*యాతి జీవోఽంధతామిస్రం చరమం తమసః పదమ్॥*
*తాత్పర్యము : మనుష్యుడు కుటుంబ పోషణకై కక్కుర్తిపడి, ఏ కొంచముగానైనను ధర్మకార్యములను ఆచరింపక పూర్తిగా అధర్మములకే ఒడిగట్టును. అట్టివాడు అతి దుర్భరమైన అంధతామిస్ర నరకమును పొందును. ఇది నరకము నందు కష్టములను అనుభవించే చరమ స్థానముగా చెప్పబడినది.*
*వ్యాఖ్య : ఈ పద్యంలోని మూడు పదాలు చాలా ముఖ్యమైనవి. కేవలెన అంటే 'చీకటి పద్ధతుల ద్వారా మాత్రమే', అధర్మేణ అంటే 'అధర్మం' లేదా 'మత సంబంధమైనది' మరియు కుటుంబ-భరణం అంటే 'కుటుంబ నిర్వహణ.' ఒకరి కుటుంబాన్ని పోషించడం ఖచ్చితంగా గృహస్థుని కర్తవ్యం, అయితే గ్రంథాలలో పేర్కొన్న విధంగా నిర్దేశించిన పద్ధతి ద్వారా తన జీవనోపాధిని సంపాదించడానికి ఉత్సాహంగా ఉండాలి. ఒక వ్యక్తి తన అర్హతను బట్టి నిజాయితీగా పని చేయాలి. అతను తన జీవనోపాధిని అన్యాయంగా సంపాదించు కోకూడదు, దాని ద్వారా అతను అర్హత పొందలేదు. తన అనుచరులకు ఆధ్యాత్మిక జీవన విధానంతో జ్ఞానోదయం కలిగించడానికి పూజారిగా పనిచేసే బ్రాహ్మణుడు పూజారిగా అర్హత పొందకపోతే, అతను ప్రజలను మోసం చేసినట్లే. ఇలాంటి అన్యాయమైన మార్గాల ద్వారా సంపాదించకూడదు. క్షత్రియుడికి లేదా వైశ్యుడికి కూడా అదే వర్తిస్తుంది. కృష్ణ చైతన్యంలో ముందుకు సాగడానికి ప్రయత్నిస్తున్న వారి జీవనోపాధి చాలా న్యాయంగా ఉండాలని ప్రత్యేకంగా పేర్కొనబడింది. అన్యాయమైన మార్గాల ద్వారా జీవనోపాధి పొందేవాడు (కేవలెనా) చీకటి నరక ప్రాంతానికి పంపబడ్డాడని ఇక్కడ ప్రస్తావించబడింది. అలా కాకుండా నిర్దేశించిన పద్ధతులతో, నిజాయితీతో కుటుంబాన్ని పోషించుకుంటే, కుటుంబసభ్యుడిగా ఉండేందుకు ఎలాంటి అభ్యంతరం లేదు.*

*33. ekaḥ prapadyate dhvāntaṁ hitvedaṁ sva-kalevaram*
*kuśaletara-pātheyo bhūta-droheṇa yad bhṛtam*
*MEANING : Three words in this verse are very significant. Kevalena means "only by black methods," adharmeṇa means "unrighteous" or "irreligious," and kuṭumba-bharaṇa means "family maintenance." Maintaining one's family is certainly the duty of a householder, but one should be eager to earn his livelihood by the prescribed method, as stated in the scriptures.*
*One should work honestly according to his qualification. He should not earn his livelihood unfairly, by means for which he is not qualified. If a brāhmaṇa who works as a priest so that he may enlighten his followers with the spiritual way of life is not qualified as a priest, then he is cheating the public. One should not earn by such unfair means. The same is applicable to a kṣatriya or to a vaiśya. It is especially mentioned that the means of livelihood of those who are trying to advance in Kṛṣṇa consciousness must be very fair and uncomplicated. Here it is mentioned that he who earns his livelihood by unfair means (kevalena) is sent to the darkest hellish region. Otherwise, if one maintains his family by prescribed methods and honest means, there is no objection to one's being a family man.*

*🌻 20. ఒక బిందువుకి మరో బిందువుకి సంబంధం ఉందా? 🌻*
*మనం సంబంధాల గురించి చాలా ఆసువుగా మాట్లాడుకుంటున్నాం. అంటే నేను ఈ బల్లను తాకినప్పుడు నా వేలు ఆ బల్ల తో ఒక సంబంధం కలిగి ఉన్నట్లు. అప్పుడు అసలు ఈ స్పర్శ అంటే ఏంటి అనే ప్రశ్న తలెత్తుతుంది. అసలు నా వేలు నిజంగా ఆ బల్లతో ఒక సంబంధాన్ని కలిగి ఉందా? గొలుసులో ఒక లంకె ఇంకొక లంకెను తాకుతుందా? తాకుతుందనే అందరూ అనుకుంటారు. కానీ ఈ తాకడం అంటే ఏంటి? ఒక లంకె ఇంకొక లంకెలోకి చొచ్చుకుపోతుందా? లేదా రెండూ లంకెలూ విడివిడిగా బయటే ఉంటాయా? అవి నిజానికి బయటే ఉంటాయి.*

*We have been just glibly talking about relation. In this sense, when I touch this desk, my finger is supposed to be in relation with this desk. The question then becomes, what does ‘touch’ mean? Is my finger really in relation with this desk? Is a link in a chain really touching another link? We may say, “Yes, it is touching,” but what is this ‘touch’? Does one link enter into touch with another link? Is there a relation of one link with another link? In a chain, does one link enter into another link, or does it lie outside another link? It does not enter—it remains outside.*
*In a relation of this kind, which is perhaps the larger amount of relations in the world, the connected items lie outside each other. The child may be related to the mother, but it does not enter into the mother, or the mother does not enter into the child. They are outside each other and exclusive, even though the child may be so near the mother that she feels it as an inseparable part of herself. Yet, one is outside the other. This sort of exclusive relationship is the so-called relationship of most things in this world. That is why, though things seem to be related to one another, sometimes they depart from one another.*

As he is able to make his free will devoid of any extraneous influences (as he is always endowed with God consciousness alone), resulting in realization of the oneness of the universe, he is able to exercise his freedom beyond time and space. For a self-realized yogi what has spread out or exists outside as his body or the world is not external, but internal only as an aspect of himself and his pure consciousness.*
