గ్రహింపబడనిది, వర్ణింపలేనిది, తపస్సుచే గాని, కర్మచే గాని పొందరానిది శ్రీమాత అని అర్ధము. మూల ప్రకృతి నుండి మొదటి ఆవరణగా వెలువడునది అవ్యక్తము. మాయ యొక్క ప్రకాశ రూపము గలది. ఈ అవ్యక్తము సృష్టి ధర్మము కలిగి యుండును. సూక్ష్మతమమై యుండును. చక్రము లేనిదై యుండును. దీనికి ఆది గాని, అంతము గాని, చేతన గాని లేదు.

విశ్వవ్యాప్తమై నిలచి యుండును. మహత్తున కవ్వలిదై యుండును. మూడు గుణముల సమష్టి రూపముగ యుండును. మూల ప్రకృతి నుండి యేర్పడును. ఈ అవ్యక్త మాధారముగనే వ్యక్తమగు మహతత్త్వము పుట్టును. అవ్యక్తమే వ్యక్త మగుటచేత తర్వాత నామమున 'వ్యక్తా అవ్యక్త స్వరూపిణి' అని కీర్తింపబడినది.

🌻 398. Avyaktā अव्यक्ता 🌻

This could be considered as further extension of the previous nāma. Avyakta is the state of prakṛti in its un-manifested form, with the three guṇa-s in equal proportions. Avyakta is the first stage of the Brahman that cannot be explained, as this is the purest form of Brahman, without parentage. This stage is also known as turya or the fourth state of consciousness, the other three being sleep, dream and deep sleep. It is the non-dualistic state, where the Brahman without a second is realized.

This stage is explained by Brahma Sūtra (III.ii.23) which says tadvyaktamāha hi (तद्व्यक्तमाह हि). This means “That Brahman is un-manifest”. This is further explained as ‘It is not comprehended through the eye, or through speech, or through other senses. Nor it is attained through austerity or karma. It is imperceptible, for It is never perceived’.

When the nirguṇa Brahman (the Brahman without attributes) desires to create, the māyā undergoes modifications and this modified stage of māyā is called avyakta.

🕉. When you live with blind people, live like a blind person. You cannot change the whole world. 🕉

I know bureaucracy exists, but it has to exist because people are absolutely irresponsible. There is no way suddenly to drop the bureaucracy and the court and the law and the police officers. There is no way, because you will not be able to live for a single moment. It is a necessary evil. One just has to learn to live with people who are not alert, who are fast asleep, who are snoring. It may be disturbing to you, but nothing can be done about it.

At the most, the one thing you can do is not to enforce the same stupid behavior that has been forced on you by society. Don't force it on anybody else. You may have a wife, a husband, children don't force it on them or on your friends. That's all you can do. But you have to live in society and you have to follow the rules. So don't just condemn things. Try to understand. There are many evils that are needed; they are necessary. The choice is not between right and wrong. In real life the choice is always between a bigger evil and a lesser evil, a bigger wrong and a lesser wrong.

బ్రహ్మ ఇట్లు పలికెను -

విష్ణువు మొదలగు ఆ దేవతలు ప్రభుని ఆ చరితమును గాంచి మిక్కిలి సంతసిల్లిరి. వారి మనస్సులో విశ్వాసము నెలకొనెను (1). శివుని తేజస్సుచే ప్రేరితులైన ఆ దేవతలు కుమారుని ముందిడు కొని గెంతుతూ సింహనాదమును చేయుచూ తారకుని సంహరించుటకు బయలు దేరిరి (2).

దేవతల యుద్ధసన్నాహమును గురించి విన్న మహాబలశాలియగు తారకుడు కూడా వెంటనే పెద్ద స్తెన్యముతో దేవతలు ఉన్నచోటికి బయలు దేరెను (3). తారకుని మహాసైన్యము వచ్చు చుండగా చూచి దేవతలు బలముగా అనేకపర్యాయములు సింహనాదమును చేసిరి. ఆ స్తెన్యమును చూచి వారి ఆశ్చర్యమును పొందిరి (4). అపుడు శంకరునిచే ప్రేరేపింపబడిన ఆకాశవాణి వెంటనే విష్ణువు మొదలగు దేవతలనందరినీ ఉద్దేశించి ఆకసమునుండి ఇట్లు పలికెను (5).

