సంస్కారవంతులు ఆపాద మస్తకము నిత్యమూ సంస్కరించుకొందురు. బహిరంతరములను కూడ అట్లే సంస్కరించుకొనుచుందురు. తమ పరిసరములను, దేహమును, యింద్రియములను, మనస్సును నిత్యమూ సంస్కరించు కొననిచో అపవిత్రత పేర్కొనుట తథ్యము. మనస్సు అద్దము వంటిది. అద్దముపై పడిన దుమ్ము తుడుచుకొననిచో ప్రతిబింబము స్పష్టముగ నుండదు.

నిత్యమూ శుచి, శౌచమునకు సంబంధించిన కార్యములు నిర్వర్తింపని వారు జీవితమున చిక్కులు పడుదురు. సంస్కారములను క్రతుబద్ధముగ నిర్వర్తించుకొనుట ఆర్య ధర్మము. అట్లు నిర్వర్తించుకొనని వారిని బర్బరులు అందురు. బర్బరు లనగా సంస్కారహీనులని అర్థము.

Cultured people are constantly reforming their minds. In the same way they groom their bodies within and outside. If one does not constantly reform one's surroundings, body, senses and mind, it is certain for impurity to accumulate. Mind is like a mirror. If the dust on the mirror is not cleaned, the reflection will not be clear.

Those who do not perform the tasks related to cleanliness and hygiene will get tangled in life. Arya dharma is to perform the rites regularly. Those who do not do so are called barbarians. Barbarians are those who are uncivilized.
