🌷. తాత్పర్యం :
*ఓ పార్థా! ఆత్మ నాశము లేనిదనియు, నిత్యమైనదనియు, పుట్టుకలేనిదనియు, అవ్యయమైనదనియు తెలిసినవాడు ఎవ్వరినేని ఎట్లు చంపును? లేదా చంపించును?*
🌷. భాష్యము :
వాస్తవమునకు ప్రతిదానికి ఒక ప్రయోజనముండును. పూర్ణజ్ఞానవంతుడైనవాడు ఎచ్చట మరియు ఏవిధముగా ఒకదానిని సరియైన ప్రయోజనము కొరకై వినియోగించవలేనో తెలిసియుండును. అలాగుననే హింసకు సైతము ఒక ప్రయోజనమున్నది. కాని దానిని ఎట్లు వినియోగించవలెనన్న విషయమును జ్ఞానవంతుడు ఎరిగియుండును.
హంతకునికి ఉరిశిక్ష విధించినను న్యాయమూర్తి నిందనీయుడు కాడు. ఏలయన అతడు ఉరిశిక్ష యను హింసను న్యాయసూత్రముల ననుసరించియే అమలుపరచును. హత్య గావించినవానికి మరణదండన విధింపబడవలెననియు, తద్ రీతినే చేసిన ఘోరపాపమునకు అతడు మరుసటి జన్మలో దుఃఖభాగుడు కావలసిన అవసరము కలుగగలదని మానవధర్మ శాస్త్రమైన మనుసంహిత తెలియజేయుచున్నది.
అనగా హంతకుని రాజు ద్వారా విధింపబడెడి ఉరిశిక్ష లాభదాయకమైనదే. అలాగుననే శ్రీకృష్ణుడు యుద్ధమునకై ఆదేశింపగా అట్టి హింస పరమధర్మము కొరకేని నిర్దారింపవలసియున్నది. శ్రీకృష్ణుని కొరకై చేయబడు యుద్ధమున సంభవించు హింస యనునది హింస ఏమాత్రము కానేరదని ఎరిగి అర్జునుడు అట్టి ఆదేశమును అనుసరింపవలెను. ఏలయన ఆత్మ యనునది వధింపబడునది కాదు.
కనుక న్యాయమును నెలకొల్పుటకై అట్టి నామమాత్ర హింస ఆమోదనీయమే. శస్త్రచికిత్స రోగిని బాగు చేయుటకే గాని చంపుటకు కాదు. కావున శ్రీకృష్ణుని ఉపదేశమున అర్జునుడు ఒనరింపబోవు యుద్ధము జ్ఞానపూర్ణమై యున్నది. దాని యందు పాపమునకు ఏమాత్రము అవకాశము లేదు

🌻 Translation :
*O Pārtha, how can a person who knows that the soul is indestructible, eternal, unborn and immutable kill anyone or cause anyone to kill?*
🌻 Purport :
Everything has its proper utility, and a man who is situated in complete knowledge knows how and where to apply a thing for its proper utility. Similarly, violence also has its utility, and how to apply violence rests with the person in knowledge.
Although the justice of the peace awards capital punishment to a person condemned for murder, the justice of the peace cannot be blamed, because he orders violence to another person according to the codes of justice. In Manu-saṁhitā, the lawbook for mankind, it is supported that a murderer should be condemned to death so that in his next life he will not have to suffer for the great sin he has committed.
Therefore, the king’s punishment of hanging a murderer is actually beneficial. Similarly, when Kṛṣṇa orders fighting, it must be concluded that violence is for supreme justice, and thus Arjuna should follow the instruction, knowing well that such violence, committed in the act of fighting for Kṛṣṇa, is not violence at all because, at any rate, the man, or rather the soul, cannot be killed; so for the administration of justice, so-called violence is permitted.
A surgical operation is not meant to kill the patient, but to cure him. Therefore the fighting to be executed by Arjuna at the instruction of Kṛṣṇa is with full knowledge, so there is no possibility of sinful reaction.

