am separate from my body. It is a question of understanding, and the proper understanding is called pratibuddha. By obtaining knowledge in devotional service, or Kṛṣṇa consciousness, one can become a liberated soul.*

సనత్కుమారుడిట్లు పలికెను -
ఇంతలో శంభుడు ప్రసన్నుడగుటను గాంచి, శంభుని అనుగ్రహ బలముచే దహింప బడలని మయాసురుడు ఆనందముతో అచటకు వచ్చెను (1). అతడు చెతులు జోడించి శివునకు ప్రీతితో నమస్కరించి, ఇతర దేవతలకు గూడ నిశ్శంకముగా నమస్కరించి, మరల శివునకు సాష్టాంగ నమస్కారమును చేసెను (2). దానవ శ్రేష్ఠుడగు ఆ మయుడు అపుడు లేచి శివుని చూచి ప్రేమతో బొంగురు వోయిన కంఠస్వరము గలవాడై, భక్తితో నిండిన అంతరంగము గలవాడై ఇట్లు స్తుతించెను (3).
మయుడిట్లు పలికెను -
దేవ దేవా! మహా దేవా! భక్తప్రియా! శంకరా! కల్పవృక్ష స్వరూపుడవగు నీకు స్వపర భేదము లేదు (4). జ్యోతిస్స్వరూపుడవగు నీకు నమస్కారము. జగద్రూపుడవగు నీకు నమస్కారము. పవిత్రమగు అంతఃకరణము గల నీకు నమస్కారము. పవిత్రము చేయు నీకు అనేక నమస్కారములు (5). చిత్రమగు ఆకారము గల వాడవు, నిత్యుడవు, రూపములకు అతీతమైన వాడవు అగు నీకు నమస్కారము. దివ్య స్వరూపుడవు. దివ్యమగు ఆకారము గలవాడవు అగు నీకు నమస్కారము (6). నమస్కరించిన వారి కష్టముల నన్నిటినీ నశింపచేయువాడు. మంగళ స్వరూపుడు, ముల్లోకములను సృష్టించి భరించి పోషించి లయమును చేయువాడు అగు నీకు అనేక నమస్కారములు (7). భక్తిచే పొందదగినవాడు, భక్తులయోడ దయతో నిండినవాడు, తపస్సునకు యోగ్యమగు ఫలము నొసంగువాడు, పార్వతీపతి, మంగళరూపుడు, జగదీశ్వరుడు అగు నీకు నమస్కారము (8). ఓ శ్రేష్ఠమగు ప్రభువా! నీవు స్తోత్రప్రియుడవు. కాని స్తుతించుట నేను ఎరుంగను. ఓ సర్వేశ్వరా! నీవు ప్రసన్నుడవై శరణు జొచ్చిన నన్ను రక్షింపుము (9).

2. With great delight he bowed to Śiva and other gods. With palms joined in reverence and with stooping shoulders he bowed to Śiva again.
3. Then he got up. Maya the foremost among the Asuras, with his mind full of devotion and voice choked with emotions of love he eulogised facing Śiva.
Maya said:—
4. O great lord, lord of the Gods and favourably disposed to your devotees, O Śiva, you are in the form of the wish-yielding Kalpa tree and devoid of special leaning to any side.
5. Obeisance to you O splendour-formed, obeisance to you omniformed; obeisance to you, O sanctified soul; obeisance to you, O holy one.
6. Obeisance to you of variegated forms; to you, the eternal one; obeisance to you who extend beyond all forms. Obeisance to you of divine forms, shapes, and features.

As He can be attained only by devotion, which is difficult to practice, He is called Durlabhaḥ vide 'Devotion to Krṣṇa arises only to men whose sins have died out by tapas, jñāna and samādhi in thousands of other lives' and also the Lord's words: 'I can be attained only by devotion to Me alone'.

*🕉. This existence is an orchestra, and we have to be in tune with it. That is why music has so much appeal to the human mind, to the human heartbecause sometimes listening to beautiful music, you start slipping into that universal harmony. 🕉*
*Listening to Beethoven or to Mozart, to classical Eastern music, one starts moving into a different world; a totally different gestalt arises. You are no longer in your thoughts-your wavelength changes. That great music starts surrounding you, starts playing on your heart, starts creating a rhythm that you have lost. That's the definition of great music: that it can give you a glimpse of how one can exist, totally, with the whole--even for a few moments. Great peace descends, and there is great joy in the heart. You may not understand what has happened, but the great master, the great musician, is simply playing on a very fundamental base.*
