*సమస్త విశ్వము సత్త్వరజస్తమో గుణములనెడి త్రిగుణములచే భ్రాంతికి గురియై గుణములకు పరుడను మరియు అవ్యయుడను అగు నన్ను ఎరుగజాలకున్నది.*
🌷. భాష్యము :
సమస్త ప్రపంచము త్రిగుణములచే మోహింపజేయబడియున్నది. అట్టి త్రిగుణములచే మోహమునకు గురియైనవారు శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుడు ప్రకృతికి పరమైనవాడని ఎరుగజాలరు.
భౌతికప్రకృతి ప్రభావము నందున్న ప్రతిజీవియు ఒక ప్రత్యేకమైన దేహమును మరియు తత్సంబంధిత కర్మలను కలిగియుండును. గుణముల ననుసరించి కర్మల యందు చరించు మనుజులు నాలుగురకములుగా నుందురు. సత్త్వగుణమునందు సంపూర్ణముగా నిలిచియుండువారు బ్రహ్మణులు. రజోగుణమునందు సంపూర్ణముగా నిలిచియుండువారు క్షత్రియులు. రజస్తమోగుణములను కలిగియుండువారు వైశ్యులు, కేవలము తమోగుణము నందే యుండువారు శూద్రులు. శూద్రులకన్నను నీచులైనవారు జంతువులు లేక పశుప్రాయ జీవనులు అనబడుదురు.
కాని వాస్తవమునాకు ఈ ఉపాదులన్నియు అశాశ్వతములు. బ్రాహ్మణుడైనను, క్షత్రియుడైనను, వైశ్యుడైనను, శూద్రుడైనను లేక ఇంకేదైనను ఈ జీవితము తాత్కాలికమైనది. ఈ జీవతము తాత్కాలికమైనను దీని పిదప మనకు ఈ జన్మ లభించునో ఎరుగలేము. మాయావశమున దేహభావనకు లోబడియే మనలను మనము భారతీయులుగనో, అమెరికావాసులుగానో లేక బ్రాహ్మణులుగనో, హిందువులుగనో, మహమ్మదీయులుగనో భావించుచుందురు. ఈ విధముగా త్రిగుణములచే బంధితులమైనచో మనము ఆ గుణముల వెనుకనున్న భగవానుని మరతుము. కనుకనే త్రిగుణములచే మోహమునొందిన జీవులు భౌతిక నేపథ్యము వెనుక నున్నది తానేయనుచు ఎరుగజాలకున్నారని శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుడు పలుకుచున్నాడు.
మానవులు, దేవతలు, జంతువులాదిగాగల అనేకరకముల జీవుల ప్రకృతి ప్రభావము చేతనే నిర్గుణుడైన శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుని మరచియున్నారు. రజస్తమోగుణముల యందున్నవారే గాక, సత్త్వగుణమునందున్నవారు కూడా పరతత్త్వము యొక్క నిరాకారబ్రహ్మభావమును దాటి ముందుకు పోజాలరు. సౌందర్యము, ఐశ్వర్యము, జ్ఞానము, బలము, యశస్సు, వైరాగ్యములు సమగ్రముగా నున్న శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుని దివ్యరూపముచే వారు భ్రాంతి నొందుదురు. శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుని అవగతము చేసికొనుట సత్త్వగుణమునందున్నవారికే సాధ్యము కాదన్నచో, రజస్తమోగుణము లందున్నవారికి ఏమి ఆశ మిగిలి యుండగలదు? కాని కృష్ణభక్తిరసభావనము ఈ త్రిగుణములకు పరమైనట్టిది. దాని యందు ప్రతిష్టితులైనట్టివారు నిజముగా ముక్తపురుషులు.

*13. tribhir guṇa-mayair bhāvair ebhiḥ sarvam idaṁ jagat*
*mohitaṁ nābhijānāti mām ebhyaḥ param avyayam*
🌷 Translation :
*Deluded by the three modes [goodness, passion and ignorance], the whole world does not know Me, who am above the modes and inexhaustible.*
🌹 Purport :
The whole world is enchanted by the three modes of material nature. Those who are bewildered by these three modes cannot understand that transcendental to this material nature is the Supreme Lord, Kṛṣṇa.
Every living entity under the influence of material nature has a particular type of body and a particular type of psychological and biological activities accordingly. There are four classes of men functioning in the three material modes of nature. Those who are purely in the mode of goodness are called brāhmaṇas. Those who are purely in the mode of passion are called kṣatriyas. Those who are in the modes of both passion and ignorance are called vaiśyas.
Those who are completely in ignorance are called śūdras. And those who are less than that are animals or animal life. However, these designations are not permanent. I may be either a brāhmaṇa, kṣatriya, vaiśya or whatever – in any case, this life is temporary. But although life is temporary and we do not know what we are going to be in the next life, by the spell of this illusory energy we consider ourselves in terms of this bodily conception of life, and we thus think that we are American, Indian, Russian, or brāhmaṇa, Hindu, Muslim, etc. And if we become entangled with the modes of material nature, then we forget the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is behind all these modes. So Lord Kṛṣṇa says that living entities deluded by these three modes of nature do not understand that behind the material background is the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

