*తాత్పర్యము : మానవుడు స్వధర్మానుష్ఠానపరుడై తన హృదయము నందున్న పరమాత్మ సకల ప్రాణుల హృదయములలో యున్నట్లు అనుభవపూర్వకముగా తెలిసికొననంత వరకు, అతడు నా ప్రతిమాదుల యందు ఈశ్వర భావముతో నన్ను పూజించు చుండవలెను.*

*yāvan na veda sva-hṛdi sarva-bhūteṣv avasthitam*
*MEANING : Performing his prescribed duties, one should worship the Deity of the Supreme Personality of Godhead until one realizes My presence in his own heart and in the hearts of other living entities as well.*
*PURPORT : Worship of the Deity of the Supreme Personality of Godhead is prescribed herewith even for persons who are simply discharging their prescribed duties. There are prescribed duties for the different social classes of men—the brāhmaṇas, the vaiśyas, the kṣatriyas and the śūdras—and for the different āśramas—brahmacarya, gṛhastha, vānaprastha and sannyāsa. One should worship the Deity of the Lord until one appreciates the presence of the Lord in every living entity. In other words, one should not be satisfied simply by discharging his duties properly; he must realize his relationship and the relationship of all other living entities with the Supreme Personality of Godhead. If he does not understand this, then even though he discharges his prescribed duties properly, it is to be understood that he is simply laboring without profit.*
*The word sva-karma-kṛt in this verse is very significant. Sva-karma-kṛt is one who engages in discharging his prescribed duties. It is not that one who has become a devotee of the Lord or who engages in devotional service should give up his prescribed duties. No one should be lazy under the plea of devotional service. One has to execute devotional service according to his prescribed duties. Sva-karma-kṛt means that one should discharge the duties prescribed for him without neglect.*

*మహాబలుడగు జలంధరుడు కోపముతో వణుకుచున్న వాడై ధనస్సు నందు మరల బానములను సంధించగా, విష్ణువు దానిని కూడ విరుగగొట్టెను (22). వాసుదేవుడు దేవశత్రువగు జలంధరుని సంహరించ గోరి కోపముతో మరల బాణమును ధనస్సు నందు సంధించి సింహనాదమును చేసెను (23). రాక్షసరాజు, బలశాలి యగు జలంధరు అపుడు కోపముతో పెదవిని కొరికి తన బానముతో విష్ణువు యొక్క శార్‌ఙ్గథనస్సును విరుగగొట్టెను (24). భయంకరమగు పరాక్రమము గలవాడు, మహావీరుడు, దేవతలకు భయమును గొల్పువాడు నగు జలంధరుడు మరల మధుసూదనుని మిక్కిలి వాడియగు బాణముతో కొట్టెను (25).*
*లోకములను రక్షించే కేశవభగవానుడు విరిగిన ధనస్సు గలవాడై జలంధరుని సంహరించుటకై దివ్యమగు గదను ప్రయోగించెను (26). మండే అగ్నిని బోలియున్నది, అమోఘమగు గతి కలది అగు ఆ గద విష్ణువచే ప్రయోగింపబడి వెంటనే అతని దేహమునకు తగిలెను (27). బలముతో గర్వించినవాడు, మహారాక్షసుడునగు జలంధరునకు ఆ గత పుష్పమాలవలె తగిలి, లేశమైననూ అతనిని కదిలించలేక పోయెను (28). యుద్ధములో సహింప శక్యము కాని పరాక్రమము గలవాడు, దేవతలకు భయమును గొల్పువాడునగు జలంధరుడు అపుడు కోపించి అగ్నిహోత్రమువలె మిరుమిట్లు గొల్పు చున్న త్రిశూలమును విష్ణువు పైకి విసిరెను (29).*

22. The infuriated great Asura fixed an arrow again to his bow and split the arrow of Viṣṇu.
23. Vāsudeva fixed another arrow to his bow for the destruction of the enemy of the gods angrily and roared like a lion.
24. Biting his lips with anger, Jalandhara the powerful king of Asuras split the bow of Viṣṇu with his arrow.
25. The heroic Asura of fierce valour, terrible to the gods, hit Viṣṇu again with very sharp arrows.
26. With his bow split, the lord Viṣṇu, protector of the worlds, hurled his great mace for the destruction of Jalandhara.
27. That mace resembling a blazing flame when hurled by Viṣṇu moved with unerring aim and dashed against his body.
28. Though hit by it, the great haughty Jalandhara did not move even slightly as though he was hit by a flower-garland.
29. Then the infuriated Jalandhara, invincible in war, terrifying to the Asuras hurled a trident, resembling fire, at Viṣṇu.
30. Immediately Viṣṇu remembered the lotus-like feet of Śiva and cut the trident with his sword Nandaka.
31. When the trident was split, the lord of the Asuras leapt and rushed against Viṣṇu and hit him in the chest with his fist.
32. Without minding the pain in the least, the heroic Viṣṇu hit Jalandhara in the chest with his firm fist.

*The higher a thing is, the more fragile it is. It has to be protected. A rock will remain, but the flower will be gone. If you, throw a rock at the flower, the rock is not going to be hurt, but the flower will be destroyed. Love is very fragile, very delicate. One has to be very careful and cautious about it. You can do such harm that the other becomes closed, becomes defensive. If you are fighting too much, your partner will start escaping; he will become more and more cold, more and more closed, so that he is no longer vulnerable to your attack.*
*Then you will attack him some more, because you will resist that coldness. This can become a vicious circle. And that's how lovers fall apart, by and by. They drift away from each other, and they think that the other was responsible, that the other betrayed them. In fact, as I see it, no lover has ever betrayed anybody. It is only ignorance that kills love. Both wanted to be together, but somehow both were ignorant. Their ignorance played tricks on them and became multiplied.*
