*ఓ గొప్పబాహువులు గల అర్జునా! ఈ విధముగా తనను ఇంద్రియ, మనోబుద్ధులకు పరమైనవానిగా తెలిసికొని, ఆధ్యాత్మిక బుద్ధిచే (కృష్ణభక్తిరసభావానము) మనస్సును స్థిరపరచి, ఆ విధముగా ఆధ్యాత్మికబలముచే మనుజుడు కామమనెడి ఈ దుర్జయమైన శత్రువును జయింపవలెను.*
🌷. భాష్యము :
మానవుడు నిర్విశేష శున్యమును చరమలక్ష్యముగా భావింపక తనను శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుని నిత్యదాసునిగా గుర్తించి కృష్ణభక్తిరసభావనను అవలంబించవలెనని భగవద్గీత యందలి ఈ తృతీయాధ్యాయము నిర్దేశించుచున్నది. భౌతికజీవనస్థితి యందు ప్రతియొక్కరు కామవాంఛను మరియు ప్రకృతిపై ఆధిపత్యము వహింపవలెనను కోరికను కలిగియుందురు. అటువంటి ఇంద్రియభోగవాంఛ మరియు స్వామిత్వ భావనయే బద్ధజీవునకు గొప్ప శత్రువై యున్నది. కాని కృష్ణభక్తి యనెడి బలము ద్వారా మనుజుడు ఇంద్రియములను, మనస్సును, బుద్ధిని, అదుపు చేయగలడు.
అనగా చేయు కర్మను మరియు విధ్యుక్తధర్మమును ఎవ్వరును హటాత్తుగా త్యజింపవలసిన అవసరము లేదు. కృష్ణభక్తిరసభావనను క్రమముగా వృద్ధిపరచుకొనుచు మనో, ఇంద్రియములచే ప్రభావితము కానటువంటి అధ్యాతిమికస్థితి యందు మనుజుడు నెలకొనగలడు. పవిత్రతను సాధించుట కొరకై యత్నించెడి స్థిరబుద్ధి ద్వారా అది సాధ్యపడగలదు. ఇదియే ఈ అధ్యాయపు సంపూర్ణ సారాంశము. అపరిపక్వ భౌతికజీవనస్థితిలో తాత్వికకల్పనలు మరియు నామమాత్ర యోగము ద్వారా ఇంద్రియనిరోధము వంటివి మనుజుని ఆధ్యాత్మికజీవనమునకు తోడ్పడజాలవు. కనుక అతడు ఉన్నతబుద్ధి ద్వారా కృష్ణభక్తిరసభావన యందు సుశిక్షితుడు కావాలసియున్నది.
శ్రీమద్భగవద్గీత యందలి “కర్మయోగము” లేదా “కృష్ణభక్తి భావన యందు విధ్యుక్తధర్మనిర్వహణము” అను తృతీయాధ్యాయమునకు భక్తివేదాంతభాష్యము సమాప్తము.

*Thus knowing oneself to be transcendental to the material senses, mind and intelligence, O mighty-armed Arjuna, one should steady the mind by deliberate spiritual intelligence [Kṛṣṇa consciousness] and thus – by spiritual strength – conquer this insatiable enemy known as lust.*
🌷 Purport :
This Third Chapter of the Bhagavad-gītā is conclusively directive to Kṛṣṇa consciousness by knowing oneself as the eternal servitor of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, without considering impersonal voidness the ultimate end. In the material existence of life, one is certainly influenced by propensities for lust and desire for dominating the resources of material nature. Desire for overlording and for sense gratification is the greatest enemy of the conditioned soul; but by the strength of Kṛṣṇa consciousness, one can control the material senses, the mind and the intelligence.
One may not give up work and prescribed duties all of a sudden; but by gradually developing Kṛṣṇa consciousness, one can be situated in a transcendental position without being influenced by the material senses and the mind – by steady intelligence directed toward one’s pure identity. This is the sum total of this chapter. In the immature stage of material existence, philosophical speculations and artificial attempts to control the senses by the so-called practice of yogic postures can never help a man toward spiritual life. He must be trained in Kṛṣṇa consciousness by higher intelligence.
Thus end the Bhaktivedanta Purports to the Third Chapter of the Śrīmad Bhagavad-gītā in the matter of Karma-yoga, or the Discharge of One’s Prescribed Duty in Kṛṣṇa Consciousness.

