అష్టప్రకృతులలో బంధింపబడినపుడు అవిద్య ఆవరించును. విద్య అవిద్యలను తెలిసి జీవించువాడు అమృత స్వరూపుడు. విద్య భేద జ్ఞానము నిచ్చును. అవిద్య అభేద జ్ఞానము నిచ్చును. అదియే ఆత్మ జ్ఞానము, పరమాత్మ జ్ఞానము. జీవుడు తాను ఆత్మ యని యెఱిగి భేద జ్ఞానముతో సృష్టియందు, పరమాత్మ జ్ఞానముతో పరమాత్మ యందు ఉభయతారకముగ జీవించవలెనన్నచో విద్య అవిద్యలను తెలిసి యుండవలెను.

అట్టివాని జీవితమే సమగ్రము, పరిపూర్ణము. అవిద్యా స్వరూపము తెలియనివాడు సృష్టియందు సుఖించలేడు. ద్యాస్వరూపము తెలియనివాడు కూడ సృష్టియందు సుఖించలేడు. ఏకత్వము తెలిసిననూ లేక భిన్నత్వము తెలిసిననూ పూర్ణసుఖ ముండదు. సంపూర్ణ ఆనందము కలుగవలె నన్నచో భిన్నత్వ మందలి ఏకత్వము తెలియ వలెను. ఏక కాలమున రెండునూ తెలిసినప్పుడే జీవుడు పరిపూర్ణ ఆనందమును పొందగలడు.

Avidya hovers when it is trapped in Ashtaprakrits. He who knows education and ignorance is an Eternal being. Vidya gives diversified knowledge whereas avidya gives the knowledge of unity. It is the knowledge of the divine or the Paramatma jnana. The Self has to master both and has to live by the knowledge of diversity in the physical creation and has to live by the knowledge of unity in the divine realm.

His life is then complete and perfect. He who does not know the knowledge of unity cannot enjoy creation. He who does not know the knowledge of unity too cannot be happy in creation. Knowing either oneness or diversity does not bring complete happiness. It is only if the knowledge of unity in diversity is known, that there may be complete happiness. A living being can attain perfect happiness only when he knows both at the same time.

🕉. అంచనాలు లేకపోతే, ఏమి జరగాలనే ఆలోచన మీకు లేకుంటే,
అప్పుడు విషయాలు జరుగుతాయి. 🕉

🕉. If there is no desire, if you have no idea what should happen,
then things happen. 🕉

People who have great desires can never feel grateful, because whatever happens is always tiny compared to their desires. And because you can't feel grateful, much more that could have happened cannot happen, because it happens only through gratefulness. So you get trapped in a vicious circle: You desire much, and because of that you cannot feel grateful. Whatever happens you can't take any note of; you simply ignore it. And then you become more and more closed. If there is no desire, if you have no idea what should happen, then things happen.

Those things are already happening, but now you take note of them. You feel tremendously thrilled because this has happened and you had not expected anything. If you are expecting that when you go on the road you will find a thousand dollars lying there, and you only find a ten-dollar bill, you will say, "What am I doing here?" But if you had not expected that thousand dollars, a ten-dollar bill is good. And if you are grateful, then from the same source from where the ten dollars have come, ten million can come. But you remain open in gratefulness.

వీరభద్రుడిట్లు పలికెను -

ఓ మహర్షీ! మహాప్రాజ్ఞా!నా శ్రేష్టమగు మాటను వినుము. ఇపుడు నేను తారకుని వధించెదను. నా పరాక్రమమును చూడుము (22). ఏ వీరులు తమ ప్రభువు రణరంగమునకు రాదగిన ఆవశ్యకతను కల్పించెదరో, అట్టి పాపులు నపుంసకులనబడుదురు. వారు యుద్ధరంగములో నశించెదరు (23). వారు పాపుల గతిని పొందెదరు. వారికి నరకము నిశ్చయము. వీరభద్రుడు ఏనాడైననూ నిందార్హమగు పనిని చేయడని నీవు ఎరుంగుము (24). ఎవరైతే శస్త్రములచే మరియు అస్త్రములచే శిథిలమైన దేహము గలవారైననూ భయము లేకుండా యుద్ధమును చెసెదరో, వారు ఇహపరలోకములలో ప్రశంసలనంది అద్భుత సుఖములను పొందెదరు (25).

