నారదుడు పలికెను:
పూజ్యములైన వాసుదేవాది మంత్రముల లక్షణము చెప్పెదను. ఆదియందు "నమో భగవతే" అను పదములో కలవి, అ, ఆ, అం, అః అను బీజాక్షరములతో కూడినవి ఓంకారము ఆది యందు కలవి, 'నమః' అనునది అంతమందు కలవి అయిన "వాసుదేవ' 'సంకర్షణ' 'ప్రద్యుమ్న' 'అనిరుద్ధ' అను పదములచే "ఓం అ నమో భగవతే వాసుదేవాయ" ఓం ఆ నమో భగవతే సంకర్షణాయ" "ఓం అం నమో భగవతే ప్రద్యుమ్నాయ" "ఓం అః నమో భగవతే అనిరుద్దాయ" అను మంత్రము లేర్పడును, పిమ్మట "ఓం నమో నారాయణాయ" అను మంత్రము.
"ఓం తత్సద్బ్రహ్మణే నమః" "ఓం నమో విష్ణవే నమః" ఓం క్షౌ ఓం నమో భగవతే నరసింహాయ నమః" "ఓం భూర్భగవతే వరాహాయ నమః" (ఇవి మంత్రములు). జపా పుష్పము వలె అరుణమైన రంగు పుసుపువంటి రంగు నీల - శ్యామల - లోహిత వర్ణములు, మేఘ - అగ్ని - మధువుల వంటి రంగులు, పింగవర్ణము గల తొమ్మండుగురు నరాధిపులు నీటికి నాయకులు, తంత్రవేత్తలు విభజించిన విధముగ స్వరరూపము లైన బీజాక్షరములకు ఆ యా మంత్రము లందలి నామములను చివర చేర్చి హృదయాద్యంగములను కల్పించవలెను. వ్యంజనాది బీజాక్షరముల లక్షణము వేరుగా ఉండును.
'నమః' అనునది అంతము నందు గల మంత్రముల మధ్య దీర్ఘ స్వరములతో గూడి యున్న వ్యంజనములు అంగము లనియు, హ్రస్వస్వరములతో కూడినవి ఉపాంగము లనియు చెప్పబడును.
దీర్ఘ హ్రస్వములతో కూడినదియు, సాంగోపాంగస్వరములతో కూడినదియు, విభజింపబడిన నామాక్షరముల అంతమునందు ఉన్నదియు అగు బీజక్షరము ఉత్తమ మైనది. హృదయాది కల్పనమునకు వ్యంజనముల క్రమ మిది - తన నామము అంతము నందు గల అంగనామములతే విభక్తములై స్వబీజాక్షరముతో కూడిన, ఐదు మొదలు పండ్రెండు వరకును ఉన్న హృదయాదులను కల్పించి సిద్ధికి అనుగుణముగా ఉండునట్లు జపించవలెను.

*🌻 Worship regarding Vāsudeva, Saṅkarṣaṇa, Pradyumna and Aniruddha - 1 🌻*
Nārada said:
1. I shall now describe to you the characteristics of the adorable formulae related to Vāsudeva and others. Vāsudeva, Saṅkarṣaṇa, Pradyumna and Aniruddha (are the four forms).
2. (The words) salutations to the lord (are said) at first along with the mystical letters a, ā, am, aḥ. (Then) beginning with the syllable ‘Om’ (and) ending with (the word) salutations and then (the words) salutations to Nārāyaṇa (are uttered).
3. Oṃ, salutations to the eternal Brahmā, Om, salutations to Viṣṇu, Om, Kṣaum, Om, salutations to the Lord Narasiṃha (are uttered).
4-6. Oṃ, bhūḥ[1], salutations to lord Varāha. The lords of men having the colour of japā (flower) (red), brown, yellow, blue, black, red, the colour of a cloud, fire, honey, (and) tawny, (are) the nine lords of vowels (and) mystical letters. The heart and the different limbs are resolved in order along with their respective names being well divided by those proficient in the tantras (branch of literature dealing with the magical and mystical worship of different deities). The characteristics of those mystical letters which are consonants are different.
7. They are divided by long vowels ending with (the word) ‘salutation’. The limbs situated in between yoked with short (vowels) are described as minor limbs.
8. The mystic syllable situated at the end of the last letter of the name which is divided is excellent. The principal and minor limbs (are composed)of long and short vowels inorder.
9-10. This is the method (of use) of consonants for arrangement in the heart (and) other (limbs). One has to repeat according to his accomplishment (the mystic formula) divided into the mystic basic syllable and their ending names (along with) the names of limbs, after having resolved the yoked twelve (limbs) beginning with the heart etc.

