🌷. తాత్పర్యం :
*నేను ఈ జగత్తునకు తండ్రిని, తల్లిని, పోషకుడను, పితామహుడను అయియున్నాను. జ్ఞానలక్ష్యమును, పవిత్రము చేయువాడను, ఓంకారమును నేనే. ఋగ్వేదము, సామవేదము,యజుర్వేదములు కూడా నేనే.*
🌷. భాష్యము :
*స్థావరజంగమాత్మకమైన సమస్తసృష్టి శ్రీకృష్ణుని శక్తి యొక్క వ్యక్తీకరణమై యున్నది. ప్రస్తుత భౌతికస్థితిలో మనము శ్రీకృష్ణుని తటస్థశక్తులేయైన వివిధజీవులతో వివధ సంబంధములను ఏర్పరచుకొనియున్నాము. ప్రకృతి కారణముగా అట్టి జీవులలో కొందరు మనకు తండ్రిగా, తల్లిగా, తాతగా, సృష్టికర్తగా గోచరింతురు. కాని వాస్తవమునకు అట్లు గోచరించు వారందరును శ్రీకృష్ణుని అంశలే. అనగా తల్లి, తండ్రి ఆది వివిధరూపములలో గోచరించునది శ్రీకృష్ణుడే గాని వేరెవ్వరును కాదు. ఈ శ్లోకమునందలి “ధాత” యను పదమునకు “సృష్టికర్త” యని భావము. మన తల్లిదండ్రులే గాక, సృష్టికర్త, పితామహి, పితామాహాదులు సైతము శ్రీకృష్ణుడే. వాస్తవమునకు శ్రీకృష్ణుని అంశలైయున్నందున ప్రతిజీవియు కృష్ణునితో సమానమే. కనుకనే వేదములన్నియును శ్రీకృష్ణుని వైపునకే కేంద్రీకరింపబడియున్నవి.*
*తత్కారణముగా మనము వేదముల నుండి ఏది తెలియ యత్నించినను అది శ్రీకృష్ణపరజ్ఞానమును పొందుటలో పురోగతియే యగును. మన స్థితి పవిత్రపరచు జ్ఞానము కూడా శ్రీకృష్ణుడే. అదే విధముగా వేదంనియమములను అవగతము చేసికొనుట యందు జిజ్ఞాసువైనవాడు సైతము శ్రీకృష్ణుని అంశయే. కనుక అతడును శ్రీకృష్ణుడే. వేదమంత్రములందు ప్రణవమని పిలువబడు పవిత్ర ఓంకారము కూడా శ్రీకృష్ణుడే. సామవేదము, యజుర్వేదము, ఋగ్వేదము మరియు అథర్వవేదములందలి అన్ని శ్లోకములలో ఓంకారము మిక్కిలి ప్రధానమగుటచే దానిని శ్రీకృష్ణునుగా అవగాహనము చేసికొనవలెను.*

17. pitāham asya jagato mātā dhātā pitāmahaḥ
vedyaṁ pavitram oṁ-kāra ṛk sāma yajur eva ca
🌷 Translation :
*I am the father of this universe, the mother, the support and the grandsire. I am the object of knowledge, the purifier and the syllable oṁ. I am also the Ṛg, the Sāma and the Yajur Vedas.*
🌹 Purport :
*The entire cosmic manifestations, moving and nonmoving, are manifested by different activities of Kṛṣṇa’s energy. In the material existence we create different relationships with different living entities who are nothing but Kṛṣṇa’s marginal energy; under the creation of prakṛti some of them appear as our father, mother, grandfather, creator, etc., but actually they are parts and parcels of Kṛṣṇa. As such, these living entities who appear to be our father, mother, etc., are nothing but Kṛṣṇa. In this verse the word dhātā means “creator.”*
*Not only are our father and mother parts and parcels of Kṛṣṇa, but the creator, grandmother and grandfather, etc., are also Kṛṣṇa. Actually any living entity, being part and parcel of Kṛṣṇa, is Kṛṣṇa. All the Vedas, therefore, aim only toward Kṛṣṇa. Whatever we want to know through the Vedas is but a progressive step toward understanding Kṛṣṇa. That subject matter which helps us purify our constitutional position is especially Kṛṣṇa. Similarly, the living entity who is inquisitive to understand all Vedic principles is also part and parcel of Kṛṣṇa and as such is also Kṛṣṇa. In all the Vedic mantras the word oṁ, called praṇava, is a transcendental sound vibration and is also Kṛṣṇa. And because in all the hymns of the four Vedas – Sāma, Yajur, Ṛg and Atharva – the praṇava, or oṁ-kāra, is very prominent, it is understood to be Kṛṣṇa.*

