🌷 Translation :
All the sons of Dhṛtarāṣṭra, along with their allied kings, and Bhīṣma, Droṇa, Karṇa – and our chief soldiers also – are rushing into Your fearful mouths. And some I see trapped with heads smashed between Your teeth.
🌹 Purport :
In a previous verse the Lord promised to show Arjuna things he would be very interested in seeing.
Now Arjuna sees that the leaders of the opposite party (Bhīṣma, Droṇa, Karṇa and all the sons of Dhṛtarāṣṭra) and their soldiers and Arjuna’s own soldiers are all being annihilated.
This is an indication that after the death of nearly all the persons assembled at Kurukṣetra, Arjuna will emerge victorious. It is also mentioned here that Bhīṣma, who is supposed to be unconquerable, will also be smashed.
So also Karṇa. Not only will the great warriors of the other party like Bhīṣma be smashed, but some of the great warriors of Arjuna’s side also.

మాకు బహుమతిగా ఇచ్చిన కాలి అందెలను తీసుకొని మా ప్రయాణం సాగించాము. మేము నడుస్తున్నంత మేర మధురమైన ఆ అందెలరవళి మా మనసులను పరవ శింపచేసి ఏదో తెలియని దివ్యశక్తి అనాహతం నుండి ఇతర చక్రాలలోకి, అన్ని నాడులకు ప్రవహించి మాలో నూతన శక్తిని కలుగచేసింది.
మేము గ్రామపు పొలిమేరల దగ్గరకు చేరాము. ఊరు చివర చండాల కులానికి సంబంధించిన వాళ్ళు నివసించే చోట ఒక ఆశ్రమాన్ని చూసి ఆశ్చర్య పోయాము. ఆశ్రమం దగ్గరకు చేరగానే అందెలరవళి ఆగి పోయింది.
ఇంతలో ఆశ్రమం నుండి 60ఏండ్ల తేజస్వి అయిన మహర్షి, 30ఏళ్ళ ఒక యోగినీ మాత బయటకు వచ్చారు. మమ్మల్ని సాదరంగా లోపలకు తీసుకొని వెళ్ళి తాను పీఠికాపుర వాస్తవ్యుడనని, మొదటి పేరు వేదాంత శర్మ అని, ప్రస్తుతము బంగారయ్యప్ప అని పిలవబడు తున్నానని, ఆమె బంగారమ్మ అనే చర్మకారస్త్రీ అని, మాతంగి ఉపాసకులమని మాతో చెప్పారు.
మాకంతా అయోమయంగా ఉంది. వారు బ్రాహ్మణులు, ఆ స్త్రీ మాదిగ కాంత, ఇది ఏమి దాంపత్యం? అని మనసులో ఒక సందేహం. మాకు కందమూలాలు, పండ్లు ఇచ్చాక వారి వృత్తాంతాన్ని ఇలా చెప్పారు:
🌻. వేదాంతశర్మ కథనం 🌻
“నేను పీఠికాపురంలో ఉన్నపుడు మూడుమార్లు వివాహం చేసుకున్నాను. కాని ముగ్గురు భార్యలూ మరణించారు. శ్రీపాదులు నాతో హాస్యంగా, ‘తాతా! నేను చూపిన మామ్మని వివాహం చేసుకోకుండా, ధర్మపత్నిగా మాత్రం స్వీకరిస్తే ఉత్తమ జన్మని ప్రసాదిస్తాను,’ అంటుండేవారు.
పీఠికాపురంలోనే బంగారయ్య, బంగారమ్మ అనే చర్మకార దంపతులు ఉండేవారు. వారిద్దరికి శ్రీపాదులపై మక్కువ ఎక్కువ. ఒకరోజు ఉన్నట్లుండి శ్రీపాదులు చర్మపాదుకలు కావాలని కోరారు. బ్రాహ్మణులు చెక్కపాదుకలను ధరించాలే కాని చర్మ పాదుకలు ధరించ కూడదని ఇంటిలోని వారు నిరాకరించారు.
