🌷. తాత్పర్యం :
*ఓ కౌంతేయా! తాత్కాలికములైనట్టి సుఖదుఖముల రాకయు, కాలక్రమమున వాటి పోకయు శీతగ్రీష్మకాలముల వంటివి. ఓ భరతవంశీయుడా! ఇంద్రియానుభవము వలన కలుగు అటువంటి ద్వంద్వములను కలత నొందక సహించుట మనుజుడు నేర్వవలెను.*
🌷. భాష్యము :
విధ్యుక్తధర్మమును చక్కగా నిర్వహించుట యందు సుఖ:దుఖముల తాత్కాలికమైన రాకపోకలు సహించుట ప్రతియెక్కరు నేర్వవలెను. వేదనియమము ప్రకారము మాఘమాసము నందును (జనవరి-ఫిభ్రవరి) తెలావారుఝాముననే స్నానమాచరింపవలెను. ఆ సమయమున వాతావరణము అతిచలిగా నున్నను వేదనియమా చరణమునకు కట్టుబడినవాడు తత్కారమునకు సంశయింపరు.
అదే విధముగా ఎండాకాలపు అతివేడి సమయమున మే,జూన్ నెలల యందు కుడా స్త్రీలు వంటశాల యందు వండుటకు సంశయింపరు. అనగా వాతావరణపు అసౌకర్యములు కలిగినప్పటికిని మనుజుడు తన విధ్యుక్తధర్మమును నిర్వహింపవలెను. ఆ రీతిగనే యుద్ధమనునది క్షత్రియధర్మము.
అట్టి యుద్దమును స్నేహితుడు లేదా బంధువుతో చేయవలసివచ్చినను క్షత్రియుడైనవాడు తన విధ్యుక్తధర్మము నుండి వైదొలగరాదు. జ్ఞానస్థాయికి ఎదుగుట కొరకై మనుజుడు నిర్దేశిత నియమనిబంధనలను అనుసరింపవలెను. ఏలయన కేవలము జ్ఞానము మరియు భక్తి ద్వారానే ఎవడైనను తనను తాను మాయాబంధముల నుండి ముక్తుని గావించు కొనగలడు.
ఈ శ్లోకమున అర్జునుని సంభోధించిన రెండు నామములకు ప్రాశస్త్యము కలదు. కౌంతేయ అనెడి సంబోధన అతని తల్లి తరపున గల రక్తసంబంధమును, భారత అనెడి సంబోధనము తండ్రి ద్వారా సంక్రమించిన గొప్పదనమును సూచించుచున్నది. ఈ విధముగా రెండు వైపుల నుండియు అర్జునుడు గొప్ప వారసత్వమును కలిగియున్నాడు. అట్టి వారసత్వము స్వీయధర్మపాలన యందు గొప్ప బాధ్యతను కలిగించుచున్నందున అతడు యుద్దమును నిరాకరించుటకు అవకాశము లేదు.

14. mātrā-sparśās tu kaunteya śītoṣṇa-sukha-duḥkha-dāḥ āgamāpāyino ’nityās tāṁs titikṣasva bhārata
🌷 Translation :
*O son of Kuntī, the nonpermanent appearance of happiness and distress, and their disappearance in due course, are like the appearance and disappearance of winter and summer seasons. They arise from sense perception, O scion of Bharata, and one must learn to tolerate them without being disturbed.*
🌷 Purport :
In the proper discharge of duty, one has to learn to tolerate nonpermanent appearances and disappearances of happiness and distress. According to Vedic injunction, one has to take his bath early in the morning even during the month of Māgha (January-February). It is very cold at that time, but in spite of that a man who abides by the religious principles does not hesitate to take his bath. Similarly, a woman does not hesitate to cook in the kitchen in the months of May and June, the hottest part of the summer season.
One has to execute his duty in spite of climatic inconveniences. Similarly, to fight is the religious principle of the kṣatriyas, and although one has to fight with some friend or relative, one should not deviate from his prescribed duty. One has to follow the prescribed rules and regulations of religious principles in order to rise up to the platform of knowledge, because by knowledge and devotion only can one liberate himself from the clutches of māyā (illusion).
The two different names of address given to Arjuna are also significant. To address him as Kaunteya signifies his great blood relations from his mother’s side; and to address him as Bhārata signifies his greatness from his father’s side. From both sides he is supposed to have a great heritage. A great heritage brings responsibility in the matter of proper discharge of duties; therefore, he cannot avoid fighting.

Science can describe the how of fragments of sense-observation; but it is impotent to interpret and explain the meaning and value of what is thus observed—the why of visible phenomena. Philosophy is not dry intellectual gymnastics; it is the wisdom of life reached after careful reflection and investigation, without which life is but a dismal failure.
It was Socrates who said that those who lack right knowledge deserve to be stigmatised as slaves. And Plato was emphatic when he pronounced the truth that, unless philosophers become kings or the existing kings acquire the genuine wisdom of philosophy, unless political power and philosophy are combined in the same person, there will be no deliverance for cities, nor yet for the human race.
Plato here declares an eternal truth, a truth which holds good for all times and climes: administrators should first and foremost be philosophers, not merely lovers but possessors of wisdom.

