🌻 332-1. 'వామనయనా' 🌻

సుందరమైన కన్నులు కలది శ్రీమాత అని అర్థము. అందమైన కన్నులు లక్ష్మీప్రదము. ఇట్టి కన్నులు కలవారికి సహజముగ ప్రేమ యుండును. ఉన్నత ఆశయములు ఉండును. గంభీరమగు భావము లుండును. శ్రీమాత కన్నులను ఆరాధించు వారికి ఈ దివ్య లక్షణములు దరి చేరును. వామ' అనగా ఎడమ అని కూడ అర్థము కలదు. అర్ధనారీశ్వర తత్త్వమున కుడికన్ను శివునిది కాగ ఎడమ కన్ను శ్రీమాతది. అంతియే గాక శివుని ఎడమ భాగ మంతయూ శ్రీదేవియే.

ప్రజ్ఞకు పదార్థ మెప్పుడునూ వ్యతిరేకముగనే యుండును. వామ యనగా వ్యతిరేక మని కూడ అర్థమున్నది. 'శివ' తత్త్వము తూర్పునకు ప్రతీక కాగా, 'శ్రీ' తత్త్వము పశ్చిమమునకు ప్రతీక. పశ్చిమము నుండి తూర్పును చూచుట శ్రీ తత్త్వము. తూర్పున నుండి పశ్చిమమును చూచుట శివ తత్త్వము లేక పురుష తత్త్వము. శ్రీ, పురుషుని చూచుచు నుండును. పురుషుడు శ్రీని చూచుచు నుండును. ఎదురు బదురుగ నున్నప్పుడే ఒకరినొకరు ఆలాపనము చేసుకొనుటకు వీలుపడును.

🌻 74. Kalavati kalalapa kanta kadanbari priya

🌻 332-1. Vāma-nayanā वाम-नयना (332) 🌻

Literally this nāma means ‘beautiful eyes’. Vāma also means fruits of action and nayat means leading to. Vāma-nayanā therefore means ‘the fruits of one’s actions lead to Her’, indicating the final liberation.

This is substantiated in Chāndogya Upaniṣad in IV.15.2. It says ‘saṁyād-vāma’ (concentration of all good things) which means that one who knows the Self (Her Brahman form as the Supreme Self) becomes a container of all good things. He carries the fruits of good things according to what they deserve (as per their karmic account). The next verse of the Upaniṣad says ‘sarvāni vāmāni nayati’ which means the source of all that is good and pure, indicating the Brahman. The word vāmāni is used in the Upaniṣad to mean the One who carried the fruits of good work to all beings according to what they deserve. He is the support of all that is good.
