*🌷 Translation : O mighty-armed one, all the planets with their demigods are disturbed at seeing Your great form, with its many faces, eyes, arms, thighs, legs and bellies and Your many terrible teeth; and as they are disturbed, so am I.*
*🌹 Purport : The numerous hands, legs, faces, and stomach of God are everywhere. The Śhwetāśhvatar Upaniṣhad states:*
*sahasraśhīrṣhā puruṣhaḥ sahasrākṣhaḥ sahasrapāt*
*sa bhūmiṁ viśhwato vṛitvātyatiṣhṭhaddaśhāṅgulam (3.14)[v5]*
*“The Supreme Entity has thousands of heads, thousands of eyes, and thousands of feet. He envelopes the universe, but is transcendental to it. He resides in all humans, about ten fingers above the navel, in the lotus of the heart.” Those who are beholding and those who are being beheld, the terrified and the terrifying, are all within the universal form of the Lord. Again, the Kaṭhopaniṣhad states:*

*ఆయన బాణముల తుఫానులచే రాక్షసులను దుఃఖింపచేసెను. మరియు భయంకరమగు బాణములను గుప్పించి వారిని నేల గూల్చెను (10). మరియు ఖడ్గరోముని శిరస్సును పరశువుతో నరికి దేహమునుండి వేరు చేసెను. మరియు ఖట్వాంగముతో బలాహకుని శిరస్సును రెండు ముక్కలుగా చేసెను (11). ఆయన ఘస్మరాసురుని పాశముతో బంధించి నేలగూల్చెను. మహావీరుడగు ప్రచుండుని త్రిశూలముతో నరికివేసెను (12). వృషభము కొందరిని సంహరించగా, మరి కొందరు బాణములచే సంహరింపబడిరి. సింహముచే పీడింపబడిన ఏనుగులు వలె ఆ రాక్షసులు అచట నిలబడలేక పోయిరి (13). అపుడు ధైర్యశాలి, మహారాక్షసుడు అగు జలంధరుడు క్రోధముతో నిండిన మనస్సు గలవాడై శుంభాది రాక్షసులను ఆ యుద్ధములో నిందించి ఇట్లు పలికెను (14).*
*జలంధరుడిట్లు పలికెను - శత్రువులచే పృష్ఠ భాగమునందు కొట్టబడుతూ పారిపోయే మీరు మాతృవంశమును గూర్చి గొప్పలను చెప్ప ఫలమేమున్నది.? మేము శూరులమని భావించు వారలు భయపడి పారిపోతూ వధింపబడుట కొని యాడదగినది కాదు; స్వర్గమును ఈయబోదు (15). ఓ అల్పులారా! మీకు యుద్ధమునందు శ్రద్ద ఉన్నచో, హృదయములో దార్ఢ్యము ఉన్నచో, తుచ్ఛసుఖముల యందు తృష్ణలేని వారైనచో కేవలము నా ఎదుట నిలబడుడు (16). యుద్ధములో మరణించుట శ్రేష్ఠము. ఆ మరణము కోర్కెలనన్నిటినీ ఈడేర్చును. సర్వఫలములను, కీర్తిని, మరియు విశేషించి మోక్షమును కూడా ఇచ్చునని మహర్షులచే కీర్తింపబడినది (17).*

10. He afflicted the Daityas with the gusts of wind raised by the arrows. He felled them to the ground with fierce volleys of arrows.
11. He severed the head of Khaḍgaromā from his body with his axe. He shattered the head of Balāhaka with his club into two pieces.
12. He tied the Daitya Ghasmara with his noose and dashed him on the ground. With his trident, he chopped off the great hero Pracaṇḍa.
13. Some of the Asuras were killed by the bull. Some were struck by the arrows. Like elephants harassed by lions, the Asuras were unable to stay there.
14. Then the great Asura Jalandhara became infuriated and rebuked the Daityas in the battle. The courageous Daitya mocked at Śumbha and others and spoke thus.
Jalandhara said:—
15. Of what avail is your boasting about the pedigree of your mother if you flee back on being attacked? To die cowardly while you profess to be heroes is not commendable, nor does it yield heaven.
16. O trivial fellows, if you have faith in war or the essential strength in the heart or if you have no lurking pleasures for sexual indulgence then you come forward and stand before me.
17. Death in battle is preferrable. It yields all cherished desires. It is especially conducive to fame. It has been proclaimed as the bestower of salvation too.
