26. అన్యే త్వేవమజానన్త: శ్రుత్వాన్యేభ్య ఉపాసతే |
తేపి చాతితరన్త్యేవ మృత్యుం శ్రుతిపరాయణా: ||

🌷. తాత్పర్యం : ఇంకొందరు ఆధ్యాత్మికజ్ఞానముతో పరిచయము లేకున్నను ఇతరుల నుండి పరమపురుషుని గూర్చి శ్రవణము చేసి అతనిని పూజించుట నారంభింతురు. ప్రామానికుల నుండి శ్రవణము చేయు ప్రవృత్తిగలవారగుటచే వారును జనన,మార్గమును తరింప గలరు.

🌷. భాష్యము : ఆధునిక సమాజమునందు ఆధ్యాత్మిక విషయములను గూర్చిన విద్యయన్నది ఏ మాత్రము లేనందున ఈ శ్లోకము వారికి ప్రత్యేకముగా వర్తించును. ఆధునిక సమాజములో కొందరు నాస్తికులుగా, నిర్వీశ్వరవాదులుగా లేదా తత్త్వవేత్తలుగా గోచరించినను వాస్తవమునకు సరియైన తత్త్వజ్ఞానము ఎవ్వరికినీ లేదు. కనుక సాధారణ మనుజునకు సంబంధించినంత వరకు అతడు సజ్జనుడైనచో శ్రవణము ద్వారా పురోగతి నొందుటకు అవకాశము కలదు.

అట్టి శ్రవణ విధానము అత్యంత ముఖ్యమైనది. ఆధునిక జగములో కృష్ణభక్తి ప్రచారము చేసిన శ్రీచైతన్య మహాప్రభువు ఈ శ్రవణవిధానమునకు మిక్కిలి ప్రాధాన్యము నొసగిరి. ఏలయన ప్రామాణికులైన వారినుండి కేవలము శ్రవణము చేయుట ద్వారానే సామాన్యుడు పురోభివృద్ధిని పొందగలడని శ్రీచైతన్యమహాప్రభువు తెలిపియుండిరి.

26. anye tv evam ajānantaḥ śrutvānyebhya upāsate
te ’pi cātitaranty eva mṛtyuṁ śruti-parāyaṇāḥ

🌷 Translation : Again there are those who, although not conversant in spiritual knowledge, begin to worship the Supreme Person upon hearing about Him from others. Because of their tendency to hear from authorities, they also transcend the path of birth and death.

🌹 Purport : This verse is particularly applicable to modern society because in modern society there is practically no education in spiritual matters. Some of the people may appear to be atheistic or agnostic or philosophical, but actually there is no knowledge of philosophy. As for the common man, if he is a good soul, then there is a chance for advancement by hearing. This hearing process is very important.

Lord Caitanya, who preached Kṛṣṇa consciousness in the modern world, gave great stress to hearing because if the common man simply hears from authoritative sources he can progress, especially, according to Lord Caitanya, if he hears the transcendental vibration of Krishna chanting.

రత్నసారునితో జయంతుడు, వర్చసుల గణముతో వసువులు, దీప్తి మంతులిద్దరితో అశ్వనీదేవతలు, ధూమ్రునితో నలకూబరుడు (11), ధురంధరునితో ధర్ముడు, గణకాక్షునితో మంగళుడు, శోభాకారునితోవైశ్వానుడు, పిపిటునితో మన్మథుడు (12), గోకాముఖుడు, చూర్ణుడు, ఖడ్గాసురుడు, ధూమ్రుడు, సంహలుడు, విశ్వుడు, ప్రతాపి మరియు పలాశి అను వారితో పన్నెండుగురు ఆదిత్యులు ధర్మయుద్ధమును చేసిరి. శివునకు సాహాయ్యమును చేయుటకు వచ్చిన ఇతర దేవతలు రాక్షసులతో యుద్ధమును చేసిరి (13, 14).

పదకొండుగురు మహారుద్రులు, భయంకరులు, వీరులు, మహాబలశాలురునగు పదకొండుగురు రాక్షసులతో యుద్ధమును చేసిరి (15). ఉగ్రచుండుడు మొదలగు వారితో మహామణి, రాహువుతో చంద్రుడు, మరియు శక్రునితో బృహస్పతి ధర్మయుద్ధమును చేసిరి (16). నందీశ్వరుడు మొదలగు వారందరు ఆ మహాయుద్ధములో దానవవీరులతో యుద్ధమును చేసిరి. విస్తారభయముచే ఆ వివరములు వేర్వేరుగా చెప్పబడుట లేదు (17).

