🌷. భాష్యము :
*సామాన్యమానవునికి అధికారికముగా ముద్రవేయుట ద్వారా మహాత్ముడు కాజాలడు. మహాత్ముని లక్షణములు ఇట వర్ణింపబడినవి. మాహాత్ముడైనవాడు సదా దేవదేవుడైన శ్రీకృష్ణుని మహిమలను కీర్తించుట యందే నిమగ్నుడై యుండును. దానికి అన్యమైన కర్మ ఏదియును లేకుండా ఆ భక్తుడు కీర్తనమందే సదా నియుక్తుడై యుండును. అనగా అతడెన్నడును నిరాకారవాది కాడు. కీర్తనమను విషయము చర్చకు వచ్చినప్పుడు మనుజుడు దానిని దేవదేవుని పవిత్రనామమును, దివ్యరూపమును, దివ్యగుణములను, అసాధారణలీలలను కీర్తించుటకే ఉపయోగించవలెను. అవన్నియును ప్రతియోక్కరిచే కీర్తనీయములు కనుకనే మహాత్ముడైనవాడు దేవదేవుడైన శ్రీకృష్ణుని యెడ అనురక్తుడై యుండును. శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుని నిరాకారరూపమైన బ్రహ్మజ్యోతి యెడ అనురక్తుడై యుండెడివాడు భగవద్గీత యందు మహాత్మునిగా వర్ణింపబడలేదు. అట్టివాడు తదుపరి శ్లోకమున ఇందుకు భిన్నముగా వర్ణింపబడినాడు.*
*శ్రీమద్భాగవతమున తెలుపబడినట్లు మహాత్ముడైనవాడు విష్ణువు యొక్క శ్రవణ, కీర్తనములను కూడిన భక్తియుతసేవ యందు సదా నిమగ్నుడై యుండును. అతడు శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుని సేవలోనే నిలుచునుగాని, దేవతలు లేదా మనుష్యుల సేవలో కాదు. ఆ రీతి దేవదేవుని సదా స్మరించుటయే భక్తి(శ్రవణం, కీర్తనం, విష్ణో: స్మరణం) యనబడును. దివ్యమైన ఐదు భక్తిరసములలో ఏదేని ఒక భక్తిరసము ద్వారా అంత్యమున అ భగవానునితో నిత్య సాహచార్యమును పొందవలెనని ఆ మహాత్ముడు దృఢనిశ్చయమును కలిగయుండును. దాని యందు జయమును పొందుట అతడు తన మనోవాక్కాయ కర్మలన్నింటిని ఆ దేవదేవుని సేవ యందే నియోగించును. అదియే సంపూర్ణ కృష్ణభక్తిరస భావనమని పిలువబడుచున్నది.*

*Always chanting My glories, endeavoring with great determination, bowing down before Me, these great souls perpetually worship Me with devotion.*
🌹 Purport :
*The mahātmā cannot be manufactured by rubber-stamping an ordinary man. His symptoms are described here: a mahātmā is always engaged in chanting the glories of the Supreme Lord Kṛṣṇa, the Personality of Godhead. He has no other business. He is always engaged in the glorification of the Lord. In other words, he is not an impersonalist. When the question of glorification is there, one has to glorify the Supreme Lord, praising His holy name, His eternal form, His transcendental qualities and His uncommon pastimes. One has to glorify all these things; therefore a mahātmā is attached to the Supreme Personality of Godhead.*
*One who is attached to the impersonal feature of the Supreme Lord, the brahma-jyotir, is not described as mahātmā in the Bhagavad-gītā. He is described in a different way in the next verse. The mahātmā is always engaged in different activities of devotional service, as described in the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, hearing and chanting about Viṣṇu, not a demigod or human being. That is devotion: śravaṇaṁ kīrtanaṁ viṣṇoḥ and smaraṇam, remembering Him. Such a mahātmā has firm determination to achieve at the ultimate end the association of the Supreme Lord in any one of the five transcendental rasas. To achieve that success, he engages all activities – mental, bodily and vocal, everything – in the service of the Supreme Lord, Śrī Kṛṣṇa. That is called full Kṛṣṇa consciousness.*