అగ్ని ఇట్లు పలికెను--
దేవదేవా! మహేశ్వరా! మూఢుడనగు నేను నీ సేవకుడను. నా అపరాధమును క్షమించి, నా తపమును తొలగించుము (43). ఓ స్వామీ! నీవు దీనవత్సలుడు, పరమేశ్వరుడు అగు శంకరుడవు (44).
బ్రహ్మ ఇట్లు పలికెను-
దీనవత్సలుడు, పరమేశ్వరుడు అగు ఆ శంభుడు అగ్ని యొక్క ఈ పలుకులను విని ప్రసన్నమగు మనస్సు గలవాడై అగ్నితో నిట్లనెను (45).
శివుడిట్లు పలికెను-
నీవు నా తేజస్సును గ్రహించి తప్పు పనిచేసితివి. అధికపాపమును చేసినావు గాన, నా ఆజ్ఞచే నీకీ తాపము తొలగలేదు (46). ఓ అగ్నీ! ఇపుడు నీవు నన్ను శరణుపొందినావు గాన, నేను ప్రసన్నుడనైతిని. నీకు దుఃఖమంతయూ తొలగి సుఖము లభించ గలదు (47). నా తేజస్సును ఒక యోగ్యమగు స్త్రీ యందు నిక్షేపించుము. నీకు తాపము పూర్తిగా తొలగి, సుఖమును పొందగలవు (48).
బ్రహ్మిట్లు పలికెను-
శంభుని ఈ మాటను విని, అగ్ని చేతులు జోడించి నమస్కరించి భక్తులకు సుఖములనొసంగు శంకరునితో ప్రీతి పూర్వకముగా నిట్లనెను (49). ఓ నాథా! మహేశ్వరా! ధరింప శక్యము కాని ఈ నీ తేజస్సును ధరించ గల స్త్రీ ముల్లోకములలో శక్తి తక్క మరియొకరు లేరు (50). ఓ మహర్షీ! అగ్ని ఇట్లు పలుకగా, హృదయములో శంకరునిచే ప్రేరితుడవైన నీవు అగ్నికి ఉపకారమును చేయగోరి ఇట్లు పలికితివి (51).

47. Now that you have sought refuge in me you are sure to be happy. I am pleased with you. All your misery will be dissolved.
48. Deposit carefully that semen in the womb of some good woman. You will become happy and particularly relieved of the burning sensation.
Brahmā said:—
49. On hearing these words of Śiva, Agni replied to Śiva, the benefactor of the devotees with pleasure and bowing down with palms joined in reverence.
50. “O lord Śiva, this splendour of yours is inaccessible and unbearable. There is no woman in the three worlds except Pārvatī to hold it in her womb.”
51. O excellent sage, when fire said like this, you, urged by Śiva, said thus in order to help Agni.

*A question may arise, being Śiva’s wife how She can sit on a couch with Śiva as its base and Sadāśiva (the higher form of Śiva) as the cushion. In scientific parlance, two objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time.*
*Therefore it becomes possible to interpret that Śiva and Śaktī are no way different from each other. That is why Śiva- Śaktī union assumes great importance. Scriptures also point out, that the state of bliss can be attained, only by those who always remain with Her thought and not by those who solely resort to materialistic living. *
