పిమ్మట తాడనముచేత విడిపించి, తత్పరత్వముతో తనలో గ్రహించి, దేవునితో సంబంధింప చేసి, పరిశోధనము చేసి, దేవస్వరూపమున గ్రహించి, శుద్ధభావముతో తీసికొని వచ్చి, క్రమముగ సంధింపచేసి, ధ్యానమోగము నవలంబించి జ్ఞానముద్రతో శోధింపవలెను.
సర్వతత్త్వములను శుద్ధము లైన పిమ్మట ప్రధాను డగు ఈశ్వరుడు మాత్రము ఉండగా, శిష్యులను(పాశములను) దహించి నిర్వాపితులను చేయవలెను. ఈశ్వరస్థానమున వారిని నియుక్తులను చేయవలెను. లేదా దేశికోత్తముడు సాధికుని సిద్ధిమార్గమును పొందింపచేయవలెను.
అధికారము గల గృహస్థుడు ఈ విధముగ కర్మాచరణవిషయమున అలసత్వము లేనివాడై, రాగము క్షీణించు వరకును ఆత్మశోధనము చేసికొనుచు ఉండవలెను.
తన కున్నరాగము క్షీణించిన దను విషయము గుర్తించి, పాపము లన్నియు తొలగిన ఆతడు పుత్రునకు గాని శిష్యునకు గాని అధికారము అప్పగించి, సంయమియై, మాయామయ మగు పాశమును దహింపచేసకిని, సన్యాసము స్వీకరించి, ఆత్మచింతాపరాయణుడై, తన స్థితిని ఇతరులకు వ్యక్తముచేయక శరీరపాతమునకై (మరణమునకై) వేచి యుండవలెను.
అగ్ని మహాపురాణములో సర్వదీక్షాకథన మను ఇరువదిఏడవ అధ్యాయము సమాప్తము.

*🌻 Mode of performing the initiation rite - 8 🌻*
70. As before all the principles have to be purified gradually by beating etc. on the altar of Hari. Then (he) who is bent on the inquiry of the self has to set them aside after having taken them, and beating.
71. He should purify them befitting their nature and unite them with the deity. They are then collected with pure mental disposition and yoked in order.
72- 73. By means of contemplative mood and the pose of knowledge (jñānamudrā) (they) are all purified. When all the principles have been thus purified and the Supreme lord remains. as the main, the principles have to be burnt and (the fire) extinguished and the disciples have to be engaged in the service of the Lord. Then the excellent preceptor should conduct the aspirant on the path of accomplishment.
74. In the same manner, a householder becomes qualified by remaining vigilant in (the performance of) the rites. One has to remain purifying his self until there is dissipation of anger.
75. After having known himself as shorn of anger and purified from sins, a self-controlled person should confer the right on (his) son or the disciple.
76. After having burnt the noose composed of illusion, renouncing and remaining in (the contemplation) of the self, he, who possesses the unmanifest form, should remain waiting for the decay of his body.

కార్తికేయుడిట్లు పలికెను -
సోదరా! నీకు సర్వము దెలియును. నీవు త్రికాల జ్ఞానివి. మృత్యుంజయుడగు శివుని ఆశ్రయించిన నిన్ను ఏమని ప్రశంసించవలెను? (61) సోదరా! ప్రాణులు తమ పూర్వకార్మాను సారముగా ఏయే యోనులయందు జన్మింతురో, వాటి యందే ఆనందమును పొందుచుందురు (62).
ప్రకృతి యొక్క అంశములగు ఈ కృత్తికలు జ్ఞానము గల యోగినులు. నేను వీరి స్తన్యము చేత, మరియు వీరు చేసిన నిరంతర సేవ చేత పెరిగి పెద్దవాడనైతిని (63). నేను వీరి పెంపుడు కొడుకును. ఈ స్త్రీలు నా వంశమునకు చెందిన వారే. వీరు ఆ ప్రకృతి యొక్క అంశలు. నేను ఆ స్వామి యొక్క తేజస్సు నుండి జన్మించితిని (64).
ఓ నందీశ్వరా! పార్వతితో నా బంధుత్వమునకు భంగము లేదు. ఆమె నాకు ధర్మసిద్ధమైన తల్లి. వీరు కూడా నాకు తల్లులు అను విషయము సర్వసమ్మతము (65).
నిన్ను శంభుడు పంపెను. మహాత్ముడవగు నీవు శంభుని పుత్రునితో సమానమైన వాడవు. నేను నీతో వచ్చి దేవతలనందరినీ చూచెదను (66). అతనితో ఇట్లు పలికి కార్తికేయుడు కృత్తికల అనుమతిని పొంది శంకరుని గణములతో బాటు పయనమయ్యెను (67).
శ్రీ శివమహాపురాణములోని రుద్రసంహితయందు కుమారఖండములో కార్తికేయుని వెదుకుట అనే నాల్గవ అధ్యాయము ముగిసినది (4).

