*హనుమంతుని తండ్రి పేరు కేసరి. అంజన ఆ కేసరి యొక్క భార్య. అంజన యొక్క కుమారుడు ఆంజనేయుడు. హనుమంతుడు, అంజనాదేవి గర్భాన - వాయుదేవుడు - శివతేజస్సును ప్రవేశపెట్టడం వలన జన్మించాడు. అందుచేత పవనతనయుడు, మారుతి నందనుడు వంటి పేర్లు కలిగియున్నాడు.*

*శిశువుగా ఉన్నప్పుడే, ఆకలి కలిగియున్నప్పుడు, సూర్యుని ఫలమనుకొని, పొందుటకు ఎగరడం, సూర్యుని వద్డ హనుమను చూచి, రాహువు ఇంద్రునికి ఫిర్యాదు వంటి సందర్భాలలో, ఇంద్రుడు వచ్చి వజ్రాయుధం ప్రయోగించడం సంభవించింది. అప్పుడు ఆ వజ్రాయుధం ఆంజనేయుని దౌడ(హనుమ)కు తగిలి, స్వామి నిర్జీవుడై పడిపోవడం జరిగింది. అది చూసి, వాయుదేవుడు సకల జీవరాశి నుంచి బయటకు వచ్చి సమ్మె చేశాడు. అది తెలిసిన బ్రహ్మదేవుడు, దేవతలతో వచ్చి, ఆంజనేయుని పునర్జీవితుని చేశాడు.*
*వాయువుకి సంతోషం కలిగించడానికీ, భవిష్యత్తులో దేవతల గొప్పకార్యాన్ని మారుతి నిర్వహించడానికీ, దేవతలందఱినీ మారుతికి వరాలిమ్మన్నాడు బ్రహ్మదేవుడు. అప్పుడు,*
*1. ఇంద్రుడు: బంగారు పద్మహారమునిచ్చి, హనుమ అని నామమిడి, తన వజ్రాయుధము వలన ఏ హానీ కలుగదన్నాడు.*
*2. సూర్యుడు: తన తేజస్సులో నూఱోవంతు ఇస్తున్నాననీ, శైశవ దశనించీ విద్యార్జన స్థితి రాగానే, సకల శాస్త్ర జ్ఞానాన్నీ కలిగిస్తాననీ, తద్వారా వాక్చతురుడు కాగలడనీ, శాస్త్రజ్ఞానమందు హనుమతో సరితూగగలవాడు మరొకడుండడనీ అన్నాడు.*
*3. వరుణుడు: తన పాశము వలనగానీ, జలముల వలన గానీ, లక్షల కొలది సంవత్సరాల వరకూ మృత్యుభయం ఉండకుండా వరమిచ్చాడు.*
*4. యముడు: తన దండము వలన మృత్యువు కలగదనీ, ఎల్లప్పుడూ ఆరోగ్యభాగ్యాలతో వర్ధిల్లుతాడనీ, యుద్ధమునందు విషాదగ్రస్తుడు కాడనీ మారుతికి వరాలొసగాడు.*
*5. కుబేరుడు: సమరమునందు తన గద ఆంజనేయునికి ఎట్టి ఆపదను కలిగించదన్నాడు.*
*6. శంకరుడు: తన వలన గానీ, శూల పాశుపతాస్త్రాది తన ఆయుధాల వలనగానీ హనుమ వధ్యుడు కాడని వరమనుగ్రహించాడు.*
*7. విశ్వకర్మ: తాను నిర్మించిన దివ్యశస్త్రములలో ఏ ఒక్కటైననూ రణమందు వధింపజాలదనీ, చిరంజీవి అవుతాడనీ హనుమకి వరాలిచ్చాడు.*
*8. బ్రహ్మ: ఏ బ్రహ్మదండం చేతనూ వధ్యుడు కాడనీ, దీర్ఘాయువనీ మారుతికి వరాలిచ్చి, వాయుదేవునితో మారుతిని గూర్చి - శత్రువులను గడగడలాడించగలడనీ, - మిత్రులకు అభయప్రదాత అవుతాడనీ, - యుద్ధంలో శత్రువులకు అజేయుడై వర్ధిల్లుతాడనీ, - కోరుకొన్న రూపాలను పొందగలడనీ, - ఇష్టానుసారంగా అంతటా - వేగంగానూ, నెమ్మదిగానూ సంచరింపగలడనీ, - చిరస్థిరకీర్తితో వర్ధిల్లగలడనీ, - యుద్ధము నందు అతడొనర్చే వీరోచిత సాహసాద్భుత కృత్యాలన్నీ రావణ సంహారానికి కారకాలవుతూ, అవి రామునకు ప్రియము గూర్చుతాయనీ, లోకాలకు రోమాంచమునూ సంతోషాన్నీ కలిగిస్తాయనీ పేర్కొన్నాడు.*
*ఆ విధంగా సకల వరాలూ పొందిన శిశువైన మారుతిని, వాయుదేవుడు అంజనాదేవి వద్దకు తీసుకువచ్చి, ఆమెకు అప్పగించి, వరాలగూర్చి వివరించి వెళ్ళాడు. జాంబవంతుడు హనుమ శక్తిని పొగిడి సముద్ర లంఘనం చేయించాడు.*

