🌻. గణ వివాదము - 1 🌻


బ్రహ్మ ఇట్లు పలికెను -

ఆ గణములు కోపముతో నిండిన వారై శివుని ఆజ్ఞానుసారముగ అచటకు వెళ్లి, ద్వారపాలకుడై యున్న ఆ పార్వతీ తనయుని ఇట్లు ప్రశ్నించిరి (1).


శివగణములు ఇట్లు పలికిరి -

నీవెవరివి? ఎచటనుండి వచ్చితివి? నీవేమి చేయ గోరుచున్నావు? నీవు బ్రతుక దలచినతో ఇపుడు ఇచటి నుండి దూరముగా పొమ్ము (2).


బ్రహ్మ ఇట్లు పలికెను -

వారి ఆ మాటను విని పార్వతీపుత్రుడు భయము లేనివాడై చేత కర్ర బట్టుకొని ద్వారపాలకులతో నిట్లు పలికెను (3).


గణేశుడిట్లు పలికెను -

మీరెవరు? ఎచటనుండు వచ్చిరి? మీరు సుందరముగా నున్నారు. దూరముగా పొండు. ఇచట మీరు విరోధమును గోరి నిలబడి యుండుటకు కారణమేమి? (4).


బ్రహ్మ ఇట్లు పలికెను-

మహావీరులు, తొలగిన గర్వము గలవారు అగు శివగణములందరు వాని ఈ మాటలను విని ఒకరిలో నొకరు నవ్వుకొని ఇట్లు పిలికిరి (5). శివగణములందరు ఒకరితో నొకరు సంప్రదించుకొని క్రోధముతో నిండిన మనస్సు గలవారై ద్వారపాలుడగు ఆ గణేశునితో నిట్లనిరి (16).


శివగణములు ఇట్లు పలికిరి -

వినుము. మేము శ్రేష్ఠులగు శివగణములము. ద్వారపాలకులము. శంకరప్రభుని ఆజ్ఞచే నిన్ను తప్పించుటకు వచ్చినాము (7). నీవు కూడా ఇచటి గణమని తలంచి నిన్ను సంహరించలేదు. లేనిచో నీవీ పాటికి సంహరింపబడి యుండెడి వాడవు. నీ అంతట నీవే దూరముగా పొమ్ము. మృత్యువును ఏల గోరు చున్నావు? (8)


బ్రహ్మ ఇట్లు పలికెను -

వారిట్లు పలికిననూ పార్వతీ తనయుడగు గణశుడు భయము లేనివాడై ఆ శివగణములను భయవెట్టినాడే గాని, ద్వారమును వీడలేదు (90. అచట నున్న ఆ శివగణములందరు ఆ మాటను విని శివుని వద్దకు వెళ్లి ఆ వృత్తాంతమును చెప్పిరి (10). ఓ మహర్షీ! లోకాచారముననుసరించి అద్బుతమగు లీలలను ప్రదర్శించే మహేశ్వరుడు వారి మాటలను విని ఆ తన గణములపై కోపించి గద్దించి వారితో నిట్లనెను (11).

🌻 The Gaṇas argue and wrangle - 1 🌻


Brahmā said:—

1. The infuriated Gaṇas of Śiva at his bidding went there and questioned the son of Pārvatī who stood at the gate.


Śiva’s Gaṇas said:—

2. “Who are you? Whence do you come? What do you propose to do? If you have a desire to remain alive go away from here.”


Brahmā said:—

3. On hearing their words, the son of Pārvatī who was armed with the staff spoke to the Gaṇas as follows:—


Gaṇeśa said:—

4. O “handsome fellows, who are you? Whence have you come? Go away. Why have you come here and why do you stand in opposition to me?”


Brahmā said:—

5. On hearing his words, Śiva’s Gaṇas of great heroism and arrogance laughingly spoke to one another.

6. After conferring with one another, the infuriated Pārṣadas of Śiva replied to Gaṇeśa, the doorkeeper.


Śiva’s Gaṇas said:—

7. “Listen. We are the excellent Gaṇas of Śiva. We are his doorkeepers. We have come here to throw you out at the bidding of lord Śiva.

8. Considering you too, as one of the Gaṇas, we are not going to kill you. Otherwise you would have been killed. Better stay away yourself. Why do you court death?”


Brahmā said:—

9. Though warned thus, Gaṇeśa, the son of Pārvatī, stood fearless. He did not leave his post at the door. He rebuked Śiva’s Gaṇas.

10. After hearing his words, the Gaṇas of Śiva went back and informed Śiva about his stand.

11. O sage, on hearing their words, lord Śiva of wonderful divine sports, following the worldly conventions rebuked his Gaṇas.
