*🌻. దీక్షా విధి - 4 🌻*
హరిని స్మరించుచు "నమో భూతేభ్యః" అని భూతబలిని కుశములపై ఇవ్వవలెను. పిదప వితానము (చందన) చేత, ఘటముచేత, లడ్డుల చేత మండలమును అలంకరించి, మండలముపై విష్ణువును పూజింపవలెను. పిమ్మట అగ్నిని పూజించి పద్మాసనము కట్టి కూర్చున్న éశిష్యులను పిలచి వారికి దీక్ష ఇవ్వవలెను.
విష్ణువును హస్తముచే ప్రోక్షించి, శిరస్సును స్పృశించి, క్రమముగా ప్రకృతి మొదలు వికృతులు వరకును గల, అధిభూతాధి దైవతములతో కూడిన సృష్ణినిగూర్చి మనస్సులో భావనచేసి దానిని మరల క్రమముగా ఉపసంహరించి, ఆసృష్టి యంతయు తన్మాత్రలగా అయిపోయినట్లును, జీవునితో సమానమైననట్లును భావన చేయవలెను.
పిమ్మట గురువు కుంభేశును ప్రార్థించి, సూత్రమును ప్రోగుచేసి, అగ్ని దగ్గరకు వచ్చి, దానిని అగ్ని పార్శ్వము నందుంచి, సృష్టికి అధిపతియైన ఆ అగ్నిని మూలమంత్రముతో నూరు అహుతులతోను, పిమ్మట పూర్ణాహుతితోను పూజించ వలెను. మూలమంత్రముతో నూరుసార్లు అభిమంత్రించిన తెల్లనిర జస్సుతోహృదయతాడనముచేయవలెను, వియోగపద సంయుక్తములను, పాదాదీంద్రియ ఘటితములను, బీజయుక్తములును అగు వాక్యములతో క్రమముగా పృథి వ్యాది తత్త్వ విశ్లేషణము చేసి హోమము చేవలెను.
పండితుడు అఖిలత త్త్వములకును నిలయమైన వహ్నియమందును, వ్యహృతుడగు హరియందును సమస్తమైన అర్చనామార్గము క్రమముగ ఉంచబడుచున్నట్లు స్మరిచంపవలెను. తాడనముచే విడదీసి, గ్రహించి, శమింపచేసి ప్రకృతిచే స్వీకరించిన, పూర్వోక్తమైన అగ్నియందు హోమము చేయవలెను.

*🌻 Mode of performing the initiation rite - 4 🌻*
34. He should then say “Salutations, (I offer) the food to the goblins on the kuśa grass”. Then having contemplated upon Hari, the sacrificial yard is adorned with multitudes of vessels of sweet meats.
35. Viṣṇu is then worshipped in a circular altar. Then after offering oblations to the fire, the pupils who are seated in the Padmāsana[6] posture are called upon and are initiated.
36-37. Having sprinkled water on Viṣṇu, and touching the head gradually, all the principles from the primordial down to the transformations as well as their presiding deities, the entire divine creation is conceived in the heart and all the subtle principles which have become one with the soul are absorbed gradually.
38-40. Then the preceptor has to pray the presiding deity of the pitcher and draw the thread. Then having come near the fire and placing it (the thread) by the side of the fire, he (should offer) hundred oblations to the passive Lord of creation with the principal mystic syllable. Then the preceptor having reached him, and having offered the final oblation, has to collect the white dust and strike the heart with that sanctified by the basic mystic syllable and ending with the syllables huṃ and phaṭ.
41. Then oblations are separately offered in order to the earth and other principles with mystic syllables made up by subtracting syllables.
42. When Hari has been uttered unto the fire which is the abode of all principles, the wiseman has to remember the method that is being followed there.
43. Separating by means of beating and collecting (them) one has to remain quiet. Then after collecting by the Primordial, an offering is made into the fire as instructed.