*హోమము కొరకు ఇసుకతో ఒకటన్నర హస్తము విస్తారము గల, చతురస్రము, సుందరము అగు వేదిని ఏర్పరుపవలెను. ఎనిమిది దిక్కులందును. యథాస్థానమున కలశము లుంచవలెను. ఆ పూర్వాది కలశలకు ఎనిమిది రంగులు వేయవలెను. పిమ్మట అగ్నిని వేదిపై స్థాపించి, కుశలతో సంస్కారము చేసి 'త్వమగ్నేద్యుభిః" అను మంత్రముతోను, గాయత్రీ మంత్రముతోను సమిధులను హోమము చేయవలెను. అష్టాక్షరమంత్రముతో నూట ఎనిమిది అజ్యాహుతులుచేసి, పూర్ణహుతి ఇవ్వవలెను.*
*పిమ్మట నూరు పర్యాయములు మూలమత్రము జపించి అభిమంత్రించిన శాంత్యుదకమును మామిడి చిగుళ్ళతో ఇష్టదేవత శిరస్సుపై చల్లవలెను. ఆ సమయమున "శ్రీచ్చ లక్ష్మీశ్చ" ఇత్యాది మంత్రము పఠింపవలెను. "ఉత్తిష్ఠ బ్రహ్మణస్పతే" అను మంత్రముతో ప్రతిమనుపైకి ఎత్తి, బ్రహ్మ రథముపై నుంచి, "తద్విష్ణో" ఇత్యాదిమంత్రము పఠించుచు దేవాలయము వైపు తీసికొని వెళ్ళవలెను. అక్కడ శ్రీహరి ప్రతిమను పల్లకీపై ఎక్కించి నగరమునందు, గీత-వాద్య వేదమంత్రాది ధ్వనులతో ఊరేగించి, తిరిగి దేవాలయద్వారమువద్దకు తీసికొనిరావలెను.*

*🌻Mode of installation of the image of Vāsudeva - 2 🌻*
8. The ground for kindling the sacrificial fire should be made ready with sand. An excellent site should be of the measure of a. cubit and a half on all sides.
9. The pitchers also should be placed in the eight directions commencing with the east. The consecrated fire should be brought in uttering the eight letters (described already).
10. The twigs should be offered into the fire with (the mantras)—tvam agne dyubhiḥ[1] and gāyatrī. Clarified butter should be offered with (the recitation of) eight letters, eight hundred times.
11. The appeasing water sanctified hundred times by the principal mantra should be sprinkled on the head of the image with (the recitation of) the hymn śrīśca te.[2]
12. The image should be lifted up with (the mantra) brahmajajñāna[3] and should be led to the temple with the mantra uttiṣṭha brahmaṇaṣpate[4] and tadviṣṇoḥ[5].
13. Lord Hari should be placed in a palanquin and carried towards the divine edifice accompanied by songs and vedic hymns. He should be held at the gates of the temple.
14. Lord Hari should be bathed with waters from eight auspicious pitchers by women and brahmins. Then the priest should worship the image with perfumes etc. and with the principal mantra[6].