శ్రీపాదులు యధేచ్ఛ గా అన్ని కులాలవారి ఇంటికి వెళ్ళుతుండేవారు. ఆ రోజు శ్రీపాదులు ఉన్నట్లుండి బంగారమ్మ వాళ్ళింట్లో ప్రత్యక్ష మయ్యారు వారి కొలతలు తీసుకున్నాక, ‘ప్రభూ! నా చర్మం ఒలిచి మీ చెప్పులు కుట్టాలని ఉంది,’ అని బంగారమ్మ తన కోరికను వ్యక్తం చేసింది. వారు నవ్వి అంతర్ధాన మయ్యారు.
వాళ్ళ ఇంట్లో ఉన్న ఆవు చనిపోయింది, దాని చర్మంతో చెప్పులజత తయారయింది. అదే సమయంలో పీఠికా పురంలోని బ్రాహ్మణులు ఒక వేదాంత గోష్ఠిని ఏర్పాటు చేసారు. గోష్ఠికి ఎవరెవరిని ఆహ్వానించాలో నిర్ణయించే బాధ్యత నాపై పడింది.
శ్రీపాదులు ఉపనయనం అయ్యాక ఒక్కరోజు కూడా వేదం నేర్చుకోలేదు, కాని ఎక్కడ నుండి ఏ పన్నమును చెప్పమన్న చెప్పి దాన్ని విశ్లేషించే వారు. అందుచేత వారు ధర్మసూత్రాలను ఎలా విశ్లేషిస్తారో వినాలన్న కుతూహలంతో నేను వారిని కూడా ఆహ్వా నించాను.
అయితే, శ్రీపాదులు సభలో ధర్మ విరుద్ధంగా మాట్లాడితే ఆ వంకన రాజశర్మ, బాపనార్యుల కుటుంబాలను వెలి వేయవచ్చు అనేదే అసలు ఈ గోష్ఠిని ఏర్పాటు చేయడంలోని బ్రాహ్మణుల ముఖ్య ఉద్దేశం.

Later Sripada said, ‘both of you cross the river Krishna and go to the other side. You go to ‘Maanchaala’ village. The village Goddess of ‘Maanchaala’ will bless you.
After receiving that Mother’s blessings you come back to Kurungadda. Know that I will be always watching you wherever you are and however far you are.
In future Maanchaala village will become world famous. It will become famous because of the presence of the live Samadhi of a Maha Purusha.
Just like there is a gross Peethikapuram, there is a subtle Peethikapuram also. That is Swarna Peethikapuram’. It is established in the light aura surrounding My gross body.
People who get my grace will have their ‘chaitanyam’ established in Swarna Peethikapuram whether they belong to any ‘Yugam’, any country or any time. This thing is known to all who have ‘yoga drishti’ (yoga vision).
People who are able to earn a place in Swarna Peethikapuram for their ‘jeeva chaitanyam’, are blessed. I will be behind them in birth after birth and protect them.
My Dear! Shankar Bhatt! After many hundreds of years, Maha Samsthanam will be established in my name, in my maternal grandfather’s house.
My ‘padukas’ will be installed under the shade of an Oudumber tree. My idol, the idol of my previous avathar, and the idol of my next avathar will be also installed.

ఇతర దేశాలలో వేదాధ్యయనం చేస్తూన్న వారు కొన్ని లక్షల మంది ఉన్నారు ఏదో ఒక రకంగా ప్రొద్దున్నే రోజూ కాస్సేపు గుణగుణలాడి దేవుని దగ్గర సణిగినట్లుగా చేసి ఆఫీసుకి పోయినట్లుగా కాక వారు చాలా నిష్ఠగా చేస్తూ ఉన్నారు. ప్రతిరోజూ ఉదయం, సాయంత్రం గాయత్ర్తీ మంత్రం ప్రపంచశాంతికై చేస్తూన్న వాళ్ళు ఉన్నారు.
