*ఓ అర్జునా! నేను సర్వజీవ హృదయములందు వసించి యున్నట్టి పరమాత్మను. సర్వజీవులకు ఆదిమధ్యాంతములు నేనే అయి యున్నాను.*
🌷. భాష్యము :
*ఈ శ్లోకమున అర్జునుడు గూడాకేశునిగా సంబోధింప బడినాడు. అనగా నిద్ర యనెడి అంధకారమును జయించినవాడని భావము. అజ్ఞానాంధకారమున నిద్రించువారికి ఏ విధముగా భగవానుడు భౌతిక, ఆధ్యాత్మికజగత్తులందు వివిధరీతుల ప్రకటితిమగునో అవగతము చేసికొనుట సాధ్యము కాదు. కనుకనే శ్రీకృష్ణుడు అర్జునుని ఆ విధముగా సంబోధించుట ప్రాముఖ్యమును సంతరించుకొన్నది. అర్జునుడు అంధకారమును ఆవలయుండుట వలననే శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుడు అతనికి వివిధభూతులను వివరించుటకు అంగీకరించెను. తాను తన ప్రధానవిస్తారము ద్వారా సమస్త విశ్వమునకు ఆత్మనై యున్నానని శ్రీకృష్ణుడు తొలుత అర్జునునకు తెలుపుచున్నాడు.*
*సృష్టికి పూర్వము శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుడు తన ప్రధానాంశము ద్వారా పురుషావతారములను దాల్చగా అతనిని నుండియే సర్వము ఆరంభమయ్యెను. కనుక అతడే ఆత్మయై (విశ్వపు మూలతత్త్వమైన మహతత్త్వమునకు ఆత్మ) యున్నాడు. అనగా భౌతికశక్తి యనునది సృష్టికి కారణము కాదు. వాస్తవమునకు మహావిష్ణువు మహాతత్త్వమనెడి సంపూర్ణ భౌతికశక్తి యందు ప్రవేశించును. అతడే దానికి ఆత్మయై యున్నాడు. సృష్టింపబడిన విశ్వములలో ప్రవేశించు మహావిష్ణువు తిరిగి పరమాత్మగా ప్రతిజీవి యందును ప్రకటమగును. ఆత్మ ఉనికి కారణముగా దేహము నిలిచియుండుననియు, ఆత్మ ఉనికి లేనిచో దేహము వృద్ధినొందదనియు మనము అనుభవపుర్వకముగా నెరిగియున్నాము. అదే విధముగా పరమాత్ముడైన శ్రీకృష్ణుడు ప్రవేశించినంతనే భౌతికసృష్టియు వృద్ధినొందదు. కనుకనే “సర్వవిశ్వములందు భగవానుడు పరమాత్మ రూపున వసించియున్నాడు” అని సుబలోపనిషత్తు నందు తెలుపబడినది (ప్రకృత్యాదిసర్వభుతాంతర్యామీ సర్వశేషీ చ నారాయణ: ).*

🌷 Translation :
*I am the Supersoul, O Arjuna, seated in the hearts of all living entities. I am the beginning, the middle and the end of all beings.*
🌹 Purport :
*In this verse Arjuna is addressed as Guḍākeśa, which means “one who has conquered the darkness of sleep.” For those who are sleeping in the darkness of ignorance, it is not possible to understand how the Supreme Personality of Godhead manifests Himself in various ways in the material and spiritual worlds. Thus this address by Kṛṣṇa to Arjuna is significant. Because Arjuna is above such darkness, the Personality of Godhead agrees to describe His various opulences. Kṛṣṇa first informs Arjuna that He is the soul of the entire cosmic manifestation by dint of His primary expansion. Before the material creation, the Supreme Lord, by His plenary expansion, accepts the puruṣa incarnation, and from Him everything begins.*
*Therefore He is ātmā, the soul of the mahat-tattva, the universal elements. The total material energy is not the cause of the creation; actually the Mahā-viṣṇu enters into the mahat-tattva, the total material energy. He is the soul. When Mahā-viṣṇu enters into the manifested universes, He again manifests Himself as the Supersoul in each and every entity. We have experience that the personal body of the living entity exists due to the presence of the spiritual spark. Without the existence of the spiritual spark, the body cannot develop. Similarly, the material manifestation cannot develop unless the Supreme Soul, Kṛṣṇa, enters. As stated in the Subāla Upaniṣad, prakṛty-ādi-sarva-bhūtāntar-yāmī sarva-śeṣī ca nārāyaṇaḥ: “The Supreme Personality of Godhead is existing as the Supersoul in all manifested universes.”*

