*దుర్గామాత ఆరవ స్వరూపం కాత్యాయని. పూర్వం ‘కత’ అనే పేరుగల ఒక గొప్ప మహర్షి ఉండేవాడు. అతని కుమారుడు ‘కాత్య’ మహర్షి. ఈ కాత్యగోత్రజుడే విశ్వవిఖ్యాతుడైన ‘కాత్యాయన’ మహర్షి. ఇతడు ‘పరాంబా’ దేవిని ఉపాసిస్తూ, ఎన్నో సంవత్సరాలు కఠినమైన తపస్సును ఆచరించాడు. భగవతీదేవి లేదా దుర్గాదేవి పుత్రికగా తన ఇంట జన్మించాలని అతని కోరిక. భగవతీ మాత ఆయన ప్రార్థనను అంగీకరిస్తుంది. కొంతకాలం తరువాత ‘మహిషాసురుడు’ అనే రాక్షసుని అత్యాచారాలతో భూలోకం పెచ్చరిల్లిపోతుంది. ఈ మహిషాసురుని సంహరించడానికై బ్రహ్మవిష్ణు మహేశ్వరులు తమ తమ తేజస్సుల అంశలతో ఒక దేవిని సృష్టిస్తారు. మొట్ట మొదట కాత్యాయన మహర్షి ఈమెను పూజిస్తారు. అందువలన ఈమె ‘కాత్యాయని’ అని ప్రసిద్ధికెక్కింది.*
*🌷. చరిత్ర :*
*ఈమె ‘కాత్యాయన’ మహర్షి ఇంట పుత్రికగా అవతరించిందని మరి ఒక కథ. ఈమె అమాంత భాద్రపద బహుళ చతుర్దశినాడు జన్మించింది (ఉత్తర భారత పౌర్ణిమాంత పంచాంగ సంప్రదాయమును బట్టి ఇది ఆశ్వీయుజ శుద్ధ చతుర్దశి). ఈమె ఆశ్వీయుజ శుక్ల సప్తమి, అష్టమి, నవమి తిథులలో కాత్యాయన మహర్షి పూజలందుకొని విజయదశమినాడు మహిషాసురుని వధించింది.*
*ఈమె సాక్షాత్తూ గాయత్రీ అవతారమేనని చెప్పబడింది. కాత్యాయనీ ఉపాసన వల్ల సంతాపాలు, భయాలు, అనుమానాలు దూరమవుతాయి. వేదవిద్య అబ్బుతుంది.*
*🌻. సాధన :
*కాత్యాయనీ దేవి అమోఘ ఫలదాయిని. కృష్ణుడిని పతిగా పొందటానికి గోకులంలో గోపికలందరూ యమునానదీ తీరాన ఈమెనే పూజించారని భాగవతం చెబుతుంది. ఈమె గోకులానికి అధిష్ఠాత్రిగా వెలిసినది. ఈమె స్వరూపము దివ్యమూ, భవ్యమూ. ఈమె శరీరకాంతి బంగారు వన్నెతో తళతళ మెరుస్తూ ఉంటుంది. ఈమె నాలుగు భుజాలతో విరాజిల్లుతూ ఉంటుంది. ఈమె కుడిచేతులలో ఒకటి అభయముద్రనూ, మరొకటి వరదముద్రనూ కలిగి ఉంటుంది. ఈమె ఒక ఎడమ చేతిలో ఖడ్గమూ, మరొక ఎడమ చేతిలో పద్మమూ శోభిల్లుతూ ఉంటాయి. సింహవాహన.*
*దుర్గా నవ రాత్రులలో ఆరవరోజున కాత్యాయనీ స్వరూపం పూజింపబడుతుంది. ఆ దినాన సాధకుడి మనస్సు ఆజ్ఞా చక్రంలో స్థిరమవుతుంది. యోగసాధనలో ఈ ఆజ్ఞా చక్రం యొక్క స్థానం ప్రముఖమైనది. ఈ చక్రంపై స్థిర మనస్సుగల సాధకుడు తన సర్వస్వమును కాత్యాయనీ దేవి చరణాలలో సమర్పిస్తాడు. పరిపూర్ణంగా ఆత్మసమర్పణము చేసిన భక్తుడికి సహజంగానే కాత్యాయనీ మాత దర్శనం లభిస్తుంది.*
*ఈ దేవిని భక్తితో సేవించిన వారికి ధర్మ, అర్థ, కామమోక్షాలనే చతుర్విధ పురుషార్థముల ఫలములు లభిస్తాయి. అతడు ఈ లోకంలో అలౌకిక తేజస్సులను, ప్రభావములను పొందగలడు. రోగములు, శోకములు, సంతాపములు, భయము మొదలైనవి అతడినుండి సర్వదా దూరమవుతాయి.*
*జన్మజన్మాంతరాల పాపాలు నశించటానికి ఈ దేవి ఉపాసనకంటె సులభమైనా, సరళమైన మార్గం మరొకటి లేదు. ఈమెను ఆరాధించేవారు నిరంతరం ఈమె సాన్నిధ్యం నుండీ, పిమ్మట పరమపదప్రాప్తికీ అర్హులవుతారు. కాబట్టి మనము అన్ని విధాలా ఈ తల్లిని శరణుజొచ్చి, ఈమె పూజలందూ, ఉపాసన యందూ తత్పరులము కావాలి.*