*కావాల్సిన వస్తువులతో మనస్సు యొక్క సంపర్కం కారణంగా ఆనందం పుడుతుంది అనే భావన ప్రజల మనస్సులలో ఉంది. ఇది నిజం కాదనేది ఇక్కడ చెప్పబడిన గొప్ప విషయం. సంతోషం కేవలం మనసుకు కావాల్సిన వస్తువుతో సంపర్కం వల్ల ఏర్పడదు. వస్తువు పట్ల వాంఛనీయత కూడా మనస్సు యొక్క స్థితే. ఇది వస్తువు యొక్క ఆకృతి, లక్షణాల పట్ల మనస్సు ఏర్పరచుకున్న ఒక ఆకర్షణ.*
*మనస్సు అనేది చైతన్యం యొక్క ఒక అమరిక. మీరు దీనిని చైతన్యం యొక్క ఒక కేంద్రీకృత రూపం అని పిలవవచ్చు. చైతన్యం ద్వారా తీసుకోబడిన ఆకారం, అలలలో సముద్ర జలాలు తీసుకునే ఒక ఆకారం వంటిది. స్థలం మరియు సమయాలలో చైతన్యం యొక్క ఒక నిర్దిష్ట అమరికను మనస్సు అని చెప్పవచ్చు. అది మానవ మనస్సు అయినా లేదా మరేదైనా కావచ్చు.*

*There is a notion in the minds of people that happiness arises on account of the contact of the mind with desirable objects. That this is not true, is a great point that is made out here. Happiness does not merely arise on account of the contact of the mind with an object which is desirable. The desirability of the object is, again, a condition of the mind. It is a perception of the mind in the contour of the object, of certain characters which are necessitated by the mind. *
*The mind is a pattern of consciousness. You may call it a focused form of consciousness, a shape taken by consciousness, something like the shape the waters of the ocean may take in the surge of the waves. A particular arrangement of consciousness in space and time may be said to be a mind, whether it is a human mind or otherwise.*

*సత్యమంటే అనుభవం. సత్యం నమ్మకం కాదు. నమ్మకాలు ఎప్పుడూ అబద్ధాలే. అవి నీ జీవితాన్ని కొంత అనుకూలంగా మారుస్తాయి. అంతే అవి నెమ్మది పరుస్తాయి. సత్యం మెల్కొల్పుతుంది. మనిషికి నిద్రలోకి జారడం కాదు మేలుకోవడం కావాలి. మనిషి తరతరాలుగా మద్యానికి, యితర మత్తులకు బానిస. అనేకరకాలయిన మానసిక అభ్ఫిఆయాలకు బానిస. అవన్నీ సత్యాన్ని తప్పించుకోడానికే.*
*సత్యాన్ని తప్పించుకోవడమంటే దుఃఖాన్ని ఆహ్వానించడమే. బాధ నీకు ఒక రకమయిన సుఖాన్నిస్తుంది. కాని అది తెలివితక్కువతనం. అబద్ధాలు వదిలి సత్యాన్ని అందుకున్నపుడే ఆనందకరమైన జీవితం సంభవం. దురభిప్రాయాల్ని వదలినపుడే సత్యం ఆవిష్కారమవుతుంది. సత్యం ఆనందాన్ని తెస్తుంది. నా సమస్త ప్రయత్నం మిమ్మల్ని అన్వేషణలోకి పంపడం. సాధికారికమయిన పరిశీలన మనిషిని సత్యం దగ్గరకు తీసుకెళుతుంది. అపుడు ఆశీర్వాదము నీదే. ఆనందమూ నీదే.*

By persistent practice, ‘I am That’ gets firmed up and ultimately he becomes That Itself, paving way for dissolving ‘I am’ totally. There remains only ‘That’. Only in such a stage, super human powers as detailed in these sūtra-s are attained. When one transforms into Śiva, naturally he attains the powers of Śiva.*
