*శిరస్సున బ్రహ్మ రంధ్రమున వున్నది శ్రీమాత అని అర్థము. శిరస్సున శివునితో కూడియుండు శ్రీమాత శివానుగ్రహము నందించు గురు రూపిణిగ యున్నది. బ్రహ్మరంధ్రము నందు శిరస్సు ఊర్ధ్వమున శివునితో నుండుట ఆమె సహజ స్థితి. అటు నుండి క్రమముగ తాను సంకల్పమై దిగివచ్చుచు సృష్టి నిర్మాణము, జీవ నిర్మాణము గావించును. అవరోహణ క్రమమున శ్రీమాత దిగి వచ్చుటయే గంగావతరణమని పేర్కొందురు. శ్రీచక్ర మేరువు మన శిరస్సు నందలి శిఖ ప్రాంతమున యున్నది. అచ్చట శివునితో కూడియున్న మాత శిరస్థ్సితగా యున్నది.*

*The meaning conveyed here is that Sri Mata resides in the Brahmarandhra (crown center) of the head. She exists there along with Lord Shiva, assuming the form of a Guru who grants Shiva's grace. Her natural state is to remain in the Brahmarandhra, at the uppermost point of the head, in union with Shiva. From there, through Her divine will, She gradually descends, facilitating both the creation of the universe and the formation of beings. This descent of Sri Mata through various stages is often compared to the descent of the Ganga (Ganga Avataraṇa). It is also said that the Sri Chakra Meru is present at the crown region (Shikha) of our head, where Sri Mata, along with Shiva, resides in a supreme state.*