*The 6th day of Navaratri festival is dedicated to Maa Katyayani, the 6th Avtar of Goddess Durga. Once there was a great sage named Katya and it was his wish that Maa Durga be born his daughter. He practiced austere penance for several years to please the Gods. The trinity of Gods - Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva - got enraged and they designed Goddess Durga, who was an end result of the abilities of all deities. Since she was born to Katya, she was called Katyayani.*
*Maa Katyayani has 3 eyes and 4 hands. She holds a sword in Her one left-hand and a lotus in another. The other 2 hands respectively show protecting and allowing actions. If you make vow of fasting and worshipping her, she would bless you with the husband you have wished and prayed for. If a lady's marriage is getting delayed due to one or the other reason, she may worship Maa Katyayani to remove obstacles that may be causing delays in her marriage.*
*Maa also blesses you with better health and wealth. By worshipping Maa Katyayani, you may develop great strength to fight all disease, sorrows and fears. In order to destruct the sins accumulated over your several lives, you should religiously worship Maa Katyayani.*
*Katyayani is the daughter of Sage Katyayan , he worshiped Ambika to grant protection from all evil forces to the society . Pleased by his tireless penance and oblations to fire / homa , the Goddess appeared and asked him to ask for a boon . Katyayan replied if you'll be born as my daughter and protect the world from Asuras it will be his greatest fortune. The Devi smiled and gave him his desired boon.*
*Goddess Katyayani is non other than Mahishasura Mardini , the slayer of buffalo demon who terrorised even Bramha , Vishnu and Shiva . Katyayani is a ferocious warrior form of Goddess whose name itself terrorises the negative forces . She's ferocious but compassionate at heart .*

*Katyayani is the spiritual fire in a human being who takes down the six enemies of Kama ( lust ) , Krodha ( anger ) , Lobha ( greed ) , Moha ( attraction ) , Mada ( pride ) and Matsarya ( jealousy ) , Mahishasura is a unified form of these enemies hence he can only be slayed by the Divine consciousness which is Mother Katyayani . She holds the chandrahaasa sword , which destroys negativity and grants meditative mind.*