విష్ణువు మొదలగు దేవతలు నా మాటలను వినెదరు గాక! నేనీనాడు కుమారస్వామి సహాయత లేకుండగనే భూమిపై తారకుడు లేకుండునట్లు చేసెదనను (26). ఇట్లు పలికి వీరభద్రుడు శూలమును ధరించి ప్రమథులతో గూడి మనస్సులో శంభుని స్మరించి తారకునితో యుద్దమును చేసెను (27). వృషభములనదిష్ఠించి శ్రేష్ఠమగు త్రిశూలములను ధరించినవారు, మహావీరులు, మూడు కన్నులవారు అగు గణములచే రణరంగము ప్రకాశించెను (28). అసంఖ్యాకములగు గణముల భయము లేనివారై కోలాహలమునుచేయుచూ వీరభద్రుని ముందిడు కొని రాక్షసులతో యుద్ధమును చేసిరి (29).

బలముతో గర్వించి ఉన్నవారు, మహావీరులు, తారకాసురుని అనుచరులు అగు ఆ రాక్షుసులు కూడా గణములను కోపముతో మర్దించుచూ యుద్ధమును చేసిరి (30). గణములకు దానవ వీరులతో మిక్కిలి ఉగ్రమగు యుద్ధము అనేక పర్యాయములు జరిగెను. అపుడు గొప్ప అస్త్ర విద్యావిశారదులగు ఆ గణములు విజయమును పొంది ఆనందించిరి (31). బలశాలురగు గణములచే పరాజితులైన ఆ రాక్షసులు యుద్ధమునుందు రుచిని గోల్పోయిరి. వారు దుఃఖితులై కల్లోలితమనస్కులై పలాయనమును చిత్తగించిరి (32).

Vīrabhadra said:—

22. O excellent sage, of great wisdom, listen to my weighty words. I will kill Tāraka. See my exploit today.

23. The soldiers who bring their masters to the battlefield are sinners. They are no better than eunuchs. They are doomed in the battle.

24. They will go the way of the wicked. Hell is definitely in store for them. Vīrabhadra should never be considered by you as such a despicable person.

25. Those whose bodies are rent and split with weapons and missiles, but who still fight fearlessly shall be praised here and hereafter. They derive wonderful happiness.

26. Let Viṣṇu and other gods listen to my words—I shall make the earth freed of Tāraka today even without bringing my master here.

27. Saying thus and taking up his trident, Vīrabhadra mentally meditated on Śiva and fought with Tāraka, accompanied by Pramathas.

28. With many heroic soldiers riding on bulls, wielding the tridents and possessing three eyes he shone well in the midst of that battle.

29. Keeping Vīrabhadra at their head, and shouting fearlessly jubilantly, hundreds of the Gaṇas fought with the Asuras.

30. The Asuras too, the dependants of the demon Tāraka, all equally strong and heroic, began to smash the Gaṇas furiously.

31. The terrific mutual fights between the demons and the Gaṇas happened again and again. Ultimately the Gaṇas, experts in the use of great missiles, came out victorious and were jubilant.

32. Defeated by the Gaṇas of great strength, the Asuras turned their faces and began to flee. They were distressed and agitated.

అగ్నిదేవుడు పలికెను : మునీ! ఇపుడు నేను పవిత్రారోపణమను గూర్చి చెప్పెదను. సంత్సరమునందు ఒక మారు పవిత్రారోపణము చేసినచో, సంవత్సర మంతయు శ్రీహరి పూజ చేసిన ఫలము నిచ్చును.

ఆషాఢశుక్ల ఏకాదశి మొదలు కార్తిక శుక్లైకాదశి వరకు నున్న కాలమున పవిత్రారోపణము చేయవలెను. ప్రతిపత్తు విడువవలెను. ద్వితీయాదితిథులు క్రమముగ లక్ష్మాదిదేవతల తిథులు.