ఆకాశవాణి ఇట్లు పలికెను -

ఓ దేవతలారా! మీరు కుమారుని ఎదుట నిడుకొని యుద్ధమునకు సన్నద్ధులై రాక్షసులను జయించి విజయమును పొందుడు (6).

బ్రహ్మ ఇట్లు పలికెను -

అపుడా ఆకాశవాణిని విని దేవతలందరు భయమును వీడి ఉత్సాహముతో పరాక్రమ సూచకములగు మాటలను పలికిరి (7). భయమును పొంది యున్న ఆ దేవతలందురు కుమారుని ముందిడుకొని యుద్ధమును చేయగోరి భూమి, సముద్రముల సంగమస్థానమునకు చేరిరి (8). ఆ తారకుడు గొప్ప స్తెన్యముతో గూడి దేవతలు ఉన్న స్థలమునకు శీఘ్రముగా వచ్చెను. ఆ స్థలమంతయూ దేవతలతో నిండియుండెను (9). ఆ స్తెన్యము రాగానే ప్రళయకాలమునందలి మేఘములవలె ధ్వని చేయు యుద్ధదుందుభులు, కర్ణ కఠోరమగు ఇతరవాద్యములు మ్రోగజొచ్చెను (10).

Brahmā said:—

1. On seeing that miraculous feat of Kumāra, Viṣṇu and other gods became delighted. They were convinced of his prowess.

2. Keeping Kumāra at the head, shouting and roaring, purified by Śiva’s splendour they started to attack Tāraka.

3. When he heard about the preparation of the gods, the powerful Tāraka rushed to fight back the gods with a great army.

4. On seeing the great army of Tāraka approaching, the gods were surprised but roared like lions.

5. Then a celestial voice, prompted by Śiva addressed Viṣṇu and all other gods.


The celestial Voice said;—

6. O gods, keeping Kumāra at the head you have entered the lists. Defeating the Asuras in the battle, you will be victorious.

Brahmā said:—

7. On hearing the celestial voice, the gods became enthusiastic. Fearlessly they roared like heroes.

8. With their fear subsided, and keeping Kumāra ahead, the gods went to the confluence of the river Mahī and the ocean[1] desirous of fighting.

9. Immediately Tāraka, along with a great army, came to the place where the gods stood and was surrounded by them in a body.

10. Battle drums were sounded as loud as the rumbling sound of the clouds at the dissolution of the world. The harsh musical instruments were also played when he came.

అగ్నిదేవుడు చెప్పెను : ఓ మునీ! ఇపుడు నేను ఆత్మరక్షను, ఇతరుల రక్షను చేయు విధానమును చెప్పచున్నాను. దీనికి ''మార్జనము'' లేదా ''అపామార్జనము'' అని పేరు. ఈ రక్ష చేసికొనుటచే మానవుడు దుఃఖములు తొలగి సుఖము పొందును.

సచ్చిదానందస్వరూపుడును, పరమార్థభూతుడును, సర్వాంతర్యామియు, మహాత్ముడును, నిరాకారుడును, సహస్రాకారములు ధరించినవాడును, సర్వవ్యాపకుడును, అగు పరమాత్మకు నమస్కరించుచున్నాను. కల్మషరహితుడును, పరమశుద్ధుడును, నిత్యధ్యానయోగనిరతుడును అగు పరమాత్మకు నమస్కరించి రక్షావిషయమును చెప్పుచున్నాను. నా వాక్కు సత్య మగు గాక.

భగవంతుడైన వరాహమూర్తికిని, నృసింహునకును, వామనునకును నమస్కరించి రక్షావిషయమున చెప్పెదను. నా వాక్యము సిద్ధించుగాక. భగవతంతుడైన త్రివిక్రమునకును, శ్రీరామునకును, శ్రీమహావిష్ణువునకును, నరునకును నమస్కరించి నేను రక్షా విషయమున చెప్పుచున్నాను. అది సత్యమగు గాక.

ఓ వరాహస్వామీ! నృసింహేశ్వరా! త్రివిక్రమా! హయగ్రీవేశా! సర్వేశా! హృషీకేశా! నా నమస్త అశుభములను హరింపుము. ఎవ్వనిచేతను ఓడింపరాని ఓ పరమేశ్వరా! ఆకుంఠితశక్తి గల నీ చక్రావ్యాయుధములు నాలిగింటిచే సమస్తదుష్టుల సంహారము చేయుము. ఓ ప్రభూ! ఫలానావాని సంపూర్ణపాపములను హరించి ఆతనికి పూర్తిగ కుశలక్షేమము ను ప్రసాదించుము. పాపములవలన కలుగు మృత్యు, బంధన, రోగ, పీడా, భయాదులను తొలగింపుము.