ప్రపంచ శాంతికై, ఒక దేశానికి మరొక దేశానికి మధ్య యుద్ధం రాకుండా ఉండటం కొరకు, ప్రపంచంలోని మానవజాతి శాంతిగా ఉండాలి, పరస్పరం ఒకరికొకరు సమన్వయంతో ఉండాలి అనే దృష్టితో అహోరాత్రాలు నమకచమకాలు చేస్తూన్నవారు, ప్యారిస్ లో, లండను లో, కొన్ని వేల మంది ఇప్పటికి 6 సంవత్సరాల నుండి చేస్తున్నారు (1980-82 నాటికి) అఖండమైన నామజపం కూడా ఇప్పుడు చెప్పిన దేశాలలోను మరియు న్యూయార్కులోను కొన్ని వేల మంది ఉన్నారు. ఈ విధంగా అఖండ నామజపం కూడా (24 గంటలు) 6 సంవత్సరాల నుండి నడుస్తున్నది.

9. రూపగోస్వామి ప్రకారం కర్మ జ్ఞానాదుల చేత ఆవరింపబడ కుండా ఉన్నప్పుడు, అతడిలో ఏ స్థిరమైన భగవదానందానుభవముంటుందో అదే పరాభక్తి అవుతుంది.
కర్మ జ్ఞానాదులచేత ఆవరింపబడినవాడు జీవుడు గనుక, పరాభక్తిలో జీవభావం నశిస్తుంది. అన్ని విధాలైన ఆవరణ దోషాలు నశిస్తే, మిగిలేది స్థిరరూప పరమానందానుభవమే. అదే పరాభక్తి.
10. భగవత్సాక్షాత్కారమే పరాభక్తి. సాక్షాత్కారమన్నా అపరోక్షాను భవమన్నా, ఆ భగవంతునితో ఐక్యతానుసాంధానరూప పరమానందమే. ఇదే సాయుజ్యం అనబడుతుంది.
11. యమునాచార్యుల ప్రకారం, భగవద్వియోగ భయమే పరాభక్తి అవుతుంది.
చిన్న పిల్లలు భయపడినప్పుడు తల్లిని కౌగిలించుకొని బయటి వస్తువుల ద్వారా కలిగిన భయం నుండి విడుదలై తల్లియందు ఏలాగున సేద తీరుతారో, అదే విధంగా భక్తుడు భగవంతునిలో చేరి నిర్భయుడౌతాడు.
భగవంతుని నుండి వేరవడానికి భయపడతాడని చెప్పడంలో అర్థం భగవంతునితో మమేకమౌతాడని చెప్పడమే అవుతుంది.
ఈ విధంగా పరాభక్తి లక్షణాలను వారి వారి అనుభవాలను బట్టి అనేక మతస్థులు, స్వానుభవపరులు వివరించారు.

బుద్ధి+ జ్ఞానేంద్రియములు ఐదింటిని కలిపి విజ్ఞానమయ కోశము అని అంటారు.
విజ్ఞానమయకోశము కర్తృస్వభావము కలిగినటువంటిది. ఈ కర్తృత్వము వలననే కర్మలను నేను చేయుచున్నాను అను భావనకు లోనగుట ,కర్మలన్నింటి ఫలములు తన ఖాతాలో జమ అగుట , వాటిని సుఖదుఃఖ రూపములో అనుభవించుట, సంసారమునందు, జనన మరణ చక్రమునందు బంధించబడుట జరుగుచున్నది.
దేహముతో తాదాత్మ్యం చెందిన అహంభావనయే విజ్ఞానమయకోశము.
మూడు అవస్థలు ఈ విజ్ఞానమయకోశమునకే. తన కర్మ ఫలములను అనుభవించాలి అను కోరికయే విజ్ఞానమయుడను మేల్కొనేటట్లు చేస్తుంది.
విజ్ఞానమయకోశమునే జీవుడు అంటారు. మనస్సు కేవలము కరణము లేక పనిముట్టు , కనుక జీవత్వబ్రాంతి నుండి విడిపించు బోధ అంతయు విజ్ఞానమయకోశమునకే చేయబడుతుంది.
ఆత్మను కర్తగా భావించుట వలన విజ్ఞానమయము కోశము అగుచున్నది.
విజ్ఞానమయకోశము ఒకప్పుడు వినేవానిగాను, మరొకప్పుడు చూచేవానిగాను. నిరంతరము మార్పు చెందుతూ ఉంటుంది. పరిణామము లేక ఏక రీతిగా ఉండునది ఆత్మ.కనుక విజ్ఞానమయకోశము ఆత్మ కాదు.