ద్వితీయ లక్ష్మికి, తృతీయ గౌరికి, చతుర్థి గణేశునికి, పంచమి సరస్వతికి, షష్ఠి కుమారస్వామికి, సప్తమి సూర్యునకు, అష్టమి మాతృదేతలకు, నవమి దుర్గకు, దశమి నాగులకు, ఏకాదశి ఋషులకు, ద్వాదశి విష్ణువునకు, త్రయోదశి మన్మథునకు, చతుర్దశి శివునకు, పౌర్ణమాస్యవాస్యలు బ్రహ్మకు సంబంధించినవి.

ఏ ఉపాసకుడు ఏ దేవతను ఉపాసించునో ఆతనికి ఆ దేవత యొక్క తిథి పవిత్ర మైనది.

పవిత్రారోపణ విధి అందరు దేవతలకును సమానమే. మంత్రాదులు మాత్రమే ఆయా దేవతలకు వేరు వేరుగా నుండును. పవిత్రకమును నిర్మించుటకై బంగారము, వెండి రాగి తీగలను నూలు దారము గాని ఉపమోగింపవలెను.

బ్రాహ్మణ స్త్రీ చేతితో వడికిన నూలు చాల శ్రేష్ఠమైనది. అది లభించనిచో ఏ దారము నైనను గ్రహించి, దానిని సంస్కరించి, ఉపమోగింపవలెను. దారమును మూడుపేటలు చేసి, మరల దానిని మూడు పేటలు చేసి, దానితో పవిత్రకమును నిర్మింపవలెను. నూట ఎనిమిది మొదలు అధికము లగు తంతువులతో నిర్మించిన పవిత్రకము ఉత్తమాదిశ్రేణికి చెందినదిగ పరిగణింపబడుచున్నది. పవిత్రరోపణమునకు ముందు ఇష్టదేవతను గూర్చి ఈ విధముగ ప్రార్థింపవలెను.

''ప్రభూ! క్రియాలోపమువలన కలిగిన దోషమును తొలగించుటకై నీవు ఏ సాధమును చెప్పినావో దానినే నేను చేయుచున్నాను. ఎక్కడ ఏ పవిత్రకము ఆవశ్యకమో అక్కడ అట్టి పవిత్రకమునే అర్పించగలను. నీ కృపచే ఈ కార్యమునందు విఘ్నబాధ లేవియు కలుగకుండుగాక. అవినాశి యైన పరమేశ్వరా! నీకు జయ మగుగాక.

🌻 Mode of investiture of the sacred thread for the deity and the installation of the deity - 1 🌻

Agni said:

1. I shall describe the (mode of) installation of Hari and the benefits of worship for a year. The first day (of the lunar fortnight) at the commencement of (the month of) āṣāḍha and the concluding part (of the month) of Kārttika yields riches.

2-3. Commencing with the second day (of the lunar fortnight) (the installation) of Śrī, Gaurī, Gaṇeśa, Sarasvatī, Guha (son of Śiva), Mārtaṇḍa (Sun), the divine mothers, Durgā, Śiva and Brahmā are performed in order. To which deity one is devoted, the lunar day of that deity is sacred to him.

4-5. The mode of installation is the same (for all the deities). Only the sacred syllables are different. A thread spun by a brahmin woman (made of) gold, silver, copper, silk or cotton etc. or in its absence a purified one is made into nine folds. The investiture is done with that.

6-7. It is excellent if it is longer than one hundred and eight (finger-length) or half of it. “Whatever has been prescribed by you, O Lord, for the warding off of the discontinuance of the rite, that is being done by me O Lord. May there be no impediment here in the pavitraka rite. O Lord of undiminishing success! Grant me this”.

మనురాజపుత్రీ! అమ్మా! వాస్తవముగా పురుషోత్తముడైస భగవంతుని ప్రేరణచే గుణముల యొక్క సామ్యావస్దారూపమైన నిర్విశేష ప్రకృతి యందు చైతన్యము ఉత్పన్నమగును. అట్టి భగవంతుడే కాలము అని వ్యవహరింపబడును.

సత్వము రజస్సు తమస్సూ, ఈ మూడు గుణాలు సమానముగా ఉన్న స్థితిలో, దేని వలన కదలిక ఏర్పడుతుందో, అది కాలము. ప్రతీ దానిలో కదలిక గలిగించేదే కాలము.

