హయగ్రీవుడు చెప్పెను.
బ్రహ్మదేవా! ఇపుడు నేను పిండిక లక్షణము చెప్పెదను పిండిక పొడవు ప్రతిమతో సమానముగ నుండును. ఎత్తు మాత్రము ప్రతిమలో సగముండును. పిండికకు అరువది నాలుగు కోష్ఠకము లేర్పరచి, క్రింది రెండు పంక్తులు విడచి, దానిపైన ఉన్న కోష్ఠము నాలుగు వైపుల, రెండు పార్శ్వములందును, లోపలి నుండి తుడిచి వేయవలెను. అట్లే పై రెండు పంక్తులు విడచి దాని క్రిందనున్న కోష్టమును లోపలినుండి తుడిచి వేయవలెను. ఈ విధముగ రెండు పార్శ్వములందును చేయవలెను. రెండు పార్శ్వముల మధ్యనున్న రెండు రెండు చతుష్కములను గూడ తుడిచివేయవలెను.
పిమ్మట దానిని నాలుగు భాగములుగా విభజించి పై రెండు పంక్తులను మేఖలగా గ్రహించి, దాని ప్రమాణములో సగము ప్రమాణముండునట్లు దాని యందు గొయ్యి తవ్వవలెను. రెండు పార్శ్వ భాగములందును సమానముగ ఒక్కొక్క భాగము విడిచి జైటపదమును నాలి (తూము) నిర్మించుటకై విడవలెను. దానియందు తూమునిర్మింపవలెను. మూడు భాగములలోని ఒక భాగమునకు ముందు నీరు ముందుకు పోటవుటకై మార్గముండవలెను.
వివిధాకారముగల ఈ పిండికకు ''భద్ర'' అని పేరు. లక్ష్మీదేవి ప్రతిమ ప్రమాణము ఎనిమిది జానలుండవలెను. ఇతర దేవుల ప్రతిమలు కూడ ఇట్లే ఉండవలెను. రెండుకను బొమ్మలును నాసిక కంటె ఒక యవ అధికముగా ఉండవలెను. నాసిక వాటి కంటె ఒక యవ తక్కువ ఉండవలెను. ముఖ గోలకము నేత్ర గోలకముకంటె పెద్దదిగా ఉండవలెను. ఇది ఎత్తుగాను, వంకర టింకరగాను ఉండకూడదు. నేత్రములు పెద్దవిగా మూడును పావుయవల ప్రమాణములో నుండ వలెను.

*🌻Characteristics of pedestals and details relating to images - 1 🌻*
The Lord said:
1. I shall describe the characteristics of the pedestal. The length is the same as that of the image. The height (should be) half of it. It should have sixty-four folds.
2. Leaving two rows at the bottOṃ, the other parts should be polished on either side as also inside.
3. Leaving two rows at the top, the other parts are polished evenly on either side and inside.
4. The rectaṅgular space in between these should then be polished. The first two rows should be divided into four parts by a wise man.
5-6. The girdle should be equal to one such part. The indent should be half that. Leaving one such part evenly on either side a wise man should leave on the exterior a breadth of a foot. The water drains should be at the top of each one of the three-parts.
7. This auspicious and excellent pedestal (has been described) relating to its manifold ways (of construction). The (images of the)goddess Lakṣmī and other feminine forms should be made (to measure) eight tālas in length.
8. The eye brows should be more than a yava (in length). The nose (should be) less than a yava (in length). The mouth (should measure) more than a small ball well distributed above and below.
9. The eye should be made long (measuring) three parts of a yava less than three yavas. The breadth of the eyes should be made half of it.

*రాత్రి నిద్రకు ఉపక్రమించేటప్పుడు, మంచం మీద పడుకుని, మీ రెండు చేతులను నాభికి రెండు అంగుళాలు క్రిందికి ఉంచి, కొద్దిగా నొక్కండి. అప్పుడు లోతుగా ఊపిరి పీల్చుకోవడం ప్రారంభించండి మరియు శ్వాసతో కేంద్రం పైకి క్రిందికి వస్తున్నట్లు మీరు భావిస్తారు. మీరు కుంచించుకు పోతున్నట్లు మరియు కేవలం ఒక చిన్న బిందువుగా, చాలా కేంద్రీకృత శక్తిగా ఉన్నట్లుగా మీ మొత్తం శక్తిని అక్కడ అనుభూతి చెందండి. ఇలా పది, పదిహేను నిముషాలు చేసి, తర్వాత నిద్రపోండి. ఇలా చేయడం వల్ల మీరు నిద్రపోతే, ఆ నిద్ర చాలా ఉపయోగకరంగా ఉంటుంది.*
*అప్పుడు రాత్రంతా ఆ కేంద్రీకరణ కొనసాగుతుంది. మళ్లీ మళ్లీ అపస్మారక స్థితిలోకి వెళ్లినప్పుడు అది అక్కడే కేంద్రీకృతమై ఉంటుంది. కాబట్టి మీకు తెలియకుండానే రాత్రంతా మీరు కేంద్రంతో లోతైన పరిచయంతో అనేక విధాలుగా వుంటారు. నిద్ర అయి పోయినట్లు అనిపించిన క్షణం, వెంటనే కళ్ళు తెరవకండి. మళ్ళీ మీ నాభి క్రింద మీ చేతులను ఉంచండి, కొద్దిగా నెట్టండి మరియు శ్వాస ప్రారంభించండి; మళ్ళీ స్వీయ కేంద్రం అనుభూతిని చెందండి. ఇలా పది లేదా పదిహేను నిమిషాలు చేసి లేవండి. ప్రతి రాత్రి, ప్రతి ఉదయం ఇలా చేయండి, మూడు నెలల్లో మీరు పూర్తిగా మీ స్వీయ కేంద్రంతో ఏకత్వాన్ని అనుభూతి చెందుతారు.*

*🕉. If you feel a sort of wavering left and right and you don't know where your center is, that simply shows that you are no longer in contact with your hara, so you have to create that contact. 🕉*
*In the night when you go to sleep, lie down on the bed and put both your hands two inches below the navel, and press a little. Then start breathing deeply, and you will feel that center coming up and down with the breathing. Feel your whole energy there as if you are shrinking and shrinking and shrinking and just existing there as a small center, as very concentrated energy. Just do this for ten, fifteen minutes, and then fall asleep. If you fall asleep doing this, it will be helpful.*
*Then the whole night that centering persists. Again and again the unconscious goes and centers there. So the whole night without your knowing, you will be coming in many ways in deep contact with the center. In the morning, the moment that you feel that sleep has gone, don't open your eyes right away. Again put your hands below your navel, push a little, and start breathing; again feel the hara. Do this for ten or fifteen minutes and then get up. Do this every night, every morning, within three months you will start feeling centered.*