దేహముతో తాదాత్మ్యం చెందిన అహంభావన విజ్ఞానమయకోశము. కనుక పరిమితము. ఆత్మ సర్వవ్యాపకము.కనుక విజ్ఞానమయకోశము ఆత్మ కాదు.
విజ్ఞానమయకోశ వ్యాపారము సాక్షికి తెలియబడుచున్నది. నాకు తెలియబడేది నేను కాదు కనుక విజ్ఞానమయకోశము నేను కాదు .
సుషుప్తిలోనికి వెళ్ళినప్పుడు కర్తృత్వము లేదు.సర్వ కాల సర్వ అవస్థల యందు ఉండునది ఆత్మ. కనుక విజ్ఞానమయకోశము ఆత్మ కాదు.
నేను వ్యవహరించే సమయమున
నేను బుద్ధిమంతుడను , నేను బుద్ధిహీనుడను
నేను నడుస్తున్నాను, నేను వింటున్నాను
అని ఇంద్రియ, బుద్ధి వ్యాపారములను దేహముతో తాదాత్మ్యం వలన నేను (ఆత్మ)కు ఆపాదిస్తున్నాము.
ప్రారబ్ధవశమున జీవితకాలమున జరుగవలసిన సంఘటనలు , కలుగవలసిన సుఖదుఃఖ అనుభవములు కలుగుచుండగా అవన్నియు నేను చేయుచున్నాను, నేను అనుభవిస్తున్నాను అను కర్తృత్వ, భోక్త్రుత్వముతో కూడిన జీవ భావమునకు లోనగుచున్నాము.
వీటన్నింటికి విలక్షణమైన సాక్షిస్వరూపుడను నేను.

ప్రభు కృపాకటాక్షం కోసం అనేకమంది సంతులు, మహంతులు, యోగులు, ఫకీరులు మాణిక్ నగర్ కు వస్తూండేవారు. సమర్ధ రామదాసు సంప్రదాయంలోని భక్తి యుతులైన బ్రహ్మచైతన్య గోంద్ వలేకర్ చిన్న వయస్సులో సద్గురువులను వెతుక్కుంటూ మాణిక్ నగర్ కీ వచ్చారు.
'అక్కల్ కోట నుండి బ్రహ్మచైతన్య మహారాజ్ బయలుదేరి మాణిక్ ప్రభు దర్శనం కోసం హుమానాబాద్ కి వెళ్లారు. ఈయన ఏ రోజైతే మాణిక్ నగర్ కి వస్తున్నారో ఆరోజు మాణిక్ ప్రభు ఊరి బయట ఎదురుచూస్తూ కూర్చున్నారు.' భోజన సమయం కావడం వలన శిష్య బృందం ప్రభువును భోజనానికి రమ్మని పిలిచారు.
"అరె! భోజనం ఏమిటి? రోజూ భోజనం చేస్తాము కానీ, ఈరోజు నా సోదరుడు వస్తారు, దాని ముందు మీ భోజనం ఒక లెక్కా అన్నారు. బ్రహ్మచైతన్య గారు వచ్చిన తర్వాత ఇంటికి తీసుకువెళ్లి కొన్నిరోజులు తర్వాత తిరిగి పంపించారు.
🌸 1857 స్వాతంత్ర్య సంగ్రామం 🌸
1857వ సంవత్సరములో ఉత్తర భారతంలో బ్రిటిష్ వారికి విరుద్ధంగా నానాసాహెబ్ పేష్వా, ఝాన్సీరాణి లక్ష్మీబాయి, తాంత్యా తోపే మొదలైన వారు పోరాడారు. నిజాములకు, బ్రిటిష్ వారికి మైత్రి ఉండడం వలన దక్షిణ భారతదేశంలో ఈ విషయంపై ఏ ప్రభావం చూపలేదు. కానీ ప్రభు యొక్క కీర్తి విని నానాసాహెబ్ పేష్వా తన పని నిర్విఘ్నంగా జరగడానికి ప్రభు ఆశీర్వాదం, సహాయం లభించాలని రంగారావు అనే మనిషితో రహస్యంగా పత్రాన్ని ప్రభు వద్దకు పంపించారు.
