*యోగస్య లక్షణం వక్ష్యే సబీజస్య నృపాత్మజే|*
*మనో యేనైవ విధినా ప్రసన్నం యాతి సత్పథమ్॥*
*తాత్పర్యము : కపిలభగవానుడు నుడివెను. తల్లీ! నీకు సగుణ భక్తియుక్త యోగ లక్షణములను గూర్చి తెలిపెదను. ఆ సాధనవలన మనస్సు ప్రశాంతమగుటయేగాక, చిత్తము నిర్మలమై శీఘ్రముగా పరమాత్మమార్గమునందు ప్రవృత్తమగును.*
*వ్యాఖ్య : కపిల భగవానుడు ఈ అధ్యాయమున, సాధనములతో కూడి ఉన్నటువంటి భక్తి యోగ లక్షణాలను వివరిస్తున్నాడు. ఈ భక్తి యోగము తెలుసుకున్నందు వలన మనసు ప్రసన్నమవుతుంది. ఇక్కడ సత్పధములో, సత్ అంటే పరమాత్మ - ఆయనను ఆశ్రయించడానికి మార్గం. దానికి మనసు ప్రసన్నముగా ఉండాలి. అందుకు రాగమూ, ద్వ్హేషమూ, మోహమూ పోవాలి. ప్రశన్నతా అనేది సకారణం కాదు. ఐహిక విషయాలతో వచ్చేది ప్రశాంతత కాదు. రాగ ద్వేషాలు లేని మానసిక స్థితి.*

*🌴 4. Features of Bhakti Yoga and Practices - 01 🌴*
*01. śrī-bhagavān uvāca :*
*yogasya lakṣaṇaṁ vakṣye sabījasya nṛpātmaje*
*mano yenaiva vidhinā prasannaṁ yāti sat-patham*
*MEANING : The Personality of Godhead said: My dear mother, O daughter of the King, now I shall explain to you the system of yoga, the object of which is to concentrate the mind. By practicing this system one can become joyful and progressively advance towards the path of the Absolute Truth.*
*PURPORT : The yoga process explained by Lord Kapiladeva in this chapter is authorized and standard, and therefore these instructions should be followed very carefully. To begin, the Lord says that by yoga practice one can make progress towards understanding the Absolute Truth, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. In the previous chapter it has been clearly stated that the desired result of yoga is not to achieve some wonderful mystic power. One should not be at all attracted by such mystic power, but should attain progressive realization on the path of understanding the Supreme Personality of Godhead.*
*It is stated here that by following the system of yoga one can become joyful. Lord Kapila, the Personality of Godhead, who is the highest authority on yoga, here explains the yoga system known as aṣṭāṅga-yoga, which comprises eight different practices, namely yama, niyama, āsana, prāṇāyāma, pratyāhāra, dhāraṇā, dhyāna and samādhi. By all these stages of practice one must realize Lord Viṣṇu, who is the target of all yoga. There are so-called yoga practices in which one concentrates the mind on voidness or on the impersonal, but this is not approved by the authorized yoga system as explained by Kapiladeva. Even Patañjali explains that the target of all yoga is Viṣṇu. Aṣṭāṅga-yoga is therefore part of Vaiṣṇava practice because its ultimate goal is realization of Viṣṇu. The achievement of success in yoga is not acquisition of mystic power, which is condemned in the previous chapter, but, rather, freedom from all material designations and situation in one's constitutional position. That is the ultimate achievement in yoga practice.*

*మాయావి యగు ఆ యతి శిష్యులతో కూడినవాడై, శివుని ఆజ్ఞను ఉల్లాసముతో పాలించు విష్ణువునకు ప్రణమిల్లి, వెంటనే త్రిపురమునకు వెళ్లెను (37). విష్ణువుచే ప్రేరింపబడినవాడు, జితేంద్రియుడు, మహామాయావి అగు ఆ యతి శీఘ్రముగా ఆ నగరమునందు ప్రవేశించి తన మాయను విస్తరింపజేసెను (38). ఆతడు శిష్యులతో గూడి నగరసమీపములోని ఉద్యానమునందు మకాము చేసి, మాయావులను కూడా మోమింపజేయు తన మాయను ప్రవర్తిల్ల జేసెను (39). ఓ మహర్షీ! ఆతని మాయ శివుని ఆరాధించిన మహిమచే వెనువెంటనే త్రిపురమునందు వ్యాపించలేదు. అపుడా యతి చకితుడయ్యెను (40).*

