శివుడు పార్వతిని వివాహమాడి కైలాసమునకు వచ్చి మిక్కిలి శోభిల్లెను. ఆయన దేవకార్యమును గురించి, దేవకార్యములో జనులకు కలిగే పీడను గురించి ఆలోచించెను (10). భగవానుడు శివుడు కైలాసమునకు చేరుకోగానే, గణములందరు మిక్కిలి ఆనందముతో వివిధ సౌఖ్యములనను భవించిరి (11). శివుడు కైలాసమునకు రాగానే మహోత్సవము ప్రవర్తిల్లెను. దేవతలు ఆనందముతో నిండిన మనస్సు గలవారై తమ ధామములకు వెళ్లిరి (12).
అపుడు మంగళస్వరూపుడగు మహాదేవుడు పార్వతిని దోడ్కొని మహాదివ్యము, మనోహరము అగు నిర్జనస్థానమునకు వెళ్లెను (13). అచట పుష్పములతో, గంధముతో కూడినది, పరమాద్భుతమైనది, భోగవస్తువులతో కూడినది, శుభకరము, సంభోగమునకు అనుకూలమైనది అగు శయ్యను ఏర్పాటు చేసి (14), భగవాన్ శంభుడు అచట గిరిజతో గూడి దేవమానముచే వేయి సంవత్సరములు రమించెను. ఇతరుల మానమును రక్షించు (15) ఆ శివుడు తన లీలచే దుర్గాదేవి యొక్క శరీరమును స్పృశించినంత మాత్రాన మూర్ఛితుడయ్యెను. ఆమె శివుని స్పర్శచే మూర్ఛితురాలై రాత్రింబగళ్లను ఎరుగకుండెను (16).
ఓ పుణ్యాత్మా! లోకాచార ప్రవర్తకుడగు హరుడు భోగమగ్నుడై యుండగా చాలకాలము గడిచిపోయెను (17). ఓ కుమారా! అపుడు ఇంద్రుడు మొదలుగా గల దేవతలందరు మేరు పర్వతముపై ఒక చోట సమావేశ##మై పరిస్థితని చర్చించిరి (18).

10. Returning to Kailāsa after marrying Pārvatī, Śiva attained added lustre. He thought over the task of the gods and the pain of the people involved in the fulfilment of that task.
11. When Śiva returned to Kailāsa, the joyful Gaṇas made all arrangements for His happiness.
12. When Śiva returned to Kailāsa, there was great jubilation there. The gods returned to their realms with their minds full of joy.
13. Then taking Pārvatī, the daughter of the mountain, with Him, Śiva, the great Lord, went to a delightful brilliant isolated place.
14-15. Making a wonderful bed conducive to good sexual pleasure, rendered smooth and fragrant with flowers and sandal paste and auspiciously supplemented with objects of enjoyment, lord ‘Śiva’ the bestower of honour, indulged in dalliance with Pārvatī for a thousand years of god.[3]
16. In that divine sport at the mere contact with Pārvatī, Śiva lapsed in unconsciousness. She too lapsed into unconsciousness due to the contact with Śiva. She neither knew the day nor the night.
17. When Śiva following the worldly way began his enjoyment of pleasures, O sinless one, a great length of time passed by as though it was a mere moment in their awareness.
18. Then, O dear, Indra and the gods gathered together on the mountain Meru and began their mutual discussion.

