దేవుని కథల యందాసక్తి లేనివారు అదృష్టహీనులు. వానిని సతతము వినుట, కీర్తించుట, మరల మరల స్మరించుట పుణ్యకార్యము. శౌనకాది మునులు కూడ నిత్యము సూతమహర్షి ప్రవచనములు విను చుందురని ప్రతీతి. ఎచ్చట దివ్యకథల శ్రవణము జరుగుచుండునో అచట శ్రీమాత సాన్నిధ్య ముండునని తెలియవలెను. అట్టి తెలివితో ప్రవచించుట, శ్రవణము చేయుట యుండవలెను. వినిన కథలను ప్రశంసించుకొను చుండవలెను. పుణ్యకథల విమర్శ, విచికిత్స అహంకార హేతువు. భక్తి శ్రద్దలతో వినుట, కీర్తించుట శ్రీమాత అనుగ్రహమునకు ఒక చక్కని ఉపాయము.

Unfortunate are those who are not interested in God's stories. It is a meritorious act to listen to them constantly, glorify then, and recollect them again and again. It is believed that even the monks like Shaunaka etc listen to Suta Maharshi's preachings all the time. It should be known that Srimata's proximity is present wherever the hearing of divine stories is going on. There should be preaching and listening with such intelligence. The stories heard should be appreciated. Criticism and dissection of the holy stories is an indication of ego. Listening and glorifying with devotional attention is a good way to propitiate Srimata
