*ఇంద్రియములు గూడ తైజస (రాజస) అహంకార కార్యములే - కర్మ, జ్ఞానవిభాగములను అనుసరించి, కర్మేంద్రియములు, జ్ఞానేంద్రియములు అని రెండు విభాగములు గలవు. కర్మేంద్రియములు ప్రాణశక్తివలన పనిచేయును. జ్ఞానేంద్రియములు బుద్ధి వలన పని చేయును.*

*31. taijasānīndriyāṇy eva kriyā-jñāna-vibhāgaśaḥ*

*Egoism in the mode of passion produces two kinds of senses—the senses for acquiring knowledge and the senses of action. The senses of action depend on the vital energy, and the senses for acquiring knowledge depend on intelligence.*

*It has been explained in the previous verses that mind is the product of ego in goodness and that the function of the mind is acceptance and rejection according to desire. But here intelligence is said to be the product of ego in passion. That is the distinction between mind and intelligence; mind is a product of egoism in goodness, and intelligence is a product of egoism in passion. The desire to accept something and reject something is a very important factor of the mind. Since mind is a product of the mode of goodness, if it is fixed upon the Lord of the mind, Aniruddha, then the mind can be changed to Divine consciousness.*

*🌻. విష్ణుపరిత్రారోపణ విధి  - 1🌻*

అగ్ని దేవుడు చెప్పెను:- ప్రాతఃకాలమున స్నానాదికము చేసి, ద్వారపాలుల పూజ చేసిన పిదప గుప్తస్థానము నందు ప్రవేశించి, వెనుక అధివాసితములైన పవిత్రకములనుండి ఒక దానిని ప్రసాదముగా గ్రహింపవలెను. మిగిలిన వస్త్రములును, అలంకారములు,ను, గంధమును, నిర్మాల్యమును తొలగించి భగవంతునకు స్నానము చేయించి పూజ చేయవలయును, పంఛామృత-కషాయ-గంధోదకములచే స్నానము చేయించి ముందగనే సిద్ధము చేసికొని ఉంచుకొనిన వస్త్ర-గంధ-పుష్పములను దేవునకు సమర్పింపవలెను.

నిత్యహోమము చేసిన విధముగ అగ్నిలోహోమము చేసి భగవంతుని స్తుతించి, ప్రార్థించి భగవచ్చరణములపై శిరస్సు ఉంచవలెను. తన సమస్తకర్మలను భగవంతునకు సమర్పించి పిదప నైమిత్తకపూజ చేయవలెను. ద్వారపాల-విష్ణు-కుంభ-వర్ధనులను ప్రార్థింపవలెను. "అతో దేవాః" ఇత్యాదిమంత్రముచే గాని, మూలమంత్రము గాని కలశముపై శ్రీహరిని ఈ విధముం ప్రార్థింపవలెను. "ఓ కృష్ణా! కృష్ణా! నీకు నమస్కారము. ఈ పవిత్రమును గ్రహింపుము. ఇది ఉపాసకుని పవిత్రునిగ చేసి సంవత్సరముపాటు చేయు పూజయొక్క సంపూర్ణ ఫలమును ఇచ్చును.

పరమేశ్వరా! నేను చేసిన పాపములను నశింపచేసి నన్ను పరమపవిత్రుని చేయుము. సురేశ్వరా! నీ కృపచే నేను పరిశుద్ధుడ నగుదును". హృదయశిరోమంత్రములచే పవిత్రమునకును, తనకును అభిషేకము చేసి విష్ణుకలశమును ప్రోక్షించిన పిమ్మట దేవుని దగ్గరకు వెళ్ళవలెను. దేవుని రక్షాబంధమును తొలగించి, పవిత్రమును సమర్పించి-"ప్రభో! నేను నిర్మించిన ఈ బ్రహ్మసూత్రమును స్వీకరింపుము. ఇది కర్మపరిపూర్తిసాధనము. నాయం దేవిధమైన దోషములను ఉండని విధముగ ఈ పవిత్రారోపణకర్మను సంపన్నము చేయుము" అని ప్రార్థిం-వలెను.

ద్వారపాలులకును, యోగపీఠాసనమునకును, ముఖ్యగురువులకును పవిత్రకము సమర్పింపవలెను. వీటిలో కనిష్ఠ పవిత్రకమును (నాభివరకు వచ్చుదానిని) ద్వారపాలులకును, మధ్యమపవిత్రకమును (తొడలవరకు వచ్చుదానిని) యోగ పీఠాసనమునకును, ఉత్తమపవిత్రకమును (మోకాళ్ళ వరకు మచ్చుదానిని గురువులకును ఇవ్వవలెను. వనమాలా పవిత్రకమును (పాదములవరకు వచ్చుదానిని) మూలమంత్రముతో భగవంతునకు సమర్పింపవలెను.

*Chapter 36*
*🌻 Mode of performing the investiture of sacred thread - 1 🌻*

Agni said:

1. Having bathed in the morning and worshipping the guardian deities, (the worshipper) should enter the secret chamber and gather (articles) and place.

2. The articles (are) the dress, ornaments and perfumes which were offered in the consecration ceremony earlier. Having discarded the remnants (of articles for worship), the deity should be well-installed and worshipped.

3. One should offer the pañcāmṛta (five sweet articles), the unguents, pure and perfumed waters as well as dress, perfumes.and flowers.

4. Having offered unto the fire as done everyday one should pray to the deity and bow down. Having submitted one’s actions to the deity one should perform the naimittika (periodical) ceremony.

5. One should worship the gate-keeper, the pitcher ofViṣṇu and the varddhanī (vessel) and Hari. The pitcher (should be consecrated) with the sacred syllable ‘ato deva’ (and the following).

6. “O Kṛṣṇa! Salutations to you. You accept this sacred thread for the sake of purifying all and which yields fruits of a year’s worship.

7. You purify sins that had been committed by me. O God! the lord of celestials I will be purified by your grace.”

8. Having sprinkled mentally the sacred thread and the self, and having sprinkled the pitcher of Viṣṇu, one should go near the deity.

9-10. One should offer a sacred thread to the self, after having discarded the protective thread (tied on the hand). O Lord! Accept the sacred thread that has been made ready by me, for the sake of accomplishing rites so that there may not be any fault on me. The sacred thread (should be offered) to the gate-keepers, the seat and to the chief preceptors.

11. The garlands of forest flowers (should be offered) to the gods of inferior order with the basic formula.

*She, being the foremost worshipper of Lord Shiva, is available only to them. She miraculously surrenders to them and performs siddhis from them. That's the secret of why Asura worship being useless to them, and the worship of devotees being of help to them in time. Asuras try to conquer and fail. Devotees try to surrender themselves to Sri Mata and become selfless. She is available easily to them.*