*తర్జనీ మూలము పితృతీర్థము. కనిష్ఠికామూలము ప్రజాపతి తీర్థము అంగుష్ఠ మూలము బ్రహ్మతీర్థము. హస్తాగ్రభాగము దేవతా తీర్థము. కుడి అరచేయి అగ్నితీర్థము. ఎడమ అరచెయ్యి సోమతీర్థము. అంగుళుల అన్ని పర్వములును, సంధులును ఋషితీర్థము. సంధ్యాధ్యానానంతరము, శివమంత్రములచే జలాశయమును శివస్వరూపము చేసి, ''ఆపోహిస్ఠా'' ఇత్యాది సంహితామంత్రములతో, ఆ జలముతో మార్జనము చేసికొనవలెను. ఎడమ చేతిలో తీర్థజలము పోసికొని కుడి చేతితో మంత్రపఠన పూర్వకముగ శిరస్సుపై ఆ నీరు చల్లుకొనుటకు మార్జన మని పేరు.*

28. The midday twilight should be contemplated as Vaiṣ-ṇavi, white (in complexion), seated with crossed-legs on the Garuḍa, holding conch and disc in the left arm and the mace and abhaya (mudrā) (hand showing protection) in the right hand.
29. Raudrī should be meditated upon as seated on the lotus and as riding the bull, possessing three eyes, decorated by the moon and holding trident and rosary in the right arm and the protective posture (abhaya) and mace in the left arm.
30. The twilight is the witness of deeds of men. The soul (should be known) as following its radiance. The fourth twilight is that of the learned and it is meditated upon in the night.
31. The supreme sandhyā is declared as that which remains. invisible in the cavities situated at the heart, and the upper end of the nose and which secures the realization of Śiva.
32. The root of the fore-finger (is known to be) the pitṛtīrtha and that of the little finger as that of Prajāpati. The root of the thumb (is known to be) that of Brahmā, while the forepart of the hand is held sacred for all gods.
33. It is the place of sacred fire on the palm of the left hand, and the soma on that of the right hand. All the tips and folds on the fingers (are sacred) for the sages.
34. After having got ready the sacred waters for Śiva with the mantras pertaining to Śiva, one should sprinkle that water with the saṃhitā mantras.

*The problem of human existence and activity is really the problem of the human consciousness. Or, to put it more precisely, the problem is that man is not able to realise that this is the problem. Knowledge and activity are the fruits of education. But neither knowledge nor activity is unconcerned with an object outside. This would mean that our relationship with external things is the deciding factor in judging the worth of our knowledge and the value of our activities.*
*This, again, suggests that the worth and value of our education lies in the meaning attached to our relationship with the objects of our study. The whole question is one of subject-object relation. There is no such thing as either knowledge or effort unrelated to an aim or objective. If this aim is to be missed, if the purpose is to go out of one’s mind, if the object is to be separated from the subject, if the content of consciousness is to be cut off from consciousness, then the result is obvious. And this is exactly what has happened to our educational methods, to the entire process of education today.*

*His unfounded apprehension is known as ūnatā represented by the next letter ū (ऊ). Ūnatā means too little. Ūnatā is His sixth movement. As a result of this unfounded apprehension and in order to recoup His consciousness and bliss, He begins to concentrate within. This happens through four more movements. First, He develops intention to concentrate within and in the next stage this intention transforms into affirmation of intention. These two stages are represented by letters ṛ (ऋ) and ṝ (ॠ). The next two stages are intention to internalise His consciousness and the movement after that is an affirmation of this intention. The first stage is intention and the second stage is implementation. These two stages are represented by letters ḷṛi (ऌ + ऋ) and ḹṝī (ॡ + ॠ).*