పరధర్మమును స్వీకరించి దానిని సమగ్రముగా ఒనరించుట కన్నను అసమగ్రముగా ఒనరించినను స్వధర్మమునందే నియుక్తమగుట మేలైనది. గుణముల ననుసరించి నిర్దేశింపబడిన కర్మలు ఎన్నడును పాపఫలములచే ప్రభావితములు కావు.
🌷. భాష్యము :
స్వధర్మాచరణమే భగవద్గీత యందు ఉపదేశింపబడినది. గడచిన శ్లోకములందు వివరింపబడినట్లు బ్రాహ్మణులు, క్షత్రియులు, వైశ్యులు, శూద్రులు ధర్మములు వారివారి గుణముల ననుసరించియే నిర్దేశింపబడినవి. ఒకరు వేరొకరి ధర్మమును అనుకరించరాదు.
శూద్రకర్మల యందు అనురక్తుడైనవాడు బ్రాహ్మణ వంశమున జన్మించినను తనను తాను బ్రాహ్మణునిగా కృత్రిమముగా ప్రకటించుకొనరాదు. ఈ విధముగా ప్రతియొక్కరు తమ గుణముల ననుసరించియే కర్మనొనరించవలెను. దేవదేవుడైన శ్రీకృష్ణుని సేవార్థమేయైనచో ఎట్టి కర్మయు హేయమైనది కాబోదు. బ్రాహ్మణుని స్వధర్మము నిక్కముగా సత్త్వగుణప్రధానమై యుండును. కనుక స్వభావరీత్యా సత్త్వగుణమునందు లేనివాడు బ్రాహ్మణుని స్వధర్మము నెన్నడును అనుకరింపరాదు.
క్షత్రియడైనవాడు కొన్నిమార్లు శత్రుసంహారము కొరకు ఉగ్రుడగుట, రాజనీతి కొరకై అసత్యములాడుట వంటి హేయకార్యములను ఒనరింపవలసివచ్చును. రాచకార్యములు అటువంటి హింస మరియు కుటిలత్వములను కూడియున్నను క్షత్రియుడైనవాడు తన స్వధర్మమును విడిచి బ్రాహ్మణధర్మమును నిర్వహించుటకు యత్నింపరాదు. దేవదేవుడైన శ్రీకృష్ణుని ప్రీత్యర్థమే ప్రతియొక్కరు కర్మనొనరించవలెను.

🌷 Translation :
It is better to engage in one’s own occupation, even though one may perform it imperfectly, than to accept another’s occupation and perform it perfectly. Duties prescribed according to one’s nature are never affected by sinful reactions.
🌹 Purport :
One’s occupational duty is prescribed in Bhagavad-gītā. As already discussed in previous verses, the duties of a brāhmaṇa, kṣatriya, vaiśya and śūdra are prescribed according to their particular modes of nature. One should not imitate another’s duty.
A man who is by nature attracted to the kind of work done by śūdras should not artificially claim to be a brāhmaṇa, although he may have been born into a brāhmaṇa family. In this way one should work according to his own nature; no work is abominable, if performed in the service of the Supreme Lord. The occupational duty of a brāhmaṇa is certainly in the mode of goodness, but if a person is not by nature in the mode of goodness, he should not imitate the occupational duty of a brāhmaṇa.
For a kṣatriya, or administrator, there are so many abominable things; a kṣatriya has to be violent to kill his enemies, and sometimes a kṣatriya has to tell lies for the sake of diplomacy. Such violence and duplicity accompany political affairs, but a kṣatriya is not supposed to give up his occupational duty and try to perform the duties of a brāhmaṇa. One should act to satisfy the Supreme Lord.

*🌻 22. A Faithful Follower of Sankara 🌻*
Swami Sivananda’s method combines revelation, meditation and reason in one. To him, all methods of sense function and the mental approach to Truth have to be set aside as faulty for the reason that their deliverances are untrustworthy, being logically indefensible and psychologically warped by the defects of the instruments. Infallible knowledge is to be had only in the intuition of Reality, and all knowledge derived through the senses, understanding and reason falls short of it in an enormous degree. No other method of approach to Truth than communion with being as such can give us ultimately reliable knowledge.
Unless the knower and the known are identified in knowledge, knowledge is not true, but gives us only a semblance of what we really seek to obtain. Swami Sivananda is a faithful follower of Sankara in his basic presuppositions, though he is equally friendly with Ramanuja, Madhva and the other dualistic and pluralistic philosophers.
To Swami Sivananda, philosophy is the way of the attainment of Brahman, and his method includes all that is best in every school of philosophy. Empiricism, rationalism, transcendentalism and absolutism come to a loving embrace in his most catholic system.