336. విద్యావంతడైన వ్యక్తి ఎచ్చట ఉంటే అచ్చట ఆ వ్యక్తి సత్యాసత్యముల విచక్షణా జ్ఞానముతో వేదాలను నమ్మి తన దృష్టిని అతని వైపు మళ్ళించగలుగుతాడు. అదే అత్యున్నతమైన సత్యము. సాధకుడు అట్టి స్థితిని పొందిన తరువాత చిన్న పిల్లల వలె కాక జాగ్రత్తగా అసత్యమైన విశ్వానికి దూరముగా ఉంటాడు. లేనిచో అది అతని పతనానికి కారణమవుతుంది.
337. శరీరానికి కట్టుబడి ఉన్న వ్యక్తికి విముక్తి లేదు. అలానే విముక్తి పొందిన వ్యక్తికి శరీరముతో ఏవిధమైన గుర్తింపు ఉండదు. నిద్రించు వ్యక్తి మెలుకవలో ఉండడు. మెలుకవలో ఉన్న వ్యక్తి నిద్రించడు. ఈ రెండు వ్యతిరేక ప్రభావము కలిగి ఉన్నవి.
338. ఎవడైతే తన మనస్సుతో తన ఆత్మను తెలుసుకొంటాడో అతడు స్వేచ్ఛను పొందుతాడు. అలా కాక కదులుచున్న, స్థిరముగా ఉన్న వస్తు సముదాయముపై దృష్టిని ఉంచి గమనిస్తుంటాడో, అది అతని పతనము. అందువలన అన్ని మోసాలను అధికమించి వ్యక్తి తన యొక్క ఆత్మిక స్థితిలో స్థిరపడాలి.

337. There is no Liberation for one who has attachment to the body etc., and the liberated man has no identification with the body etc. The sleeping man is not awake, nor is the waking man asleep, for these two states are contradictory in nature.
338. He is free who, knowing through his mind the Self in moving and unmoving objects and observing It as their substratum, gives up all superimpositions and remains as the Absolute and the infinite Self.

ప్రతి ఆధ్యాత్మిక సంఘమును, సూక్ష్మలోకముల నుండి గమనించు మాకు, యిదియే మరల మరల కన్పట్టుచున్నది. ఒక సోదర బృందమున, ఆశయమొక్కటే యున్నను దానిని నిర్వర్తించు విధానమున పలువురికి పలుభావము లేర్పడుచుండును.
దానికి కారణము సభ్యుల స్వభావ వైవిధ్యము. అందరును ఒకే స్థితిని చేరిన ప్రజ్ఞను కలిగి యుండరు కదా! వాని స్వభావమందలి వైవిధ్యములే వారి వైవిధ్య ధోరణికి కారణము. వైవిధ్యమగు భావములను సమన్వయించుట సులభమగు విషయము కాదు. దీనికి సహనము ముఖ్యము. అట్టి సహనము కలవాడే బృందమును నడుపుట శ్రేయస్కరము.
సహనము, సద్బుద్ధి, సహకారము, సోదరత్వమునకు అత్యంత ఆవశ్యకమగు అంశములు. దీనిని పొందుటకు చైతన్యమును వికాసవంతము చేసుకొనవలెను. ఇతరుల అభిప్రాయములను కూడ పరిగణలోనికి తీసుకొని ఆలోచించుట దీనికి ప్రధానము.
పదికోణముల నుండి ఒకే విషయమును అవగాహన చేసుకొనినచో కార్యనిర్వహణము సమగ్రముగయుండును. సభ్యులందరును పరితృప్తి చెందుదురు. సహకరించుట అనుకరించుటకన్న కష్టమైన పని. “పై వారి ననుకరింతుము. తోటివారితో సహరించము.” ఇది ప్రస్తుత మానవుని లక్షణము.

*🍀. నువ్వు వర్తమాన క్షణంలో వుంటే దైవత్వంలో వున్నట్లే. ధ్యానానికి అదే అర్థం. ప్రార్థనకు అదే అర్థం. 🍀*
దైవత్వానికి దారి హఠాత్ సంభవమైంది. ప్రతిస్పందనతో వుండడమంటే దైవత్వంతో వుండటం. మనసు ఎప్పుడూ ప్రతిస్పందన గుణంతో వుండదు. సహజంగా వుండదు. ఈ క్షణంలో వుండదు. ఎక్కడో గతంలోనో, భవిష్యత్తులోనో వుంటుంది. ఒకటేమో యిపుడు లేనిది, యింకొకటేమో యింకా రానిది. వాటి మధ్య అది అసలయిన దారిని కోల్పోతూ వుంటుంది.
వర్తమాన క్షణమన్నది కాలంలో భాగం కాదు. అందువల్ల వర్తమాన క్షణమన్నది మనసుకందదు. మనసు, కాలం ఒక్కలాంటివే. అది నీలోని భాగమని నువ్వనవచ్చు. కానీ కాలం, మనసు నీకు బయట వున్నాయి.

