*MEANING : When, by mature understanding, one can realize his individuality, then the situation he accepts under false ego becomes manifest to him.*
*PURPORT : The Māyāvādī philosophers' position is that at the ultimate issue the individual is lost, everything becomes one, and there is no distinction between the knower, the knowable and knowledge. But by minute analysis we can see that this is not correct. Individuality is never lost, even when one thinks that the three different principles, namely the knower, the knowable and knowledge, are amalgamated or merged into one. The very concept that the three merge into one is another form of knowledge, and since the perceiver of the knowledge still exists, how can one say that the knower, knowledge and knowable have become one? The individual soul who is perceiving this knowledge still remains an individual. Both in material existence and in spiritual existence the individuality continues; the only difference is in the quality of the identity. In the material identity, the false ego acts, and because of false identification, one takes things to be different from what they actually are. That is the basic principle of conditional life. Similarly, when the false ego is purified, one takes everything in the right perspective. That is the state of liberation.*

కమలాక్షుడు వెండితో నిర్మింపబడే పెద్ద నగరమును, ఆనందముతో నిండియున్న విద్యున్మాలి వజ్రమువలె కఠినమైన ఇనుముతో చేసిర పెద్ద నగరమును కోరిరి (47). ఓ బ్రహ్మా! మధ్యాహ్నకాలములో చంద్రుడు పుష్యానక్షత్ర యుక్తుడై అభిజిల్లగ్నమునందు ఉన్న సమయములో ఈ మూడు నగరములు ఒకే స్థానమునందుండవలెను (48). ఈ నగరములు ఆకాశములో నల్లని మేఘముల నడుమ ఒక దానిపై మరియొకటి ఉండి కంటికి కానరాకూడదు. మరియు వేయి సంవత్సరముల తరువాత పుష్కరావర్తమను పేరు గల ప్రలయకాల మేఘములు వర్షించు చుండగా (49), ఈ మూడు పురములు కలిసి ఒకటి కాగా మేము అన్యోన్యము కలిసి ఉండెదము. దీనికి భిన్నమైన వరముతో మాకు పనిలేదు (50).
సర్వ దేవతా స్వరూపుడు, సర్వులకు దైవము అగు శివుడు విలాసముగా సర్వసామగ్రితో కూడి యున్న ఒకానొక ఊహకు అందని రథములో నున్నవాడై (51) అచింత్యమగు ఒకే ఒక బాణముతో మా నగరములను భేదించు గాక! చర్మాంబరధారి యగు శివునితో మాకే నాడూ వైరము లేదు (52). ఆయన మాకు వందనీయుడు, పూజ్యుడు. మా నగరములను ఆయన ఏల దహించును? అని వారు మనస్సులో తలపోసి భూలోకమునందు దుర్లభమగు అట్టి వరమును కోరిరి(53).
సనత్కుమారుడిట్లనెను -
లోకములకు పితామహుడు, సృష్టికర్తయగు బ్రహ్మ వారి మాటలను విని శివుని స్మరిస్తూ వారితో 'అటులనే అగుగాక!' అని పలికెను (54). ఓ మయా! నీవు బంగారము, వెండి, ఇనుములతో ఎక్కడనైననూ మూడు నగరములను నిర్మించుము అని ఆయన మయునకు ఆజ్ఞనిచ్చెను (55). బ్రహ్మ మయుని ఇట్లు ఆజ్ఞాపించి, ఆ తారకపుత్రులు ప్రత్యక్షముగా చూచుచుండగనే తన ధామము అగు సత్యలోకమును ప్రవేశించెను (56).

We will join together during midday at the time of Abhijit when the moon shall be in the constellation Puṣya, when the dark clouds Puṣkara and Āvarta[3] shower in plenty without being visible in the firmament with sporting clouds, at the end of a thousand years. These cities shall never join otherwise.
51-53. O Brahmā, when these cities are joined together, the lord who embodies all the gods sitting in a wonderful chariot containing all necessary adjuncts, may, in his distorted sport, discharge a wonderful single arrow and pierce our cities. Lord Śiva is free from enmity with us. He is worthy of our worship and respect. How can he burn us? This is what we think in our minds. A person like him is difficult to get in the world.
Sanatkumāra said:—
54. On hearing their words, Brahmā, the grandfather and creator of the worlds remembered Śiva and told them “Let it be so.”
