తాంబూలముతో తృప్తి చెందినది శ్రీమాత అని అర్థము. శ్రీమాత పెదవులు ఎఱ్ఱగ నుండును. దానికి కారణము ఆమె స్వీకరించు తాంబూలమే. తాంబూల స్వీకరణము ఆరోగ్య కారణము. జిహ్వ జాడ్యమును తాంబూలము హరించగలదు. జీర్ణకోశము, జీర్ణావయవము లందలి సమస్త జాడ్యములు నాలుకపై ప్రకటింప బడును. నాలుకను శుభ్రపరచుకొనుట ఆరోగ్యమునకు ప్రధానమగు అంశము. జీర్ణావయవముల అస్వస్థతను నాలుక వ్యక్తపరచు చుండగ నోటి నుండి దుర్గంధము వెలువడుచుండును. నోటి దుర్గంధము అస్వస్థతకు సంకేతము. అట్టి దుర్గంధము నెప్పటికప్పుడు నిర్మూలించు కొనుట సదాచారము.

This indicates that the lips of the Goddess Śrī Mātā are naturally red due to the tāmbūla she consumes. The practice of consuming tāmbūla is tied to health benefits.