ఆషాఢశుక్ల ఏకాదశి మొదలు కార్తిక శుక్లైకాదశి వరకు నున్న కాలమున పవిత్రారోపణము చేయవలెను. ప్రతిపత్తు విడువవలెను. ద్వితీయాదితిథులు క్రమముగ లక్ష్మాదిదేవతల తిథులు.

ద్వితీయ లక్ష్మికి, తృతీయ గౌరికి, చతుర్థి గణేశునికి, పంచమి సరస్వతికి, షష్ఠి కుమారస్వామికి, సప్తమి సూర్యునకు, అష్టమి మాతృదేతలకు, నవమి దుర్గకు, దశమి నాగులకు, ఏకాదశి ఋషులకు, ద్వాదశి విష్ణువునకు, త్రయోదశి మన్మథునకు, చతుర్దశి శివునకు, పౌర్ణమాస్యవాస్యలు బ్రహ్మకు సంబంధించినవి.

ఏ ఉపాసకుడు ఏ దేవతను ఉపాసించునో ఆతనికి ఆ దేవత యొక్క తిథి పవిత్ర మైనది.

పవిత్రారోపణ విధి అందరు దేవతలకును సమానమే. మంత్రాదులు మాత్రమే ఆయా దేవతలకు వేరు వేరుగా నుండును. పవిత్రకమును నిర్మించుటకై బంగారము, వెండి రాగి తీగలను నూలు దారము గాని ఉపమోగింపవలెను.

బ్రాహ్మణ స్త్రీ చేతితో వడికిన నూలు చాల శ్రేష్ఠమైనది. అది లభించనిచో ఏ దారము నైనను గ్రహించి, దానిని సంస్కరించి, ఉపమోగింపవలెను. దారమును మూడుపేటలు చేసి, మరల దానిని మూడు పేటలు చేసి, దానితో పవిత్రకమును నిర్మింపవలెను. నూట ఎనిమిది మొదలు అధికము లగు తంతువులతో నిర్మించిన పవిత్రకము ఉత్తమాదిశ్రేణికి చెందినదిగ పరిగణింపబడుచున్నది. పవిత్రరోపణమునకు ముందు ఇష్టదేవతను గూర్చి ఈ విధముగ ప్రార్థింపవలెను.

''ప్రభూ! క్రియాలోపమువలన కలిగిన దోషమును తొలగించుటకై నీవు ఏ సాధమును చెప్పినావో దానినే నేను చేయుచున్నాను. ఎక్కడ ఏ పవిత్రకము ఆవశ్యకమో అక్కడ అట్టి పవిత్రకమునే అర్పించగలను. నీ కృపచే ఈ కార్యమునందు విఘ్నబాధ లేవియు కలుగకుండుగాక. అవినాశి యైన పరమేశ్వరా! నీకు జయ మగుగాక.

*🌻 Mode of investiture of the sacred thread for the deity and the installation of the deity - 1 🌻*

Agni said:

1. I shall describe the (mode of) installation of Hari and the benefits of worship for a year. The first day (of the lunar fortnight) at the commencement of (the month of) āṣāḍha and the concluding part (of the month) of Kārttika yields riches.

2-3. Commencing with the second day (of the lunar fortnight) (the installation) of Śrī, Gaurī, Gaṇeśa, Sarasvatī, Guha (son of Śiva), Mārtaṇḍa (Sun), the divine mothers, Durgā, Śiva and Brahmā are performed in order. To which deity one is devoted, the lunar day of that deity is sacred to him.

4-5. The mode of installation is the same (for all the deities). Only the sacred syllables are different. A thread spun by a brahmin woman (made of) gold, silver, copper, silk or cotton etc. or in its absence a purified one is made into nine folds. The investiture is done with that.

6-7. It is excellent if it is longer than one hundred and eight (finger-length) or half of it. “Whatever has been prescribed by you, O Lord, for the warding off of the discontinuance of the rite, that is being done by me O Lord. May there be no impediment here in the pavitraka rite. O Lord of undiminishing success! Grant me this”.