ఓ పార్వతీ! నీకీ విధముగా పతివ్రతా ధర్మమును వర్ణించితిని. ఇపుడు నేను పతివ్రతలలోని భేదములను వర్ణించెదను. ప్రీతితో సావధానముగా వినుము (71). ఓ దేవీ! స్మరించి నంతనే పాపములను పోగొట్టే పతివ్రతలు ఉత్తమ మొదలగు భేదముచే నాల్గు తెరంగుల నున్నారని పెద్దలు చెప్పెదరు (72). ఉత్తమ, మధ్యమ, నికృష్ట, అతని కృష్ట అను నాల్గు విధముల పతివ్రతల లక్షణములను చెప్పెదను. సావధానముగా వినుము (73). ఓ మంగళ స్వరూపరాలా! ఏ స్త్రీ యొక్క మనస్సు నిత్యము స్వప్నములోనైనూ తన భర్తనే నిశ్చితముగా చూచునో, పరపురుషుని చూడదో, ఆమె ఉత్తమ అని చెప్ప బడినది (74).
ఓ పార్వతీ! ఏ స్త్రీ పరపురుషుని సద్బుద్ధితో తండ్రిని వలెగాని, సోదరుని వలెగాని, కుమారుని వలె గాని దర్శించునో, ఆమె మధ్యమ పతివ్రత అనబడును (75). ఓ పార్వతీ! స్వధర్మమును ఎరింగి మనస్సు చేననైననూ వ్యభిచరించని సుశీలయగు స్త్రీ నికృష్టపతివ్రత యనబడును (76). భర్త ఇంటిలో వారికి భయపడి వ్యభిచరించని స్త్రీ అధమ పతివ్రత యగునని ప్రాచీన విద్వాంసులు చెప్పెదరు (77). ఓ పార్వతీ ! ఈ నాల్గు విధముల పతివ్రతలు కూడా పాపములను పోగొట్టి, మానవులందరినీ పవిత్రులను చేసి ఇహపర సుఖముల నొసంగెదరు (78).
అత్రి భార్యయగు అనసూయ పాతివ్రత్య ప్రభావముచే త్రిమూర్తుల నర్థించి వారాహ శాపముచే మరణించిన బ్రాహ్మణుని ఒకనిని జీవింప చేసినది (79). ఓ పార్వతీ! నీవీ
సత్యము నెరింగి సర్వదా సర్వకామనల నీడేర్చు పతి సేవను ప్రీతితో ప్రతిదినము చేయవలెను (80). నీవు జగన్మాతవగు మహేశ్వరివి. నీ భర్త సాక్షాత్తుగా ఆ శివుడే. నిన్ను స్మరించు స్త్రీలు పతివ్రతలగుదురు (81). ఓ శివాదేవీ! ఈ ధర్మములను నీకు చెప్పబని యేమున్నది? అయిననూ, ఈనాడు లోకాచారముననుసరించి నీకు చెప్పి యుంటిని (82).
బ్రహ్మ ఇట్లు పలికెను-
ఆ బ్రాహ్మణస్త్రీ ఆమెతో ఇట్లు పలికి విరమించెను. శంకరునకు ప్రియురాలు, పర్వతునకు కుమార్తె యగు శివాదేవి ఆమెకు ప్రణమిల్లి మహానందమును పొందెను (83).
శ్రీ శివ మహాపురాణములో పతివ్రతా ధర్మవర్ణనమనే ఏబది నాల్గవ అధ్యాయము ముగిసినది (54).

*🌻 Description of the duties of the chaste wife - 7 🌻*
71. O daughter of the lord of mountains, thus the duty of a chaste wife is described to you. Now, listen to their classifications with attention and love.
72. O gentle lady, the chaste ladies can be divided into four classes. Even when they are remembered they dispel sins. The divisions comprise of the superior etc.
73. They are superior, middling, inferior and very inferior. I shall explain their characteristics. Listen with attention.
74. O gentle lady, she whose mind is not aware of any one else and who is conscious of her husband even in her dreams is the noblest of all.
75. O daughter of the mountain, she who sees another man as her father, brother or son with a clean conscience is the middling among chaste ladies.
76. O Pārvatī, she who ponders over her duty mentally and desists from going astray is inferior among the chaste. Of course she is pure in conduct.
77. She who remains chaste for fear of her husband or the family is very inferior among the chaste ladies, so say the ancient poets.
78. O Pārvatī, these four types of chaste ladies dispel sins. They sanctify all the worlds. They are delighted here and hereafter.
79. A brahmin who died due to the curse of Varāha (Boar), was at the request of the three deities, resuscitated by Atri’s wife (Anasūyā), thanks to the power of chastity.
80. O Śiva, O daughter of the mountain, knowing this well, you shall render service to your husband every day with pleasure as it bestows all desires.
81. You are the Goddess and the mother of the universe. Śiva Himself is your husband. By remembering you women become chaste.
82. O Pārvatī, O gentle lady, what avails mentioning all this to you. Still I mention this just to follow the worldly convention.
Brahmā said:—
83. Saying this, the brahmin lady stopped and bowed to her. Pārvatī, the beloved of Śiva, derived great pleasure.