Agni said:

1. I will now describe (the rite) known as the cleansing for the protection of one’s self and others, by which a man would become freed of miseries and get happiness.

2-3. Oṃ, salutations to the greatest object, the soul, the great soul, the formless and many-formed, the all-pervading, supreme soul, blemishless, pure and (person) engaged in meditative contemplation. Having saluted I shall expound. May my words prove true.

4. (Salutations) to the Boar, Man-lion and Dwarf (forms of Viṣṇu), the great sage. Having saluted I shall expound. May my words prove true.

5. (Salutations) to Trivikrama (a form of Viṣṇu, as he measured the three steps and removed the pride of the demon Bali), Rāma, Vaikuṇṭha (abode ofViṣṇu), the (Supreme) man. Having saluted I shall expound. May my words become true.

6. O Boar, Lord as Man-lion, Lord as Dwarf, Trivikrama, Hayagrīveśa (Lord as Horse-necked), Lord of all beings, Hṛṣīkeśa (Viṣṇu) (the Lord of all senses) destroy my impurity.

7. With these four most excellent weapons, the ever victorious disc and others of unbroken power, you become destroyer of all wicked things.

8. You remove the calamity of such a person and do (him) all good and also (remove) the fear of distress due to fetters of death which is the fruit of sins.

అగ్నిదేవుడు చెప్పెను : ఓ మునీ! ఇపుడు నేను ఆత్మరక్షను, ఇతరుల రక్షను చేయు విధానమును చెప్పచున్నాను. దీనికి ''మార్జనము'' లేదా ''అపామార్జనము'' అని పేరు. ఈ రక్ష చేసికొనుటచే మానవుడు దుఃఖములు తొలగి సుఖము పొందును.

సచ్చిదానందస్వరూపుడును, పరమార్థభూతుడును, సర్వాంతర్యామియు, మహాత్ముడును, నిరాకారుడును, సహస్రాకారములు ధరించినవాడును, సర్వవ్యాపకుడును, అగు పరమాత్మకు నమస్కరించుచున్నాను. కల్మషరహితుడును, పరమశుద్ధుడును, నిత్యధ్యానయోగనిరతుడును అగు పరమాత్మకు నమస్కరించి రక్షావిషయమును చెప్పుచున్నాను. నా వాక్కు సత్య మగు గాక.

Agni said:
1. I will now describe (the rite) known as the cleansing for the protection of one’s self and others, by which a man would become freed of miseries and get happiness.

2-3. Oṃ, salutations to the greatest object, the soul, the great soul, the formless and many-formed, the all-pervading, supreme soul, blemishless, pure and (person) engaged in meditative contemplation. Having saluted I shall expound. May my words prove true.

4. (Salutations) to the Boar, Man-lion and Dwarf (forms of Viṣṇu), the great sage. Having saluted I shall expound. May my words prove true.

5. (Salutations) to Trivikrama (a form of Viṣṇu, as he measured the three steps and removed the pride of the demon Bali), Rāma, Vaikuṇṭha (abode ofViṣṇu), the (Supreme) man. Having saluted I shall expound. May my words become true.

6. O Boar, Lord as Man-lion, Lord as Dwarf, Trivikrama, Hayagrīveśa (Lord as Horse-necked), Lord of all beings, Hṛṣīkeśa (Viṣṇu) (the Lord of all senses) destroy my impurity.

7. With these four most excellent weapons, the ever victorious disc and others of unbroken power, you become destroyer of all wicked things.

8. You remove the calamity of such a person and do (him) all good and also (remove) the fear of distress due to fetters of death which is the fruit of sins.

బ్రహ్మ ఇట్లు పలికెను -
విష్ణువు మొదలగు ఆ దేవతలు ప్రభుని ఆ చరితమును గాంచి మిక్కిలి సంతసిల్లిరి. వారి మనస్సులో విశ్వాసము నెలకొనెను (1). శివుని తేజస్సుచే ప్రేరితులైన ఆ దేవతలు కుమారుని ముందిడు కొని గెంతుతూ సింహనాదమును చేయుచూ తారకుని సంహరించుటకు బయలు దేరిరి (2).