అపుడు శంభుడు పటవృక్షమూలనందు కాశీ దేవితో, మరియు కుమారునితో కలిసి వేచియుండెను. ఓ మునీ! ఆ రెండు మహాసైన్యములలోని అందరు నిరంతరముగా యుద్ధమునకు చేయుచుండిరి (18). శంఖచూడుడు రత్నభూషణముల నలంకరించుకొని కోటి మంది దానవులు చుట్టూచేరి యుండగా సుందరమగు రత్నసింహాసనముపై ఉపవిష్టుడై యుండెను (19).

12. Dharma fought with Dhurandhara; Maṅgala with Gaṇakākṣa; Vaiśvana with Śobhākara and Manmatha with Pipiṭa.

13-14. The twelve sun gods fought with the Asuras—Gokāmukha, Cūrṇa, Khaḍga, Dhūmra, Samhala, the valorous Viśva and Palāśa. The other gods assisting Śiva fought righteously with the other Asuras.

15. The eleven Mahārudras[1] fought with the eleven terrible Asuras of great power and valour.

16. Mahāmaṇi fought with Ugracaṇḍa and others. The god Moon fought with Rāhu and Jīva fought with Śukra.

17. Nandīśvara and the rest fought with leading Dānavas in the great battle. This is not being explained separately.

18. O sage, then Śiva stayed at the foot of the Banyan tree along with Kālī and his son. The hosts of the two armies fought continuously against each other.

19. Decorated with gemset ornaments, Śaṅkhcūḍa sat on his gemset throne of great beauty attended upon by a crore Dānavas

🕉 ఈ మధ్యే నేను జీన్-పాల్ సార్త్రే వాక్యాన్ని చదువుతున్నాను. జీవితం రైలులో నిద్రపోతున్న పిల్లవాడిలాంటిది. టికెట్ చెక్ చేయాలనుకున్న ఇన్స్పెక్టర్ లేపితే పిల్లవాడికి టికెట్ లేదు మరియు దాని కోసం చెల్లించడానికి తన వద్ద డబ్బు లేదు. 🕉

పిల్లవాడు ఎక్కడికి వెళ్తున్నాడో, తన గమ్యం ఏమిటో, రైలులో ఎందుకు వెళ్తున్నాడో కూడా అస్సలు తెలియదు. మరియు చివరిగా, పిల్లవాడు ఎందుకు గుర్తించలేడంటే, అసలు తానుగా రైలులో ఉండాలని నిర్ణయించుకోలేదు. మరి అక్కడ ఎందుకు ఉన్నాడు? ఈ పరిస్థితి ఆధునిక మనస్సుకు మరింత సాధారణం అవుతోంది, ఎందుకంటే మనం ఏదో ఒకవిధంగా మూలంలో పెలికివేయబడ్డాం ఆ పైన అర్థం తెలియదు. మనిషికి అనిపిస్తుంది, 'ఎందుకు? నేను ఎక్కడికి వెళ్తున్నాను?' మీరు ఎక్కడికి వెళుతున్నారో మీకు తెలియదు మరియు మీరు రైలులో ఎందుకు ఉన్నారో మీకు తెలియదు. మీకు టిక్కెట్ లేదు మరియు దాని కోసం చెల్లించడానికి మీ వద్ద డబ్బు లేదు, అయినా మీరు రైలు నుండి బయటకు రాలేరు. అంతా గందరగోళంగా, పిచ్చిగా ఉన్నట్లుంది.

ప్రేమలో మూలాలు పోయినందున ఇలా జరిగింది. ప్రజలు ప్రేమలేని జీవితాలను గడుపుతున్నారు, ఏదో ఒకవిధంగా తమను తాము లాగుతున్నారు. కాబట్టి ఏమి చేయాలి? ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ ఒక రోజు రైలులో చిన్నపిల్లలా భావిస్తారని నాకు తెలుసు. అయినా జీవితం విఫలం కాదు, ఎందుకంటే ఈ పెద్ద రైలులో లక్షలాది మంది ప్రజలు గాఢనిద్రలో ఉన్నారు, కానీ మేల్కొని ఉన్నవారు ఎల్లప్పుడూ ఉంటారు. పిల్లవాడు శోధించి, నిద్రపోని మరియు గురక పెట్టనివారిని, స్పృహతో రైలులోకి ప్రవేశించిన వారిని, రైలు ఎక్కడికి వెళుతుందో తెలిసిన వారిని పట్టుకోవచ్చు. ఆ వ్యక్తికి సమీపంలో ఉండటం వల్ల, పిల్లవాడు మరింత స్పృహలోకి వచ్చే మార్గాలను కూడా నేర్చుకుంటాడు.