వనస్పతులకు ప్లక్షము, అశ్వములకు ఉచ్ఛైఃశ్రవము ప్రభువలు తూర్పున సుధన్వ, దక్షిణమున శంఖపదుడు, పశ్చిమమున కేతుమంతుడు, ఉత్తరమున హిరణ్యరోమకుడును పాలకులు ఈ విధముగ అవాంతర సృష్టి (ప్రతి సర్గము ) చెప్పబడినది.

27. The Airāvata (was made the ruler) among the lords of elephants, bull of the kine and the tiger, of the animals, (and) Plakṣa (the Indian fig-tree) (as) the lord of trees.
28. And Uccaiḥśravas (was made the ruler) among the horses.[6] Sudhanvan (son ofVairāja Prajāpati) became the regent of the east, Śaṅkhapād (the son of Kardama Prajāpati) (the regent) of the south, Ketumat (son of Rajas) as the protector of the waters (on the west), Hiraṇyaromaka (son of Parjanya Prajāpati) on the Saumya (the north).

*🕉. బలహీనంగా లేనప్పుడు మాత్రమే బలంగా భావించే వ్యక్తులు చాలా మంది ఉన్నారు. కానీ ఆ బలం కేవలం ముఖభాగం, మభ్యపెట్టడం. బలహీనంగా ఉండి దానిని గుర్తించి అధిగమించే వ్యక్తులూ ఉన్నారు. 🕉*

*🕉 There are people who feel strong only when they are not vulnerable; but that strength is just a facade, a camouflage. Then there are people who are vulnerable but feel weak. 🕉*
*Those who feel weak when they are vulnerable cannot feel vulnerable for long: Sooner or later that weakness will make them so afraid that they will close up. So the right approach is to feel vulnerable and strong. Then you can remain vulnerable and each day your strength will grow, and you will become courageous enough to become more and more vulnerable. A really brave person is absolutely open-that is the criterion of courage. Only a coward is closed, and a strong person is as strong as a rock and as vulnerable as a rose, it is a paradox-and all that is real is paradoxical.*
*So always remember: When you feel something paradoxical, don't try to make it consistent, because that consistency will be false. Reality is always paradoxical: On the one hand you feel vulnerable, on the other hand you feel strong-that means a moment of truth has arrived. On the one hand you feel you don't know anything, on the other hand you feel you know all-a moment of truth has arrived. On the one hand you always feel one aspect, and on the other hand the exact opposite aspect, and when you have both these aspects together, always remember that something true is very close by.*

*కృత జ్ఞానము కలది శ్రీదేవి అని అర్ధము. ‘కృత జ్ఞాన’ మనగా క్రియా జ్ఞానము. క్రియాశక్తి వలననే సమస్తము అవతరించును. చేయుటకు జ్ఞానము కావలెను. ఏమి చేయవలెనో తెలియవలెను. క్రియా జ్ఞానము నందు ఇచ్ఛా జ్ఞానము లిమిడి యుండును. పరహితము చేయవలెను అనునది ఇచ్ఛ. ఎట్లు చేయవలెనో తెలియక చేసినచో పరహిత ఇచ్ఛ ఫలించదు. ఎట్లు చేయవలెనో తెలిసిననూ కూడ చేయుట జరగనిచో ఫలించదు. ఏమి చేయవలెనో తెలియుట చాలదు. ఎట్లు చేయవలెనో తెలిసిననూ చాలదు. చేయవలెను కదా! కేవలము చేయుట తెలిసి, ఎట్లు చేయ వలెనో తెలియనిచో ఫలము లేదు. ఏమి చేయవలెనో తెలియనిచో కూడ ఫలము లేదు.*
*ఇట్లు ఇచ్ఛా జ్ఞానములను తెలిసి చేయుటయే జ్ఞానము. అట్టి జ్ఞానము యొక్క స్వరూపమే శ్రీదేవి. కనుకనే ఆమె సృష్టి నిర్వహణమును నైపుణ్యముతో నిర్వర్తించు చుండును. పరమశివుడు జ్ఞాన స్వరూపుడు. అతడెప్పుడునూ తపస్సునందే యుండును. క్రియయం దాసక్తి తక్కువ. అత్యవసరమైనచో గాని క్రియలోనికి దిగిరాడు. అట్టి శివునితో శ్రీమాత క్రీడాప్రాయముగ జూదమాడునట. శ్రీమాత క్రియా జ్ఞానము కలది గనుక సర్వదా శివుని జయించు చుండెడిదట. శివుడు కూడ శ్రీమాత గెలుపును గమనించి సంతసించెడి వాడట. ఇది శ్రీమాత క్రియా జ్ఞానమునకు తార్కాణము.*