దేవతల యుద్ధసన్నాహమును గురించి విన్న మహాబలశాలియగు తారకుడు కూడా వెంటనే పెద్ద స్తెన్యముతో దేవతలు ఉన్నచోటికి బయలు దేరెను (3). తారకుని మహాసైన్యము వచ్చు చుండగా చూచి దేవతలు బలముగా అనేకపర్యాయములు సింహనాదమును చేసిరి. ఆ స్తెన్యమును చూచి వారి ఆశ్చర్యమును పొందిరి (4). అపుడు శంకరునిచే ప్రేరేపింపబడిన ఆకాశవాణి వెంటనే విష్ణువు మొదలగు దేవతలనందరినీ ఉద్దేశించి ఆకసమునుండి ఇట్లు పలికెను (5).

ఆకాశవాణి ఇట్లు పలికెను -
ఓ దేవతలారా! మీరు కుమారుని ఎదుట నిడుకొని యుద్ధమునకు సన్నద్ధులై రాక్షసులను జయించి విజయమును పొందుడు (6).

బ్రహ్మ ఇట్లు పలికెను -
అపుడా ఆకాశవాణిని విని దేవతలందరు భయమును వీడి ఉత్సాహముతో పరాక్రమ సూచకములగు మాటలను పలికిరి (7). భయమును పొంది యున్న ఆ దేవతలందురు కుమారుని ముందిడుకొని యుద్ధమును చేయగోరి భూమి, సముద్రముల సంగమస్థానమునకు చేరిరి (8). ఆ తారకుడు గొప్ప స్తెన్యముతో గూడి దేవతలు ఉన్న స్థలమునకు శీఘ్రముగా వచ్చెను. ఆ స్థలమంతయూ దేవతలతో నిండియుండెను (9). ఆ స్తెన్యము రాగానే ప్రళయకాలమునందలి మేఘములవలె ధ్వని చేయు యుద్ధదుందుభులు, కర్ణ కఠోరమగు ఇతరవాద్యములు మ్రోగజొచ్చెను (10).

Brahmā said:—
1. On seeing that miraculous feat of Kumāra, Viṣṇu and other gods became delighted. They were convinced of his prowess.

2. Keeping Kumāra at the head, shouting and roaring, purified by Śiva’s splendour they started to attack Tāraka.

3. When he heard about the preparation of the gods, the powerful Tāraka rushed to fight back the gods with a great army.

4. On seeing the great army of Tāraka approaching, the gods were surprised but roared like lions.

5. Then a celestial voice, prompted by Śiva addressed Viṣṇu and all other gods.

The celestial Voice said;—
6. O gods, keeping Kumāra at the head you have entered the lists. Defeating the Asuras in the battle, you will be victorious.

Brahmā said:—
7. On hearing the celestial voice, the gods became enthusiastic. Fearlessly they roared like heroes.

8. With their fear subsided, and keeping Kumāra ahead, the gods went to the confluence of the river Mahī and the ocean[1] desirous of fighting.

9. Immediately Tāraka, along with a great army, came to the place where the gods stood and was surrounded by them in a body.

10. Battle drums were sounded as loud as the rumbling sound of the clouds at the dissolution of the world. The harsh musical instruments were also played when he came.

*🌻 398. Avyaktā अव्यक्ता 🌻*

*This could be considered as further extension of the previous nāma.  Avyakta is the state of prakṛti in its un-manifested form, with the three guṇa-s in equal proportions. Avyakta is the first stage of the Brahman that cannot be explained, as this is the purest form of Brahman, without parentage.  This stage is also known as turya or the fourth state of consciousness, the other three being sleep, dream and deep sleep.  It is the non-dualistic state, where the Brahman without a second is realized.*

*This stage is explained by Brahma Sūtra (III.ii.23) which says tadvyaktamāha hi (तद्व्यक्तमाह हि).  This means “That Brahman is un-manifest”.  This is further explained as ‘It is not comprehended through the eye, or through speech, or through other senses.  Nor it is attained through austerity or karma.  It is imperceptible, for It is never perceived’.*

*When the nirguṇa Brahman (the Brahman without attributes) desires to create, the māyā undergoes modifications and this modified stage of māyā is called avyakta.*
