17. అవిభక్తం చ భూతేషు విభక్తమివ చ స్థితమ్ |
భూతభర్తృ చ తత్ జ్ఞేయం గ్రసిష్ణు ప్రభవిష్ణు చ ||

🌷. తాత్పర్యం : పరమాత్ముడు జీవుల యందు విభజింపబడినట్లు కనిపించినను అతడెన్నడును విభజింపబడక ఏకమై నిలిచియుండును. సర్వ జీవులను పోషించు వాడైనను, సర్వులను కబళించునది మరియు వృద్ధి నొందించునది అతడే యని అవగాహనము చేసికొనవలెను.

🌷. భాష్యము : శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుడు ప్రతివారి హృదయమునందు పరమాత్మ రూపమున వసించియున్నాడు. దీని భావము అతడు విభజింపబడినాడనియా? అట్లెన్నడును కాబోదు. వాస్తవమునకు అతడు సదా ఏకమై యుండును. దీనికి సూర్యుని ఉపమానమును ఒసగవచ్చును. మధ్యాహ్న సమయమున సూర్యుడు తన స్థానమున నిలిచి నడినెత్తిమీద నిలిచియున్నట్లు తోచును. మనుజుడు ఒక ఐదువేల మైళ్ళు ఏ దిక్కునందైనను ప్రయాణించి పిదప సూర్యుడెక్కడున్నాడని ప్రశ్నించినచో తిరిగి ఆ సమయమున తన శిరముపైననే ఉన్నాడనెడి సమాధానమును పొందగలడు.

శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుడు అవిభక్తుడైనను విభక్తుడైనట్లుగా కన్పించుచున్న ఈ విషయమును తెలుపుటకే వేదవాజ్మయమునందు ఈ ఉదాహరణము ఒసగబడినది. సూర్యుడు ఒక్కడేయైనను బహుప్రదేశములలో జనులకు ఏకకాలమున గోచరించురీతి, విష్ణువొక్కడేయైనను తన సర్వశక్తిమత్వముచే సర్వత్రా వసించియున్నాడనియు వేదవాజ్మయము నందు తెలుపబడినది. ఆ భగవానుడే సర్వజీవుల పోషకుడైనను ప్రళయ సమయమున సమస్తమును కబళించివేయును.

17. avibhaktaṁ ca bhūteṣu vibhaktam iva ca sthitam
bhūta-bhartṛ ca taj jñeyaṁ grasiṣṇu prabhaviṣṇu ca

🌷 Translation : Although the Supersoul appears to be divided among all beings, He is never divided. He is situated as one. Although He is the maintainer of every living entity, it is to be understood that He devours and develops all.

🌹 Purport : The Lord is situated in everyone’s heart as the Supersoul. Does this mean that He has become divided? No. Actually, He is one. The example is given of the sun: The sun, at the meridian, is situated in its place.

But if one goes for five thousand miles in all directions and asks, “Where is the sun?” everyone will say that it is shining on his head. In the Vedic literature this example is given to show that although He is undivided, He is situated as if divided. Also it is said in Vedic literature that one Viṣṇu is present everywhere by His omnipotence, just as the sun appears in many places to many persons. And the Supreme Lord, although the maintainer of every living entity, devours everything at the time of annihilation.
