*🍀 33-3. కూడి యుండుట - "ఈ లోకము అనిత్యము, అసుఖము. కావున నన్ను సేవించుచు నాతో యుండుము" అని తెలిపినాడు. లోకము నందలి లోకులు సంబంధములు బంధములు పెంచుకొను చుందురు. నా ఇల్లాలని, నా కుమారుడని, నా బంధువులని, నా మిత్రులని భావించుచు సేవ చేయుచు నుందురు. కాని ఋణము తీరిన వెంటనే సంబంధములు అదృశ్యమగును. ఈ సంబంధములు శాశ్వతము కాదని తెలిసియు జీవుడారాటపడుచు సుఖమును కోల్పోవును. మనమీ లోకము నుండి నిష్క్రమించి మరల ప్రవేశించునపుడు ఆత్మ సంబంధము లేమియు గుర్తురావు. అంతయు నూతనముగ నుండును. 🍀*

*తాత్పర్యము : అన్ని జాతులవారును అనన్యభక్తి మార్గమున నన్ను పొందగలిగినపుడు పుణ్యాత్ములగు బ్రాహ్మణులు, భక్తులగు రాజర్షులు కూడ నన్ను పొందగలరని వేరుగ చెప్పనవసరము లేదు గదా! ఈ లోక మనిత్యము. ఇందు సుఖము లేదు. కావున నన్ను సేవించుచు ఆనందము పొందుము.*
*వివరణము : ఈ శ్లోకమున మరియొక సత్యమును దైవము ప్రకటించి నాడు. *తానిష్టపడిన వారందరును వారికిష్టమైన వారితో మెలగుచు నిరాశ, నిస్పృహ కలిగింతురు. ఈ సంబంధములు శాశ్వతము కాదని తెలిసియు జీవుడారాటపడుచు సుఖమును కోల్పోవును. సంబంధ బాంధవ్యములు నీటి మీద వ్రాతలవలె ఏర్పడుచు, అదృశ్య మగుచుండును. వాటిని గూర్చిన భావన అసుఖమునే ఇచ్చును. అంతేకాదు అవి అనిత్యములు కూడ. ఒకప్పటి తండ్రి తాతలు ఇప్పుడు లేరు. అట్లే కొంతకాలమునకు మనమీ లోకము నుండి నిష్క్రమించి మరల ప్రవేశించునపుడు ఆత్మ సంబంధము లేమియు గుర్తురావు. అంతయు నూతనముగ నుండును.*

బ్రహ్మ ఇట్లు పలికెను -
అది అనునకూలమగు సమయమని తలంచిన రతీదేవి మిక్కిలి ప్రసన్నురాలై దీనవత్సలుడగు ఆ శంకరునితో నిట్లనెను (1).
రతి ఇట్లు పలికెను -
పార్వతిని వివాహమాడి నీవు మిక్కిలి దుర్లభమగు సౌభాగ్యమును పొందితివి. స్వార్థము నెరుంగని నా ప్రాణ ప్రియుడగు భర్త భస్మము చేయబడుటకు కారణమేమి? (2) ఈ సమయమలో ఈ నా భర్తను బ్రతికించి నీ యందు ప్రేమ కార్యమును నింపు కొనుము. మనిద్దరకీ సమానముగా కలిగిన వియోగ దుఃఖమును దూరము చేయుము (3). ఓ మహేశ్వరా! ఈ వివాహమహోత్సవములో అందరు జనులు ఆనందముగా నున్నారు. నేనోక్కతెను మాత్రమే భర్త లేని కారణముచే దుఃఖితురాలనై ఉన్నాను (4). ఓ దేవా! నా భర్తను బ్రతికించుము. ఓ శంకరా! ప్రసన్నుడవు కమ్ము. ఓ దీన బంధూ! నీమాటను నీవు కార్యరూపములో పెట్టుము (5).
స్థావర జంగమాత్మకమగు ఈ ముల్లోకములలో నా దుఃఖమును నశింప చేయ గలవాడు నీవు తక్క మరియొకడు ఎవడు గలడు? ఈ సత్యము నెరింగి నా యందు దయను చూపుము (6). దీనులయందు దయను చూపే ఓ నాథా! సర్వులకు ఆనందమును కలిగించు ఈ నీ వివాహము మహోత్సవముగా జరిగినది. నన్ను కూడ ఉత్సవము గలదానినిగా చేయుము (7). నా భర్త జీవించిన తరువాత ప్రియురాలగు పార్వతితో ఈ నీ విహారము పరిపూర్ణము కాగలదనుటలో సందేహము లేదు (8). పరమేశ్వరుడవగు నీవు సర్వకార్యములను చేయ సమర్థుడవు. ఇన్ని మాటలేల? ఓ సర్వేశ్వరా! ఇపుడు వెంటనే నా భర్తను బ్రతికించుము (9).
బ్రహ్మ ఇట్లు పలికెను -
ఇట్లు పలికి మూట గట్టియున్న మన్మథుని భస్మమును ఇచ్చెను. ఆమె శంభుని యెదుట ' నాథా! నాథా' అని పలుకుతూ రోదించెను (10). రతి యొక్క ఏడుపును విని సరస్వతి మొదలగు దేవీమూర్తులందరు రోదించి దీనాతిదీనముగా నిట్లు పలికిరి (11).

