*దుర్గామాత మూడవ నామమైన చంద్రఘంటా స్వరూపం మిక్కిలి శాంతిప్రదము, కల్యాణకారకము. తన శిరస్సుపై అర్ధచంద్రుడు ఘంటాకృతిగా వుండడం వల్ల ఈ నామం ఏర్పడింది. ఈమెని ఆరాధిస్తే సింహపరాక్రమముతో నిర్భయంగా ఉంటారు. జపమాల,ఘంట, బాణం, పదునైన ఖడ్గం, శ్వేత పద్మం, పానపాత్ర, త్రిశూలం, ధనుస్సు, కమలం, గద ధరించి మహాలావణ్య శోభతో ప్రకాశిస్తుంది.*
*🌷. చరిత్ర :*
*దుర్గామాతయొక్క మూడవ శక్తి నామము ‘చంద్రఘంట’. నవరాత్రి ఉత్సవాలలో మూడవరోజున ఈమె విగ్రహానికే పూజాపురస్కారాలు జరుగుతాయి. ఈ స్వరూపము మిక్కిలి శాంతిప్రదము, కల్యాణ కారకము. ఈమె తన శిరమున దాల్చిన అర్ధచంద్రుడు ఘాంటాకృతిలో ఉండటంవల్ల ఈమెకు ‘చంద్రఘంట’ అనే పేరు స్థిరపడింది. ఈమె శరీరకాంతి బంగారువన్నెలో మిలమిలలాడుతుటుంది. తన పది చేతులలో – ఖడ్గము మొదలయిన శస్త్రములను, బాణము మున్నగు అస్త్రములను ధరించి ఉంటుంది. సర్వదా సమరసన్నాహయై యుద్ధముద్రలో ఉండే దివ్య మంగళ స్వరూపం. ఈమె గంటనుండి వెలువడే భయంకర ధ్వనులను విన్నంతనే క్రూరులైన దుష్టులు గడగడలాడిపోతారు.*
*నవరాత్రి దుర్గాపూజలలో మూడవ రోజు సేవ మిక్కిలి మహిమోపేతమైనది. ఆ రోజు సాధకుని మనస్సు మణిపూరక చక్రాన్ని ప్రవేశిస్తుంది. చంద్రఘంటాదేవి కృపవలన ఉపాసకునికి దివ్య వస్తు సందర్శనం కలుగుతుందని చెబుతారు. దివ్య సుగంధ అనుభవము కూడా సిద్ధిస్తుంది. అలాగే వివిధాలైన దివ్యధ్వనులు కూడా వినిపిస్తాయి. ఈ దివ్యానుభవ అనుభూతికొరకు, సాధకుడు సావధానుడై ఉండాలి.*
*ఈ మాత కృపవలన సాధకుని సమస్త పాపాలూ, బాధలూ తొలగిపోతాయి. ఈమె ఆరాధన సద్యః ఫలదాయకము. ఈమె నిరంతరమూ యుద్దసన్నద్ధురాలై ఉన్నట్లు దర్శనమిస్తుంది కనుక భక్తుల కష్టాలను అతి శీఘ్రముగా నివారిస్తుంది. ఈ సింహవాహనను ఉపాసించేవారు సింహసదృశులై పరాక్రమశాలురుగా నిర్భయులుగా ఉంటారు. ఈమె ఘాంటానాదము సంతతము భక్తులను భూతప్రేతాది బాధలనుండి కాపాడుతూ ఉంటుంది. ఈమెను సేవించినంతనే శరణాగతుల రక్షణకై అభయఘంట ధ్వనిస్తూ ఉంటుంది.*
*ఈ దేవీ స్వరూపము దుష్టులను అణచివేయటంలో, హతమార్చుటంలో అను క్షణమూ సన్నద్ధురాలై ఉండునదే; అయినప్పటికీ భక్తులకూ, ఉపాసకులకూ ఈమె స్వరూపము మిక్కిలి సౌమ్యముగానూ, ప్రశాంతముగానూ కనబడుతూ ఉంటుంది. ఈమెను ఆరాధించడంవల్ల సాధకులలో వీరత్వ నిర్భయత్వములతోపాటు సౌమ్యతా, వినమ్రతలు పెంపొందుతుంటాయి. వారి నేత్రాలలోని కాంతులు, ముఖవర్చస్సు, శరీర శోభలు ఇనుమడిస్తూ, సద్గుణములు వృద్ధిచెందుతుంటాయి. వారి కంఠస్వరములలో అలౌకికమైన దివ్యమాధుర్యము రాశిగా ఏర్పడుతుంది. చంద్రఘంటాదేవిని భజించేవారు, ఉపాసించేవారు ఎక్కడికి వెళ్ళినా వారిని దర్శించిన వారందరూ సుఖశాంతులను పొందుతారు. ఇలాంటి ఉత్తమ సాధకుల శరీరాలనుండి దివ్యమూ, ప్రకాశవంతమూ అయిన తేజస్సు బహిర్గతము అవుతూ ఉంటుంది. ఈ దివ్య ప్రక్రియ సామాన్యులదృష్టికి గోచరించదు. కానీ ఉత్తమ సాధకులూ, వారి అనుయాయులు మాత్రము వీటిని గ్రహించి, అనుభూతిని పొందగలరు.*
*మనము త్రికరణశుద్ధిగా విధ్యుక్తకర్మలను ఆచరిస్తూ, పవిత్రమైన అంతఃకరణ కలిగి చంద్రఘాంటాదేవిని శరణుజొచ్చి, ఆమెను ఉపాసించడానికీ, ఆరాధించడానికీ తత్పరులమై ఉండాలి. అలాంటి ఉపాసన ప్రభావము వల్ల, మనము సమస్త సాంసారిక కష్టములనుండి విముక్తులమై, సహజంగానే పరమపద ప్రాప్తికి అర్హులమవుతాము. నిరంతరమూ ఈ దేవి పవిత్రమూర్తిని ధ్యానిస్తూ మనము సాధనలో అగ్రగణ్యులమవ్వటానికి ప్రయత్నిస్తూ ఉండాలి. దేవి ధ్యానము మనకు ఇహపర లోకాలలో పరమ కల్యాణదాయకమై సద్గతులను ప్రాప్తింపజేస్తుంది.*

*Maa Chandraghanta is the third manifestation of Devi Durga and is worshipped on the 3rd of Navratri. Since she has a Chandra or half moon, in the shape of a Ghanta (bell), on her forehead, she is addressed as Chandraghanta. A symbol of peace, serenity and prosperity, Maa Chandraghanta has three eyes and ten hands holding ten types of swords, weapons and arrows. She establishes justice and gives Her devotees the courage and strength to fight challenges.*
*Her appearance may be of a source of power which is always busy killing and suppressing the bad and wicked. However, for her devotees, Maa is serene, gentle and peaceful.