31. O sage, with great joy they bowed to the lord and stood in front of him.
32. They were grasped by the hand by Viṣṇu and formally entrusted to the preceptor. Their names too were announced by him particularly and lovingly.
33. “Just as you, these too also belong to me. The initial prefix to their names shall be the word “Pūjya” because they are worthy of respect.
34. Let the names Ṛṣi, Yati, Ācārya, and Upādhyāya also be well known appendages to you all.
35. My names shall also be assumed by you. The auspicious name “Arihat” shall be considered destructive of sins.
36. All activities conducive to the happiness of the worlds shall be performed by you. The goal of those who carry on activities favourable to the worlds shall become excellent.”
Sanatkumāra said:—
37. Then, bowing to Viṣṇu who carried out the wishes of Śiva, the deceptive sage went joyously to the three cities accompanied by his disciples.
38. Urged by Viṣṇu of great magic, that sage of great self-control entered the three cities and created illusion.
39. Stationing himself in a garden at the outskirts of the city, accompanied by his disciples he set his magic in motion. That was powerful enough to fascinate even the expert magicians.
40. O sage, his magic was ineffective in the three cities by virtue of Śiva’s worship. Then the heretic sage became distressed.

*🕉. అపరాధ భావం అహంకార మనస్సులోని భాగం. అది ఆధ్యాత్మికం కాదు. మతాలు దానితో దోపిడీ చేస్తున్నాయి, కానీ ఆధ్యాత్మికతతో దీనికి సంబంధం లేదు. అపరాధ భావం, నువ్వు ఇంకోలా చేసి వుంటే బాగుండేది అని చెబుతుంది. నువ్వు నిస్సహాయుడివి కానట్లు, అన్నీ నీ చేతుల్లోనే ఉన్నట్లు, నీకు అనిపిస్తే, అది అహంభావన. 🕉*

*🕉. Guilt is part if the egoistic mind; it is not spiritual. Religions have been exploiting it, but it has nothing to do with spirituality. Guilt simply tells you that you could have done otherwise. It is an ego feeling; as if you were not helpless, as if everything were in your hands. 🕉*
*Nothing is in your hands. You yourself are not in your hands. Things are happening; nothing is being done. Once you understand this, guilt disappears. Sometimes you can cry and weep for something, but deep down you know it had to happen, because you are helpless, a part of such a great totality--and you are such a tiny part. It is like when there is a leaf on a tree and a strong wind comes and the leaf is separated from the tree. Now the leaf thinks a thousand and one things--that it could have been that way and not this way; that this separation could have been avoided.*
*What could the leaf do? The wind was too strong. Guilt goes on giving you the wrong notion that you are powerful, that you are capable of doing everything. Guilt is the shadow of the ego: You could not change the situation, and now you are feeling guilty about it. If you look deep into it, you will see that you were helpless, and the whole experience will help you become less egoistic. If you go on watching the shape things take, the forms that arise, and the happenings that happen, by and by you drop your ego. Love happens--separation too. We cannot do anything about it. This is what! call a spiritual attitude: when you understand that nothing can be done; when you understand that you are just a tiny part of such a tremendous vastness, your spiritual awareness blossoms.*

*వంశక్రమాగతమైన పూజా పద్దతులచే భక్తితో సేవింపబడు చున్నది శ్రీమాత అని అర్థము. వంశ పరంపరగా దైవారాధన జరుగుచుండుట భారతీయ సంప్రదాయము. ప్రతి వంశము నందు కులదేవత యుండును. కుల మనగా వంశమని కూడ అర్థము. కులదేవత, ఇలదేవత నిత్యము పూజింపబడుట సదాచారము. దేవతారాధన అన్నియూ కూడ శ్రీమాతనే చేరును. ఎవరెవరు ఏయే కుల మార్గమున పూజించిననూ వారి వారికి సమర్పణ భావమును బట్టి శ్రీమాత అనుగ్రహించు చుండును. ధూప దీప నైవేద్యాదులు అర్పించుచూ, ఆరాధన చేయుచు వంశానుక్రమముగ ఆరాధనము నిర్వర్తించు పద్దతి సమ్మతమైన పద్దతియే. ఈ పద్దతిని కౌళ మతము లేక కౌళ మార్గమందురు.*