*🌻 94. నిశ్శబ్దము - స్నేహము 🌻*
నిజమైన స్నేహము, నిశ్శబ్దమై యుండునని చైనీయుల సూక్తి. నిశ్శబ్దమే నిజమైన స్నేహితుడని మరియొక సూక్తి. ప్రేమ, స్నేహము నిజమైనచో అది మాటలయందులేక, చేతలయందు మాత్రమే యుండును. చేతలేయుండును గాని మాటలుండవు. స్నేహమును, ప్రేమను భాషణములోనికి దించువారు లోతులేనివారు. వారికి నిశ్శబ్దపు లోతు, రుచిలేక, కేవలము పేలవమైన మాటల నుండి వ్యక్తము చేయుదురు. వాచావాత్సల్యమే లోతులేని వారికి ప్రీతి.
ప్రపంచమంతయు మాటల గారడిలో చిక్కి, ప్రేమయని స్నేహమని తల్లక్రిందులగు చున్నది. నిజమగు స్నేహము గలవారు, ప్రేమగలవారు దాని రుచి తెలిసి, భాషణమున రగుల్కొనక, తత్సంబంధిత కార్యముల నిమగ్నులగుదురు. నిశ్శబ్దమున ప్రవహించినంత స్నేహము, ప్రేమ, మాటలలో ప్రవహింపజాలదు. సీతారాముల ప్రేమ వారిరువురికే తెలియును.
కృష్ణ ప్రేమ భార్యలకన్న గోపికలకే ఎక్కువ తెలియును. ద్రౌపదిని గూర్చి కృష్ణునికి గలప్రేమ అత్యంత సన్నిహితము, సున్నితము కూడ. సత్యభామకది అంతుపట్టలేదు. భరతునిపై రామునికి గల ప్రేమ మాటలలో వ్యక్తము కాలేదు. రాముని స్నేహమంతయు క్రియా రూపమే. భాషణామయము కాదు.
గుహుడైనను, జటాయువైనను, శబరియైనను, సుగ్రీవుడైనను, విభీషణుడైనను రాముని స్నేహమును, ప్రేమను, చేతల ద్వారా రుచి చూచిరే కాని మాటల ద్వారా కాదు. లోతులలో జీవించువారికే, స్నేహము ప్రేమ తెలియును. లోతులు నిశ్శబ్దమునకు సంబంధించినవి. నిశ్శబ్దమున సాన్నిధ్యమున్నది. సాన్నిధ్యము దివ్యసాన్నిధ్యమే.
మన యందలి సాన్నిధ్యమే మన ప్రాణములను, తెలివిని నడుపుచున్నవి. మనము గుర్తింప కున్నను, ప్రాణముగను, తెలివిగను పని చేయుచున్నది. ఈ స్నేహమును, ప్రేమను ఏమని పిలువవలెను? సతతము మనలను ప్రేమించు దైవప్రేమ నిశ్శబ్దముననే నున్నది. స్నేహమునకు ప్రేమకు దైవమే పరాకాష్ఠ. అది నిశ్శబ్దమున ప్రవేశించిన వారికే తెలియును.

పరమానందమన్నది మనం సాధించింది కాదు. కాలేదు. ఎందుకంటే మనం మాయమయినపుడే అది వుంటుంది. దాన్ని సాధించామనడానికి మనం అక్కడుండాలి. మనం సాధించామని చెబితే అది నకిలీదవుతుంది. నిజం కాదు. అది కేవలం కలలాంటిది. తొందరగానే అది వెళ్ళిపోతుంది. నీకు దు:ఖం మిగుల్తుంది. మనసు నీ మీద కపటోపాయం పన్నుతుంది. తిరుగుతూ వుండడానికి రకరకాల వలలు విసురుతుంది. కుతంత్రాలు పన్నుతుంది. దాని చివరి అస్త్రం అంతిమమయిన కుట్ర కృత్రిమమయిన పరమానందాన్ని సృష్టించడమే.
నిజమైన పరమానందం ఉనికి యిచ్చిన బహుమానం. అది అహం మరణించినపుడు మాత్రమే జరుగుతుంది. అహమన్నది అడ్డంకి. నువ్వు లేని క్షణం అస్తిత్వం వుంటుంది. నీ సంపూర్ణ నిశ్శబ్దంలో, లేనితనంలో అస్తిత్వం అనుభవం పరమానందంగా ఆవిష్కార మవుతుంది.
నీ నిశ్శబ్ద స్థలంలో అస్తిత్వ నాట్యం కొనసాగుతుంది. అక్కడ ఎట్లాంటి ప్రమేయం వుండకూడదు. మనసుండకూడదు. ఆటంకం కలిగించే అహముండకూడదు. అపుడే అక్కడ పరమానంద ముంటుంది. ధ్యానం చేసే పని వ్యతిరేకదిశలో వుంటుంది. అది అహాన్ని విధ్వంసిస్తుంది. పరమానందం దానంతట అదే వస్తుంది.