వీనిని మోసముతో మాత్రమే సంహరింప వచ్చును. మరియొక విధముగా వీనిని సంహరించుట సంభవము కాదు. శివుడు ఈ విధముగా నిశ్చయించుకొని సైన్యమధ్యములో నిలబడెను (8). నిర్గుణుడే యైననూ సగుణడై రూపమును స్వీకరించి యున్న శివదేవుడు, మరియు విష్ణువు కూడ యుద్ధములోనికి రాగానే, సర్వదేవతలు (9) మరియు మహేశుని గణములు కూడ గొప్ప హర్షమును పొందిరి. వారందరు ఒకరితో నొకరు కలుసుకొని ఉత్సవమును చేసిరి(10). అపుడు శక్తి పుత్రుడు, వీరుడు అగు గణేశుడు వీరగతిని ప్రదర్శించి మున్ముందుగా సుఖములన్నింటికీ విష్ణువును తన కర్రతో పూజించెను (11).
ఓ విభూ! నేనీతనిని మోహింప జేసిన సమయములో నీవాతనిని వధించుము. ఈ తపశ్శాలిని సమీపంచుట సంభవము కాదు. ఈతనిని మోసము లేకుండగా వధింప జాలము (12). ఇట్లు నిశ్చయించి శంభునితో సంప్రదించి ఆయన అనుమతిని పొంది విష్ణువు గణేశుని మోహింపజేయు ప్రయత్నములో లీనమయ్యెను (13). ఓ మహర్షీ! ఆ విధముగా మోహింప జేయుటలో నిమగ్నమై యున్న విష్ణువును గాంచి శక్తి మాత లిద్దరు తమ శక్తి బలమును ఆ గణేశునకు ఇచ్చిరి (14). ఆ శక్తి మాతలిద్దరు అంతర్ధానము కాగానే ఇనుమడించిన బలము గల గణేశుడు విష్ణువు స్వయముగా నిలబడి యున్న స్థలమునకు పరిఘను విసిరి వేసెను (15).

8. Thinking within himself “He has to be killed only by deception and not otherwise” he stayed in the midst of the army.
9-10. When lord Śiva who though devoid of attributes had assumed the attributive form was seen in the battle, when Viṣṇu too had come thither, the gods and Gaṇas of Śiva were highly delighted. They joined together and became jubilant.
11. Then Gaṇeśa the heroic son of Śakti following the course of heroes, at first worshipped (i.e struck) Viṣṇu with his staff, Viṣṇu who confers happiness to all.
12-13. “I shall cause him delusion. Then let him be killed by you, O lord. Without deception he cannot be killed. He is of Tāmasika nature and inaccessible.” Thinking thus and consulting Śiva, Viṣṇu secured Śiva’s permission and was engaged in the activities of delusion.
14. O sage, on seeing Viṣṇu in that manner, the two Śaktis handed over their power to Gaṇeśa and became submerged.
15. When the two Śaktis became submerged, Gaṇeśa with more strength infused in him hurled the iron club in the place where Viṣṇu stood.

*స్వచ్ఛమైన చైతన్యంలో మాత్రమే బ్రహ్మం సాక్షాత్కరింప బడుతుంది. బంధమే స్వచ్ఛమైన చైతన్యం యొక్క బాధకు కారణం. ఈ సూత్రం బంధానికి గల కారణాలను విశ్లేషిస్తుంది. మునుపటి సూత్రంలో, మలమే (సహజ మలినాలు) బానిసత్వానికి కారణమని చర్చించారు. స్పంద కారికా (I.9) సహజమైన అశుద్ధం లేదా మాలాను ఇలా వివరిస్తుంది, “అనుభావిక వ్యక్తి యొక్క మానసిక స్థితి అతని స్వంత అపరిశుభ్రత వల్ల కర్మలకు (వర్గః) అనుబంధాన్ని కలిగిస్తుంది. ఇది తొలగిపోయినపుడు, అత్యున్నత స్థితి కనిపిస్తుంది. అంటే, అజ్ఞానం తొలగిపోయినప్పుడు, బ్రహ్మం సాక్షాత్కరిస్తుంది. మలాలు మళ్లీ రెండు రకాలుగా విభజించబడ్డాయి.*

*🌴The multitude of similar origins is the body of parts of the whole.🌴*
*Brahman can be realised only in pure consciousness and bondage is the cause for the affliction of pure consciousness. This sūtrā proceeds to analyse the reasons for bondage. In the previous sūtrā, it was discussed that mala (natural impurities) is the cause for bondage. Spanda Kārikā (I.9) explains natural impurity or mala thus, “The afflicted mental state of an empirical individual is disabled by his own impurity causing attachment to actions (vargaḥ). When this disappears, then the highest state appears.” This means, when ignorance is removed, the Brahman is realised. The mala is again divided into two types.*
*The first one is kārma mala (karmā is different from kārma) and the second one is māyīya mala. Kārma mala refers to both mental and physical actions. It is essentially a desire, responsible for infinite association of the self with other creations of māyā (attachment to relationships and materialistic needs). If one is not associated with māyīya mala then it means that he is not a mundane existence, but a super human existence or a jñānī. It is only the māyā that is solely responsible for ignorance and consequent bondage. It is only the māyā that causes roadblocks in the spiritual path.*