నారదుడు పలికెను.
యాగవూజాది క్రియలు చేయుటకు ముందు చేయదగిన స్నానమును గూర్చి చెప్పెదను. నృసింహమంత్రము నుచ్చరించుచు మృత్తికను గ్రహించి, దానిని రెండు భాగములుచేసి ఒకదానిచే మలస్నానము చేయవలెను. మునిగి, ఆచమనము చేసి, నృసింహమంత్రముచే న్యాసము చేసి, రక్ష చేసికొని పిమ్మట ప్రాణాయామపూర్వకముగా విధిస్నానము చేయవలెను. 1,2
అష్టాక్షరమంత్రమును జపించుచు, శ్రీ మహావిష్ణువును హృదయములో ధ్యానించుచు అరచేతిలో మట్టిని మూడు భాగములుగా చేసి ఉంచుకొని తరవాత నృసింహమంత్రము తము జంపిచుచు దిగ్బంధము చేయవలెను. వాసుదేవ మంత్రమును జపించుచు సంకల్పించి తీర్థమును స్పృశించసలెను. వేదాది మంత్రములచే గాత్రమును తుడిచికొని మూర్తిలో నున్న దేవుని ఆదాధించి. స్మరించుచు, వస్త్రము ధరించి అఘమర్షణము చేయవలెను (అఘమర్షణ మంత్రములను పఠించవలెను).
మంత్రములచే విన్యాసము చేసి, చేతిలోనున్న జలము నిర్మార్జనము చేసి, నారాయణ మంత్రముతో ప్రాణాయూమము చేసి, జలమునను వాసనచూచి విడిచిపెట్టవలెను. హరిని ధ్యానించుచు అర్ఘ్యమునిచ్చి, ద్వాదశాక్షరిని జపించి, యోగపీఠము మొదట క్రమముగ ఇతర దేవతలకు కూడ తర్పణము చేయవలెను. మంత్రములకును దిక్పాలుర వరకు దేవతలకును, బుషులకును. సితృగణములకును, మనుష్యులకును స్థావరాంతములగు సమస్త భూతములకును తర్పణముచేసి, పిమ్మట ఉపవిష్ణుడై అంగన్యాసము చేసి, మత్రోపసంహారము చేసి, యాగ గృహమును ప్రవేశించవలెను, ఇతర పూజలలో ఇట్లే మూలమంత్రాదులచే స్నానము చేయవలెను. 3-8
అగ్ని మహాపురాణములో స్నానవిధి నిరూపించు ఇరువది రెండవ అధ్యాయము సమప్తము.

*🌻 Procedure for bathing prior to a religious rite 🌻*
Nārada said:
1. I will (now) describe the (mode of) bathing preceding (any religious) act. Having taken a clod of earth accompanied by (meditation on) the man-lion form (of Viṣṇu), and making it into two parts, (one has to do) mental bathing with one part of it.
2. Having immersed (one’s body in waters) and having partaken (three drops of) water and assigning (on the body) with the lion (man-lion) one has to get himself protected. Then one has to do bathing as laid down, being preceded by the control of the breath.
3. Meditating on Lord Hari in one’s heart with the eight-syllabled mantra (Oṃ namo Vāsudevāya, Oṃ namo Nārāyaṇāya or Oṃ namo Narasiṃhāya), the clod of earth (is made) into three parts on the palm and protection in (all) the quarters (is achieved) with the recitation of (the mantra) for the lion (man-lion).
4-7. With the recitation (of the mantra) ofVāsudeva, having mentally resolved the sacred water and having rubbed the body with vedic mantras and having adored the image of deity and having remembered the aghamarṣaṇa (sūkta) which destroys sins) and putting on a cloth, perform the (following) rite. Putting water on the palm, accompanied by mantras and wiping off waters on the palm, controlling with the Nārāyaṇa (mantra), the air is inhaled and water is let off. Then contemplating on Hari, offering waters (of oblation) and reciting the twelve-syllabled (mantra), appeasing all others with devotion commencing in order with the seat of meditation, the mantras upto all the guardian deities of the quarters, the sages, clans of manes, men, all beings and ending with the mobile (beings) are placed.
8. Then having assigned limbs (for the different deities), withdrawing the mantras one has to go to the house for performing rites. In this way, one has to bathe with the mūlamantra[1].