ఆయన ప్రభు వద్దకు వచ్చి ఆ పత్రాన్ని ఇచ్చి మాటల రూపంలో కూడా నివేదించారు. ప్రభు ప్రేమతో రంగారావుని ఎనిమిది రోజులు మాణిక్ నగర్ లో ఉంచి, చివరికి ప్రసాదంతో పాటు సంగ్రామం కోసం చాలా ధనాన్ని ఇచ్చి "నానాకు నా తరపు నుండి చెప్పండి, కార్యం విజయవంతం కావడానికి ఇంకా చాలా సమయం ఉన్నా కూడా మీ ప్రయత్నాన్ని ఆపవద్దు. విజయవంతం చేయడానికి దత్త ప్రభు సమర్ధులై ఉన్నారు" అని చెప్పారు.

🌻 15. Shri Siddharaj Manik Prabhu (1939 – 2009) - 3 🌻
In the humble opinion of the writer, Shri Siddharaj Manik Prabhu represented the essential characteristics of Shri Dakshinamurti, who through his very silence instructed each one of his disciples to perceive, hear, reflect and meditate upon the Self, which is Truth.
Yajnavalkya had commended to his wife Maitreyi, “Verily, O Maitreyi, it is the Self that is to be seen, heard of, reflected on and meditated upon” (Brihad Aranyak Upanishad II.4.5).
In following the ancient instructions, Shreeji did not find any dichotomy between the vision of the ancient Vedic Seers and the modern scientists. To him, it did not appear strange that when the first atomic bomb was exploded in Nevada, the Atomic Scientist should exclaim quoting the words of Gita:
“If the light of thousand suns were to blaze forth all at once in the sky, that might resemble the splendour of that Exalted Being” (XI.12).
Many of the famous scientists and physicists have bordered between scepticism and belief in an unseen, unknowable Reality which they have not been able to explain. The entire outlook of Shreeji, therefore, represented the ideal of samatvam, equanimity.
He would neither be perturbed with unpleasant invitation nor would he be elated with rapturous reception. His patience and humility was the hallmark of his personality.
His spiritual capacity was shrouded in his childlike simplicity. He was as keen a participant in philosophical discussion as he was in Cricket and other mundane activities.
Brihad Aranyak Upanishad talks of the ideal knower of Brahman. “Let a Brahman (the knower of Brahman), after he has done with learning, desire to live as a child. When he has done both with the state of childhood and with learning, then he becomes a silent spectator.
Having done with both meditative and non-meditative states, then he becomes a Brahman (knower of Brahman)” (III.5.1).
For one who is inculcated in Shri Datta Sampradaya, Shreeji appeared like an Avadhoota, taking life as it came and observing the activities of the world as a Stithaprajna. He identified himself so much with Shri Manik Prabhu that it was common for him to say, “Shri Manik Prabhu’s Will prevails…”
He had nothing of his own, needed nothing for himself. He had the simplicity of Shri Manik Prabhu as well as the grandeur of the Seat which he occupied.

Oh, mother who is ever present, those who realize the essence, of the limitless pleasure of the soul you give, and who add the seed letter iim of the god of love, the seed letter hrim of the goddess Bhuavaneswari, and the seed letter srim of the goddess Lakshmi, which are the three letter triad,wear the garland of the gem of thoughts, and offer oblations to the fire in triangle of Shiva, with the pure scented ghee of the holy cow, Kamadhenu, several times and worship you.

🌷. భాష్యము :
మహాత్ములైనవారి వర్ణనము ఈ శ్లోకమున స్పష్టముగా ఒసగబడినది. దైవీప్రకృతిలో స్థితిని పొందియుండుటయే మహాత్ముల ప్రథమ లక్షణము. అతడెన్నడును భౌతికప్రకృతికి లోబడియుండడు.
అది ఎట్లు సాధ్యమనెడి విషయము సప్తమాధ్యాయమున ఇదివరకే వివరింపబడినది. దేవదేవుడైన శ్రీకృష్ణుని శరణము నొందినవాడు శీఘ్రమే భౌతికప్రకృతి యొక్క అధీనము నుండి ముక్తి నొందగలడు. అదియే మహాత్ముని నిజమైన యోగ్యత.