*🌻. కూర్మావతార వర్ణనము - 2 🌻*
పిమ్మట విష్ణువు స్త్రీరూపమును ధరించెను. మంచి సౌందర్యము గల ఆమెను చూచిన దైత్యులు మోహము చెంది, ''ఓ వరాననా ! మాకు భార్యవు కమ్ము; ఈ ఆమృతమును తీసికొని మాకు (త్రాగించుము) పంచిపెట్టుము'' అని పలికిరి.
అట్లే అని పలికి హరి వారి చేతినుండి అమృతమును గ్రహంచి దేవతలచే త్రాగించెను. రాహువు చంద్రరూపమును ధరించి అమృతము త్రాగుచుండగా సూర్యచంద్రులాతనిని పట్టి చూపిరి. అప్పుడు విష్ణువు రాహు శిరస్సును చక్రముచే ఖండించి వేరు చేసి దయతో దానికి మరణము లేకుండునట్లు చేసెను. రాహువు వరము నిచ్చు హరితో ఇట్లు పలికెను : '' చంద్రసూర్యులు నాచే పట్టుబడుచుందురు. అది గ్రహణ మగును. ఆ కాలమునందు ఇచ్చు దానము ఆక్షయ మగుగాక''. ''అటులనే ఆగుగాక'' అని విష్ణువు ఆతనితో పలికెను. పిమ్మట స్త్రీరూపమును త్యజించి దేవతలతో కలిసి యుండగా శివుడు '' ఆ స్త్రీ రూపమును చూపుము'' అని హరితో అనెను.
భగవంతుడైన శ్రీమహావిష్ణువు రుద్రునకు స్త్రీరూపమును చూపెను. శివుడు విష్ణుమయచే మోహితుడై పార్వతిని విడచి ఆస్త్రీని వెంబడించెను. శివుడు ఉన్మత్తుడై, దిగంబరుడై ఆమె కేశపాశమును పట్టుకొనెను. ఆమె జుట్టు విడిపించుకొని వెళ్లిపోయెను. ఇతడు ఆమె వెంట పరుగెత్తెను. ఈశ్వరుని వీర్యము స్ఖలితమై భూమిపై పడిన చోటులలో నెల్ల బంగారు లింగముల క్షేత్ర మయ్యెను. ఇది యంతయు మాయ యని గ్రహించి శివుడు స్వస్థచిత్తుయెను. అపుడు విష్ణువు శివునితో ఇట్లనెను : '' రుద్రా! నీవు నా మాయను జయించితివి. ఈ లోకములో నీవు తప్ప మరెవ్వరును నా మాయను జయింపజాలరు. ''
అమృతమును పొందజాలని ఆ దైత్యులను దేవతలు యుద్ధములో జయించిరి. దేవతలు స్వర్గములో నివసించిరి. దైత్యులు పాతళలోకనివాసు లయిరి. ఈ దేవి విజయకథను పఠించువాడు స్వర్గమును పొందను.
ఆగ్నేయ మహా పురాణములో కూర్మావతార మనెడు తృతీయాధ్యయము సమాప్తము.

