*లేదా (దీర్ఘకాల యోగాభ్యాసము పిమ్మటయు కృతకృత్యుడు కానిచో) అతడు జ్ఞానవంతులైన యోగుల ఇంట జన్మము నొందును. కాని ఈ జగములో అట్టి జన్మము నిశ్చయముగా అరుదుగా నుండును.*
🌷. భాష్యము :
జీవితారంభము నుండియే శిశువునకు ఆధ్యాత్మిక ప్రోత్సాహము లభించును కనుక జ్ఞానవంతులైన యోగుల ఇంట లేదా భక్తుల ఇంట జన్మము అతిఘనముగా ఇచ్చట కీర్తించబడినది. ఇట్టిది ఆచార్యుల వంశమునందు లేదా గోస్వాములు వంశమునందు ప్రత్యేకమైనదియై యున్నది. అట్టి వంశములవారు సంస్కృతి మరియు శిక్షణ కారణమున జ్ఞానవంతులను, భక్తులును అయియుందురు. తత్కారణమున వారు ఆధ్యాత్మికాచార్యులు కాగలరు. భారతదేశమునందు అట్టి ఆచార్యుల వంశములు పెక్కుయున్నను విద్య మరియు శిక్షణ లోపించియున్నందున అవి ప్రస్తుతము పతనము నొందియున్నవి.
అయినను భగవత్కరుణచే అట్టి వంశములు కొన్ని ఇంకను తరతరములుగా భక్తులను వృద్ధిచేయుచున్నవి. అటువంటి వంశములందు జన్మించుట యనునది నిశ్చయముగా మిక్కిలి అదృష్టకరవిషయము. భగవత్కృప చేతనే నా ఆధ్యాత్మిక గురువైన ఓం విష్ణుపాద శ్రీమద్ భక్తిసిద్ధాంతసరస్వతీ గోస్వాములవారును మరియు నేనును అటువంటి భక్తుల వంశములలో జన్మించుటకు అవకాశమును పొందితిమి. ఆ విధముగా జీవితారంభము నుండియు మేము శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుని భక్తియుతసేవ యందు సుశిక్షితులమై తదుపరి దివ్యమగు భగవత్సంకల్పముచే ఒకరినొకరు కలిసికొంటివి.

🌷 Translation :
*Or [if unsuccessful after long practice of yoga] he takes his birth in a family of transcendentalists who are surely great in wisdom. Certainly, such a birth is rare in this world.*
🌹 Purport :
Birth in a family of yogīs or transcendentalists – those with great wisdom – is praised herein because the child born in such a family receives a spiritual impetus from the very beginning of his life. It is especially the case in the ācārya or gosvāmī families. Such families are very learned and devoted by tradition and training, and thus they become spiritual masters. In India there are many such ācārya families, but they have now degenerated due to insufficient education and training.
By the grace of the Lord, there are still families that foster transcendentalists generation after generation. It is certainly very fortunate to take birth in such families. Fortunately, both our spiritual master, Oṁ Viṣṇupāda Śrī Śrīmad Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Gosvāmī Mahārāja, and our humble self had the opportunity to take birth in such families, by the grace of the Lord, and both of us were trained in the devotional service of the Lord from the very beginning of our lives. Later on we met by the order of the transcendental system.

సూతుడిట్లు పలికెను -
తారకుని సంహరించిన కుమారుని ఈ అద్భుత, ఉత్తమ వృత్తాంతమును విని నారదుడు మిక్కిలి ప్రసన్నుడై బ్రహ్మాను ప్రేమతో ఇట్లు ప్రశ్నించెను (1).
నారదుడిట్లు పలికెను -
దేవదేవా! ప్రజానాతా! నీవు శివజ్ఞానమునకు నిధివి. అమృతము కంటె గొప్పది, పవిత్రము అగు కార్తికేయ చరిత్రను నేను వింటిని (2). ఇపుడు గణేశుని ఉత్తమ చరిత్రను, దివ్యము మంగలములలోకెల్లా అతిమంగళమునగు ఆయన జన్మ వృత్తాంతమును వినగోరు చున్నాను (3).
సూతుడిట్లు పలికెను -
మహాముని యగు ఆ నారదుని ఈ మాటను విని బ్రహ్మ ప్రసన్నమగు మనస్సు గలవాడై శివుని స్మరించి ఇట్లు బదులిడెను (4).
బ్రహ్మ ఇట్లు పలికెను -
గణశుని వృత్తాంతమును పూర్వము నేను యథావిధిగా చెప్పయుంటిని. గణశుడు పుట్టుట, శని చూచుటచే ఆతని శిరస్సు భగ్నమగుట, ఏనుగు తలను అతికించుట అను గాథను చెప్పితిని. ఆ గాథ మరియొక కల్పమునకు సంబంధించినది (5). ఇపుడు శ్వేత వరాహకల్పమునకు సంబంధించిన గణశుని పుట్టుక చెప్పబడు చున్నది. ఈ గాథలో దయాళువు అగు శివుడు ఆతని శిరస్సును నరుకును (6).
ఓ మునీ! ఈ విషయములో నీవు సందేహమును పొందకుము. శంకరుడు గొప్ప లీలలను చేయును ఆ శంభుడు సర్వేశ్వరుడు. నిర్గుణుడే అయిననూ సగుణుడు కూడా (7). ఓ మహర్షీ! ఆయన లీలచేతనే జగత్తు సృజించబడి, పాలించబడి, సంహరింపబడు చున్నది. ప్రస్తుత గాథాను శ్రద్ధగా వినుము (8).