*🕉. నా సూచన ఏమిటంటే, మీరు సంగీతాన్ని ఆస్వాదించండి, కవిత్వాన్ని ఆస్వాదించండి, ప్రకృతిని ఆస్వాదించండి, కానీ దానిని విడదీయడానికి వచ్చే ప్రలోభాలకు దూరంగా ఉండండి. పోలికలు చేయవద్దు, ఎందుకంటే పోల్చడం వ్యర్థం. 🕉*
*గులాబీని బంతి పువ్వుతో పోల్చవద్దు. అవి రెండూ పువ్వులు, కాబట్టి ఖచ్చితంగా వాటికి కొన్ని సారూప్యతలు ఉన్నాయి, కానీ వాటి సారూప్యతలు అక్కడే ముగుస్తాయి. అవి కూడా ప్రత్యేకమైనవి. బంతి పువ్వు అంటే బంతి పువ్వు... అందులోని బంగారం, అలాంటి డ్యాన్స్ బంగారం. రోజా ఒక గులాబీ... ఆ సువాసన, ఆ సజీవత. రెండూ పువ్వులు, కాబట్టి మీరు సారూప్యతలను కనుగొనవచ్చు, కానీ వాటిలోకి వెళ్లడంలో అర్థం లేదు. దాని వల్ల మీరు ప్రత్యేకతను కోల్పోవచ్చు. ప్రత్యేకత అందంగా ఉంటుంది. సమాజంలో సారూప్యతలను కనుగొనే వ్యక్తులు ఉన్నారు: వేరు వేరు అద్భుతమైన వాటి మధ్య సారూప్యమైనది కనుగొనే ప్రయత్నం చేసేవారు. వీరు తెలివితక్కువ వ్యక్తులు; వారు తమ సమయాన్ని వృధా చేస్తారు, మరియు వారు ఇతరుల సమయాన్ని వృధా చేస్తారు.*
*ఎల్లప్పుడూ ప్రత్యేకమైన వాటిని చూడండి మరియు పోల్చడానికి చూసే ప్రలోభాలను నివారించండి. ఎందుకంటే పోలిక మీరు చూసే ప్రతిదాన్ని సామాన్యంగా, మధ్యస్థంగా చేస్తుంది. మామూలు పదాలు కూడా మత్తెక్కించ గల కవి నుండి వచ్చినప్పుడు చాలా మత్తుగా మారతాయి. నీటిని తీర్ధంగా మార్చడం లాంటిది అది. ఒక కవి చేయగల అద్భుతం అది. అయితే దీనికి విరుద్ధంగా చేసే ప్రొఫెసర్లు, పండితులు ఉన్నారు: తీర్థమును కూడా సాధారణ నీరుగా చేయగల వారు. అద్భుతమైన దాన్ని సామాన్యమైనదిగా మార్చడంలో నిపుణులు. కానీ అలా చేయవద్దు. మీరు నీటిని తీర్థంగా మార్చలేకపోతే, ఏమీ చేయకపోవడమే మంచిది.*

*🕉 My suggestion is that you enjoy music, enjoy poetry, enjoy nature, but avoid the temptation to dissect it. And don't make comparisons, because comparing is futile. 🕉*
*Don't compare a rose to a marigold. They are both flowers, so certainly they have certain similarities, but that is where their similarities end. They are unique too. A marigold is a marigold ... the gold of it, such a dancing gold. The rose is a rose ... that rosiness, that liveliness. Both are flowers, so you can find similarities, but there is no-point in going into them. You may lose track of the uniqueness, and the uniqueness is beautiful. There are people who go on finding similarities: what is similar in the various extraordinary things. These are stupid people; they waste their time, and they will waste other people's time.*
*Always look at the unique and avoid the temptation to compare, because comparison will make whatever you are looking at mundane, mediocre. Turning ordinary water into wine is the miracle of a poet, that is poetry- turning water into Wine. Ordinary words become so intoxicating when they come from a poet that can be drunk. But then there are professors, pundits, and scholars who do just the opposite: They are experts in turning wine into water. Don't do that. If you can't turn water into wine, it is better not to do anything.*

*తన భక్తుల జయము తన జయముగ సంతసించును. భక్తులు ఆనందించు చుండుగ చూచి తానునూ ఆనందమును పొందును. అవసరమగుచో పర్వత మంత కర్మలను కూడ వరాహ స్వరూపిణియై పెళ్ళగించి ఆనందము ప్రసాదించును. శ్రీమాత ఆరాధనము భక్తి శ్రద్ధలతో గావించువారు అనంతమగు సంసార సముద్రమును ఆనంద మను పడవనెక్కి సాగుదురు. శ్రీమాత భక్తులకు అపజయమే లేదు.*
