🌴. 16వ అధ్యాయము - దైవాసుర స్వభావములు - 7 🌴
07. ప్రవృత్తిం చ నివృత్తిం చ జనా న విదురాసురా: |
న శౌచం నాపి చాచారో న సత్యం తేషు విద్యతే ||
🌷. తాత్పర్యం : ఆసురీగుణములు గలవారు చేయవలసినదేదియో, చేయరానిదేదియో ఎరుగకుందురు. శుచిత్వముగాని, సదాచారముగాని, సత్యముగాని వారి యందు గోచరింపదు.
🌷. భాష్యము : ప్రతి నాగరిక మానవసమాజము నందు ఆది నుండియు ఆచరింపబడెడి కొన్ని శాస్త్ర నియమనిబంధనలు ఉండును. వేదనాగరికతను పాటించుచు మిక్కిలి నాగరికులని ప్రసిద్ధినొందిన ఆర్యుల విషయమున ఇది ముఖ్యముగా సత్యమై యున్నది. కాని అట్లు శాస్తనిబంధనలను పాటింపనివారే ఆసురస్వభావము కలిగినవారు. కనుకనే ఆసురస్వభావము గలవారు శాస్త్రనియమముల నెరుగుటగాని, వానిని అనుసరింపవలెనను ఉద్దేశ్యమును కలిగియుండుటగాని సంభవింపదని ఇచ్చట పేర్కొనబడినది. అట్టివారిలో అధికశాతము ఆ నియమములను ఎరుగకుందురు. ఒకవేళ కొంతమంది ఆ నియమములను ఎరిగియున్నను వాని ననుసరించుటకు సిద్ధమైయుండరు.
అనగా శ్రద్ధగాని, వేదనియమానుసారము వర్తించవలెననెడి సంకల్పము గాని ఆసురస్వభావము గలవారికి ఉండదు. వారు ఆంతర్యమునందు గాని, బాహ్యమునందు గాని శుచిత్వమును కలిగియుండరు. ప్రతియొక్కరు స్నానము, దంతధావనము, క్షౌరము, శుభవస్త్రధారణము వంటి కర్మల ద్వారా దేహమును బాహ్యమునందు శుచిగా నుంచవలెను. అదే విధముగా చిత్తమును హరే కృష్ణ హరే కృష్ణ కృష్ణ కృష్ణ హరే హరే / హరే రామ హరే రామ రామ రామ హరే హరే శ్రీకృష్ణనామకీర్తనము సదా చేయుట ద్వారా శుచిగా నుంచవలెను. ఆసురీస్వభావులు ఈ అంతర్భాహ్య శుచిత్వకర్మలను అంగీకరించుటగాని, అనుసరించుటగాని చేయరు.

🌴 Chapter 16 - The Divine and Demoniac Natures - 07 🌴
07. pravṛttiṁ ca nivṛttiṁ ca janā na vidur āsurāḥ
na śaucaṁ nāpi cācāro na satyaṁ teṣu vidyate
🌷 Translation : Those who are demoniac do not know what is to be done and what is not to be done. Neither cleanliness nor proper behavior nor truth is found in them.
🌹 Purport : In every civilized human society there is some set of scriptural rules and regulations which is followed from the beginning. Especially among the Āryans, those who adopt the Vedic civilization and who are known as the most advanced civilized peoples, those who do not follow the scriptural injunctions are supposed to be demons. Therefore it is stated here that the demons do not know the scriptural rules, nor do they have any inclination to follow them.
Most of them do not know them, and even if some of them know, they have not the tendency to follow them. They have no faith, nor are they willing to act in terms of the Vedic injunctions. The demons are not clean, either externally or internally. One should always be careful to keep his body clean by bathing, brushing teeth, shaving, changing clothes, etc.
As far as internal cleanliness is concerned, one should always remember the holy names of God and chant Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa, Hare Hare/ Hare Rāma, Hare Rāma, Rāma Rāma, Hare Hare. The demons neither like nor follow all these rules for external and internal cleanliness.