2. O lord of gods and people, O storehouse of Śiva’s cult, the excellent story of Kārttikeya, far better than nectar, has been heard by me.
3. Now I wish to hear the excellent story of Gaṇeśa, the details of his divine nativity, auspicious of the auspicious.
Sūta said:—
4. On hearing the words of Nārada the great sage, Brahmā became delighted and replied to him remembering Śiva.
Brahmā said:—
5. Due to the difference of Kalpas, the story of the birth of Gaṇeśa is told in different ways. According to one account he is born of the great lord. His head looked at by Śani[1] was cut off and an elephant’s head was put on him.
6. Now we narrate the story of the birth of Gaṇeśa in Śvetakalpa[2] when his head was cut off by the merciful Śiva.
7. No suspicion need be entertained, O sage. Śiva is certainly the cause of enjoyment and protection. He is the lord of all. Śiva is possessed as well as devoid of attributes.
8. It is by His divine sport that the entire universe is created, sustained and annihilated. O excellent sage, listen to what is relevant to the context, with attention.

*🌻18. పదార్ధం జీవితంతో సమానం అన్నది నిజం కాదు🌻*
*ప్రాణం అంటే ఏమిటి? జీవితం అంటే ఏమిటి? జీవం అనేది స్థూలపదార్థంతో ముడిపడి లేనిది అని జీవశాస్త్రం చెప్తుంది. జీవం సైతం పదార్థం లో ఒక భాగమని నిపుణులు అనేక సందర్భాలలో చెప్పినప్పటికీ ఆ విషయం అర్ధం చేసుకోవడం చాలా మందికి సాధ్యం కాలేదు. ఎవరైనా ఇటుక లోనూ, దేహం లోనూ ఉండే జీవం ఒకటే అంటే, ఆ దేహం లేకపోయినా జీవం మనుగడ సాగుతుంది అంటే ఎలా నమ్ముతారు? మనిషి ఆ దేహం యొక్క స్పృహ లేకుండా కూడా జీవించగలడు. దేహము ప్రాణముతో సమానమైతే, దేహము నుండి విడిపోయినప్పుడు జీవము నశించి పోయేది. కానీ మనిషి కలలలోను, నిద్రలోను, లోతైన ఏకాగ్రత సమయాల్లో సైతం దేహ స్పృహ లేకున్నా సరే జీవించే ఉన్నాడు.*
*శరీరం తన స్పృహకు సంబంధించిన వస్తువు కానటువంటి పరిస్థితుల్లో, పదార్థమే జీవం అన్నది నిజమైతే, మనిషి ఒక్కసారిగా చచ్చిపోతాడు. పదార్ధం అంటే ప్రాణం అన్నది నిజం కాదు. అవి రెండు వేర్వేరు విషయాలు. అయితే ఈ రెండింటి మధ్య సంబంధం ఏమిటో అర్థం చేసుకోవడం కష్టం. జీవితం అంటే ఏమిటో ఎవరూ ఒక నిర్ధారణకు రాలేదు. ఈ జీవం యొక్క శక్తినే ప్రాణశక్తి అంటారు. ఈ ప్రాణ శక్తే, జీవం యొక్క శక్తి. ఈ ప్రణ శక్తినే తేజస్సు అని, జీవశక్తి అని అంటారు. ఇదే మనిషిలో ఉండే స్థూల, సూక్ష్మ మరియు తేజో శక్తులు. కొన్నిసార్లు ప్రాణం శ్వాసతో గుర్తించబడుతుంది. కానీ అది శ్వాస కంటే కూడా సూక్ష్మంగా ఉంటుంది.*

*🌻18. It is not True that Matter is the Same as Life🌻*
*What is meant by prana? What is life? The biologists tell us that there is a thing called life which is incapable of identification with matter. Though, many times, mechanistic materialists have held the opinion that life is not different from matter, it has become very difficult to accept this doctrine. How can anyone say that life is the same as brick, or a body with which one is lumbering, and without which also one can exist? It is seen that man can exist even without being conscious of the body. If the body were the same as life, life would be extinct when it is dissociated from the body. But man is alive even in dream, sleep, and states of deep concentration. In deep meditation one is not aware of the body.*
*Man would be dead at one stroke, if it were true that matter is life, in conditions when the body is not an object of his consciousness. It is not true that matter is the same as life. They are two different things. But it is difficult to understand what the relationship is between these two. No one has ever come to a final conclusion as to what life means. It is this life-force that is called prana-sakti. There is the prana-sakti, the power of the prana. Prana is vitality, living force, organic energy. It is a living, protoplasmic, organismic, and energising vitality in man. Sometimes prana is identified with breath. But it is interior even to breath.*
