03. న రూపమస్యేహ తథోపలభ్యతే నాన్తో న చాదిర్న చ సంప్రతిష్టా |
అశ్వత్థమేనం సువిరూఢమూలం అసంగశస్త్రేణ దృఢేన ఛిత్వా ||

🌷. తాత్పర్యం : ఈ వృక్షపు యథార్థరూపము ఈ జగమునందు తెలియబడదు. దాని అదిగాని, అంతమునుగాని లేదా మూలముగాని ఎవ్వరును అవగతము చేసికొనజాలరు. కాని స్థిరముగా నాటుకొని యున్న ఈ సంసారవృక్షమును మనుజుడు దృఢచిత్తముతో అసంగమను శస్త్రముచే ఖండించి వేయవలయును.

🌷. భాష్యము : ఈ భౌతికజగమునందు అశ్వత్థవృక్షము యథార్థరూపము అవగతము కాదని ఇచ్చట స్పష్టముగా తెలుపబడినది. మూలము ఊర్థ్వముగా నున్నందున ఈ వృక్షపు విస్తారము క్రిందుగా నున్నది. అట్టి వృక్షము యొక్క విస్తారమునందు బద్ధుడైనపుడు మనుజుడు అది ఎంతవరకు వ్యాపించియున్నదనెడి విషయముగాని, దాని మొదలుగాని గాంచలేడు. అయినను అతడు ఈ వృక్షకారణమును కనుగొనియే తీరవలెను.

నేను ఫలానావారి కుమారుడును, నా తండ్రి ఫలానావారి కుమారుడు, నా తండ్రి యొక్క తండ్రి ఫలానావారి కుమారుడు అనుచు పరిశోధన గావించుచు పోయినచో చివరకు గర్భోదకశాయివిష్ణువు నుండి ఆవిర్భవించిన బ్రహ్మదేవుడు సర్వులకు మూలమని తెలియును.

🌴 Chapter 15 - Purushothama Yoga - 03 🌴

03. na rūpam asyeha tathopalabhyate nānto na cādir na ca sampratiṣṭhā
aśvattham enaṁ su-virūḍha-mūlam asaṅga-śastreṇa dṛḍhena chittvā

🌷 Translation : The real form of this tree cannot be perceived in this world. No one can understand where it ends, where it begins, or where its foundation is.

🌹 Purport : It is now clearly stated that the real form of this banyan tree cannot be understood in this material world. Since the root is upwards, the extension of the real tree is at the other end.

When entangled with the material expansions of the tree, one cannot see how far the tree extends, nor can one see the beginning of this tree. Yet one has to find out the cause. “I am the son of my father, my father is the son of such-and-such a person, etc.”