13. Having seen that beautiful form, the demons became fascinated and said, “O fair-faced one! Be our wife, take this ambrosia and make us drink it.”
14-15. Hari (Viṣṇu) said, “Let it be so”, and took it from them and made the celestials drink it. As Rāhu assumed the form of the Moon and drank a portion, he was detected by the Sun and the Moon and was brought to the notice of (Viṣṇu). His head was severed by his enemy Hari (Viṣṇu). That severed head of Rāhu then said to Hari, the bestower of gifts (by whose grace) it had attained immortality.
16. “When the intoxicated Rāhu would seize the Sun and the Moon, may the charities made on that occasion be imperishable.”
17. Viṣṇu in the company of all the immortals said, “Be it so" and cast off his female form. He was then requested by Hara to show that form (again).
18. (Lord) Hari (Viṣṇu) showed the feminine form to Rudra (Siva). Sambhu (Siva) being captivated by the illusory power, renouncing Gauri (Pārvatī) sought that feminine form.
19. Becoming nude and behaving like a mad man, he held the damsel by her hair. She got herself freed and ran away. He too followed her.
20. Wherever the seminal fluid of Hara dropped, there came into being sacred places of liṅgas and gold.
21. Then knowing her as illusory, Hara (Siva) assumed his original form. Then Hari (Viṣṇu) told Siva, “O Rudra (Siva) My illusory power has been conquered by you.
22-23. There is no other male on the earth besides you, who is capable of conquering this illusory power of mine.” Then the demons, who had not got the ambrosia were defeated by the celestials in battle. The celestials got back to their celestial home. One who reads this account goes to the celestial region.

*The first thing you can do in your life towards performance of austerity is to avoid luxury and a happy-go-lucky attitude. You should have or keep with you only those things which are necessary for you, and should not keep those things which are not essential for a reasonably comfortable existence. This is the first step that you can take in austerity. Something is necessary for you under certain given conditions—okay, granted—but you need not ask for more than that.*
*Eating, sleeping and comforts of any kind have to be within the limit of the exigency that you feel under the conditions that you are living, for the work that you are doing, etc., and you need not go beyond that limit. This is the first step that you may take towards austerity. Austerity is physical, verbal and mental. You have to be restrained not only in your physical appurtenances but also in the words that you speak and the acts that you do. That is, you should not cause any kind of disharmony, incongruity in the atmosphere, and towards that end you may manipulate and adjust yourself ably for being a humane individual, a good person, in the sense that your presence does not cause conflict with anyone.*

*🌻 63. శిష్య పరీక్ష 🌻*
*సద్గురువు శిష్యుల నెన్నుకొనుటలో మూడు పరీక్షలు పెట్టును. అందు మొదటిది, శిష్యుని దృక్పథము. అతనియందు ఇతరుల శ్రేయస్సును గూర్చిన భావ మెక్కువగ నున్నదా లేక తన శ్రేయస్సును గూర్చిన భావ మెక్కువగ నున్నదా? - తన శ్రేయస్సు గూర్చి భావమున్న వానిని శిష్యునిగ అంగీకరించినచో సద్గురువునకు తిప్పలు తప్పవు. అతని వలన సద్గురువు అపఖ్యాతి చెందగలడు.*
*రెండవది : ధర్మమును, దైవమును సమర్థించు బుద్ధి యున్నదా? లేదా? ధర్మమును సమర్థించనివాడు దైవమును సమర్థించనివాడే. ధర్మమునందు విశ్వాసము లేనివారు ధర్మసంస్థలలో యున్నప్పుడు, వారు నిర్వహింపబడుచున్న కార్యములకు విఘ్నములు కలిగింతురు. ధర్మానుష్ఠానబుద్ధి లేనివారిని శిష్యునిగ అంగీకరించుటలో చాల అపాయముండును. లోక శ్రేయస్సు, ధర్మము నందు విశ్వాసము గలవానినే శిష్యునిగ చేర్చుకొనవలెను. మూడవది : స్వంతముగ ఆలోచించగలిగిన శక్తి, కార్య నిర్వహణాదీక్ష, ఇది లేనివారు గురువునకు బరువే. శిష్య వ్యామోహము లేక, పై మూడు విషయములను పరిశీలించి శిష్యునంగీకరించ వలెను.*