కనుక మనుజుడు తన ఆత్మను ఆ భగవానుని అధీనము చేసినంతనే భౌతికప్రకృతి అదుపు నుండి ముక్తుడు కాగాలడన్నది ప్రాథమికసూత్రము. తటస్థశక్తియైన జీవుడు భౌతికశక్తి నుండి విడివడినంతనే ఆధ్యాత్మికశక్తి నేతృత్వమునకు మరియు నిర్దేశమునకు వచ్చును.
అట్టి ఆధ్యాత్మికప్రకృతి నిర్దేశమే “దైవీప్రకృతి” యని పిలువబడుచున్నది. అనగా శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానునికి శరణమునొంది ఆ విధముగా పురోగతి నొందినపుడు మనుజుడు “మహాత్ముడు” అనెడి స్థాయిని పొందగలడు.
శ్రీకృష్ణుడే ఆదిపురుషుడు మరియు సర్వకారణములకు కారణమని సంపూర్ణముగా తెలిసియున్నందున మహాత్ముడైనవాడు తన మనస్సును కృష్ణునిపై నుండి ఇతరము వైపునకు మళ్ళింపడు. ఈ విషయమున ఎట్టి సందేహము లేదు. మహాత్ములైన శుద్ధభక్తుల సాంగత్యము వలననే అట్టి మహాత్ముడు రూపొందగలడు.
శుద్ధభక్తులైనవారు చతుర్భుజ మహావిష్ణువు వంటి శ్రీకృష్ణుని ఇతర రూపములందును ఆకర్షితులుగాక కేవలము అతని ద్విభుజరూపమునందే అనురాగమును, ఆకర్షణను కలిగియుందురు.
కృష్ణుని ఇతర రూపముల యెడ గాని, ఇతర దేవతల యెడగాని, మనుజుల యెడగాని వారెన్నడును ఆకర్షుతులు కారు. సంపూర్ణ భక్తిభావనలో కృష్ణుని పైననే ధ్యానము నిలిపి, ఆ కృష్ణభక్తిరసభావనలో వారు నిశ్చితమైన కృష్ణసేవ యందు సదా నియుక్తులై యుందురు.

🌴 Chapter 9 - Raja Vidya Raja Guhya Yoga - 13 🌴
13 . mahātmānas tu māṁ pārtha
daivīṁ prakṛtim āśritāḥ
bhajanty ananya-manaso
jñātvā bhūtādim avyayam
🌷 Translation :
O son of Pṛthā, those who are not deluded, the great souls, are under the protection of the divine nature. They are fully engaged in devotional service because they know Me as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, original and inexhaustible.
🌹 Purport :
In this verse the description of the mahātmā is clearly given. The first sign of the mahātmā is that he is already situated in the divine nature.
He is not under the control of material nature. And how is this effected? That is explained in the Seventh Chapter: one who surrenders unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Śrī Kṛṣṇa, at once becomes freed from the control of material nature. That is the qualification.
One can become free from the control of material nature as soon as he surrenders his soul to the Supreme Personality of Godhead. That is the preliminary formula. Being marginal potency, as soon as the living entity is freed from the control of material nature, he is put under the guidance of the spiritual nature.
The guidance of the spiritual nature is called daivī prakṛti, divine nature. So when one is promoted in that way – by surrendering to the Supreme Personality of Godhead – one attains to the stage of great soul, mahātmā.
The mahātmā does not divert his attention to anything outside Kṛṣṇa, because he knows perfectly well that Kṛṣṇa is the original Supreme Person, the cause of all causes. There is no doubt about it. Such a mahātmā, or great soul, develops through association with other mahātmās, pure devotees.
Pure devotees are not even attracted by Kṛṣṇa’s other features, such as the four-armed Mahā-viṣṇu. They are simply attracted by the two-armed form of Kṛṣṇa.
They are not attracted to other features of Kṛṣṇa, nor are they concerned with any form of a demigod or of a human being.
They meditate only upon Kṛṣṇa in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. They are always engaged in the unswerving service of the Lord in Kṛṣṇa consciousness.