*🌻 287. 'నిజాజ్ఞా రూపనిగమా'🌻*
దేవి ఆజ్ఞా రూపములే వేదములు అని అర్థము. మహాచైతన్య ముద్భవించిన వెనుకనే వేదముల ప్రసక్తి. ప్రళయమున వేదములు మహా చైతన్యములోనికి, మహాచైతన్యము ప్రళయములోనికి ఇమిడి యుండును. అపుడేమియు లేనట్లుండును. లేనట్లుండుటయేగాని లేకుండుట కాదు. లేనట్లున్న స్థితియే ఆది. అందుండి ఉద్భవించునది మహాచైతన్యము లేక శ్రీమాత. ఆమె ఇచ్ఛయే వేదములకు మూలము.
మన యందలి సంకల్పముల పుట్టుకకు కూడ ఈ ఇచ్ఛయే కారణము. పుట్టిన సంకల్పము భావ రూపము, భాషా రూపము, కర్మ రూపము దాల్చును. ఇచ్ఛయే కారణముగ ప్రాణస్పందనముకూడ కలుగును. సంకల్పము ఋగ్వేదము కాగా, భావ మయము, చేత మయము అగుట యజుర్వేద మగును. వీని కాధారముగ సామవేదమై ప్రాణములు స్పందించును. అవతరించు సృష్టి అధర్వణ వేదమై నిలచును.
ఇట్లు శ్రీమాత ఇచ్ఛయే అన్ని వేదములకు మూలము. నాలుగు వేదములు ఆమె ఆజ్ఞా రూపములే. నిగమము లనగా వేదానుసారమైన తంత్రములు, తంత్రము లనగా విధానములు. ఏ మానవుని యందైననూ ఈ నాలుగు వేదములే వ్యక్తమగు చుండును. మానవునికి కలుగు స్ఫురణ, భావము, ఉచ్చారణ ఋగ్వేదము. అతని యందలి ప్రాణ ప్రవృత్తులు సామ వేదము. భావనను తీరుగ అమర్చుకొని కార్యములు యజ్ఞార్థముగ నిర్వర్తించుట యజుర్వేదము. ఇట్లు నిర్వర్తింపబడిన కార్యములు భూమిపై అవతరించుట అధర్వణ వేదము.
ఇట్లు నాలుగు వేదములు మానవుల యందు ప్రకాశించు చున్నవి. ఇట్లు ప్రకాశించుటకు మూలము మన యందలి శ్రీదేవి ప్రకాశమే. ఆమె చైతన్య స్వరూపిణిగ మన యందుండుట వలన మానవుడు ఆ చైతన్యము, తన చైతన్యమని భ్రమపడు చుండును. అట్లే తన సంకల్పమని, తన ప్రాణమని, తన తెలివితేటలని, తాను సృష్టించెనని భావించును. కాని అన్నిటికీ మూలమైన స్ఫురణ కలుగనిచో ఏమి చేయగలడు? శ్రీమాత ఆజ్ఞగనే నాలుగు వేదములు, సృష్టి యందు మానవుని యందు వర్ధిల్లుచున్నవి.

*🌻 Nijājñā-rūpa-nigamā निजाज्ञा-रूप-निगमा (287) 🌻*
She conveys Her commands through Veda-s. Derivatives of Veda-s prescribe the actions to be done and not to be done. Such actions depend upon the classifications based on the previous nāma. If all men perform all the actions prescribed in Veda-s, there can be no perfection. For example, a person cannot be an expert in medical, legal and financial fields all at the same time. To attain proficiency in one’s field, more experience is required. This is the reason behind nāma 286.
Though Veda-s themselves do not discuss much on such acts, (karma kāṇḍa -s of Veda-s discuss certain gross actions) the derivatives of Veda-s like śāstra-s and Purāṇa-s clearly spell out the kriya-s (performance towards atonement) and karma-s (actions causing future reactions afflicting karmic account) to be done and not to be done. But it is widely believed that śāstra-s are of later origin and do not derive significantly from the teachings of Veda-s and Upaniṣads. By and large this argument is to be accepted, as they do not typically teach the ways to realising the Self within. Therefore it is to be understood that there is a huge difference between Her commands through Veda-s directly, and through śāstra-s indirectly.
Here it means Her commands are only through Veda-s. Following śāstra-s depends upon one’s outlook, tradition and lineage. Her commands through Veda-s are conveyed to those who are exponents of Veda-s such as sages and saints. It is also believed that such sages and saints prescribed śāstra-s. Many are of the view that śāstra-s initiate a person to pursue religious path and later into spiritual path.