ఓ పరమాత్మా ! నేను సహింప శక్యము కాని ఆ తేజస్సును ధరించుటకు శక్తి లేని దాననై అగ్ని యందు నిక్షేపించితిని. నేను అబలను. నన్ను క్షమించవలెను (22).
అగ్ని ఇట్లు పలికెను -
ఓ శంకరా! పాపురము రూపములోనున్న నేను దుస్సహమగు నీ తేజస్సును ధరింప జాలక కైలాస పర్వతమునందు వెను వెంటనే నిక్షేపించితిని (23).
పర్వతము ఇట్లు పలికెను -
లోకములను రక్షించు ఓ శంకరా! పరమేశ్వరా! దుస్సహమగు నీ తేజస్సును సహింప జాలక నేను వెంటనే గంగ యందు నిక్షేపించితిని (24).
గంగ ఇట్లు పలికెను -
లోకములను రక్షించు ఓ శంకరా! ప్రభూ! నాథా! నీ తేజస్సును సహింపజాలని నేను చాల కంగారు పడి రెల్లుగడ్డి యందు నిక్షేపించితిని (25).
వాయువు ఇట్లు పలికెను -
ఓ శంభూ! ఆ తేజస్సు రెల్లు గడ్డి యందు వెంటనే బాటకుడాయెను. గంగానదీపావన తీరమునందు ఆ సుందర బాలకుడు మిక్కిలి ప్రకాశించెను (26).
సూర్యుడిట్లు పలికెను -
ఓ ప్రభూ! కాలచక్రముచే ప్రేరితుడనగు నేను ఏడ్చుచున్న బాలకుని చూచి రాత్రియందు అచట నిలిచి యుండుటకు సామర్ఢ్యము లేనివాడనగుటచే అస్తాద్రికి వెళ్లితిని (27).
చంద్రుడిట్లు పలికెను -
ఓ శంభూ! బాలుడు ఏడ్చు చుండుటను గాంచి కృత్తికలు తీసుకొని బదరికాశ్రమములోని తమ గృహములోనికివెళ్లిరి || (29)
జలాధి దేవత ఇట్లు పలికెను -
ఓ ప్రభూ! వారు సూర్యకాంతితో వెలుగొందే ఆ శివసుతుని ఏడ్చుచుండగా తీసుకొని వెళ్లిస్లన్యము నిచ్చి పెంచిరి (29).
సంధ్య ఇట్లు పలికెను -
ఆ కృత్తికలు అడవిలో దొరికిన ఆ బాలకుని ప్రేమతో పోషించి, ఆతనికి ఉత్సాహముతో కార్తీకుడని పేరు పెట్టిరి (30).
రాత్రి ఇట్లు పలికెను -
వారా బాలకుని తమ దృష్ఠి పథమునుండి తప్పుకోని విధముగా పెంచిరి. ఆబాలకుడు వారికి ప్రాణముల కంటె ఎక్కువ ప్రియమయ్యెను. ఎవరు శిశువును పోషించెదరో, వారికే ఆ శిశువు పుత్రుడగును (31).
దినాధి దేవత ఇట్లు పలికెను -
వారా బాలకునిచే శ్రేష్టులగు వస్త్రములను, అలంకారములను ఏరి కోరి ధరింపసజేసిరి. రుచ్యములు, శ్రేష్ఠములు అగు పదార్ధములను తినిపించిరి (32).

Gaṅgā said:—

He can diagnose if you have cancer or a thousand and one different diseases. But if you are healthy, the doctor has nothing to diagnose. In fact, medical science has no way to define what health is. At the most they can say that you are not ill, but they cannot be very definite about what health is. Health cannot be pigeonholed. Happiness is bigger than health. Health is the happiness of the body, happiness is the health of the soul.*
*So don't be bothered about clarity. We are not doing arithmetic here; forget all about it. Confusion is chaotic, certainly, even frightening--but the adventure is there and the challenge. So take the challenge. Focus more on happiness and forget about confusion, because confusion is bound to be there. When you are moving in new territory that you have never tasted before, your old patterns will be confused. Listen to happiness; let it be the indicator. Let happiness decide your direction, and then move into that.*