62. O brother, people get reconciled to whatever form of species of life they are born. Their own actions are responsible for their birth and they are satisfied.
63. The Kṛttikās are wise women of Yogic practice. They are the digits of Prakṛti. They have helped in nurturing me with their own breast milk.
64. I am their fostered son. They are my own part and parcel. I am born of Prakṛti and the semen of the lord of Prakṛti.
65. O Nandikeśvara, I am not severed from the daughter of the lord of mountains who is virtually my mother just as these ladies on the basis of virtuous rites.
66. You have been sent by Śiva. You are like a son unto Śiva. I am coming with you. I shall see the gods.
67. After saying so and hurriedly taking leave of the Kṛttikās, Kārttikeya started along with the attendants of Śiva.

*మనుషులు పాతవాటికి అతుక్కుపోతే మార్పు ఆగిపోతుంది. కొత్తదనంతో మార్పు వస్తుంది. పాతదానితో ఎటువంటి మార్పు ఉండదు, కానీ ప్రజలు పాతదాన్ని అంటిపెట్టుకుని ఉంటారు ఎందుకంటే ఇది సురక్షితంగా, సౌకర్యవంతంగా, సుపరిచితమైనదిగా కనిపిస్తుంది. మీరు దానితో జీవించారు, కాబట్టి మీకు అది తెలుసు, మీరు దానిలో నైపుణ్యం కలిగి ఉన్నారు, దాని గురించి జ్ఞానం కలిగి ఉన్నారు. మళ్లీ కొత్తదనంతో మీరు అజ్ఞానులుగా ఉంటారు. కొత్తదానితో మీరు తప్పులు చేయవచ్చు; కొత్తదానితో, అది ఎక్కడికి దారితీస్తుందో ఎవరికి తెలుసు? అందువల్ల భయం పుడుతుంది, మరియు ఈ భయం వల్ల మీరు పాతదానికి కట్టుబడి ఉంటారు. మరియు మీరు పాతదాన్ని పట్టుకోవడం ప్రారంభించిన క్షణం, మీరు ప్రవహించడం ఆగిపోయారు. కొత్తదనానికి అందుబాటులో ఉండండి. ఎప్పుడూ గతానికి చచ్చిపోతూనే ఉండండి. అది పూర్తయింది!*

*She is without comparison. Brahman is infinite and a person with finite (limited) cannot describe Him. Śvetāśvatara Upaniṣad (IV.19) says, “There is no way of describing Him. All you can say about Him is that He is what He is”.*
*Śaṃkara says “There is nothing like Him and nothing to which He can be compared. He is one without a second. He is limitless. The only way you can describe Him is to refer to His uniqueness, which is really saying nothing.”*
*There is a story about this concept. Two brothers were sent by their father to a guru to pursue the spiritual path. When they returned, father asked both of them to describe God. The elder brother gave an extensive lecture about God. When the younger one was asked, he kept quiet.*
*Their father said ‘You are not saying anything because, you realized that God is a subject about which nothing can be said without making a mistake’. This is the concept of God. Nobody can describe the Brahman in totality. At the most one can discuss about Him only by affirmations and negations.*
