🌴. 16వ అధ్యాయము - దైవాసుర స్వభావములు - 4 🌴

04. దమ్భో దర్పోభిమానశ్చ క్రోధ: పారుష్యమేవ చ |
అజ్ఞానం చాభిజాతస్య పార్థ సమ్పదమాసురీమ్ ||

🌷. తాత్పర్యం : ఓ పార్థా! గర్వము, పొగరు, దురహంకారము, కోపము, పరుషత్వము, అజ్ఞానములనెడి లక్షణములు ఆసురస్వభావము కలిగినవారికి చెందినవి.

🌷. భాష్యము : నరకమునకు రాజమార్గము ఈ శ్లోకమున వివరింపబడినది. దానవప్రవృత్తి గలవారు తాము నియమములను పాటింపకున్నను ధర్మప్రవర్తనమును, ఆధ్యాత్మికజ్ఞాన పురోగతియును ప్రదర్శనమును మాత్రము గావింతురు. ఏదియో ఒక విద్యను లేదా అధికధనమును కలిగియున్న కారణమున వారు పొగరును, గర్వమును కలిగియుందురు. ఇతరులచే పూజింప బడవలెననియు భావింతురు. గౌరవింప బడుటకు అర్హులు కాకున్నను ఇతరులచే గౌరవము నొందగోరుదురు. అల్ప విషయముల గూర్చియు వారు క్రోధముచెంది పరుషముగా మాట్లాడుదురు. మృదువుగా వారెన్నడును పలుకరు.

ఏది చేయదగినదో ఏది చేయరానిదో వారెరుగలేరు. ఎవ్వరి ప్రామాణికత్వమును స్వీకరింపక వారు ప్రతిదియు తమ కోరిక ననుసరించి చపలముగా నొనర్తురు. ఈ ఆసురీలక్షణములను వారు తల్లిగర్భమున ఉన్న సమయము నుండియే గ్రహించియుందురు. పెరిగి పెద్దయైన కొలది వారు ఆ అశుభగుణములను ప్రదర్శించుట నారంభింతురు.

🌴 Chapter 16 - The Divine and Demoniac Natures - 04 🌴

04. dambho darpo ’bhimānaś ca krodhaḥ pāruṣyam eva ca
ajñānaṁ cābhijātasya pārtha sampadam āsurīm

🌷 Translation : Pride, arrogance, conceit, anger, harshness and ignorance – these qualities belong to those of demoniac nature, O son of Pṛthā.

🌹 Purport : In this verse, the royal road to hell is described. The demoniac want to make a show of religion and advancement in spiritual science, although they do not follow the principles. They are always arrogant or proud in possessing some type of education or so much wealth. They desire to be worshiped by others, and demand respectability, although they do not command respect. Over trifles they become very angry and speak harshly, not gently.

They do not know what should be done and what should not be done. They do everything whimsically, according to their own desire, and they do not recognize any authority. These demoniac qualities are taken on by them from the beginning of their bodies in the wombs of their mothers, and as they grow they manifest all these inauspicious qualities.