1. At that time, thinking that the hour was favourable, Rati hopefully spoke to Śiva who is favourably disposed towards depressed people.
Rati said:—
2. Why did you reduce my beloved husband to ashes without gaining any interest when he had come near you with Pārvatī? He was my only fortunate possession very rare to get.
3. Give me back my husband, the lord of my journey of life who used to work lovingly with me. Remove my distress caused by separation.
4. O lord Śiva, in the great festival of your marriage, all people are happy. I alone am unhappy without my husband.
5. O lord, make me possessed of my husband. O Śiva, be pleased. O lord, friend of the distressed, please make your words true.
6. Excepting you, who is there in the three worlds including the mobile and immobile creatures who can destroy my sorrow. Knowing this, be merciful.
7. O lord, merciful to the depressed, make me jubilant at the jubilant celebration of your marriage that gives pleasure to everyone.
8. There is no doubt in this, that only when my lord is resuscitated will your sportive dalliance with your beloved Pārvatī be complete and perfect.
9. You are competent to do everything because you are the supreme lord. O lord of all, of what avail is this talk. Please resuscitate my husband quickly.
Brahmā said:—-
10. After saying thus she gave him the ashes of the cupid along with the bag in which they had been contained. “O lord, O lord”, saying thus she lamented much in front of Śiva.
11. On hearing the lamentation of Rati, Sarasvatī and other celestial ladies wept bitterly and spoke in piteous tones.

అగ్ని పలికెను.
కృష్ణుని మహాత్మ్యమునకు లక్షణమైన భారతము చెప్పెదను. విష్ణువు పాండవులను నిమిత్తముగా చేసికొని భూ భారమును హరించెను.
విష్ణువు నాభి కమలము నుండి బ్రహ్మ పుట్టెను. అతని పుత్రుడు అత్రి. అత్రికి చంద్రుడు, అతనికి బుధుడు, అతనికి ఐలుడు, అతనికి పురూరవుడు, అతనికి ఆయువు, అతనికి నహుషుడు, ఆతనికి. యయాతి, ఆతనికి పూరువు, పుట్టెను. అతని వంశమునందు భరతుడు, పిమ్మట కురువును పుట్టెను. అతని వంశమునందు శంతనువు జన్మించెను. అతనికి గంగాపుత్రుడైన భీష్ముడు జనించెను. శంతనువునకు సత్యవతియందు, భీష్ముని తమ్ములుగా చిత్రాంగద- విచిత్రలు పుట్టిరి.
శంతనువు స్వర్గస్థుడైన పిమ్మట భీష్ముడు బ్రహ్మచారిగనే ఉండి సోదరల రాజ్యము పాలించెను. చిన్నవాడైన చిత్రాంగుదుని, చిత్రాంగదుడనెడు గంధర్వుడు సంహరించెను. భీష్ముడు శత్రువులను జయించి కాశిరాజు కుమార్తెలైన అంబికాంబాలికలను తీసికొనివచ్చి విచిత్రవీర్యుని భార్యలనుగా చేసెను. విచిత్రవీర్యుడు రాజయక్ష్మచే స్వర్గస్థుడయ్యెను.
సత్యవతి అనుమతిచో వ్యాసునివలన అంబికయందు రాజైన ధృతరాష్ట్రుడును అంబాలికయందు పాండురాజును జనించిరి. ధృతరాష్ట్రుని వలన గాంధారియందు దుర్యోధనుడు మొదలగు నూర్గురు కుమారులు జనించిరి. పాండురాజు భార్యయైన కుంతియందు యమధర్మ రాజువలన యుధిష్ఠిరుడును. వాయుదేవునివలన భీముడును. దేవేంద్రునివలన అర్జునుడును జనించెను. అశ్వినీ దేవతల వలన మాద్రియందు నకులసహదేవులు పుట్టిరి. శతశృంగాశ్రమమునందు ఋషి శాపము పొందిన పాండురాజు, మాద్రీసంగము చేయుటవలన మరణించెను. మాద్రి అతనిని అనుగమించెను. కుంతి అవివాహితయై ఉండగా జనించిన కర్ణుడు దుర్యోధనుని ఆశ్రయించెను.