*ఆ పద్మముపైన పురుషశక్తిని ధ్యానించి, దానిన పూజించవలెను. పిమ్మట, దేశికుడు, ప్రతిమపై శ్రీహరి న్యాసము చేసి, ఆ శ్రీహరిని, ఇతర దేవతలను పూజింపవలెను. గంధపుష్పాద్యుపచారములు సమర్పించి అంగావరణ సహితముగా ఇష్ట దేవతను బాగుగా పూజింపవలెను. ద్వాదశాక్షర మంత్రములోని ఒక్కొక్క అక్షరమును బీజాక్షరముగ చేసి దానితో కేశవాది భగవద్విగ్రహములను క్రమముగ పూజించవలెను. పండ్రెండు ఆకులుగల మండలము మీద ఆ క్రమముగ లోక పాలాదులను పూజింపవెలను. పిమ్మట, ద్విజుడు, గంధపుష్పాద్యుపచారములతో పురుషసూక్తమును పఠించుచు పురుషప్రతిమలను. శ్రీ సూక్తము పఠించుచు పిండికలను పూజింపవలెను పిమ్మట జననాదిక్రమమున వైష్ణవాగ్నిని ఆవిర్భవింపిచేయవలెను. విష్ణుదేవతకు సంబంధిచిన మంత్రములతో అగ్నిలో హోమము చేసి, విద్వాంసుడు, శాంతిజలమును సిద్ధముచేసి దానిని ప్రతిమ శిరస్సుపై చల్లి, అగ్ని ప్రణయనము చేయవలెను. *🌻Preliminary consecration of an image (adhivāsana) - 6 🌻*
45. The effulgent energy of the supreme being should be contemplated and worshipped in the centre (of the lotus flower) by the priest. Having located (Lord) Hari in that image, one should worship him as well as the celestials.
46. Keśava and others should be worshipped well with twelve mystic letters[6] with perfumes, flowers etc. and with their attendants and enclosures in due order.
47-48. The twice-born should worship the guardian deities of quarters and others in the circular diagram of twelve radii. The image should then be worshipped with perfumes and flowers and with the puruṣasūkta.[7] The pedestal should be worshipped with the śrīsūkta.[8] The sacrificial fire relating to Viṣṇu. should be kindled in the prescribed manner.
49. Having made oblation unto the fire with the sacred syllables the wise priest should sanctify waters and consecrate the image (by sprinkling waters). Then he should kindle fire.
50. The wise priest should kindle fire in the pit on the-south with the mystic syllable agniṃ hutaṃ[9] and in the pit on the east with the syllable agnim agnim[10].
51. In the fire pit on the north, the fire should be kindled with the mystic syllable agnim agniṃ havīmabhiḥ[11] and the sacred syllable to be used to kindle fire in general is tvam agnehyagnirucyase.[12]

*The grief of the mind, the sorrow of the individual is not brought about by outer circumstances. This is a very important lesson we learn from the Upanishad. We suffer on account of a maladjustment of our personality with the conditions of life, and the knowledge of this fact is supernatural and super-sensual.*
*What has happened to us cannot be known by us, because it has happened to ‘us’ and not to somebody else. We cannot know what has happened to others because we cannot know what has happened to us, for who is to know our own selves? This is the crux of the whole matter, towards which the Upanishad is to take us. The Upanishad, to reiterate, is the science of the Self, studied not for the sake of a diversion of the intellect or a satisfaction of the understanding, but for freedom of the spirit and removal of sorrow, utterly.*

*The yogi by using his will power (previous sūtra) realizes (by appearance) the collective effect of allśaktī-s (energies or powers) and attains mastery over them. This is the process of connecting individual consciousness with universal consciousness. Śiva consciousness is the ultimate consciousness or universal consciousness.
