*తాత్పర్యము : పరమాత్మా! దేహధారియైన ఈ జీవుడు మరొక (తల్లియొక్క) దేహము నందు మలమూత్ర రుధిరముల బావిలో పడియున్నాడు. ఆ స్త్రీ యొక్క జఠరాగ్నిచే ఈ జీవి శరీరము మిగుల తప్తమగు చున్నది. దీని నుండి బయటపడు కోరికతో మాసములను లెక్కించుచున్నాడు. దీనబంధూ! ఈ దీనుడు గర్భకూపము నుండి ఎప్పుడు బయటపడునో గదా?*

*17. dehy anya-deha-vivare jaṭharāgnināsṛg- viṇ-mūtra-kūpa-patito bhṛśa-tapta-dehaḥ*
*icchann ito vivasituṁ gaṇayan sva-māsān nirvāsyate kṛpaṇa-dhīr bhagavan kadā nu*
*MEANING : Fallen into a pool of blood, stool and urine within the abdomen of his mother, his own body scorched by the mother's gastric fire, the embodied soul, anxious to get out, counts his months and prays, "O my Lord, when shall I, a wretched soul, be released from this confinement?"*
*PURPORT : The precarious condition of the living entity within the womb of his mother is described here. On one side of where the child is floating is the heat of gastric fire, and on the other side are urine, stool, blood and discharges. After seven months the child, who has regained his consciousness, feels the horrible condition of his existence and prays to the Lord. Counting the months until his release, he becomes greatly anxious to get out of the confinement. The so-called civilized man does not take account of this horrible condition of life, and sometimes, for the purpose of sense gratification, he tries to kill the child by methods of contraception or abortion. Unserious about the horrible condition in the womb, such persons continue in materialism, grossly misusing the chance of the human form of life.*
*One who does not do so is a miser, just like a person who has immense wealth but does not utilize it, keeping it simply to see. A person who does not actually utilize his human intelligence to get out of the clutches of māyā, the cycle of birth and death, is accepted as miserly. The exact opposite of miserly is udāra, "very magnanimous." A brāhmaṇa is called udāra because he utilizes his human intelligence for spiritual realization. He uses that intelligence to preach Kṛṣṇa consciousness for the benefit of the public, and therefore he is magnanimous.*

*ఓం శబ్దం అనడం కంటే ఒక కంపనం అనడమే సమంజసం. శబ్ధానికి మరియు కంపనానికి మధ్య వ్యత్యాసం ఉంది. శక్తికి శబ్దానికి కూడా వ్యత్యాసం ఉన్నట్లే, శబ్దానికి కంపనానికి మధ్య వ్యత్యాసం ఉంది. శక్తి శబ్దంలా వ్యక్తం అవగలదు. అలాగని రంగులా, రుచిలా, వాసనలా, ఇలా ఎలాగైనా వ్యక్తం అవగలదు. ఎలాగైతే విద్యుచ్ఛక్తి కదలికలా, వేడిలా, కాంతిలా వ్యక్తమవుతోందో, అలాగే మీరు చూసి విని, గ్రహించే ఈ భౌతిక శరీరాలు, పదార్థాలు, విశ్వంలోని సృజనాత్మతకు, సృష్టించే క్రియాశీలకమైన శక్తి యొక్క భౌతిక వ్యక్త రూపాలు. ఇదే భగవంతుని సంకల్ప శక్తి. *

*Om is more a vibration than a sound. There is a difference between sound and vibration, just as energy is not the same as sound, because while energy can manifest itself as sound, it can also manifest itself as something else, such as colour, taste, smell, etc. Just as electric energy can manifest itself as locomotion, as heat, as light, etc., the various configurations in the form of bodies or things in this world are expressions locally of this universal vibration which is the cosmic impulse to create, the creativity or the will of God that is identified with a cosmic energy.*
*Om is the symbol of this cosmic force. From a single point it expands itself into the dimension of this universe in space and time, and from being merely an impersonal, unthinkable, supernatural power, energy or vibration, it becomes visible, tangible, sensible, thinkable and reasonable when it manifests itself as this gross universe and our own bodies. So the chant of Om is not merely a word, but also an effort of the mind in the dissolution of the personality in the causes thereof.*

*ఈ దశలో మనస్సు ఎటువంటి మానసిక సంశ్లేషణ లేకుండా శుద్ధి చేయబడి ఉంటుంది. మనస్సు అపరిశుభ్రంగా ఉంటే, తుర్య దశకు చేరుకోలేము. ఈ సూత్రంలో నొక్కి చెప్పబడిన అంశం ఏమిటంటే, ఒక వ్యక్తి తన స్వయంతో, భగవంతుని చైతన్యంలో లీనమై ఉండాలి. అప్పుడు అది చైతన్యం యొక్క అన్ని స్థితులలోకీ విస్తరించ బడుతుంది. దీనిని ఈ విధంగా సాధన చేస్తే, సాధకుడు లోపల ఉన్న ప్రకాశాన్ని గ్రహించడం ప్రారంభిస్తాడు మరియు అతనికి ప్రాపంచిక ఉనికిని అధిగమించడం సాధ్యమవుతుంది. అంతిమంగా తార్కిక స్థాయిలో దేవుడు సాక్షాత్కరింప బడతాడు. సాధకుడు దీనిలో మరింత ముందుకు సాగినప్పుడు, అతను తన మానసిక స్థితిని కూడా విడిచిపెట్టి, ఎప్పటికీ దైవంతో కలిసిపోతాడు.*

*🌴. Through mental absorption (chitta magna) by abiding in the steady state of contemplation (asana), one should reach the self through one’s own consciousness (svachitta). 🌴*
*Mind at this stage remains purified, devoid of any mental synthesis. If the mind remains impure, turya stage cannot be reached. The point underlined in this sūtra is that one should get absorbed into his own Self, the God consciousness, which gets proliferated in all the states of consciousness. If this is practiced, the aspirant begins to realise the illumination within and transcending mundane existence becomes possible. It is ultimately in the seat of the faculty of reasoning, where God is realised and not otherwise. When the aspirant proceeds further, he leaves behind his psychological state also and stays attuned with Him forever.*