*🌻 Origin of the Kauravas and Pāṇḍavas - 1 🌻*
Agni said:
1. I shall narrate the (story of) Bhārata (which has) the description of the greatness of Kṛṣṇa. Viṣṇu removed heavy oppression on the earth having Pāṇḍavas as the instrumental cause.
2. Brahmā was born of the lotus in the navel of Viṣṇu. (Sage) Atri was the son of Brahmā. From Atri was born Soma. From Soma, Budha was born. From him (Budha) was born Aila—Purūravas.
3-4. Āyu (was born) from him. King Nahuṣa was then (born). Then Yayāti, then Puru (were born successsively). In his race (was born) Bharata. Then king Kuru (was born). In that race (was born) Śantanu. From him (was born) Bhīṣma (as) the son of the Ganges. (His) brothers Citriiṅgada and Vicitra (vīrya) were born to Śantanu through Satyavatī.
5-8. After Śantanu’s death, Bhīṣma who had no wife, (governed and) protected his brother’s kingdom. The young Citrāṅgada was killed by the Gandharva Citrāṅgada. The two daughters of Kāśirāja, Ambikā and Ambālikā brought (as captives) by Bhīṣma, the conqueror of the foes, (became) the wives of Vicitravīrya, He (Vicitravīrya) died on account of consumption. With the consent of Satyavatī, from Vyāsa, King Dhṛtarāṣṭra was (born) through Ambikā and Pāṇḍu through Ambālikā as sons. From Dhṛtarāṣṭra through Gāndhārī hundred sons (were born) with Duryodhana as the first.
9. By the curse of a sage[1] then he (Pāṇḍu) died on account of union with his wife at the hermitage of Śataśṛṅga, then Yudhiṣṭhira (was born) to Pāṇḍu through Kuntī from Dharma (Yama).
10. (Similarly) Bhīma from Vāta (God of wind), Arjuna from Śakra (were born) and through Mādri, Nakula and Sahadeva from the Aśvini kumāra. Pāṇḍu died when (he was) in union with Mādrī.37

*Sadness is ugly because of our rejection of it; it is not ugly in itself. Once you accept it, you will see how beautiful it is, how relaxing, how calm and quiet, how silent. It has something to give that happinesscan never give. Sadness gives depth. Happiness gives height. Sadness gives roots. Happiness gives branches. Happiness is like a tree going into the sky, and sadness is like the roots going down into the womb of the earth. Both are needed, and the higher a tree goes, the deeper it goes, simultaneously. The bigger the tree, the bigger will be its roots. In fact, it is always in proportion. That's its balance.*
*You cannot bring the balance. The balance that you bring is of no use. It will be forced. Balance comes spontaneously; it is already there. In fact, when you are happy, you become so excited that it is tiring. Have you watched? The heart immediately moves then into the other direction, gives you a rest. You feel it as sadness. It is giving you a rest, because you were getting too excited. It is medicinal, therapeutic. It is just as in the day you work hard and in the night you fall deeply asleep. *చక్కెర తనకు తాను తీపి కాదు. జీవుల నాలుకకు తీపి. నాలుక తనకు తాను తీపి కాదు. నాలుకపై చక్కెర పడినపుడు తీపి అనుభూతి కలుగును. ఇట్లు జీవుడు దేవుడే అయిననూ జీవుడిగా విడిపడి దేవునితో అనుసంధానము చెందిన మధురానుభూతి చెందును. అది యొక తీపి అనుభవము. తాదాత్మ్యము చెందును. దేవునితో యోగమున పొందు అనుభూతి అనందానుభూతికి పరాకాష్ఠ. దానిని బ్రహ్మానంద మందురు. తాను బ్రహ్మమే అయిపోయినచో యిక అనుభూతి యుండదు. శ్రీమాత ఈశ్వరునితో కూడియుండుట, బ్రహ్మముతో కూడి యుండుట చేయునని శాస్త్రములు తెలుపుచున్నవి.*
*అట్లు కూడి యుండి ఆమె శాశ్వత రసానందమున నున్నది. బ్రహ్మమనగా అకరృత్వ ధర్మము కలవాడు. అది తత్త్వము. తత్త్వము వుండుటయే గాని చేయునదేమియు లేదు. బ్రహ్మము సృష్టికి ఆవల యుండును. పరమై యుండును. అందులకే పరబ్రహ్మ మందురు. ఈశ్వరుడు కూడ బ్రహ్మమే. అతడు సృష్టి యందు వుండును. సృష్టికి స్వామి యతడు. అతని అధ్యక్షతనే సృష్టి జరుగును. సృష్టి మొత్తమునకు అతడే ప్రభువు. అతనికి కర్తృత్వ ధర్మ మున్నది. ఇట్టి ఈశ్వరునితో ఎప్పుడునూ కూడి యుండునది శ్రీమాత.*