సుఖ సౌఖ్యముల స్వరూపిణి శ్రీమాత అని అర్థము. శ్రీమాత ఆరాధకులకు సుఖ సౌఖ్య పరంపరలు మెండుగ నుండును. సకల సౌభాగ్యము లుండును. జీవితమున యోగముతోపాటు భోగము, వైభోగము వుండును. రోగము లుండవు. సంతోషమెప్పుడునూ నీడవలె అంటి పెట్టుకొని యుండును. శ్రీమాత ఆరాధనా బలమున సత్యమును, ధర్మమును అప్రయత్నముగ అనుసరింతురు.
మానవ జీవితము మూడు రకములుగ గోచరించును. యోగమయము, భోగమయము,
రోగమయము. రోగములచే పీడింప బడువారు ప్రయత్నించి సత్యధర్మముల నిలబడవలెను. భోగమయ జీవితము వర్ణితము కాదు. యోగుల యందు భోగులు కూడ అనేకులు కలరు. యోగములేని భోగమే రోగములకు కారణము.
యోగమయ జీవనమున యమ నియమము లాచరింపబడుట వలన మానసిక సుఖముండును. అట్టివారు సంతోషముగ కర్తవ్యములను నిర్వర్తించు చుందురు. అంతరంగమున ఆరాధన జరుగుచుండును. అంతరంగమున దైవముతో యోగము చెందుట, బహిరంగమున వైభవముగ జీవించుట, శ్రీమాత అనుగ్రహముగ వీరికి లభించును. జీవితమున కర్తవ్యమును నిర్వర్తించువారు రెండు రకములుగ నుందురు.
నిర్వర్తించవలెను కదా! అని నిర్వర్తించువారు మెండు. ఇట్టివారు కర్తవ్యము తప్పదు గనుక నిర్వర్తింతురు. తప్పుకొనుటకు వీలున్నచో తప్పించు కొందురు. వీరికి సుఖము శాశ్వతము కాదు. “తనకున్న పని తినకున్నా తప్పదు” అని చేయువారు కర్తవ్య నిర్వహణ మును మానసికమైన బరువుతో చేయుదురు. తప్పని పనియైనను, ఉల్లాసముగ చేయుట అను మార్గ మొకటున్నది. ఇష్టపడి చేసినచో కష్టమైన పని అయిననూ సంతోషముగ నిర్వర్తింపవచ్చును.
ఇట్లు కర్తవ్యములను యిష్టపడి చేయుట ఎవరి కబ్బునో వారే జీవితమును సుఖమయము గావించు కొనగలరు. ఇట్టి వారే జీవితమున సంపద లుండుట, లేకుండుటతో సంబంధములేక వైభోగముగ జీవింతురు. వీరు జీవించు విధానమున సత్యధర్మముల వైభవము గోచరించును. వీరియందు గోచరించు వైభోగమే భోగిని.

Bhoga means luxuries. She is the enjoyer of all luxuries. The embodiment of luxuries (She), enjoying the luxuries (of Her creations). Possibly this nāma is derived from the previous nāma saying that the Brahman proceeds to the Brahman itself. Here the term luxury could mean Her creations and She enjoys the acts of Her creation. There is a saying that God watches all our actions.
Bhoginī is the name of a female serpent, indicating Her kuṇḍalinī form. But this explanation at this point seems to be inappropriate.