ఓ మహర్షీ! మహాప్రాజ్ఞా!నా శ్రేష్టమగు మాటను వినుము. ఇపుడు నేను తారకుని వధించెదను. నా పరాక్రమమును చూడుము (22). ఏ వీరులు తమ ప్రభువు రణరంగమునకు రాదగిన ఆవశ్యకతను కల్పించెదరో, అట్టి పాపులు నపుంసకులనబడుదురు. వారు యుద్ధరంగములో నశించెదరు (23). వారు పాపుల గతిని పొందెదరు. వారికి నరకము నిశ్చయము. వీరభద్రుడు ఏనాడైననూ నిందార్హమగు పనిని చేయడని నీవు ఎరుంగుము (24). ఎవరైతే శస్త్రములచే మరియు అస్త్రములచే శిథిలమైన దేహము గలవారైననూ భయము లేకుండా యుద్ధమును చెసెదరో, వారు ఇహపరలోకములలో ప్రశంసలనంది అద్భుత సుఖములను పొందెదరు (25).

విష్ణువు మొదలగు దేవతలు నా మాటలను వినెదరు గాక! నేనీనాడు కుమారస్వామి సహాయత లేకుండగనే భూమిపై తారకుడు లేకుండునట్లు చేసెదనను (26). ఇట్లు పలికి వీరభద్రుడు శూలమును ధరించి ప్రమథులతో గూడి మనస్సులో శంభుని స్మరించి తారకునితో యుద్దమును చేసెను (27). వృషభములనదిష్ఠించి శ్రేష్ఠమగు త్రిశూలములను ధరించినవారు, మహావీరులు, మూడు కన్నులవారు అగు గణములచే రణరంగము ప్రకాశించెను (28). అసంఖ్యాకములగు గణముల భయము లేనివారై కోలాహలమునుచేయుచూ వీరభద్రుని ముందిడు కొని రాక్షసులతో యుద్ధమును చేసిరి (29).

బలముతో గర్వించి ఉన్నవారు, మహావీరులు, తారకాసురుని అనుచరులు అగు ఆ రాక్షుసులు కూడా గణములను కోపముతో మర్దించుచూ యుద్ధమును చేసిరి (30). గణములకు దానవ వీరులతో మిక్కిలి ఉగ్రమగు యుద్ధము అనేక పర్యాయములు జరిగెను. అపుడు గొప్ప అస్త్ర విద్యావిశారదులగు ఆ గణములు విజయమును పొంది ఆనందించిరి (31). బలశాలురగు గణములచే పరాజితులైన ఆ రాక్షసులు యుద్ధమునుందు రుచిని గోల్పోయిరి. వారు దుఃఖితులై కల్లోలితమనస్కులై పలాయనమును చిత్తగించిరి (32).

23. The soldiers who bring their masters to the battlefield are sinners. They are no better than eunuchs. They are doomed in the battle.

24. They will go the way of the wicked. Hell is definitely in store for them. Vīrabhadra should never be considered by you as such a despicable person.

25. Those whose bodies are rent and split with weapons and missiles, but who still fight fearlessly shall be praised here and hereafter. They derive wonderful happiness.

26. Let Viṣṇu and other gods listen to my words—I shall make the earth freed of Tāraka today even without bringing my master here.

27. Saying thus and taking up his trident, Vīrabhadra mentally meditated on Śiva and fought with Tāraka, accompanied by Pramathas.

28. With many heroic soldiers riding on bulls, wielding the tridents and possessing three eyes he shone well in the midst of that battle.

29. Keeping Vīrabhadra at their head, and shouting fearlessly jubilantly, hundreds of the Gaṇas fought with the Asuras.

30. The Asuras too, the dependants of the demon Tāraka, all equally strong and heroic, began to smash the Gaṇas furiously.

31. The terrific mutual fights between the demons and the Gaṇas happened again and again. Ultimately the Gaṇas, experts in the use of great missiles, came out victorious and were jubilant.

32. Defeated by the Gaṇas of great strength, the Asuras turned their faces and began to flee. They were distressed and agitated.

And then you become more and more closed. If there is no desire, if you have no idea what should happen, then things happen.*

*Those things are already happening, but now you take note of them. You feel tremendously thrilled because this has happened and you had not expected anything.