🍀 128. ASLEEP IN A JOURNY 🍀

🕉 Just the other day I was reading a sentence of Jean-Paul Sartre. He says that life is like a child who is asleep in a train and is awakened by an inspector who wants to check the ticket, but the child has no ticket and no money to pay for one. 🕉

The child is also not at all aware of where he is going, what his destination is and why he is on the train. And last but not the least, the child cannot figure it out, because he never decided to be on the train in the first place. Why is he there? This situation is becoming more and more common to the modern mind, because we are somehow uprooted, and meaning is missing. One simply feels, "Why? Where am I going?" You don't know where you are going, and you don't know why you are in the train. You don't have a ticket and you don't have the money to pay for it, and still you cannot get out of the train. Everything seems to be chaos, maddening.

This has happened because the roots in love have been lost. People are living loveless lives, somehow pulling themselves along. So what to do? I know that everybody one day feels like a child in a train. Yet life is not going to be a failure, because in this big train there are millions of people fast asleep, but there is always somebody who is awake. The child can search and find somebody who is not asleep and snoring, someone who has consciously entered the train, someone who knows where the train is going. Being in the vicinity of that person, the child also learns the ways of becoming more conscious.

ఒకరోజు వారి కుమారుడు ప్రస్తుత మహారాజు తల్లిదండ్రులను దర్శించటానికి వచ్చాడు. తండ్రి దేవతామందిరంలో ధ్యానంలో ఉన్నాడు. తల్లిదగ్గరకు వెళ్ళి ప్రార్థించాడు. ఇతడు "అమ్మా! మీరు శరీరాలు విడిచి వెళ్ళే సమయమైందని అప్పుడప్పుడు మీరన్న మాటల ద్వారా తెలుసుకున్నాను. మీరు వెళ్ళిన తర్వాత నేను దిక్కులేని వాణ్ణి అవుతాను. మీరు ఎప్పుడూ నాతో ఉండాలి. ఆ కోరిక తీరాలంటే నాన్న నాకు కుమారుడుగా పుట్టే వరం నాకు ప్రసాదించాలి. నీవు కూడా జన్మించి మళ్ళీ మీరు దంపతులుగా ఈ రాజ్యాన్ని పరిపాలించాలి" అని బ్రతిమలాడాడు. నాగావళి "నాన్నా! మా తరువాత ఏమిటి? మేము తరువాత ఏమి కావాలి? అన్నది మీ నాన్నగారు నిర్ణయిస్తారు. వారిని అడుగుదువు గాని" అన్నది. కుమారుడు అమ్మా! నాన్నగారిని నేను అడుగలేను. వారంటే నాకు భయం. నీవే ఎలానైనా వారిని ఒప్పించాలి" అని కాళ్ళు పట్టుకొని విడిచిపెట్టలేదు. ఆమె ప్రియపుత్రుని మాట కాదనలేక పోయింది. "అలానే! నాన్నగారిని ఒప్పిస్తాను" అన్నది. కొద్దిసేపటికి ప్రవరసేనుడు వచ్చాడు.

జరిగింది ఆమె తెలియచేసింది. కుమారుడు చేతులు జోడించి తండ్రిని వేడుకొన్నాడు. ప్రవరసేనుడు ఒక్క క్షణం మాట్లాడలేక పోయినాడు, కండ్లు మూసుకొని పదినిమిషాల తర్వాత నెమ్మదిగా కండ్లు తెరచి అన్నాడు "మీ అమ్మ ఇష్టపడి మాట యిచ్చిందంటే అది రాధాదేవి ఇచ్చ. నీవు కోరింది. జరుగుతుంది". నాగావళి పూర్వనామం ఇందులేఖ గనుక ప్రవరసేనుడు కుమారునికి ఇందుసేనుడని పేరు పెట్టాడు. ఆ ఇందుసేనుడు తల్లిదండ్రులకు మ్రొక్కి ప్రసాదం తీసుకొని వెళ్ళిపోయినాడు. అనంతరం దంపతులు కూచుని మాట్లాడుకొన్నారు. ప్రవరసేనుడు “నాగా! విధి ఈ రూపంగా మన భవిష్యత్తు నిర్ణయించింది. మనం జన్మయెత్తామంటే గర్భనరకం అనుభవించక తప్పదు. మనం మనను మరిచిపోతాము. ఇప్పుడు మనమెవరమో ఎక్కడ నుండి వచ్చామో అన్నీ మనకు తెలుసు. జన్మ మారగానే పూర్వస్మృతి ఉండదు. ఇప్పుడున్న సిద్ధశక్తులు వెంటరావు. మనం చేసిన పుణ్యఫలం మాత్రమే వస్తుంది.