*🌻 5. ఆదర్శం మరియు సత్యం మధ్య ఉండే విభేదం.🌻*
*జీవితంలో ఏ దశలోనైనా ఉన్నతమైనవి నిమ్న వాటిపైన అధికారం చూపించడం ప్రారంభించినప్పుడు, న్యాయం అమలులోకి వస్తుంది. మనకు అనేక రకాల న్యాయాలు ఉన్నాయి: ఆరోగ్యన్యాయం, కుటుంబ న్యాయాలు, సమాజ న్యాయాలు, దేశ న్యాయాలు మొదలైనవి. న్యాయం అనేది ఉన్నతమైన దృష్టికోణం నుంచి నిమ్నమైన విషయాలను నిర్ణయించడం కోసం. న్యాయం అనేది ఉన్నత సూత్రానికి చిహ్నం మాత్రమే, దానిని మనం దిగువ స్థాయి దాని కంటే ఎక్కువ వాస్తవమైనదిగా భావిస్తాము. సామాజిక జీవనాన్ని ఉన్నత స్థాయి ఉనికి ద్వారా నిర్ణయించాలి, అందుకే మనకు న్యాయాలు ఉన్నాయి. అత్యున్నత దృష్టి కోణం నుంచి అటువంటి నిర్ణయం అవసరం లేకుంటే, చట్టాల అవసరం ఉండదు, ప్రభుత్వాల అవసరం కూడా ఉండదు.*
*ఏదైనా ప్రణాళిక, పథకం, వ్యవస్థ, ప్రతిపాదన లేదా చట్టం అనేది ఇంకా గ్రహించబడని-కాని మన మనస్సులలో ముందు నుంచే నాటబడిన ఒక ఉన్నత ఆదర్శం ద్వారా నిమ్న స్థాయి ఉనికిని నిర్ణయించాలనే మన ఆకాంక్షకు చిహ్నం మాత్రమే. ఉన్నతమైనది ఇప్పటికే గ్రహించబడి ఉంటే, దాని ద్వారా నిమ్నాన్ని నిర్ణయించాల్సిన అవసరం ఉండదు. ఆదర్శం మనస్సులో ఉంది కానీ అనుభవం యొక్క వాస్తవికతలోకి ఇంకా సాకారం కాలేదు. ఆదర్శానికీ, వాస్తవానికీ మధ్య ఒక రకమైన విభేదం ఉంటుంది.*

*🌻 5. There is a Kind of Tension between the Ideal and the Real🌻*
*When the higher begins to determine the lower in any stage of life, law comes into play. We have various kinds of laws: laws of health, laws of family, laws of society, laws of the nation and so on. The law is for determining the lower from the higher. The law is only a symbol of the higher principle which we regard as more real than the lower level. Social living should be determined by a higher level of existence, and this is why we have laws. If such a determination of the lower by the higher were not necessary, no laws would be necessary, and there would be no need for governments.*
*Any plan, scheme, system, proposal or law is only a symbol of our aspiration to determine a lower existence by a higher ideal which has not yet been realised—but which is implanted in our minds. If the higher would already be realised, there would be no need of determining the lower by it. The ideal is there weakly before the mind’s eye but has not yet been materialised into the reality of experience. There is a kind of tension between the ideal and the real.*

*🌴. మాయ పైన విజయంతో, నిస్సందేహంగా ఒకరు శివుని యొక్క అత్యున్నత స్థితిలోకి ప్రవేశిస్తారు మరియు స్వీయ సహజమైన సత్య జ్ఞానాన్ని (సహజ విద్యను) పొందుతారు. 🌴*
*మనస్సు ముద్రలు లేకుండా మారినప్పుడు, అది శుద్ధీకరణ ప్రక్రియలోకి ప్రవేశిస్తుంది. ఈ సూత్రం స్వయం యొక్క పూర్తి మహిమతో స్వాభావిక జ్ఞానము ప్రసాదించ బడిందని చెబుతుంది. భ్రాంతికరమైన అవగాహనల వల్ల మాత్రమే, ఈ అనంతం యొక్క మహిమ మనలో నిక్షిప్తమై ఉంటుంది. సాధకుడు తన సుషుమ్నాన్ని సక్రియం చేయగలిగినప్పుడు, అతని స్థూల శరీరం శుద్ది చెందడం మాత్రమే కాక అతని మనో వ్యవస్థ కూడా తన స్వీయ శుద్ధి ప్రక్రియను ప్రారంభిస్తుంది. మనస్సు యొక్క శుద్ధీకరణ ప్రక్రియ ప్రారంభం అయినప్పుడు, అతను సిద్ధులను విస్మరించడానికి ఎంచుకున్నట్లయితే, అతను గణనీయమైన ఆధ్యాత్మిక పురోగతిని సాధించగలడు.*

*When the mind becomes devoid of impressions, it is getting into the process of purification. This aphorism says that inherent knowledge is endowed with full glory of the Self. It is only due to illusionary perceptions, the glory of Infinite remains encased. When he is able to activate his suṣumna, not only his gross body is purified, but also his mental arena begins the process of self purification. When the process of purification of the mind begins, he is able to make significant spiritual progress, provided he chooses to ignore siddhi-s.*
