🕉 ప్రతి ఇంటిలో దక్షిణామూర్తి యొక్క పటము ఖచ్చితంగా ఉండాలి. దక్షిణామూర్తి పటాన్ని ఉంచి ఏ ఇంటిలో పది నిమిషాలు రోజు ఆయనను చూస్తూ దక్షిణా మూర్తి యొక్క స్తోత్రాన్ని పఠిస్తూ ఉంటారో అటువంటి వారికి ఇంటిలో కష్టములు ఉండవు. దక్షిణామూర్తిని చూసేటటువంటి వారికి దక్షిణామూర్తి స్తోత్రాన్ని పఠించేటటు వంటి వారికి తెలియక చేసినటువంటి పాపములు నశిస్తాయి. వారికి రాబోవు కష్టములు తొలగించి వారిని దక్షిణామూర్తి రక్షిస్తాడని పురాణాలు చెబుతున్నాయి.

🕉 ఏ దయవలన దుఃఖం పూర్తిగా నిర్మూలనమవుతుందో ఆ 'దయ'ను 'దాక్షిణ్యం' అంటారు. ఈ లోకంలో శాశ్వతంగా దుఃఖాన్ని నిర్మూలించగలిగే శక్తి (దాక్షిణ్యం) భగవంతునికి మాత్రమే ఉంది. ఆ దాక్షిణ్య భావం ప్రకటించిన రూపమే దక్షిణామూర్తి. అన్ని దుఃఖాలకీ కారణం అజ్ఞానం. అజ్ఞానం పూర్తిగా తొలగితేనే శాశ్వత దుఃఖవిమోచనం. ఆ అజ్ఞానాన్ని (అవిద్యను) తొలగించే జ్ఞాన స్వరూపుని దాక్షిణ్య విగ్రహమే దక్షిణామూర్తి. వసిష్ఠుడు కూడా తపస్సుతో దక్షిణామూర్తిని ప్రత్యక్షం చేసుకొని బ్రహ్మవిద్యను సంపాదించాడు.

🕉 There should definitely be a picture of Dakshinamurthy in every home. Those who keep a picture of Dakshinamurthy in their home and recite the hymns of Dakshinamurthy for ten minutes a day will not have any difficulties in their home. Those who see Dakshinamurthy and recite the hymns of Dakshinamurthy will get rid of their sins that they have committed without knowing. The Puranas say that Dakshinamurthy will protect them by removing the difficulties that will come to them.

🕉 The 'kindness' by which sorrow is completely eradicated is called 'Dakshinya'. Only God has the power (Dakshinya) to permanently eradicate sorrow in this world. Dakshinamurthy is the form that manifests that feeling of Dakshina. The cause of all sorrow is ignorance. Only when ignorance is completely eradicated is there permanent liberation from sorrow. Dakshinamurthy is the southern idol of the embodiment of knowledge that removes ignorance (avidya). Vasishtha also attained Brahmavidya by seeing Dakshinamurthy through penance.
