విష్ణువు ఇట్లు పలికెను--
మహా దేవా! పరమేశ్వరా! లోపల ఏమి చేయుచున్నావు? తారకాసురునిచే పీడితులై నిన్ను శరణు పొందిన దేవతలనందరినీ రక్షించుము (59).
ఓ మునీశ్వరా! విష్ణువు నాతో దేవతలతో గూడి ఈ తీరున శంభుని పరి పరి విధముల స్తుతిస్తూ తారకునిచే పీడింపబడిన దేవతలతో సహా బిగ్గరగా రోదించెను (60). ఓ మునీశ్వరా! అచట రాక్షస పీడితులైన దేవతల దుఃఖము శివుని స్తుతితో మిళితమై కోలాహల మేర్పడెను (61).

*🌻. కుండ నిర్మాణాగ్ని కార్యాది విధి -2 🌻*
హోమము చేయుటకై చేయు ప్రమాణము లేదు పండ్రెండు అంగుళముల ప్రమాణము గల సృక్కును చేయించవలెను. దాని మూలభాగము చతురస్రముగా ఏడు లేదా ఐదు అంగుళములు ఉండవలెను. దాని మధ్యయందు త్రిభాగమున అందమైన, వర్తులాకార మైనగర్తము (గొయ్యి) ఉండవలెను.
అడ్డముగా, పై భాగమున సమముగా ఆ గర్తము నిర్మించి పైన అర్ధాంగుళ భాగమును శోధించవలెను. (చెక్కి నున్నగా చేయవలెను). నాల్గవ వంతు అంగుళమును మిగిలిన అర్ధములో అర్థమును కూడ శోధించవలెను. మిగిలిని అర్ధముచే గుర్తమునకు రమ్యమైన మేఖలను ఏర్పరుపవలెను.
త్రిభాగవిస్తారము కలదియు, అంగుష్ఠ మంత ఆయతు మైనదియు అగు కంఠమును చేయవలెను. దాని అగ్రమునందు నాలుగు లేదా ఐదు అంగుళముల ప్రమాణము గల ముఖ ముండవలెను. దాని మధ్యము ఆరు అంగుళముల ప్రమాణ ముండవలెను. దాని ఆయామము కూడా అంతయే ఉండి మధ్యమున పల్లమై అందముగా ఉండవలెను. దాని కంఠదేశమునందు చిటికెనవ్రేలు ప్రవేశించు నంత రంధ్ర ముండవలెను. మిగిలిన కుండము ( స్రుక్కు/ముఖము) అభిరుచి ననుసరించి విచిత్రముగ చేయవలెను.
స్రువము దండముతో సహా చేయి పొడ వుండవలెను. కొంచెము పంకమునందు ఆవు పాదము దిగిన లోతు ఎంట్లుండులో ఆ విధముగా అందమైన, రెండు అంగుళముల వృత్తము చేయవలెను.
అగ్నికుండమును అలికి, అంగుళముప్రమాణము గల వజ్రనాసికాలేఖను గీయవలెను. అది ఉత్తరాగ్ర మగు మొదటి రేఖ. దానిపై పూర్వాభిముఖములైన రెండు రేఖలు గీయవలెను. వాటి మధ్య దక్షిణాదిక్రమమున మూడు రేఖలు గీయవలెను.
మంత్రవేత్త ఈ విధముగా రేఖలు గీసి, ప్రణవ ముచ్చరించును నీళ్ళు చల్లి, ఓంకారము నుచ్చరించుచు పీఠమును కల్పించి దానిపై మూర్తిమతి యాగు వైష్ణవీశక్తిని అలంకరించి, విష్ణువును స్మరించుచు అగ్నిని ఉంచవలెను. 20

*🌻 Mode of constructing the sacrificial pit and the oblations unto fire - 2🌻*
10. (In pits of) circular (shape) the girdles would be of the shape of the petals of a lotus. The ladle for the sake of oblation is to be made of the size of an arm.
11. Then one has to make (ready) a site (of the length) of thirteen thumbs and four (in breadth). A pit of three-fourths (of the site) is dug and a beautiful circle (is made).
12-13. One has to purify (the space) outside the pit evenly, horizontally and upwards (to the extent of) half a thumb (and) one-fourth of a thumb. A beautiful boundary line is to be made with the remaining (space) (around) the pit.
14-15. Or it may be half a thumb more. The mouth would be at the front (having) a width of four or five thumbs. Its central part might be three times two thumbs and beautiful. The extent (on all sides) (might be) of equal (measurement) (and) its central portion is lowered.
16. There must be a hole at the neck portion (of such a size) that the little finger would enter. The other pit should be beautifully made according to one’s liking.
17. The (sacrificial) ladle should have a handle of the length of one hand. A beautiful spoon (having) circumference of two thumbs has to be made.
18-19. Just as the cow’s foot (would) sink in a little mud, so also after having drawn a line (of the length) of a thumb.(known as) vajranāsikā, (one has to draw) first a line with a fine tip, (then) two lines between it and the east (and) then three lines in the middle from the south onwards in order.
20. Having drawn (the lines), (and) consecrating, with the syllable Om, one who knows the mantras, has to make a seat in which the energy of Viṣṇu rests.