సిద్ధాశ్రమ గురువుల అనుమతి లేకుండా ఈ నిర్ణయం తీసుకొన్నాము. అయినా మనం వారిని ప్రార్ధిద్దాము. ఆ మహాత్ములు కరుణామయులు. ఈ మొదలయ్యే జన్మపరంపరలో మన చేత సాధన చేయించి తపస్సు చేయించి పూర్వజన్మ స్మృతులు వచ్చేలా చేస్తూ సిద్ధశక్తులు ప్రసాదిస్తారన్న నమ్మకం నాకున్నది. ప్రేమమూర్తులైన రాధాకృష్ణులు మనలను విడిచి పెట్టరు". ఆమె కంటి వెంట కన్నీరు కారుతున్నది. "స్వామీ! పుత్రమమకారంతో తప్పుచేశాను. మన్నించండి. పరిణామాలు ఇలా ఉంటవని ఊహించలేకపోయాను" అని భర్త పాదముల మీద వ్రాలింది. ఆమెను లేవదీసి పొదివి పట్టుకొని తన ప్రక్కన కూర్చోబెట్టుకొని "నాగా! ఇందులో నీ తప్పేమీ లేదు. అనుల్లంఘనీయమైన విధి ప్రభావమిది. రాబోయే జన్మలో మళ్ళీ మనమిద్దరమూ భార్యాభర్తలుగా ఉండగలము. తరువాత జన్మలలో అన్నింటిలోను నీవు నాతో ఉండకపోవచ్చు. రాధాప్రియ సఖివి గనుక జన్మకు జన్మకు మధ్య నీవు రాసేశ్వరి పరివారంలో ఉంటూ కొన్ని నిర్దిష్ట జన్మలలో నాతో ఉండటానికి జగన్మాత అనుమతిస్తుంది. ఇక నా జన్మలు కాశీమజిలీ కథలు, సరి! వానికేమి? పద మందిరంలోకి వెళ్ళి రాధాకృష్ణులకు నమస్కరించి ప్రసాదం తీసుకొందాము అని ప్రవరసేనుడు భార్యను పట్టుకొని నడిపిస్తూ వెళ్ళి సాష్టాంగ నమస్కారం చేశారు, అంతే ఇక లేవలేదు. ఈ అధ్యాయం ముగిసింది.

ప్రవరసేనుడు ఇందుసేనుని కుమారునిగా జన్మించాడు. గుణసేనుడన్న పేరు పెట్టబడింది. నాగావళి మరో రాజవంశంలో పుట్టి అతనికి భార్య అయింది. రాధాకృష్ణుల సేవ చేస్తూ ప్రజలను జాగ్రత్తగా రెండువందల సంవత్సరాలు పరిపాలించి కాలగర్భంలోకి వెళ్ళిపోయినాడు.

మహానగరము - మహరాజు- రాజపుత్రులు- సామంతులు - సౌందర్యవతులైన స్త్రీలు- వందిమాగధులు- సర్వము దేని ప్రభావము వల్ల స్మృతి పథంలోకి వెళ్ళిపోయిందో ఆ కాలమునకు నమస్కారము.

విశ్వవ్యాప్తమై కోటానుకోట్లు సూర్యకాంతిగ వర్ణింపలేని అందముతో, శోభలతో, శక్తులతో నుండు శ్రీమాత రూపమే తుది దర్శనము. అటుపై దర్శనము లేవు. అట్టి శ్రీ తత్త్వము సంకల్పముగను, ప్రాణ స్పందనముగను, క్రియా రూపముగను అవతరించు చుండును. వీనినే ఇచ్చాశక్తి, జ్ఞానశక్తి, క్రియాశక్తి అందురు. ఆమె సంకల్ప వివరమే ఋగ్వేదము. ఆమె స్పందనాత్మక గానమే ప్రాణము. అదియే సామవేదము. ఆమె క్రియా చాతుర్యమే యజుర్వేదము. ఇచ్ఛా, జ్ఞాన, క్రియల ఫలమే అధర్వణ వేదము.

The ultimate darshan is the form of Sri Mata, who is universally spread with the brightness of billions of Suns, with indescribable beauty, charm and powers. There is no darshan beyond that. Such Sri Tattva incarnates as the will, as the response to life, and as the action. This is the power of will, knowledge and action. Rigveda is the description of her will. Her responsive singing is life. That is Samaveda. Her adeptness in action is Yajurveda. Adharvana Veda is the fruit of will, knowledge and action.
